The Romance of Tiger and Rose begins with the scene that Zi Ying gets back from the bandits site, and his face is with blood. He tells Han Shuo that Qian Qian (Zhao Lusi) told him to dig the trap and get him and Chu Chu together. But she actually didn’t do that.

Han Shuo is furious and realizes that Qian Qian doesn’t like him at all so that she wants to give him to Chu Chu. Chu Chu catches the chance to bring ointment to him and treats the wound on his back. Qian Qian brings the ointment as well, but he rejects it and drives her away.

In rose city, Rose City Chief throws the banquet for Qian Qian. She feels great after knowing her daughter caught Meng Guo, and thinks Qian Qian is worth of being younger city chief. But the bodyguard reports that Qian Qian released Meng Guo again. Rose City Chief is furious to leave the banquet. The minister knows Su Mu is a musician and asks him to drink with her. Yuan Yuan gives the jade pendant to Su Mu, and tells people that he is her man so that nobody dares to bully him.

The Romance of Tiger and Rose arranges the last battle of catching Meng Guo. Han Shuo hints Qian Qian to get him to work with her. But Qian Qian chooses Zi Ying instead of him. Han Shuo is furious to leave with Chu Chu, but he reminds Zi Rui to burn fireworks if Qian Qian is in danger.

Meng Guo takes the bandits arriving, and Zi Rui finds out that the fireworks are soaked into water. Qian Qian is kidnapped to the bandits camp and she is scared to lift the huge blade to protect herself when she guesses that Meng Guo wants to force her to marry him. But he tells her that he wants her to be the master of the bandits site.

Qian Qian agrees to it and drinks with the bandits. She is drunk when Han Shuo comes. He apologizes to her for frightening her and hugs her. He takes her to the room. The next day, Qian Qian wakes up and knows that Han Shuo accepts the bandits. She asks Bai Ji about Han Shuo, and Bai Ji reminds his master that Qian Qian is looking for him.

Zi Ying glares at Han Shuo and Qian Qian. The Romance of Tiger and Rose makes us realize that he wants to help Chu Chu. Zi Rui brings the soup to Qian Qian. She is scared and tells him to watch Zi Ying. Zi Ying tells the man to put the love incense in the store, and gets Han Shuo and Chu Chu together in the room. But the man mistakes that what Zi Ying wants to take is Qian Qian and Han Shuo.

Zi Rui stuns Zi Ying with the stick and reports to Qian Qian that Zi Ying wants to hurt Han Shuo. She goes to him when Han Shuo smells the love incense. The man catches the chance to lock the two up. Han Shuo is close to Qian Qian. She is scared to tell him to hang in there. Zi Rui shows up but the door is locked. So he goes to see Bai Ji.

The man tells Zi Ying that Qian Qian came, and Zi Ying realizes that she suspects him. So he pretends to save her. But she knows his real face as his role is written by her. The Romance of Tiger and Rose ends with the scene of Zi Ying’s evil plan. Qian Qian tries to use Zi Ying to get Han Shuo and Chu Chu together. But she finds out that the role only makes her in danger.

Qian Qian released Meng Guo six times, and he becomes her faithful follower after the seven times. The Chinese drama surprises us that he wants her to be his master when we think he will sleep with her and Han Shuo will come to save her.

  1. Wow! I love reading drama recaps. As an international fan, I sometimes get skeptical with the translation and get lost especially when they start referencing cultural metaphors and the like. Through recaps I get the gist of the situation and understand the story better. I hope you can recap until the last episode. I’ll be waiting 😉
