The monster lord Bai Mu comes to inspect Picking Star Tower in Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Love In Pavilion episode 1. He asks the female monster to complete it within five days. The female monster decides to go to catch some humans.
The beauty Dongfang Huaizhu takes her sister Dongfang Qinlan to visit the town. They hold umbrellas because it’s raining. I notice the jade flute Huai Zhu carries. Huai Zhu worries that there will be a big monster waiting for them. But Qin Lan is confident because she knows Huai Zhu’s holy flame can repel the enemy.
Masked Man overhears the conversation. He holds a sword and he questions the two ladies’ goal. Huai Zhu and Qin Lan arrive at the hotel. Qin Lan is excited. She orders two bowels of rice noodles after she walked into the hotel with Huai Zhu.
The spider crawls on window when the hotel owner calls the waiter. The evil spirit bell rings because of the spider. Qin Lan notes it. She reports it to the hotel owner. The hotel owner reveals the people in the town were caught by the monsters. But she comforts the two that the hotel is safe.
The waiter brings the rice noodles to Huai Zhu. But she attacks him because she knows he’s a monster. The female monster appears. She summons a big spider. Qin Lan repels the spider. The female monster flees because she knows she’s not the two ladies’ rival.
Huai Zhu and Qin Lan chase the female monster out of the hotel. The female monster turns the hotel owner into a zombie. Huai Zhu suppresses the female monster with her jade flute. The zombie catches Qin Lan. He asks Huai Zhu to give up her flute. The female monster attacks Huai Zhu from her back. Huai Zhu passes out. She’s saved by someone before the female monster kills her. The female monster senses the sword power. She flees.
Huai Zhu wakes up in the grass. Master Man calls her. It seems that he was the one who saved her. He has his back to her. She sees his mask and sword. She guesses he’s the Mr. Sword. He turns around and I find out that his mask is very cute.
He explains it to her why he took her to the place. But she’s cold to ask him to have his back to her. He cuts her hair and he flees. She chases him and she stops him in the air. She learns that he’s going to deal with the big monster. She volunteers to help him because she knows where the big monster stays. He agrees to her plan. But he speaks out three conditions.
Qin Lan is sent to the prison. She yells when she’s in the cell. She thinks she’s a pretty girl and she blames those people who kidnapped her. But nobody replies to her. She receives a signal from her sister. Huai Zhu takes Masked Man to the overhead of Picking Star Tower.
She reminds him that there’s a poison barrier down there. He breaks the barrier with just one hit. She’s shocked and she thinks he’s a big role. But he’s very modest. They break into the cave prison. Qin Lan is excited to wave at Huai Zhu after she saw her.
The three try to leave the cave. But they’re stopped by the people of Nangong Clan. They want to deal with Masked Man and his friends after knowing they belong to Mask Group. Masked Man’s brothers appear. They give the people of Nangong Clan a lesson.
The female monster Spider Girl tries to flee. But she’s hurt by Masked Man. He asks her to take him to see her master. She promises it because she knows he will be killed. Huai Zhu joins him. She makes an excuse that she shouldn’t stay away from him.
Bai Mu takes the lady Du Niangzi to see Picking Star Tower. He believes that she will marry him. The tower is like her home. She’s stunned. She runs into the tower and she remembers Nangong Chui took his followers to kill her family.
Bai Mu holds Du Niangzi’s hand for comforting her. She cries when she blames Nangong Clan for killing her family. He wipes off her tears and he shows her the bone bells. She learns that he killed many people of Nangong Clan. She worries about the disaster.
Masked Man appears with Huai Zhu. Du Niangzi is furious to fight the two because they broke into her house. She’s not Huai Zhu’s rival. She’s defeated. Bai Mu catches the knife before it hurts his lover. He throws away the knife and he opens his barrier.
His barrier is powerful. But Huai Zhu’s strength can strain the power. Masked Man uses Huai Zhu’s hair to attack Bai Mu. The big monster is hurt. Qin Lan saves the people from the prison. She asks them to remember her and her sister. Masked Man’s brother cannot stand it because the job was done by them.

Masked Man tells Bai Mu that Nangong Clan is going to attack Du Niangzi’s hometown Nanchui. He asks him to sacrifice himself for saving the lives. But Poison King appears. Huai Zhu and Masked Man flee from the tower. Poison King casts the poison palm to Huai Zhu. Masked Man blocks the attack with his sword. But his sword is broken. His two brothers come to aid him. Masked Man deals with Poison King alone. He asks his two brothers to take away Huai Zhu.
