Misty Korean Drama Review

Tenacity is something you can achieve after all kinds of hits. Although you may feel tired on the path, you may find out there isn’t thing you cannot solve. The 2018 Korean drama Misty tells something about it and make me rethink my life.

Misty

Unlike other Korean drama, Misty’s stage happens in a fictitious TV station JBC. Go Hye Ran (Kim Nam-Joo), as News Nine’s anchor, is admired by other people, but the truth is her position will be replaced by her junior Han Ji Won any time when she makes the mistake. Fortunately, Misty equips a perfect husband Kang Tae Wook (Ji Jin-Hee) to Kim Nam-Joo. He supports her no matter what situation is, he wants to protect her even if he knows she knows she slept with her ex. Ji Jin-Hee shows his selfless spirit in Misty, that why there are many women in Korean want to marry him.

This is why Kim Seung-Woo appoints Ji Jin-Hee as Kim Nam-Joo’s husband in Korean drama Misty. Although Kim Seung-Woo and Kim Nam-Joo are professional actor and actress in Korea, he thinks he will feel better when the hero is Ji Jin-Hee as it’s first time for Kim Nam-Joo to be lead role since her previous Korean drama “My Husband Got a Family” in 2012.

What I love Misty is the lead role wants to ask for justice, even if she has rather sordid past. She tells Jin Ki-Joo that she am not infatuated with anchor of News Nine and thinks Jin Ki-Joo cannot touch her seat as Jin Ki-Joo is greedy person and will guide the public into wrong side. But Jin Ki-Joo cannot understand her ideal and thinks she can get what she want through her body.

She realizes her responsibility as an anchor when Kim Nam-Joo is arrested because of Kevin Lee (Go Joon). We see a newborn Jin Ki-Joo in Misty. She isn’t such greedy girl anymore and knows the importance of her position and does what her senior did for justice.

Misty also set ups a terrible ex-boyfriend Go Joon to Kim Nam-Joo. Go Joon worked hard and became the top golfer, returning Korea after dumped by Kim Nam-Joo. He wants to get her back and provoke Ji Jin-Hee. He tells Ji Jin-Hee that he still loves Kim Nam-Joo even if he has a wife Seo Eun Joo (Jeon Hye-Jin). Ji Jin-Hee returns home and is in tears alone when lying in bed, Kim Nam-Joo hurts him most than Go Joon. Because she still doesn’t confess to him when he knows everything. But he still wants to help his wife and reveals he loves her when Jeon Hye-Jin discloses Kim Nam-Joo’s past, and hits the man who thinks Kim Nam-Joo slept with Go Joon.

Jeon Hye-Jin treats Kim Nam-Joo well in the beginning of Misty, she makes Go Joon work with Kim Nam-Joo. But, she thinks Kim Nam-Joo has sin to her after knowing her best friend and her husband cheated on her. Jeon Hye-Jin thinks Kim Nam-Joo hasn’t cherished Ji Jin-Hee and reveals she won’t see Go Joon if she gets the husband like Ji Jin-Hee. Then, she hides the evidence that may prove Kim Nam-Joo’s innocence.

Although Kim Nam-Joo shows her tough side to her junior and her husband, she is afraid of her mother-in-law. She kneels down and confesses that she was abortion to get the position in News Nine. Because she wants to get the power which comes from her father-in-law.

She knows that she was invited as the spokeswoman of blue house is because his husband’s family, that’s why she broke up with Go Joon when knowing Ji Jin Hee loves her and shares the source which comes from his family with her. But the problem her father-in-law doesn’t accept her and didn’t appear in their wedding, as he thinks she comes from a poor family.

Kim Nam-Joo has a great mother in Misty, she lets her daughter to eat well and live better when Kim Nam-Joo treats her as a burden. Fame and fortune may dull human’s conscience, so that you cannot feel the love. Kim Nam-Joo doesn’t get the chance to see her mother before she dies. She thinks she has more important thing to do, but Ji Jin-Hee thinks there isn’t any thing which is important than see her mother last time, so that he sees her true face clearly and decides to divorce with her.

Kang Ki Joon (Ahn Nae-Sang) targets Kim Nam-Joo and thinks she killed Go Joon, he is also the henchman of Byeon Woo Hyun (Kim Hyung-Jong). But he meets Ji Jin-Hee who tries to protect his wife even if it will violate law which he tries to maintain. Fortunately, Ahn Nae-Sang arrested Kim Nam-Joo successfully in Jeon Hye-Jin’s help.

There is another man Ha Myung Woo (Im Tae-Kyung) want to protect Kim Nam-Joo except Ji Jin-Hee. Im Tae-Kyung replaced Kim Nam-Joo to prison after she killed someone. That’s why Ahn Nae-Sang wants to arrest her. Im Tae-Kyung tries to hit Kim Nam-Joo’s enemy after he was out of prison.
