Empress knew it but she didn’t punish Ms. Zhang. She told her to remember the kindness and wished her to help Crown Prince when he meets the same trouble.
Crown Prince finds the scroll inside the place he hid jade hairpin. He thrills. Before the two leave, Emperor takes Qi Prince arriving. Crown Prince gives the scroll to Emperor, but it’s just a blank paper inside the scroll.
Emperor rages to throw the blank paper to the floor, and tells Crown Prince to confess. Crown Prince is with resentment. Qi Prince is happy to follow Emperor, but Emperor gives Qi Prince a slap. Qi Prince is stunned.
Emperor knew anything, but to him, Qi Prince is son and Crown Prince is subordinate. So he had to do so. Emperor asks Palace General to tell Crown Prince to consider the overall situation.
Ms. Wu fears that she knows too much and decides to flee. Ms. Jiang chases her and sees someone strangling Ms. Wu’s neck. Ms. Wu realizes that Qi Prince used her as a gun before she dies. The servant claims that Qi Prince asked him to do that. Ms. Jiang doesn’t suspect the servant.
In the evening, Emperor doesn’t sleep. He takes out Empress’s portrait, and his eyes are soft. He remembers something. Palace General comforts Crown Prince that Emperor won’t give him hard time when he apologize. Crown Prince learns that Emperor still cares for him, and he feels warm.
The next day, Crown Prince walks in the court. He takes off his clothes and takes all of the duties. Emperor decides to end the crown ceremony. But Bo Zhou thinks it’s not enough. He asks to fire Shi Yu and take off Ding Quan’s title of crown prince.
Emperor decides to send Crown Prince to Zongzheng temple. Crown Prince is disappointed. Shi Yu offers to look into the case, and he intends to return the innocence to Crown Prince with his life.
But Bo Zhou sneers at Shi Yu with bad intent. Crown Prince cannot stand it. He helps Shi Yu up and claims that he has the evidence.
Ms. Wu shows up with the servant who killed her, and the servant was arranged by Crown Prince and Feng En. Ms. Wu knew the real face of Qi Prince, and she agrees to take out the evidence.
Qi Prince is shocked when seeing Ms. Wu, but he still doesn’t admit his sin. Crown Prince asks to open the scroll. Qi Prince panics to reveal the scroll he gave Ms. Wu was blank paper. Emperor tells Qi Prince to explain it to people himself.
