Seo-Yeong takes her friends to her collection room in Beyond the Bar episode 5. She introduces a new painting to them. She claims that he spent three hundred million won to buy the painting. But one of her friends Ye-Jin says that she has the same painting. She only spent 100,000 won. Seok-Hoon meets with his ex-wife Yeon-A in the park. She reveals she’s pregnant. He gets angry because she insisted on not having a baby. But she changes her mind. She feels sorry.
Father’s Face

The painter Gwan-Mo visits Seong-Chan after Seo-Yeong threatened to sue him. He swears to catch the thief. Seol-A helps two people find their way with her sign language at the hospital. The colleague wonders where Seol-A learned the sign language. Seol-A remembers Hyo-Min asked her to read the sign language books for her. Because Hyo-Min had dyslexia. She wished to find her sister. She found her sister soon. But the sign language didn’t work. Fortunately, Hyo-Min’s sister could read lips.
Hyo-Min is working in the Reference Room. She receives a message from her sister. Her sister asks her to help the defendant Jeong-Hye. The court is going to render a judgment because Jeong-Hye didn’t defend herself. Hyo-Min goes to the court. But the judge only gives the lawyer one week to prepare. Hyo-Min visits Jin-Woo. She reveals she accepted a case. He gets angry. But he still takes her to see Seok-Hoon.
Seok-Hoon is told that their rival is Seong-Chan. He asks the girl to go to prepare the court defense. Hyo-Min leaves Seok-Hoon’s office. Jin-Woo offers to give the girl a training because he worries that she will make a mistake. Seok-Hoon agrees to Jin-Woo’s plan.
Jin-Woo takes Hyo-Min to train with the rookie lawyers in the meeting room. Seok-Hoon shows up. He wants to see Hyo-Min’s performance. He even prepared a case for her. But she fails. Seong-Chan is told that Yullim sent out a rookie lawyer to take care of the case. He decides to send a rookie lawyer as well. He chooses his secretary So-Ra. He asks So-Ra to crush the lawyer. He learns that the lawyer is Hyo-Min. He tells So-Ra to win.
Hyo-Min works in her office until evening. She asks herself to win because her rival is Seong-Chan. Her coffee cup is empty. He doesn’t want to go to make coffee. So she chooses coffee sugar. She notices that Seok-Hoon is going to leave the office. So she runs to him. She asks him to help her. He returns to his office. He reads the papers. He finds out that her debate statement is very good. But she worries that she cannot speak well. He lets her do it in front of him.
Seok-Hoon thinks Hyo-Min looks like a cheater after he heard her defense. He asks her if she knows why she was defeated by Sang-Chul. He mentions the papers he gave her. She knows there were some mistakes in the papers. He points out that Sang-Chul won because he believed the papers. He knows Hyo-Min couldn’t defend well because she didn’t trust her client.
The trial begins. Gwan-Mo is confident. He speaks out how he draw his painting. But Jeong-Hye is nervous. She cannot explain it when Hyo-Min asks her about her idea when she painted the painting. She only knows to seek her mother’s help. The judge has to adjourn the court.
Hyo-Min is told that Jeong-Hye is a mentally disabled person. But Jeong-Hye’s mother didn’t leak it. The senior lawyer scolds Hyo-Min for it. But Seok-Hoon asks the senior lawyer to leave the meeting room. He offers to tell the judge that the defendant cannot be questioned because of her health issues. Hyo-Min agrees to Seok-Hoon’s plan. But So-Ra reports to Seong-Chan that the defendant is a mentally disabled person. He asks her to make sure the defendant will appear on the witness stand. So she can give the defendant a pressure.
The trial begin again. The judge decides to let the defendant to answer questions since the defendant is in the court. So-Ra guides Jeong-Hye to confess that she copied Gwan-Mo’s drawing when she’s in the school. Hyo-Min thinks it’s not a piece of evidence. But the judge disagrees. She thinks it’s related to the dependency. So-Ra forces Jeong-Hye to confess that she copied Gwan-Mo’s works when she attended his art exhibition. Hyo-Min remembers Seok-Hoon asked her to let go of her prejudice. She requests an adjournment.
The senior lawyer Do-Yun walks out of the courtroom with Hyo-Min. He asks her to beg him. But she claims that she will handle it. He grabs her arm. He tries to force her. Seok-Hoon stops Do-Yun. He tells him something. Hyo-Min meets with Jeong-Hye in the room. Jeong-Hye thinks she made a mistake. Hyo-Min asks Jeong-Hye to tell her about the painting. Hyo-Min meets with Jeong-Hye’s mom outside the room then. She tells the madam something.
The trial begins the third time. Hyo-Min asks Gwan-Mo about his painting “Fiesta”. He reveals it’s just a landscape painting. She asks Jeong-Hye about the painting then. Jeong-Hye takes a look at her mother. The madam smiles at her daughter. Jeong-Hye gains tremendous courage. She reveals the painting is her father’s face. She takes out her father’s photo.
Hyo-Min hands over the photo to the judge. The judge displays the photo. Hyo-Min takes a look at the painting. She points out that she didn’t see the face of Jeong-Hye’s father. Jeong-Hye says that she concealed it. Because she knows her mother will be sad if she sees it. She tells Hyo-Min that she will see it in the dark. The judge lets the staff turn off the lights in the courtroom. Hyo-Min carries a flashlight to approach the painting. She casts the painting. We see a man’s face.
It flashes back. Jeong-Hye tells Hyo-Min that what she drew was her father. She says that she was very happy when she drew her father. She loves her father every much. But the man left her and her mother. Her mother burned her father’s photo. She decided to conceal her love for her father. Jeong-Hye’s mother cries after she saw her husband’s face in the paintings. She allows her daughter to continue to miss her father. She promises not to get angry if Jeong-Hye tells everyone about her father.
Hyo-Min summons Gwan-Mo. She asks him to explain it to her why Jeong-Hye’s father appeared in his painting. She figures it out that he didn’t draw the painting. He admits it that he copied the girl’s paintings. She asks him to apologize to the girl. But he rejects it. He blames heaven for not giving the talent to him. He throws a fit to Jeong-Hye. Because he knows she’s going to become famous. Hyo-Min scolds Gwan-Mo. She thinks he should respect Jeong-Hye. Because he imitated the girl’s paintings. She asks him to compensate the girl. He loses his mind.
Hyo-Min leaves the courtroom with the lawyers. The lawyers praise Hye-Min. Hye-Min drops something. Seok-Hoon picks the item up. He stops her when he calls her Lawyer Hye-Min. He returns to key chain to her. He leaves. She yells at him. She promises him that she will work hard. The colleagues ask Hyo-Min to buy them a meal. Because Seok-Hoon accepted her.

Hyo-Min returns home. She laughs when she lies in the bed. She receives a message from her sister. Her sister thinks her aunt would raise her if she’s a genius like Jeong-Hye. The next day, Hye-Min attends a meeting with the colleagues in the meeting room. The president Seung-Cheol announces that he’s going to retire. He introduces his successor Na-Yeon. Na-Yeon walks to the stage. She has an eye contact with Seok-Hoon.
