In the 8th episode of Miss Hammurabi Korean Drama, Cha Oh Reum tears up after seeing the plaintiff did everything he could for his kids, and reminds her mother. Ba Reun goes to hospital to see her mother, and plays guitar for her mother. Miss Hammurabi is moved by him.

Ba Reun doesn’t feel well while reading a guy’s case with depression. Cha Oh Reum thinks he caught a cold yesterday, because Bo Wang abandoned him during the dinner. He tells her he is ok, and reveals Bo Wang is upset because of eating too much.
There are two guys badmouthing Do Yeon in the washroom, and are startled by Bo Wang, when he is showing up suddenly.
Ba Reun recalls Cha Oh Reum told aunts that he isn’t his type when they thought he is drunk. She thinks Bo Wang has hard time because of Do Yeon, but he says Bo Wang isn’t a adolescent.

She gets a call from Yong Jun, and asks him to take his bags back. Then she explains to Ba Reun that Yong Jun called her for pointless stuff. He claims she doesn’t have to explain it, as he is just her right-seat judge. He grumbles that Bo Wang should buy stuff from here and there to Do Yeon like Yong Jun, if he loves her. Cha Oh Reum is shocked.
He goes to washroom, and says that she is the type he detest. Just then Se Sang shows up, and thinks Ba Reun detest him. Ba Reun denies, and says that he just talked about someone else. Se Sang thinks he looks weird, and finds out Ba Reun used up the last paper towel.
Cha Oh Reum tells Ba Reun that she is going to get off the work, he just ignores her.
The plaintiff Lee Young Soo’s parents fight with defendant in the court, because they think he turned their son that way. But defendant’s lawyer thinks they lack the evidence to support their argument. Young Soo takes out a diary which was written what defendant did on him. The lawyer reveals Wooil Group wants offer a small compensation to plaintiff, but Young Soo’s father rejects it.
Sa Sung is curious why the plaintiff committed suicide since he has good job and wife, when he is drinking coffee outside. Cha Oh Reum thinks Ba Reun will find out the truth.

Ba Reun tells Cha Oh Reum that he feels guilty after reading plaintiff’s diary.
Ba Reun meets up with defendant alone, and asks him if he reproached the plaintiff for missing the company dinner, the defendant laughs, and denies.
The defendant scolded Young Soo in front of others, and said that company dinner is an extension of his work, when Young Soo didn’t feel well.
The defendant explains to Ba Reun that he just reminded the plaintiff that teamwork is essential. But Ba Reun asks him why he told Young Soo to wear same color shirt with others.
The defendant scolded Young Soo, and asked him to look around and see what others are wearing, thinking he is in competence. Young Soo glares at him, the defendant shames him in front of others.

Se Sang scolds Do Yeon after knowing she accepted the pack of prostate medicine for him, and pretends it’s for his father-in-law. She suggests him to sit down while peeing. He is very awkward.
Ba Reun asks Young Soo’s father if his son loved English literature, he admits, and thinks his son’s hobby is too childish. Ba Reun thinks Young Soo’s mother cares his son too much, and reveals she called his boss, and visited his office more often.
Sa Sung thinks parent’s expectations are a scary thing, when walking Ba Reun outside, and reveals his parents bragged that he is judge, but he actually isn’t a judge.
Ba Reun stands at rooftop, and recalls his uncle asked him to pour him a drink when visiting his house.
Cha Oh Reum asks Ba Reun to go home and take a break, when he doesn’t look well. But he claims he can deal with it himself. She tells him that they’re a team.
Ba Reun asks Young Soo’s wife if she told her husband to get divorced. She thought he cheated on her, and reveals he rented a house without returning home. Ba Reun reveals her husband just wrote his last wishes in the house.
Ba Reun summons everyone to do the mediation, and thinks everybody should take responsibility to Young Soo.
Ba Reun recites the poem Young Soo wrote while walking in the hallway, he runs into Gong Choong and chief presiding judge. Gong Choong asks chief presiding judge which place he wants to dinner out. But chief presiding judge doesn’t give her a answer.
Cha Oh Reum tells Ba Reun that chief presiding judge made a reservation at a pasta restaurant for young judges.
Chief presiding judge thinks the menu is too complicated, and orders the lunch set. Others judges order the lunch set as well, but Cha Oh Reum asks to take a look at the menu, and thinks they shouldn’t get the same thing with smile. Ba Reun asks to take a look at the menu as well.
Ba Reun smells the scent of the perfume he gave her, and wants to ask her if she wears it. But she gets a call from Ms. Cho, and goes to see him. Bo Wang comes to Do Yeon’s office, but he leaves while seeing her.
Cha Oh Reum thinks the plaintiff is a good father when seeing him playing with his kids. But the plaintiff yells at his children, and tells them their mother isn’t a good person. Cha Oh Reum comes to scolds him, and recalls he claimed that he would die with his children in the court.
Ji Young tells Cha Oh Reum that she was moved by the plaintiff when he talked about the kids in the court, but she thinks children won’t lonely if they can live at countryside.
Se Sang vomits when sitting in the sofa, his wife asks him to exercise after giving the medicine. But he thinks it’s dangerous to exercise at his age. She asks him to clean the dishes. But he farts when getting up.
Se Sang greets his daughter when she returns home. But she ignores him. He thinks she should show her face to her father at least, and receives the face photo from his daughter. He abuses her, his wife thinks he shouldn’t bother his daughter.
Do Yeon gives a letter to Se Sang when he feels tired in the office. He asks her to give it to Ji Young after knowing it’s from plaintiff. But he reads the letter himself, and realizes something.
Se Sang tells Ba Reun and Cha Oh Reum that the woman helps plaintiff for his kids isn’t his real aunt, and thinks the case is very different. Because plaintiff will lose his children, even if his wife cheated on him.
Se Sang yells at home, and wants to see his daughters. But his wife afraid of waking them. He comes to daughter’s room, and thinks they look like little kids while sleeping.
Se Sang tells plaintiff that the law cannot help him because he cannot provide the living his kids want. The plaintiff cries out in the court, he is helplessness. Cha Oh Reum cries out at washroom as well.
Ba Reun asks Cha Oh Reum, “Did you cry out?” She admits, and tells him that she is envy of plaintiff and Ji Young’s daughter, as they have father or mother who loves them so much. She tells him that she is disappearing from her mom’s memory.
Just then She gets a call from someone, and wants to see her mother. He asks her to go with her, but she thinks he cannot help it. He claims he is her right-seat judge, she tears up.
The nurse tells Cha Oh Reum that the director wants to see her, after they arrived at the hospital. Ba Reun tries to talk to her mother, but she is dull. He sees a guitar in the room.
Cha Oh Reum steps in the room, he is playing guitar for her mother. She tears up, when seeing her mom is enjoying the song.
