The King Eternal Monarch: Episode 1 Review

The heroes of Korean dramas keep being replaced but the screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook doesn’t. She brings a parallel universe drama “The King Eternal Monarch” after “Descendants of the Sun“, “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” and “Mr. Sunshine“.

The hot group Lee Min-Ho and Jung Tae-Eul heat up the drama “The King Eternal Monarch”.

The King Eternal Monarch: Episode 1 Review

The elaborate set and roles arranging of the first episode contains the model of Korean drama.

Kim Eun-Sook is a screenwriter who doesn’t take from logical thinking.

“Descendants of the Sun” sets up soldier and doctor. “The Heirs” is a traditional model of bully president and cinderella, but the male lead is an illegitimate child. “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” opens the key of time travel.

“The King Eternal Monarch” sets up two spaces Republic of Korea and Kingdom of Corea.

The king wears traditional costume, but Lee Lim wears suit with gun. The blood stains portrait of the king. The costumes of ancient and modern are the highlights of “The King Eternal Monarch”.

In the end of first episode, the hero sees the policewoman who saved him. But the setting up is to romantic.

Kim Go-Eun is very cute to wear yellow pants, and she gets complained by colleagues. She ignores them.

The screenwriter Kim Eun-Sook is good at writing independent and cute female lead.

Song Hye-Kyo played a tough doctor in “Descendants of the Sun”. Ha Ji-Won played a martial arts double in “Secret Garden“.

what I dislike “The King Eternal Monarch” is that the plot process is too slow. Lee Min-Ho takes too long to see Jung Tae-Eul.
