Lord of Mysteries episode 1 introduces the God of Pathways. The church bells ring out. The whole city is stained red with blood. It’s the doomsday of Tingen. An evil God is born from the woman Megose’s body in the church. Klein Moretti fights Evil God in the air. But his body is pierced. He falls to the floor. The spells scatter all over the floor. Klein takes a look at Evil God. Evil God is insane. He shoots out a beam of light. The whole city is ruined by the light.
An airplane flies across the sky. Zhou Mingrui falls from the sky in Lord of Mysteries. Some transparent worms get into his brain. He feels painful. A velvet curtain appears. He reaches the curtain and his body begins to twist. He turns into some transparent worms. He gets into Klein’s body. He wakes up as Klein in the room. Zhong Mingrui is startled to step back after he saw the blood handprint and a revolver. He feels a headache. His wound on his head begins to recover. He remembers Antigonus Family’s Notebook and the death of Klein’s classmate Welch McGovern.
Zhou Mingrui Knows He Transmigrated
Someone pats Zhou Mingrui on his back. Zhong Mingrui is terrified to turn around. But he sees nobody. He looks at himself in the mirror in Lord of Mysteries. He sees a strange guy. He realizes that he transmigrated. Dunn Smith leads the Nighthawks into Welch’s house. Leonard Mitchell reports to the captain that the dead are Welch and Naya. They graduated from Khoy University History Department. Dunn takes the group photo of Klein and the two students. Leonard makes a judgement that it’s a suicide. But he reveals there was a black divination. Dunn pays attention to the guy in the photo. Leonard introduces Klein to Dunn. He reports to the captain that the guy is living with his brother and his sister.
Zhou Mingrui reads Klein’s notebook. He sees the words Klein left. Klein says that everyone will die. Melissa Moretti opens the door. Zhou Mingrui conceals the notebook. But he doesn’t have time to conceal the revolver. She thinks he was reading the book. But she wonders what he’s doing when he stands next to the desk. He explains it to her that he’s cleaning. She thinks he’s weird. But she hears the sound of the revolver falling. She turns around suddenly. She asks her brother what happened.
Melissa Fixes The Pocket Watch for Zhou Mingrui
Klein takes out the pocket watch. He shyly tells Melissa that the pocket watch is broken again. She fixes the pocket watch and she returns it to him. She leaves his room. He checks his wound and he finds out that it recovers. He thinks it’s the bonus of his transmigrating. Zhou Mingrui takes a look at the bullet. He wonders if Klein faked his own suicide. He believes that Klein’s death is related to Antigonus Family’s Notebook. He thinks about his transmigrating. He remembers he did a good luck ritual before dinner.
Melissa calls Klein. She brings him back to reality. She carries the bread and she persuades him to go to sleep. He comforts her that he’s fine. She hands over the bread to him. She asks him to go to buy eight pounds of bread, lamb and peas. She smiles at him. She promises him that she will cook lamb and peas for him. He says goodbye to her when she orders him to wait for her. But he knows he won’t be there when she comes home. He’s surprised that she didn’t notice the gunshot of the revolver.
Zhou Mingrui Accepts His New Identity Klein Moretti
Klein takes the revolver. He plans to go home because he knows the place is very dangerous. He tastes the bread. He feels painful because the bread is so hard. He visits Wendy Smyrin’s bakery. He tries to buy eight pounds of bread. Someone watches him from outside. Smyrin persuades Klein to have a personal washroom. He flatters her and he leaves her bakery with the bread. Klein walks on the street. He takes a look at the sun. He thinks the place is like the Earth.
Klein tries to leave. But he sees some people playing “Fight the Landlord”. He remembers the card game was invented by Roselle Gustav. He takes a look at Roselle’s statue in the central square. He thinks the emperor is his fellow countryman. A copper coin falls on the ground. Klein tries to pick the copper coin. But he sees a shadow suddenly. He takes his revolver immediately. He sees a clown who smiles at him when he tries to hand over the flyer to him. The clown invites Klein to come to the circus to watch the show.
But Klein sees some people tailing him. He runs into a tent. The fortune teller is waiting for him. She controls the crystal ball. She asks him to accept the guidance. Regence tries to approach the tent. But he sees Leonard. He has to leave. The fortune teller spreads out the tarot cards. She tells Klein that the tarot can help him. She reveals the divination will be free. He has a seat. She’s going to begin the divination. But he stops her because he suspects the reading won’t be free.
Klein Chooses The Card “The Fool”
The fortune teller hesitates for a moment. She has to tell Klein that it’s free as well. He reveals he wants to divine his past, present and future. She takes out three cards. He chooses his present. She shows the card “The Fool”. He remembers The Fool is the zero card of tarot. It contains all possibilities. The real fortune teller breaks into the tent. She blames the animal trainer for pretending to be her. She asks her to go to take care of her monkeys. Klein leaves the tent before Leonard walks into the tent.
Klein returns home. He uses his food to perform a ritual. He calls the name of Celestial Worthy of Heaven and Earth. But nothing happens after the ritual. He’s surprised. He has a splitting headache and he falls to the ground. The ruby cracks. Some red beams break through the roof. Klein is above the gray fog after he woke up. Some strange light balls surround him. He wonders where he is. The light balls begin to work. Audrey Hall orders the Magic Mirror to wake up in the room. Alger Wilson is on his ghost ship on a stormy sea. He holds a magic glass. The ice cubes gather in the glass.
Klein Summons Alger And Audrey
Alger and Audrey are summoned to the space above the gray fog. They see a huge figure. Audrey asks Klein where it is. Klein sees Alger and Audrey. He learns that he summoned the two. Audrey asks Klein if he’s the master of the God Realm. He thinks the place isn’t God Realm because there’s no shrine. The shrine appears. He realizes that he’s the master of the gray fog. He summons a long table for testing it. Alger questions Klein who he is. Klein figures his identity out. He walks to the chief seat. He has a seat.
Klein tells the two to call him “The Fool”. He reveals he just did an attempt. Audrey wonders if Klein’s attempt ends because she wants to go home. He promises to let her go home. But she’s excited to ask him how she can become a Beyonder. He doesn’t know the answer. He figures it out that Alger knows the answer. So he reveals Alger can answer her the question. Alger suggests that Audrey should join Church of the Evernight Goddess. But she doesn’t want to lose her freedom. He reveals he has two doses of Sequence Nine Potions. They’re Spectator potion and Sailor potion.
Klein wonders if the gray fog belongs to Beyonder powers. Audrey makes a deal with Alger. She asks Klein to be their witness. He agrees to it. She catches the chance to ask for more gatherings. Alger persuades Klein that he and Audrey can do something for him in the future. Klein knows he will have hope to go home if he meets the two more times. He agrees to the plan. Audrey nods. She thinks they should have titles because they cannot communicate with their real names.
Klein Is Suspected of Killing Welch And Naya
Someone knocks at the door of Klein’s room. Klein feels a headache suddenly. Audrey decides to use the title “Justice”. Alger uses the title “Hangman”. Klein ends the meeting because he cannot hang in there. He returns to the real world. The cop knocks at the door. Klein conceals the notebook and the revolver. He takes a look at the cop from the door hole. He learns that the cop is a supervisor. He opens the door and he explains it to the cop Leonard that he was sleeping.
Klein recognizes Leonard. He knows the cop was the one who tailed him. But Leonard takes off his hat. He claims that he was protecting Klein. He walks into Klein’s room without invitation. Dunn explains it to Klein that they just want to ask him some questions. He uses his nightmare skill on the guy. Klein is told that his classmates Welch and Naya committed suicide. Leonard finds Klein’s notebook. He asks the guy to explain why he thinks everyone will die.
Klein sits on his bed. He claims that he forgets it. Dunn mentions Klein visited Welch. Klein reveals he knew it in the notebook’s help. Dunn brings up that Welch lost a revolver. He thinks he can find it in Klein’s room. Klein confesses that he hid the revolver in the furnace. He reveals he survived from a suicide. Dunn believes Klein’s words. But Klein needs to be interrogated by the Spirit Medium. Leonard is happy with Klein’s survival. He puts the notebook on the table.
Klein Fails to Escape
Klein walks out of his house with Dunn. He stops because he worries that the Nighthawks will find out that he’s a transmigrator. A little boy steals a bread. The bakery owner chases the little boy. Dunn catches the little boy for the bakery owner. The horse is startled when the little boy fights the bakery owner. Klein catches the chance to flee to the alley. He walks out of the alley. Someone throws water at him from upstairs. But the water is stopped. Klein realizes that there’s a Beyonder. He flees into a carriage. He asks the driver to take him to the pier outside the city.

Klein asks the driver to stop the carriage. But driver takes Klein to the Welch’s house. His cap is off when he drives the carriage. We find out that he’s Dunn. Klein wakes up in his room. He learns that it was a dream. The door opens. Dunn walks into the room. He introduces himself as a Nighthawk to Klein. Klein realizes that Dunn is a Beyonder. Dunn claims that he’s very powerful in the dark. The house begins to collapse. Daly Simone covers Klein’s mouth from his back. She asks him not to be nervous.
Klein Passes Daly’s Test
Klein is taken to a space. He sees his parents. He’s very happy and he tries to run to his parents. But Daly whispers Klein in his ear that she’s in his mind sea. He figures it out that she doesn’t know his secret. She catches him and she asks him what he was doing when his classmates died. He takes out his revolver. He kills himself.

Klein wakes up. He learns that he passed Daly’s test. Daly reports to Dunn that Klein tried to kill himself. But she didn’t find any trace from the guy’s memories. She thinks the power that affected Klein was very powerful. She asks Dunn to be careful. He nods. He reminds Klein that he’s in danger because Antigonus Family’s Notebook is missing. He asks him if he wants to be a Beyonder.
