Crown Prince sees the poem on the painting, and asks Lu Madam where Wen Xi is. She asks him to try his best to protect Wen Xi, and he learns that the men were for her.
Wen Pu tells Wen Jing not to fight with those men, and Wen Jing cries to run to Crown Prince. Shao Yu shows up and tells Wen Pu that he asked them to take him back. He spots Crown Prince, and asks his men to arrest him.
Crown Prince asks who gave Lu Zheng the guts to arrest Lu Ying’s families, but Shao Yun says that he can arrest his families as well. Crown Prince hurts Shao Yun’s wrist, and Shao Yun asks his men to arrest Crown Prince.
Crown Prince’s men stop Shao Yun and his men. When Crown Prince intends to take away Wen Jing, the man explains that they don’t dare to break the law without order.
Shao Yun provokes Crown Prince to break imperial edict, but Crown Prince cowers. So Shao Yun takes away Wen Jing and Wen Pu. Wen Pu asks Crown Prince to protect his sister before he leaves.
The man reports to Zhao Prince that the men took away Wen Jing. Wen Xi coughs and asks for water.
Crown Prince bursts into and asks Emperor why it gets Lu Ying’s involved when he isn’t conviction. Emperor tells Crown Prince not to step in because he left the job to punishment department.
Crown Prince thinks it’s not appropriate to let Lu Zheng look into the case. But Emperor thinks Crown Prince wants to protect Wen Xi. Crown Prince says that it’s not related to the personal relationship. Emperor asks Crown Prince to exchange Shi Yu’s reputation with Lu Ying’s family.
Zhao Prince takes Wen Xi to drink milk when she coughs. He drinks it when she hesitates. But the man worries about Zhao Prince. Wen Xi stops cough, and Zhao Prince tells her that the milk can detoxify.
Wen Xi asks for a horse. Zhao Prince tells the man to give his horse to Wen Xi, but he asks him not to let her leave.
Emperor tells the man to give the title of Shi Yu to rite department, and it cannot be changed no matter he is alive or not. He tells Crown Prince not to regret for his choice and cry to beg him.
Ms. Li tells Wen Xi that she and Ming An worried about it when they heard that she got involved. Ming An tells Wen Xi not to go out, and he wants to leave with her after he saves Wen Jing.
Ming An tells Wen Xi that he can only protect her and Wen Jing, but she asks him to ask Emperor a favor. He says that nobody can save Wen Pu and Lu Ying, and he is powerless.
Wen Xi is on knees to beg Ming An, but he rejects it. She says that it’s her mistake, and he thinks she shouldn’t go to the moving palace. Wen Xi intends to leave, but Ming An reminds her that Crown Prince won’t take the love with her because he is lord.
Wen Xi returns home and finds the painting, and she remembers Crown Prince asked for same painting with double cranes.
Ms. Li worries that Wen Xi will be arrested by the people of punishment department. She asks Ming An why he didn’t help Lu Ying, and she has no face to see the kids. He says that he doesn’t dare to mention the word “Lu”, because Emperor trusts him.
Ming An says that he cannot take off the suspicion if he asserts a claim with military leadership. He doesn’t want to be the second Si Lin.
Feng En is drunk to visit Shi Yu’s house, and he sees Madam Lu crying. The servant reveals Emperor gave the title, and Feng En thinks it’s not a good title and wants to visit Emperor.
Crown Prince stops Feng En and asks the men to take away him. Crown Prince tells Madam Lu that Emperor deprive’s Feng En’s qualification of examination. Feng En sits on the floor and tears up.
Wen Xi runs to stop Crown Prince’s carriage, and the bodyguards catch her. Wen Xi introduces herself as Wen Jing, and Crown Prince tells the bodyguards to step down.
Wen Xi gives the painting to Crown Prince, but he returns it to her. She ask him if she can expect what he promised her, but he tells her that he is powerless and heartless.
Wen Xi tears up and thinks she is stupid and shameless. She runs away with the painting.
It’s flashback. Emperor questions Crown Prince if his choice contains the personal relationship to Shi Yu, and thinks he can give up the justice for the personal relationship. He wonders what standpoint he takes to raise a hue and cry to him.
Emperor tells Crown Prince that what he has are given by him, and wonders why he visited him if he had the power. He asks him what he can protect, and he treats it as the promise he gave him. He threatens him that if he steps in the case of Lu Ying, he will get nothing.
