This is second episode of Sketch Korean Drama, Dong Soo does everything he can to save his fiance Ji Soo. But she was dead finally, because of his previous decision. The Principle of Causality, the current action will affect the future result. No matter what you do, your decision is always wrong.
Sketch Korean Drama Recap: Episode 2
Do Jin’s wife sees him off outside their home, and gives him a goodbye kiss. Ji Soo called Do Jin under a bridge, and had a meet three weeks ago. She mentioned the special force solider was killed by the armed soldier, and she received a anonymous email about this case, asking him, did he sent the email. He didn’t admit, but asked her how to find it. She revealed she find him because he sent a email through internet cafe, and asked him to testify. But he didn’t want to be a traitor. She promised to him that she would always be his side no matter what happened during the case. He asked her to give him some time.
Wife climbed to bed when Do Jin was lying in there, and asked him what the matter. He denied. But she indicated that his face showed everything when he had a problem, and pointed to his mouth. He laughed, and said that he will took care of it. She held his arm on her should while lying, saying that she had a faith in him. He hugged her and slept.
Present time
Ji Soo gets a call from Do Jin who asks for meet. She asks Detective Ahn if he is hungry, but he denies. She says that she is hungry, and asks him to order snack from the snack shop across street. But he mentions Dong Soo ordered him to protect her. She claims she is a prosecutor, and gives him cash. He doesn’t accept it, and wants to treat her.
She gets in her car after he left. Shi Hyun is persuading Jin Young to tell the truth when Dong Soo walks around the victim’s room. But Jin Young thinks she cannot face his husband if he finds out. Dong Soo calls Shi Hyun to another room, and sneers that she just wasted time. She says that she will do it, and returns Jin Young, telling her that they will designate her as a testifier to issue the subpoena if she doesn’t cooperate with them. Jin Young says that there are two guys broke into her house. Shi Hyun asks her their facial features. But Jin Young cannot remember it. Shi Hyun thinks she has short-term memory lose, and she will remember it through counseling and hypnosis, but they don’t have time to do it. Dong Soo kneels down in front of victim, and asks her if she remembers their voices. She says that she bit one guy’s earlobe. Shi Hyun calls Young Sim, and asks her to check, if anyone went to the hospital to get their earlobe treated.
Shi Hyun thinks Dong Soo makes Jin Young’s life worse by visiting her. But he thinks she is awfully sentimental. She disagrees, and thinks he knows nothing about her. He says that she showed everything when met Jin Young, and thinks they have nothing to do, but to catch the two punks. She tells him that she won’t forgive him if he puts victim into trouble because of Ji Soo. Just then Detective Ahn calls Dong Soo, and says that his fiance disappears. Dong Soo asks him why he didn’t stop her, Detective Ahn says that he cannot do that because she is a prosecutor.
Ji Soo tells Dong Soo that she needs to meet someone when he runs outside, and calls her. He begs her to return home. Meanwhile, Young Sim tells Shi Hyun that there was a person treated his earlobe at hospital, his name is Park Min Cheol who is working as mechanic at a body shop. Ji Soo gets a car accident when Do Jin calls her, her phone is broken then.
Dong Soo grasps Min Cheol’s head, and hits on the car, asking him where is another guy, after he found him. But Shi Hyun stops Dong Soo, and finds out there isn’t any scar on his ear. Min Cheol says that there is a guy named Seo Bo Yun whose ear got hurt. Meanwhile, Ji Soo comes to Bo Yun’s body shop.
Dong Soo tells Shi Hyun that he locked Bo Yun up a few years ago, while they’re in the car. The scene goes to the time Dong Soo catches Bo Yun. Dong Soo kicks Bo Yun when he is going to confess, and tells him that he doesn’t have to, and punches him. Bo Yun hugs Dong Soo’s leg and begs for forgiving, but Dong Soo wants him to experience torment while he is in jail.
Dong Soo thinks he must catch Bo Yun, and asks him to say another guy’s information, otherwise his partner will commit assault again. Bo Yun asks Ji Soo to come to his office because her card was declined after repairing her car. He pulls out a knife, and kidnaps her when a car shows up.
Dong Soo finds Ji Soo’s car after entering the body shop, and pulls out his gun to chase Bo Yun when he kidnaps his fiance. Bo Yun recognizes Dong Soo, and knows Ji Soo is his girlfriend when she calls his name. Dong Soo asks Bo Yun to release his fiance, but he wants to make a hole in her neck. Dong Soo has to throw off his gun, Bo Yun stuns Ji Soo, and puts her into a pool. Shi Hyun asks Dong Soo to chase Bo Yun, and says that she will save Ji Soo. But he jumps into pools to save his fiance. Shi Hyun has to chase Bo Yun, and robs his night, hurting his teeth. But she is stunned when saving Bo Yun, then he beats her down with brick.
Bo Yun’s partner breaks into Soo Young’s house, and picks up a hammer. She asks him who he is, he kills her with the hammer while fighting. Dong Soo saves Ji Soo from the pool at the same time. The polices are waiting outside Do Jin’s house when he returns home. He breaks the seal, and rushes into his house.
Bo Yun’s partner tells police that he won’t kill her if she gave in. Do Jin cries out when seeing Soo Young’s death body, and asks her why she chose to die. Dong Soo walks Ji Soo home, and asks her to stay at hospital, but she thinks she doesn’t need to do. Young Sim calls Shi Hyun’s name, and thinks she isn’t going to die when Shi Hyun is lying in bed at the hospital. Jae Hyun goes outside while seeing it.
Dong Soo tells Ji Soo that he will do anything for her, and reveals he is going to quit his job as a cop, but she thinks he doesn’t have to, and asks him to stay the position which makes him happy and confident while holding his hand. He hugs her when she thinks they don’t have time to love each other.
Do Jin cries out, and feels sorry for Soo Young, after seeing the pregnancy test kit and letter Soo Young wrote to their baby. Jae Hyun has a meet with Dong Soo who thinks that Shi Hyun could not save his fiance because of his body condition. Jae Hyun says that he will save both Ji Soo and Shi Hyun if he chose to chase Bo Yun, and thinks his decision changed many results. Dong Soo says that he isn’t a superhero, and can only save his love.
Tae Joon show up at church for memorial service, priest asks him to tell God if he needs help. But Tae Joon thinks God is just a bystander, and tells him he only believes in Principle of Causality. Do Jin walks into police station, and wants to kill the person killing his wife. But Tae Joon stops him, and tells him that he can give him what he wants, asking him to kill a person for him. Then he takes him to observe a place which a person just gets off from his car. Tae Joon tells Do Jin that he is going to get drunk, and drive his car to kill 2 persons. Do Jin asks him how he knows it, Tae Joon says that he is a foresee. But Do Jin doesn’t believe him, and wants to leave. Tae Joon warns to report to police that he wants to kill the person who killed his wife.
Dong Soo asks Ji Soo to eat out when she is going to prepare dinner. She tells him that she won’t allow him to use his credit card after getting married. Do Jin runs into a mother and a daughter at street. The mother calls the daughter’s name as Soo Young. He thinks her name is beautiful.
The drunk guy scolds his driver, the driver leaves, so that he has to drive his car in person. Then he hits the mother and daughter with his car. Do Jin asks Tae Joon why he didn’t prevent it since he knew the drunk person was going to kill the mother and her daughter. He says that he can foresee future, but it doesn’t mean he can foresee everything, so that he asked him to kill the drunk person. Tae Joon tells Do Jin that what he wants is the reason to live since his wife passed away.
Shi Hyun wakes up from her dream, and asks Young Sim what happened. Young Sim tells her that Soo Young was killed, Shi Hyun thinks she will save her if she catches Bo Yun. But Young Sim thinks she did her best, and reveals Ji Soo is alive. Shi Hyun thinks the thing isn’t over, and Ji Soo is in danger, after seeing her sketch.
Bo Yun hits Dong Soo at parking pot with his car, and beats down Ji Soo. Shi Hyun wants to look for Dong Soo after he didn’t pick up his phone. Bo Yun takes Ji Soo to his place, and takes off his pants, saying that she won’t forget him. Just then Do Jin shows up, and thinks he is a garbage. Shi Hyun find Dong Soo at parking lot. He asks her to call Young Sim, Shi Hyun and Dong Soo come to Bo Yun’s place after knowing the address from Young Sim.

Do Jin tells Bo Yun that his partner killed his wife, Bo Yun thinks he will hide her body if he kills her. Do Jin robs his gun, and points to him. Bo Yun begs for forgiving, and Ji Soo thinks he will become a murderer if he kills him. But he kills him, and refuses to hand over the gun, saying that he has to make the hard decision. Ji Soo doesn’t know what he means. Dong Soo finds Bo Yun and his fiance’s death bodies after arriving the place with Shi Hyun. He is tears while hugging Ji Soo, the ring drops. He picks it up, and wears it for her, crying out while looking up.
Review
The Principle of Causality is the point of Korean drama Sketch, but it’s acceptable when it happened on hero. We’re weakness when facing God. No matter what you choose, the death will come at the end. The point is when you going to die.
Rain shows his acting skill in Korean drama Sketch. He shows his hopeless when holding You Da In at the end of the episode. He tries his best to save his fiance all the time, even if what he did is against moral. Saving his wife, but killing another woman.
I have no reason to stop Lee Dong Gun to kill You Da In at the end of Korean drama Sketch. Because she actually caused his wife’s death. You know, I can hate him, as he lost so much. Our lives are just too pitiful.
