These are the 1-2th episodes of The Rise of Phoenixes Chinese Drama 2018 Recap, Ning Yi was imprisoned for 14 years because he hunted the former prince. His mother and brother Ning Qiao died because of him. He wants to take revenge for the crown prince Ning Chuan, and meets the girl Feng Zhiwei.

Ning Yi takes his soldiers to chase Gu Heng to the cliff when he is taking a baby. He tells him he will save the baby’s life if he hands over him. Just then Ning Chuan thinks it’s a good chance, and asks his followers to catch Gu Heng. He says that he has to sacrifice his brother Ning Yi for the safe of the country. Ning Yi gives the jade plate which his father gave him to Gu Heng, and says the emperor promised him. But Ning Chuan orders his soldiers to attack, Gu Heng throws the baby, and casts an explosive to Ning Yi. He passes out after Gu Heng fled.
Nobody knows what happened that night, but Ning Chun became the crown prince because of kill the baby. Ning Yi’s fate is different.
The little Ning Yi sees his mother is dead in front of him, the adult takes a blade approaching him, saying, “they died because of you. You don’t deserve such an easy life.” He wakes up from the nightmare, and tears up.
The emperor asks why the epidemic of Xiu Pingfang is controlled well, the minister says the area is invested by the Prince of Chu Ning Yi. The emperor is curious where his son got the money, the minister reveals he sold his brocades. The emperor announces to release Ning Yi.
Ning Chuan worries Ning Yi get his position as he won emperor just through brocades, but the Prince of Zhao thinks he worried too much as he is just an abandoned prince. Drunk Ning Yi greets emperor, and vomits on a servant’s sleeve. He changes his mind as he is drunk. The emperor says that storm is upcoming. Chang Hai thinks the Prince of Zhao cannot sleep well tonight as he sent Ning Yi to Zong Zheng temple.
Ning Yi kneels outside palace as he thinks he is a sinner. The emperor calls him in palace, and says that he forgave his sin. He wants to send his son to Qin Ming academy, but ministers are against it as it’s the place to select professionals. Ning Yi tears up, and says he only wants to knit brocades. The emperor thinks Ning Yi is a nail, and he will hurt him one day. Zhao Yuan reminds him that someone else wants to get rid of his son. The emperor knows what he means, and wants to marry Ning Yi to Qiu family to protect him.
Da Hua takes her husband Xin Ziyan to buy Ning Yi’s brocades at the brocade shop. But Xin Ziyan thinks Ning Yi doesn’t have future as he made brocades fo women. Da Hua mentions her husband penciled eyebrows for women. Xin Ziyan wants to attend Ning Yi’s wedding, but Ning Yi says that he cannot accept the marriage. Qiu Shangyu doesn’t want to marry his daughter to Ning Yi as he is afraid of Cheng Sheng. Ning Yi thinks it’s not bad to send everybody to netherworld with him. Xin Ziyan says that he wants to take revenge Ning Qiao, and helps him to be a good emperor.
But Ning Yi thinks the one who should become a good emperor is Ning Qiao, but he got the reputation of rebellion. He wants to kill those people who murdered Ning Qiao, and let people walk under the sunshine free. Feng Zhiwei lives in her uncle Qiu Shangqi’s house. Her mother Qiu Mingying tells her not to study at the school, and worries it will hurt her reputation. Just then her fifth aunt sends her the jewelry. Qiu Mingying heard there are some officers visiting the house, and asks fifth aunt about it. The fifth aunt claims she didn’t know it, and tells them that madam wanted to see them. Madam tells Feng Zhiwei about the marriage, but she doesn’t want to be Qiu Yuluo.
Qiu Shangqi invites Zhu Ying to play zither for Chang Hai. But Chang Hai claims he is just a warrior, and cannot understand the songs. So she jokes, he laughs. She picks a flower from the garden, the fifth aunt mocks at her since she comes from brothel. Zhu Ying says the fifth aunt is just a concubine, so the fifth aunt pushes over her. Feng Zhiwei shows up, and scolds her aunt with the status of princess, asking her to climb to tree to get the flower for Zhu Ying. Feng Zhiwei and Zhu Ying decide to be sisters.
The dead warrior is hung at the gate, Gu Yan is startled as there is a note inside the death’s mouth that betrayer is going to be killed. Ning Yi is curious why Xin Ziyan has Xue Futu’s darts. Xin Ziyan reveals the darts are made by his teacher Tian Jizi.
The Rise of Phoenixes Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 2
The Prince of Yan Ning Sheng gives a piece of gold to Ning Cheng, and thinks he will obey his order after being sent to prison for 8 years. The Prince of Zhao Ning Yan is jealous of Ning Yi for getting likes by the emperor. Xin Ziyan tells crown prince someone else is intention to use Xue Futu’s dart to make troubles. The crown prince asks his followers to investigate Xue Futu, and finds the Da Cheng Ninth Prince who is killed by crown prince. Ning Chuang suspects the case is related to Ning Yi.
Ning Yi invites Ning Chuang to have dinner at his house, Ning Chuan decides to attend. Feng Zhiwei’s brother Feng Hao takes her jewelry, she reminds him it’s the money she sold herself. But he claims he is the only male of the feng family. She loses her temper, and hits her brother. The hairpin drops from her pocket, and thinks it belongs to Zhu Ying.
She visits Zhu Ying’s house where Ning Yi is talking about something. She sees he taking the scissors, and asks him what he wants to do. He introduces himself as a tailor. She heard the girl’s talk, and knows he comes from the house of Prince of Chu. So she asks him about the Prince of Chu, he tells her the Prince likes to knit brocade, and his wish is to be a normal people. Zhu Ying takes him aside, and mentions the woman in the qiu family called her princess, and suspects she is Qiu Yuluo.
The fifth aunts complains to Madam Qiu that Feng Zhiwei bullied her, and thinks she will bully Madam Qiu as well in the future. Madam Qiu remembers she shamed Feng Zhiwei and her mother. Qiu Mingying claims she wouldn’t get her shamed if she didn’t have other place to go. Qiu Mingying thinks it’s a chance to marry her daughter to the Prince of Chu. Feng Zhiwei says that she will obey her order, if she wants her to marry him. She heard he is a poor prince, and doesn’t like other arrogant princes.
Ning Cheng investages Qiu Yuluo, and knows she is a bad Miss. Feng Zhiwei visits the Prince of Chu’s house, and runs into Ning Yi. He agrees her to let her see the prince, and blinds her eyes, taking her to the pavilion. She finds out that she is locked there, and thinks it’s a test. Ning Yi tells Ning Cheng not to let the fake Miss break his plan, and reveals Qiu Shangqi didn’t want to marry his daughter to him, so he used Feng Zhiwei to pretend to be her daughter. Ning Cheng teases him to marry the fake Miss.
Feng Zhiwei asks for help, but nobody answers her. She casts a stone to the lake, and knows the water isn’t too deep. So she jumps into the lake to flee. Ning Yi treats crown prince, and two of his brothers. He pretends there is an assassin in his house, and asks Ning Cheng to save Feng Zhiwei. She is startled, and he decides to see her. The fifth aunts warns Qiu Mingying with her son, and tells her to obey her orders.
