In the 7th episode of Miss Hammurabi Korean Drama, Ba Reun knows family is important to him after seeing Cha Oh Reum treats the strange ladies as her aunts, and realizes that he misunderstood his father before.

Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun feel awkward in the office, he regrets to confess his feeling to her. Se Sang shows up, and asks for team dinner.
Se Sang is in a good mood during the team dinner, asks to barbecue more often. Sa Sung agrees, and thinks their department is like a family, thinking they should love each other.
He asks people to clink their glasses to next saying I love you, when he shouts, “love!” But Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun feel doesn’t want to do because they’re awkward. Do Yeon catches the change to clink his glass, saying, “I Love you!” Sa Sung thinks she gets wrong message, and claims he asks people to clink next, not in front of. Dan Di laughs, and wants to clink with Ba Reun as well.

Sa Sung grumbles that family can be your worst enemy, when Cha Oh Reum asks him about the case he is dealing with, and recalls the two sisters scold him when he wants to stop them from fight. But Dan Di disagrees, and thinks senior citizens are the worst, recalling she argued with a old men who wanted to see the judge. Ji Young claims professor is worst, and reveals he visits her everyday to judge her report. Se Sang thinks their cases aren’t worst, and reveals he had a case with a pastor.
The elder son and second son are arguing in the court. The second Son as a pastor thinks his brother getting their father land with immoral way, and wants to send him into a fiery pit. The elder son loses his temper when his younger brother calls him defendant, and fights with him. Dan Di wants to end their fight, but Se Sang lets them continue, and thinks fishier person usually is with louder voice.
The third son tells Se Sang that his father cannot walk on his own, and his memory is deteriorating. The defendant is against it, and says that his father is very strong. But the daughter mocks the defendant that he never visited his father. The defendant abuses his younger sister then.

Se Sang asks the third son that who took care of his father before the defendant took him. The third son says it was the youngest, and thinks the elder brother shouldn’t take the land since he didn’t take care of their father. The daughter emphasizes that his father’s land is worth five million dollars.
The elder son and the second son argue again, the second son asks God to punish his older brother while lifting his hands. Se Sang tells him to pray in the church, and claims it’s court, asking to take a break.
Se Sang thinks his big mouth is a problem when walking Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun to settlement room, and asks Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun to come in when they’re still awkward.
Se Sang tells Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun that money is the problem when they’re in the settlement room, and gives an example that hyenas and vultures bit and rip cow after he died. But Ba Reun talks back with the meadow of the Serengeti. Se Sang thinks he didn’t respect him, and claims he isn’t going to leave any penny to his children.

Ba Reun is curious how the father earned the millions of dollars with his factory. He recalls the daughter revealed his father earned money through bought pieces of land. Then he is curious why the father lost all of his lands except one. The second son says that the defendant was good at spending money, the daughter adds that his father told the defendant to not work, and have fun.
Se Sang asks defendant what kind of business he is running, the second son answers the question for his brother.
July, 1997.
The defendant’s friend persuades him to borrow as much as possible money from his dad to live independent, when he is playing golf club, and invests the money into the international fund.
The second son says that the defendant opened up a film production, but the third son adds that he loves to watch adult films.
The second son reveals the defendant set up an IT company then, but the third son points out that his oldest brother is computer illiterate, and reveals he set up a face mask company in China.
Se Sang thinks they shouldn’t fight like that in court as family after he returned settlement room, and thinks it’s all money’s fault. But Ba Reun disagrees, and thinks they just follow their human nature, and reveals poor families also have problems.
Se Sang asks him why he is negative about every single matter, but Ba Reun denies, and thinks he is just objective, saying that the eldest son got benefit because his swift action.
Cha Oh Reum is thinking about something, Se Sang asks her to speak out. But she denies, he teases her that it’s written all over her face. She thinks they should go for mediation, but Se Sang yells, and thinks it won’t work. She adds that his siblings will file another suit, even if the defendant wins.
Se Sang agrees it, and asks Ba Reun what he thinks. Ba Reun guesses that the defendant will hide his father. She thinks they should persuades the defendant to end the dispute. But Ba Reun thinks court shouldn’t interfere their business.
Se Sang asks to do the mediation in the court, and asks the defendant and plaintiffs to write down what they want.
Se Sang asks Ba Reun to divide the inheritance when they’re in the hallway, but Ba Reun thinks it’s Cha Oh Reum’s idea, and asks him why he would do it. Se Sang lifts his hand, and says that Ba Reun is the right-seat judge. But Ba Reun points out Se Sang is let-handed. Se Sang takes off the blue padding on his left thumb, and wears it on right thumb, claiming that he is ambidextrous.
Cha Oh Reum and Ba Reun argue to decide who will divide the inheritance in the office. He comes in when she bares her leg, and says that he has an error in the draft. He tells her that they shouldn’t bring their personal matter to work, because they’re judges. She agrees, and feels sorry. He smiles, and thinks she doesn’t have to do it because he is Ba Reun. She laughs, and says that she won’t feel comfortable anymore.
Ba Reun’s mother welcomes him after he returned home. She is excited when he is taking food, and thinks he puts his heart into memorial services. He tells her to asks his uncle to prepare the food with his heart if he says it to her. He grumbles that his father carries around an extra phone battery, even if he isn’t a salesman. She tells him not to be too harsh on his father, and thinks his dad is just kind. But he says it’s a sin to be incompetent and nice, and returns his room. She sighs.
Aunt thinks Ba Reun should marry a rich girl so that they can get benefit from it, during family dinner, but father scolds her, and thinks his son shouldn’t chase money. Uncle thinks his older brother is selfish, and reveals the whole family supported him so that he could go to university. Father tells uncle that he won’t welcome him if he keeps talking those things. Meanwhile, father drops the extra phone battery. Uncles mocks father that nobody will call him to offer him a human rights job. Father takes the battery from uncle, and is frustrated. Ba Reun is frustrated as well, and plays guitar in his room.
Do Yeon comes to Cha Oh Reum’s office, and asks for a afternoon off, and reveals she wants to take her father to see the court. Bo Wang sees Do Yeon walking an old man around the court, and comes to Cha Oh Reum’s office, and mentions she was with an old man around court. Cha Oh Reum reveals it’s her father, but Bo Wang doesn’t believe it.
The daughter grumbles in the court that his father gave too much love to his brothers, but neglected her. Se Sang reveals he has many cases need to be processed, and asks her to talk to him in his office. Then he asks her to go out, after she talked what she wanted in his office.
Cha Oh Reum finds out Ba Reun is so sensitive to his family while talking about the property case, and tells him that family means a lot to her.
The defendant reveals plaintiffs never visited their father unless they wanted to ask for money. But the daughter disagrees, and says that his wife stopped her from seeing father. Se Sang mocks that they are good sons and daughter.
Cha Oh Reum recalls Ba Reun told her that he didn’t need family when walking him outside the court. Just then a woman takes family photo with her two kids.
Ba Reun recalls Cha Oh Reum told him that her family meant a lot to her, when he is in the bus. He recalls aunt mocked his mother that she treated his father as money plant pot, when they asked grandpa for help.
Father took a strange woman and a boy at home, and asked Ba Reun to call the boy as younger brother.
Father thinks youths shouldn’t chase money and security when watching TV with Ba Reun. But Ba Reun says that youths don’t have future, so that they have to be survival in the cruel world.
Se Sang is mad because the assets case, but Cha Oh Reum asks him to call the father and the youngest to the court before they make conclusion. The defendant agrees to summon his father, and claims he is much better now.
Bo Wang comes to Cha Oh Reum’s office, and asks to come to her aunt’s place together tomorrow. She is happy, and reveals her aunt missed him too much. Bo Wang asks Cha Oh Reum to take Do Yeon as well. She teases him, and thinks he treats Do Yeon as family. Ba Reun recalls it’s Cha Oh Reum’s birthday tomorrow.
He buys perfume as present, and wants to give her. But he gives up because he doesn’t know what he can say while giving her the present.
Aunts teases Bo Wang in the market, he claims the suit is borrowed from his father. He claims he is a treasured prince, and looks around. Aunts think he is waiting his girlfriend. He denies, and asks Do Yeon to sit next to him after she arrived. Cha Oh Reum tells Do Yeon that he looked like a meerkat when he was waiting her. Aunts like Do Yeon, and asks her to run business with them in the market.
Cha Oh Reum tells Ba Reum that the ladies are her family, and reveals they have lived in her grandma’s house over 10 years.
10 Years ago.
One aunt wanted to leave, because she gave all her money to her love. Grandma scolded her, and asked her to live with her, although the aunt claims that she has big mouth.
Grandma protected another aunt from his husband’s beating when she was pregnancy. Grandma screamed, and asked to call an ambulance.
Cha Oh Reum tells Ba Reum that people become a family when they have hard time, and thinks it’s a real family. He adds that you can be family, even if don’t share blood.
Meanwhile, Yong Jun shows up, and says happy birthday to Cha Oh Reum with purses. But she rejects it, and grandma thinks it’s too much.
Young Jun asks to treat everyone meal, and pours Ba Reum drink. Cha Oh Reum says that Ba Reum cannot drink. But Ba Reum accepts it. Bo Wang asks Do Yeon if she likes her job, she reveals the job gives her what she wants, and leaves.
Bo Wang followers her, and sees her driving away. He is curious what she does.
Aunts think Ba Reum falls for Cha Oh Reum when he is drunk, but Cha Oh Reum claims he is just her colleague.
Cha Oh Reum calls taxi for Ba Reum at street, but he claims he can call it himself, and asks her to go home. He gives the present to her, and says happy birthday to her. She smiles when looking at the present.
The father doesn’t recognize his 3 sons and 1 daughter during trial, they asks judges to split the assets. Se Sang asks them why they eliminate the youngest from the assets. They reveals the youngest was adopted, and claims they will sue him if he wants assets from his father.
The youngest kneels down in front of his father, and tears up while asking him to stay healthy. Father doesn’t want him to go, and reveals he is scared when he isn’t there.
Ba Reum returns home, and asks his mother why she married his father. Mother reveals his father saved people in the bus after accident with his blood, and explains to him that his father takes an extra phone battery is to wait people when they need his blood.
Ba Reum asks mother about the kid and woman in their home before, she reveals it’s his father’s junior’s child. Ba Reum yells at his mother, and thinks she should tell him in advance. She realizes his son misunderstood his father, and asks him to marry rich lady. Just then father wakes up, and greet his son. Ba Reum stares at his father, when he is watching TV.
