Xiao Bangchui and her master Mr. Wu go to the family to catch the monster in The Eternal Fragrance episode 1. She tells him that the monster is very big. The guy asks Mr. Wu to save the lives of his family. Mr. Wu helps the guy up. He says that he will try his best.
Mr. Wu tries to cast a spell. Xiao Bangchui stops him. She reminds him that he needs a Millennium Reishi Mushroom if he does so. The guy gives Mr. Wu the money for the Reishi Mushroom immediately. Mr. Wu casts a spell. The monster shows up. He asks Xiao Bangchui to go to do the job. He thinks the one shouldn’t be him.
Xiao Bangchui flies away with an umbrella. She passes by the Ancestral Hall. She tries to approach the Ancestral Hall. But she’s blocked by the barrier. She tries to break the barrier. But a guy breaks out of the Ancestral Hall. He carries a sword and he attacks Xiao Bangchui. The guy’s name is Lei Xiuyuan. He finds out that he mistook her for Long Mingzuo.
He tries to kill her. But she thinks they should have a talk no matter he’s a monster or a human. She offers to change a place. The immortal shows up. Xiao Bangchui tells the immortal that the monster he wants to catch is there. The immortal and his partner attack Lei Xiuyuan and Xiao Bangchui. Mr. Wu saves Lei Xiuyuan and Xiao Bangchui before they’re killed. But he’s discovered by his junior.
Xiao Bangchui returns to Blue Hill. She finds her master. She blames him for fleeing when there’s a problem. She thinks a master shouldn’t be like that. He flatters her that she’s very smart. She can resolve everything. He throws a present to her. He bought her it. But she blames him for spending sliver. She mentions they managed to earn the money. But he asks her to open it first.
She opens the present. She sees the clothes. She asks him if he’s the master who didn’t buy her a candy. He tells her that he will return it if she doesn’t like it. She tries to get changed. But he suggests that she should do it in her bedroom. He thinks it’s not her fault. He takes the blame. He has treated her as her senior. She complains it to him that she didn’t see the senior he mentions. She thinks he makes up the story. He tells her that her senior is smarter than her.
He had nothing to teach him so that the guy got into Phoenix Academy on his own. Xiao Bangchui tries to go to get changed. But Mr. Wu asks her to stew radishes. She’s surprised that he didn’t buy meat when he had money. She thinks he’s too stingy. He asks her to add a little more salt.

He tells her that he has to leave because he has an important business. He cannot take her. He asks her to go to Phoenix Academy to look for her senior. She takes a look at the drawing of her senior. She finds out that her master left all silver to her. She throws away the silver. She goes to look for her master.
She jumps off the bridge. She wishes her master will come to save her. But the guy doesn’t show up. She has to grab a vine. Her hand is hurt by the vine. She realizes that the old man wouldn’t come to save her. Because he’s afraid of death. She realizes that he should have kept some silver if he’s afraid of death. She guesses he encountered the major disaster that is related to his life. He thought he wouldn’t be alive. So he abandoned her.
The vine is broken. Xiao Bangchui falls on the big fox. She’s the Nine-Tailed Fox Sun Flame. Xiao Bangchui is scared when Sun Flame approaches her. But she finds out that her leg is hurt. Xiao Bangchui tries to touch the fox. But the fox disappears. Three immortals, Dong Yang, Zhen Yunzi and Long Jing show up. Zhen Yunzi questions why there’s an ordinary person in Blue Hill. Long Jing asks Xiao Bangchui why she’s alone in the woods.
Zhen Yunzi notices the blood on the ground. He asks Xiao Bangchui whose blood is this? She shows him her wounded hand. She says that it’s her blood. But he grabs her hand. He asks her what she saw. She feels cold. She figures it out that he’s casting a spell on her. Dong Yang stops Zhen Yunzi. He tells him that the girl is just an ordinary person. He asks Xiao Bangchui why she got in the mountain alone. She explains it to him that she and her master lived in the mountain. But her master disappears.
She tells Zhen Yunzi that her master is Wu Gen. Dong Yang thinks Xiao Bangchui is a good girl. Long Jing asks Xiao Bangchui if she saw a fox. Xiao Bangchui tricks Long Jing to go to chase the fox. But she’s caught by Zhen Yunzi. Dong Yang saves Xiao Bangchui before she’s killed by Zhen Yunzi. He reminds Zhen Yunzi that he was hurt by the fox. He will die if he doesn’t heal himself. Dong Yang tries to leave. But Xiao Bangchui asks him to take her to Phoenix Academy.
In the woods, Lei Xiuyuan and Lu Shanhua are surrounded. The captain tells Lei Xiuyuan and Lu Shanhua that they cannot flee. Lei Xiuyuan asks the captain why Long Mingzuo doesn’t forgive them since Gao Lu has fallen for many years. The captain mentions the traitor had hidden in the palace. He asks Lei Xiuyuan where the traitor hides. Lei Xiuyuan doesn’t know what the captain is saying. The captain thinks Lei Xiuyuan will know it after he arrives at Long Mingzuo.
Lei Xiuyuan fights the captain. He takes Lu Shanhua to flee. They’re hurt by the captain. Zhen Yunzi shows up. He saves the two. The captain asks Zhen Yunzi if he wants to interfere. Zhen Yunzi kills the captain and the killers.
At Zhen Yunzi’s house, Zhen Yunzi heals Lu Shanhua. He tells Lei Xiuyuan that ordinary medicine doesn’t work. Lei Xiuyuan asks Zhen Yunzi to save his brother. Xiao Bangchui tries to take the badge. But Mr. Zhu refuses to give it to her. He wants to listen to what the student says for fairness. Lei Xiuyuan tells the three judges that he lives in Valley Village. He shows them the names of 161 people in Valley Village. His family and his neighbors were killed by monsters that night. The girl Baili Gelin blames the bodyguard for bullying Xiao Bangchui. She asks him to apologize. But he says that Ying King and Princess Lanya arrived. He asks her to get lost.
Baili Gelin provokes Lan Ya. Lan Ya is furious to whip Baili Gelin. Ye Ye guards Baili Gelin. Lan Ya asks the bodyguards to arrest Ye Ye. But Ying King, Ji Tongzhou stops the bodyguards.
