Ling Fei thinks Zi Chen reported her. Zi Chen confesses to Ling Xiao that he released Yan Hui. He blames Ling Fei for using the starry formation to hurt Yan Hui. He adds that Yan Hui passed away after she fell into black river. Zi Chen asks Ling Xiao for giving the justice to Yan Hui.
Ling Fei thinks Yan Hui shouldn’t be forgiven because she studied the art of demon dragon. She tells Ling Xiao that Yan Hui should be killed. Ling Xiao tells Ling Fei to get on knees to him. She asks him if he actually plans to blame her for the bad student.
Ling Xiao forces Ling Fei to get on knees to her with his immortal art. He asks her if she doesn’t regret for what she did. She smiles to tell him that killing Yan Hui was the best thing she did in her life. She thinks she shouldn’t regret.
Ling Xiao ruins the jade ring of Ling Fei. He announces to deprive the position of her. He tells the fairies to lock Ling Fei up in Monster Tower. The fairies try to touch Ling Fei. But Ling Fei stops them. She reminds Ling Xiao that she’s the younger sister of Su Ying. She adds that she’s the symbolism of Chill Sect and Morning Star Mountain.
Ling Fei mentions everyone knows Yan Hui loves monster dragon. She thinks Ling Xiao shouldn’t punish her for the sinner. She asks him if he fears to be the enemy of Chill Sect. Ling Fei is taken down by the fairies. She blames Ling Xiao for bullying her for Yan Hui.
Ling Fei asks Ling Xiao why he always favors Yan Hui. He tells the fairies to beat Ling Fei. Ling Fei is furious to use the black powers to hurt the immortals. Ling Xiao cuts off the black powers and ruins Ling Fei’s mind sea. He tries to kill her. But he’s stopped by Su Ying. Su Ying blames Ling Xiao for hurting her younger sister.
Ling Xiao explains it to Su Ying that Ling Fei has fallen into evil path. But she points out that Ling Fei’s mind sea was ruined. She wants to take her sister to back to Chill Sect. She promises to watch her sister. He reminds her that she goes against Immortal Master’s reputation if she guards the person who fell into evil path. Su Ying reaches out her hand to Ling Fei. She takes her away. The disciple asks Ling Xiao if they let the two leave. Ling Xiao claims that Morning Star Mountain and Chill Sect aren’t related anymore.
Fu Yin watches it from the water mirror. He thinks Su Ying is just a chess piece of him. He believes that nobody can stop him because the dragon is dead and the dragon scale is at the bottom of the Black Lake. He knows he will control the world as long as he breaks the Star Seal.
We go to the bottom of the Black Lake. Yan Hui is lying on the ground. She’s in a coma. The black smokes fly to her. They get into her body. Ling Xiao is on the stage. He remembers he taught Yan Hui to write her name. He taught her to drive sword then. She tried to hand over the chicken leg to him when they had meal together. She complained it to him that those guy mocked her. He told her that she didn’t let him down.
Ling Xiao abandoned Yan Hui. He told her that she’s not the disciple of Morning Star Mountain anymore. He crushed the dragon scale from her heart. She blamed him for doing it to her. Her heart was broken. She cried to jump into the Black Lake.
Ling Xiao thinks he owed Yan Hui for guarding the world. Fu Yin’s voice appears. He thinks Ling Xiao cannot stabilize his heart. Ling Xiao opens the barrier. The master thanks Ling Xiao for completing his task. Ling Xiao recognizes Fu Yin immediately.
Fu Yin laughs. He thinks Ling Xiao recognized him this time. He mentions they have a meeting in the mind sea. Ling Xiao remembers his master told him to ruin dragon scale. He realizes it was Fu Yin. Fu Yin admits it. He thinks he wouldn’t get rid of the enemy if it wasn’t Ling Xiao. He laughs when he thinks nobody can control him. He asks Ling Xiao if he wants to know how his master Qing Guang died. He reveals Qing Guang was weak after he set up the dragon scale seal for Yan Hui. Fu Yin caught the chance to eat Qing Guang in the past ten years.
Fu Yin tries to break the barrier. But the barrier blocks him. He reminds Ling Xiao that there’s no spiritual dragon in the world. He tells him that he won’t forgive him and Su Ying. Ling Xiao comes down the mountain. The disciple asks him about the seal. Ling Xiao realizes that he made a big mistake. He thinks he hurt Yan Hui.
Su Ying touches the sword in her room. She doesn’t believe her lover is dead. She overhears that there were disciples going missing. She summons the disciples. She asks them why they didn’t report it to them. The disciple explains it to her that they reported it to Su E.
Episode 32 of Back From the Brink Chinese Drama ends with Yan Hui holding the dragon egg to walk to Starry Stage. The immortals pull out their swords to block Yan Hui’s way. Yan Hui tells the immortals to walk aside because she doesn’t wish to take action.
