Azik Eggers is the son of Death God in Lord of Mysteries. He was the death magistrate of Balam Empire in Fourth Epoch. He was very cold-blooded and cruel when he was the emperor of Balam Empire. He wasn’t emotional at all. In the period of the fight of the four emperors, he took part in the fight. But he was only Sequence Two. He wasn’t the rival of the Sequence Zero True Gods. He passed out after Blood Emperor took a look at him. In the Pale Age, Death God used River of Eternal Darkness to contain the uniqueness of Red Priest.
Although Death God went crazy after he digested the uniqueness for a hundred years, he reached the level of half Great Old One in Lord of Mysteries. He united with Primordial Demoness. They brought a pale calamity to Northern Continent. Azik was a representative of Death God Camp. He fought with the ageless demoness Katarina Pelle. But the crazy Death God fell after the Seven Gods attacked him. But Death God had a premonition early. He treated his son Azik as the plan B of his resurrection.
Azik Keeps Resurrecting
He split Azik’s soul and he took away half of it. Azik had to die and resurrect again and again because his soul was incomplete in Lord of Mysteries. He would lose his previous memory each time he resurrected. Because the other half of his soul called him. He would find his memory back gradually. But the death was close to him. He didn’t have anytime to explore.
Azik became a knight of Loen Kingdom after he resurrected. He became the first Lamud Baron. He had a land on his own and he married the noble lady he loved. But it didn’t work. It was just a little interlude of his countless rebirths.
Azik Encounters Klein
Azik doesn’t know his history. He encounters Klein Moretti who just transmigrated. He asks the guy to help him look for his memories. He decides to go to Backlund to look for the memories he lost. He gives a copper whistle that can summon his messenger to Klein. The death magistrate becomes the babysitter of Klein since then. He receives a letter from Klein. He kills Qilangos who comes to bring trouble. He gets the Beyonder item Creeping Hunger. He saves Klein when 0-08 arranges the falling meteorite.
Azik Finds The Other Half of His Soul
Klein doesn’t let Azik down. He finds many clues about Azik’s memories. He fails to strike the Vice Admiral of Ailment Tracy. He takes Azik to go to look for the ancient documents that are related to Death God. Azik runs into ageless demoness Katarina. He knows it from the friend that he was the emperor of Balam Empire. It promotes him to worry about it. Because he just wants to find himself. But he fears himself who gets his memories back. He knows he will turn into the evil who is like demoness.

Azik isn’t the cold-blooded emperor anymore. He’s a gentle and reliable middle-aged man. He and Klein go to Berserk Sea: the falling place of Death God. He sees a Feathered Serpent who can cover the whole island in the ruin. Azik and Feathered Serpent have the same face. The sudden memories promote Azik to remember everything. He feels the calls and desires from the other half of his soul. Feathered Serpent wants to become one with Azik. But Azik thinks the idea is terrible.
Evernight Goddess Gives Azik Three Choices
Azik knows Feathered Serpent is crazy. He worries that he will be death magistrate again if he becomes one with the monster. He will be a fake Death God who doesn’t have any human nature. He will forget everyone he cherished. Evernight Goddess saves Azik when he tries his best to resist. She gives him three choices.
1. Azik walks forward for looking for the completeness. Letting Salinger be reborn in his body.
2. Evernight Goddess helps Azik extract the other half of the soul. She lets him to take it away. He needs to find a way to suture. But the lives he experienced will degenerate into dream.
3. He gives up everything and he leaves. He will remain in the current sequence and he cannot advance. He has to look for his past in the reincarnation.
Azik smiles. He chooses the third choice. He doesn’t want to forget the beauty and the humanity that the reincarnation brought to him. He’s not alone anymore. Klein will accompany him.
