Xia Lin takes care Chu Yan in the hospital. He wakes up and wants to touch her hair. But Ling Yizhou sees it. Chu Yan apologizes to Ling Yizhou, but Ling Yizhou says he knows the feeling of falling for a girl. Ling Yizhou tells Chu Yan the President Chu’s promise, Chu Yan thrills. Ling Yizhou tells Chu Yan that he did it because they’re best friend.
Chu Yan’s room is burnt. Ling Yizhou is shocked, and he never expects Chu Yan will die. He is sad and visits Xia Lin in the evening, and wants her to comfort him. She decides to get along with him, and forgets their past.
The police tell Ling Yizhou Chu took earrings before he died. Ling Yizhou gives the fake suspect to police because he knows the earrings belong to Xia Lin. He tells Xia Lin that she became the first suspect, and someone wants to wrong her.
Ling Yizhou receives the message, which hints him that Xia Lin murdered Chu Yan. Ling Yizhou and Xia Lin look into the lakeside, and finds out someone took photos of her and Chu Yan, and sent to police. Xia Lin is summoned to police station, and police suspects her because she doesn’t have an alibi.
Ling Yizhou visits Team Leader Wang and thinks someone tries to wrong Xia Lin. He offers to release on bail, and police let Ling Yizhou to take Xia Lin away. Ling Yizhou is attacked by reporters because of Xia Lin. She feels guilty.
Xia Lin and Ling Yizhou visit President Chu. President Chu blames Xia Lin for murdering his son. An Ran runs into Xia Lin at Chu Yan’s grave, and provokes her. She claims Chu Yan cut tie with his father because of her, but Xia Lin pretended not to know and sorts out the relationship after he died.
Ling Yizhou meets with Tong Tong and discloses that she wronged Xia Lin. Tong Tong denies and wants to report it to Xia Lin. He is scared. Xia Lin bursts into and blames Ling Yizhou for interrogating Tong Tong. Xia Lin isn’t stupid and suspected Tong Tong early. Because she pretended to be villager, but her hands didn’t look like doing farm work. Xia Lin didn’t know what Tong Tong wanted, so she kept her.
Xia Lin asks Tong Tong to tell her the truth otherwise she has to sent her to police station. Tong Tong admits that An Ran asked her to pretend to be sick and tricked Xia Lin to go out. So Xia Lin lost the alibi. Xia Lin still suspects what Tong Tong said. Ling Yizhou reveals he looked into An Ran, and she didn’t have time of crime. Xia Lin doesn’t suspect An Ran as well, because she is close to Chu Yan.
Ling Yizhou is attacked by people online. Xia Lin helps her husband with her weibo. But the turnover of company still drops. Wen Li tells Ling Yizhou that the shares drop because of the rumors. Ling Yizhou doesn’t care about it, but worries that his wife will be attacked.
Xia Lin and Jia Fei talk about Chu Yan’s case, and Ling Yizhou and Wen Yi walk in. Jia Fei is awkward because she kissed Wen Li when being drunk, so she decides to move out. Ling Yizhou decides to hold press conference and announces the news that he married Xia Lin. An Ran takes Tong Tong to play the video that Xia Lin flirted with Chu Yan in the bar, and hints that Xia Lin killed Chu Yan because she feared to get divorced. But Chu Yan appears at the press conference.

An Ran claims Xia Lin is the murderer who killed Chu Yan, and Ling Yizhou cannot explain it for Xia Lin. Chu Yan shows up and reveals that he and Xia Lin were framed, and being filmed. It was An Ran’s plan.
An Ran is anxious and tells Chu Yan that she didn’t hurt him, and asks him to trust her. But Chu Yan reveals he witnessed An Ran appearing at the hospital, and asked him not to blame her. The burnt body was stolen by An Ran from funeral parlour. She wasn’t intention to kill him, and stunned him with medicine and made him under house arrest. He got the chance to stun the guard, and ran away.

Chu Yan sees off Xia Lin, and runs into Tong Xiaoyou who waits outside. Chu Yan borrowed her motorcycle while fleeing, but she asks for $200,000.
Tong Xiaoyou asks Chu Yan to return the money to her, and he fights with her. She gives the take-out to him when he is hungry. Xia Lin doesn’t understand why Ling Yizhou knew Chu Yan didn’t die. He tells her that her words reminded him that An Ran wouldn’t hurt Chu Yan.
President Chu visits Chu Yan after knowing his son is still alive. Chu Yan is still in anger to his father, but he is tenderhearted when President Chu passes out. President Chu reveals he and his mother fell in love, and had Chu Yan. But she ran away when she knew that he was going to marry another woman. So he turned his love into hate, and released his pain to Chu Yan.
Ling Yizhou buys Xia Lin house in secret. She thinks he meddles her life and is furious. He chases the bus and hugs her away in front of people. Xia Lin makes new contract, Ling Yizhou signs it without taking a look. They get along again. Jia Fei knows Wen Yi is injured and cooks for him. But she almost burns the house. So they have to order take-out.
Ling Yizhou visits Xia Lin and asks her to give birth for him. Xia Lin is scared, but kisses with him in his company. He kicks out employees for staying with Xia Lin. Wen Li tells Xia Lin not to go to the company.
Xia Lin gets a role of dancer, so she practices dancing. Ling Yizhou gives the new earrings to Xia Lin. Xia Lin tries on the clothes and notices someone follows her. She finds out the woman is the one she met at the hospital, and finds out she is Ling Yizhou’s mother according to the family photo.
