Tom and the Task team look for the little boy Sam in the forest in Task episode 2. Cliff takes Robbie into a room. Robbie carries the sleeping Sam to the bed. The next day, Jayson is sleeping with his wife Eryn in the bed. He gets a call from someone. He’s told that Warren, Derek and Joanne were killed last night. He tells it to Eryn. She feels regret. He brings up that Sam is missing. She asks him if he knows who did it. He thinks it’s same crew. Cliff and Robbie are in the room. Sam is still sleeping. Cliff and Robbie notice the sound downstairs. Robbie asks Cliff to stay in the room.

Maeve is preparing the lunch box for the kid Wyatt. She reminds him that they shouldn’t miss the bus. Robbie shows up. He says good morning to Maeve. But she wonders why he’s still at home. He explains it to her that he called out of work. She reveals his daughter Harper needs 25 dollars. There will be a father-daughter dance at the school. The school will provide pizzas. Harper doesn’t want her father to pay it. So she expresses that they don’t have to go. But Robbie insists on attending the dance.
Tom and his team are at the scene of the crime. He asks Aleah and Lizzie to drive around the neighborhood and see if any door cams got anything. He orders the agent Grasso to go talk to Kenny’s fiancee. Aleah wonders if they need to return to the place after she and Lizzie complete the job. Tom denies it. He thinks the place is too chaotic. He asks her to go to the base camp. He orders Lizzie to assign an analyst to vet the tips.
Robbie glances out the window. Cliff asks his friend if he received anything. Robbie reveals Eryn didn’t reply to him. Cliff gets angry after knowing the bad news. He thinks the kids shouldn’t stay in the house. Robbie tries to calm Cliff down. Cliff says that he keeps seeing the people’s faces and the blood. Robbie hugs Cliff for comforting the guy. He asks him how long they have been friends. He reminds him that he can always find a way out of things. But Cliff points out that it was their first time to do it. He mentions he and Robbie killed those people. They got Peaches killed. Cliff thinks they have no reason. Robbie offers to make a reason.
Robbie and Cliff are outside. Robbie opens the trunk of his car. He opens the bag in the trunk then. He and Cliff see the drugs. Cliff tries to touch the drugs for finding the cash. But Robbie stops Cliff. He thinks the stuff is fentanyl. Sam shows up. He tells Robbie that he’s hungry. Cliff wonders what they will deal with the kid. He reminds Robbie that the kid saw their faces and he got into his house. Robbie asks Cliff to go to buy some test strips. He thinks they should sell the drugs if they confirm that it’s pure.
Robbie returns to the house. He learns that Sam likes pancakes. So he cooks pancakes for him. Sam sees the chickens outside. He wants to touch them. Robbie points at the black chicken. He tells Sam that the chicken is Gertie. Gertie is nice. So she will allow Sam to touch her. Sam wishes to talk to deer. He reveals he will tell them not to cross the street. He mentions a lot of deer died when they tried to cross the street.
Sam asks Robbie how long he has to stay there. Robbie comforts the kid that it won’t be too long. He tells a lie to him that his parents wished him to stay for a few days. He mentions what his parents said that someone is sick. Sam figures it out that it’s his grandmother. Robbie tells the kid that his parents got a call late at night. They were told that Sam’s grandmother was feeling sick. Sam wonders how Robbie knows his parents. Robbie reveals his brother worked with Sam’s father ever. Sam chooses fluffy pancakes.
Jayson’s friends visit Jayson. Jayson is told that the kid is dead. He gets angry. He orders to call an emergency church meeting. Tom and Grasso visit Kenny’s fiancee Kaylee and her father David. Tom knows the police questioned Kaylee already. But he wants to know who Kenny went out with last night. The girl claims that she hasn’t met any of Kenny’s friends. They met online. She just moved there from Ohio a few weeks ago. Tom reveals Kenny was killed during a home invasion. It appears as though he was involved with the incident.
David learns that the fiance of his daughter is a robber. He mentions he told Kaylee that the guy isn’t good. Kaylee isn’t happy with his father’s words. She reminds her father that she just lost her soul mate. She cries. Grasso tells the girl that several other people were killed in the house. The six-year-old boy is missing. She learns that he’s suspecting her fiance. She expresses that she doesn’t like him and Tom. Tom asks the girl to help them find the little boy. But she refuses to cooperate. David asks the two agents to leave his house.
Robbie catches the black chicken. He lets Sam touch the chicken. The little boy wonders if chickens have dreams. Robbie doesn’t know the answer because he never thought about that. Sam guesses the chickens wish to get big farms. Robbie agrees with what Sam said. He receives a message from Cliff. He’s told that the drug is good. Tom and Grasso leave David’s house. Tom is driving. He looks for his glasses. Because he cannot read the message without his glasses. Grasso volunteers to read the message for his boss. Tom is told that his daughter Sara’s flight delayed because of the heavy rain. He reveals his daughter is going to come from Chicago this afternoon.
Grasso thinks it’s a good news. He thinks Tom is going to be reunited with his daughter. He wonders how long Tom has been with the FBI. Tom reveals he became FBI since 2003. But she was assisting the Bureau for many years before that as a chaplain. Grasso thinks Tom is kidding. But Tom tells the agent that he didn’t tell a lie. Grasso asks Tom to help him figure it out that how a priest becomes a FBI. Tom reveals he was a volunteer on the FBI’s crisis intervention team. The FBI needed clergy when they went to mass casualty events. Tom met his supervisor Kathleen. He left priesthood and he married his wife. His wife pulled some strings and got him into Quantico.
Grasso wonders what Tom did when he was at the mass casualty events. She guesses the guy sprinkled some holy water. Tom mentions people want to know why God let it happen when things go terribly wrong. He went to comfort those guys. Grasso brings up that he grew up Catholic. His mother had three jobs and she never took a shift on Sunday. Because she needed to go to church. She dragged Grasso and his sister to Immaculate Heart for the mass. Grasso doesn’t understand why God doesn’t allow them to eat meat on Friday. He guesses the Catholic church colluded with Papa John. Tom offers to let the Bureau look into it for them. But Grasso rejects it. Because he wants to enjoy a slice of pepperoni without the threat of eternal damnation.
Emily goes to see her friend. She reveals she doesn’t wish her brother to get released. Tom returns to his office. He asks Grasso to inform everyone that they need to attend the statue meeting. Grasso walks into Aleah’s room. He informs her that the boss wants a statue update. He goes to see Lizzie when the girl is singing in her room. She’s told about the meeting.
Grasso, Aleah and Lizzie are in the meeting room. Tom asks Lizzie to say something. The girl reveals the analysts tagged 12 Ring cams that show cars within one mile radius of Nance’s house. Lizzie and Aleah are working with Marcus Hook PD. They’re going to look into it. Tom thinks Lizzie’s report is good. So he asks Aleah if she got any good news about the kid. She denies it. She reveals the kid had been living in his grandmother’s house since March. Tom asks the agent about the welfare reports. Aleah reports to her boss that Sam’s parents didn’t take care of the kid well. Grasso wonders how the kid ended up back with his parents. Aleah says that the grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and admitted to a memory care facility. CYS returned Sam after his parents passed the drug test.
Lizzie doesn’t understand why the kid was taken away. Tom believes that they will find the kid once they find the kidnappers. He believes that those guys targeted the Dark Hearts. He lets Grasso say something. Grasso reveals Jayson built a strong group. He believes that there was an informant providing information for the robbers. Tom asks Lizzie to call Central. He wants to see Joe Easley. Joe is a walking encyclopedia of all things East Coast bikers. Lizzie leaves the meeting room. Grasso believes that the Dark Hearts know how to find the mole.
Perry rides his motorcycle to Jayson’s house. Eryn sees Perry. She tells it to her husband. Perry and Jayson have a meeting outside. Perry complains it to Jayson that Mother Club let everyone know the kid. He reminds him that others have lost their faith in his leadership. But Jayson doesn’t care for it. Perry mentions he helped Jayson. But he needs to resolve the problem for him. Jayson asks his boss to give him some time. Perry holds Jayson’s head. He mentions those people kidnapped the kid after they killed their men. He scolds him.
Jayson reveals those people took the drugs. He knows they will sell it. Perry thinks the only one who can buy the shipment is Freddy. But he knows the guy won’t help them for free. Jayson agrees with what Perry said. He thinks it’s worth it. Perry decides to contact Freddy. Jayson brings up that those guys set up Task force. They’re collecting the information. Perry wonders who’s in charge. He’s told that the guy is a field agent Tom. Jayson thinks the rookie won’t make it.
Grasso knocks at the door when Tom is eating in his room. He informs his boss that Joe came. Tom thinks it’s a good news. He meets Joe. Joe thinks Tom is right that the informant worked with the crew. Tom wonders why the gang member betrayed the gang. Joe reveals he worked a joint Task with Mercer County last November. They arrested a small timer on a distro. They offered him a proffer deal. They guy confessed that Wilkes invited a gang member to the Elks Lodge under the guise of a gathering. But Wilkes beat the gang member for hours after the gang member arrived. Tom wonders if Joe knows the name of the gang member. Joe leaks that the gang member’s first name is Billy. He decides to ask the guy at Mercer and get the last name. He remembers Billy’s daughter thought Jayson killed her father when he told her that her father is missing.
Maeve goes to see her friend. She reveals Robbie beat the guy when the guy tried to kiss her. Robbie wakes up in his house. Sam goes to touch the black kitchen after Robbie allowed him to do that. Robbie receives a message from someone who asks for a meeting up at the bar. I guess the person is Eryn. Maeve returns home with the kids. Robbie asks his son about the school. Wyatt reveals there’s a boy having feelings for Harper. Harper is furious to deny it. Wyatt brings up that Max thought Harper is the prettiest girl in school. But Maeve thinks Harper can do better than Max. But Wyatt leaks that he saw his sister kissing in a tree. Harper sees a boy. She asks her father about it. Robbie reveals the kid is a friend of mine. Maeve is told that she needs to take care of the kid. She’s not happy with it. Robbie lets his children have fun with Sam.
Tom get a call from the crystal baller. The lady tells the agent that the boy Sam is in the woods. But he doesn’t believe her. He calls Lizzie. But she doesn’t hear it. So Grasso hits the ceiling with a stick. He guesses the girl is listening to the music. The girl responds in the end. Tom asks Lizzie if she assigned an analyst to vet the tipline. Because he got four calls from the same psychic. Tom asks Lizzie to make sure that only vetted tips come through to them. Aleah shows up. She reveals there’s a mouse in the bathroom. Tom brings a good news to her that she will be in charge of the tipline. He asks her to contact him if she finds anything promising. He leaves the house because he got a family thing.
Maeve gives the clothes to Sam. He brings up that his mother gave him a toy after he finished the reading. She cannot promise him because he needs to ask his mother about it. He asks her to call his mother and ask her about it. He reveals his mother’s name is Joanne. She realizes that his father is Deric Nance. Sam wonders if Maeve knows his parents like Robbie. She admits it. She allows the kid to go play.
Perry and Jayson go to the bar. Perry reveals Freddy agreed to meet them tomorrow. Freddy didn’t hear someone wants to sell the drugs. Perry wonders who from their side knows the drugs didn’t travel last night. Jayson leaks that the people are Breaker and Shane. Perry asks Jayson to let the rest of the club think that they’re not looking for the drugs anymore. So the people will expose themselves. Perry runs into Donna. He wants to ask her out. But she claims that she needs to clean her bathroom.
Tom takes Sara home. Emily is very happy when she sees Sara. She hugs her baby. Robbie and Cliff go to the bar. They wait for Eryn. But the woman sends a message to Robbie. She informs him that she won’t come. Robbie and Cliff leave the bar.
Tom has a family meeting. His friend Matt brings up that Ethan will receive a reduced sentence if someone in the family gives a statement. Emily volunteers to give a statement for helping her brother. But Sara goes against it because Ethan killed her mother. She doesn’t wish the guy to come home. Emily has a fight with Sara because she cares for her brother. She’s furious to leave the meeting. Sara wishes Tom to say something. But he cannot make the decision. He was told to forgive when he was a priest. But he cannot do it when the thing happens to him. His attitude is obvious. He doesn’t want to forgive his son because he killed his wife. But he still goes to comfort Emily. He knows she has to do it as a sister.
Maeve sneaks into Sam’s room. She wakes the kid up. She tells him that she’s going to take him to buy the present for finishing book club. Grasso meets Lizzie in her room. He brings up that he was a DJ. She laughs when he talks about his work. Maeve takes Sam to the store. She asks him to go to the store to pick the toy he likes. He enters the store. She leaves and she goes to her office. She takes out a cell phone from the locker. She calls the police. She reports to her that she found the kid they’re looking for. Aleah receives the message soon. She reports it to Tom when he’s driving.
Maeve completes her job. She gets in the car. She thinks she resolved the problem. She sees the police car and the police who run into the store. But she finds out that Sam is behind her. She wonders why he’s there. He reveals he was scared when she wasn’t there. She lets him hide in the car. Aleah, Grasso and Lizzie arrive at the store. They begin to work.
Robbie returns home. He finds out that the kid is missing. He asks her daughter about it. Maeve is going to take Sam to flee. But she notices that the cop is checking the cars. She knows that they’re looking for the kid. So she confesses it to him that she saw the kid. Tom shows up soon. He’s told that Maeve saw the kid at her store. He goes to the store with her. He asks her to identity Sam from the kids. She identities a wrong kid. It promotes him to think that it’s a bum tip. He asks the agents to release her and the kids.

Someone walks into the bar. He reports to Jayson that the police confirmed the body of the crew. Jason is told that the dead is Kenny. He and Perry take action. They break into David’s house. They beat David. Tom drives his car to look for Emily on the street in the evening. Sara calls him. She wants to talk with him about Emily’s statement. But he refuses to talk about it. He finds Emily on the bench in a park. He takes her home. Maeve returns home when she carries the sleeping Sam. Robbie is waiting for her after the kid went missing. She scolds him because she thinks he got them involved.
