The big star In-Gang takes Ah-Jin to attend the red carpet event at Busan International Film Festival in Dear X episode 5. Ah-Jin is confident when she faces the crazy fans. But she trips suddenly. In-Gang walks to her. He asks the pretty girl to hold his hand.
Ah-Jin is interviewed after the red carpet event. She thanks In-Gang for helping her. Jun-Seo arrives at the airport. He sees the interview. Jae-Oh eats at a restaurant. He watches the interview as well. Le-Na returns to In-Gang’s house in the evening. She’s tired to lie on the couch. In-Gang shows up. She hugs him from his back. She tries to grab the wine from him. But he walks aside. He mentions what he told her not to come his house. But she thinks it’s not his true heart.
Le-Na grabs In-Gang’s hand. She knows the hand was held by Ah-Jin. She tries to disinfect for him. But he shakes off her hand. He claims that he helped his sister. But she points out that he helped Ah-Jin. She brings up that the girl was sweet in front of everyone. But she felt creepy when she saw the girl’s eyes. He asks her to break up with him. She yells at him when she claims that it’s not her true heart. She asks him to forgive her. Because it wasn’t the first time she did it. He realizes that his fake kindness gave her the hope. He’s cold to walk to the window. She hugs him from his back again. She cries. She begs him to give her another chance. But he lets her hands go. He returns to his room.
Ah-Jin is on the set. She plays a helpless girl who runs to Le-Na’s car to seek help. But Le-Na stops her acting. She tells the director that Ah-Jin’s acting isn’t good. She gets off the car. She thinks Ah-Jin didn’t rehearse. She tells the girl that even a cockroach’s acting skills are better than her acting skills. The director takes Le-Na’s side.
The manager Hyang-I tries to give the towel to Ah-Jin. Because she worries that the girl will catch a cold. But Le-Na asks Hyang-I to go to take water for her. She keeps bringing trouble. The director persuades Ah-Jin to go to apologize to Le-Na. He knows he will lose a lot of money if Le-Na continues to do that. Le-Na gets in the van. She claims that she didn’t intend to do that.
Mi-Ri watches Ah-Jin’s photos in her room in the evening. In-Gang shows up. She thanks him for going to the film festival with Ah-Jin. She tries to give him a hug. But he ignores her. He asks her to help him break up with Le-Na. She persuades him to wait for a while. Because they’re going to sign the contract with the company. He reminds her that the company requires the real couple. He doesn’t want to tell a lie. She agrees to help him. But she asks him to take care of Ah-Jin.
Mi-Ri gets a call from someone. She arrives on the set. She meets Le-Na in the van. Le-Na claims that she won’t be comforted by the cheap candy. Mi-Ri brings up that Le-Na was drunk to drive. She threatens to expose it. Mi-Ri gets off the van. Le-Na follows Mi-Ri. She apologizes to her. Hyang-I brings the hot coffee to Ah-Jin. Ah-Jin sees Mi-Ri scolding Le-Na. She wonders how Mi-Ri suppressed Le-Na. Hyang-I guesses their boss had a plan before she did it. She reveals Mi-Ri has a file that is like chains to control every actor. The stuff can ruin those guys’ lives.
The Makeup Artist dresses up for Ah-Jin at the beauty salon. Le-Na shows up. She blames Ah-Jin for embarrassing her. Ah-Jin wonders why Le-Na was so afraid of Mi-Ri. We find out that Hyang-I turned herself in after Le-Na was taken to the police station. Ah-Jin reminds Le-Na that she will be replaced if she doesn’t realize her mistake. She leaves the beauty salon.
Jae-Oh goes to Ah-Jin’s company to deliver the flowers. He tries to follow Ah-Jin. But she’s protected by the manager. He remembers she told him that they will meet again when he’s more useful. He laughs. Ah-Jin and Hyang-I are in the van. Ah-Jin figures it out that Le-Na bullied Hyang-I because Hyang-I was Le-Na’s manager. She asks Hyang-I to let her know about it if the girl bullies her again. Hyang-I comforts Ah-Jin that she knows Mi-Ri concealed the chain file into the drawer. She plans to take it away if something bad happens to her. Ah-Jin glances out the car window. She sees Jun-Seo’s poster.
Jun-Seo signs the books for the fans in the library. He leaves the library. He’s on the way home. He see Ah-Jin’s poster as well. Ji-Sun borrows from the loan shark. She visits her father. She asks him to help her. He’s furious to reject it. So she threatens to ask her son for the money. She’s taken away. Jun-Seo shows up with the books. His grandpa asks for more books. Because he has many friends.
Jae-Oh visits his aunt with some money. But she doesn’t want to see him. Because he was the one who killed his brother’s father. He feels sorry. He leaves her house. He sees his brother. He avoids him. He cries after his brother got into the house.
The next day, Jun-Seo and Ah-Jin are in the library because of work. Jun-Seo’s mother Ji-Sun takes Jun-Seo away. She blames him for tangling the girl. Le-Na tails the two. She wonders what’s the relationship of Jun-Seo and Ah-Jin.
Ji-Sun and Jun-Seo are outside the library. Jun-Seo asks his mother to go to apologize to Ah-Jin. He walks away. Le-Na looks at Jun-Seo’s poster. She tells the manager that she wants to work with the guy. Ji-Sun breaks into Mi-Ri’s office. She asks Mi-Ri not to let her daughter show up on TV. Mi-Ri guesses Ji-Sun wants to get some money. But Ji-Sun claims that she’s very rich.
Ah-Jin returns to the company. She’s told that her mother visited. Ji-Sun persuades Mi-Ri to stay away from Ah-Jin. Because Ah-Jin was the one who murdered her father. Ah-Jin shows up. She mentions Ji-Sun beat her. Ji-Sun claims that she didn’t come to see Ah-Jin. She leaves Mi-Ri’s office. Ah-Jin promises Mi-Ri that she will work hard. She leaves her office. She runs into Le-Na. Le-Na brings up that Ah-Jin’s mother didn’t take Ah-Jin’s side. She’s interested in Ah-Jin’s past. Ah-Jin threatens Le-Na that she will be sad if she continues to do that. But Le-Na tells the girl to worry about herself.
Le-Na is going to take part in a show with Jun-Seo. She wonders if he had a girlfriend before. She invites him to have dinner with her. But he rejects it. Ah-Jin is off duty. She sees the show of Jun-Seo and Le-Na. Le-Na asks Jun-Seo to give her a ride after the filming.
Hyang-I and Ah-Jin are on the way to Ah-Jin’s house in the evening. Ah-Jin asks Hyang-I to drop her so that Hyang-I can take a break. Hyang-I sends a message to Le-Na. She reports to her that she has informed Ah-Jin that there’s a building inspection. Le-Na and Jun-Seo are in the car. She asks him to take him to the company. Because she left something important at the company.
Ah-Jin returns to the company. She sneaks into Mi-Ri’s office for stealing the file. She finds a safe. She tries to open the safe. But Le-Na shows up with the file. She got the file before Ah-Jin because she took the elevator. Ah-Jin chases Le-Na to the parking lot. Le-Na thinks Ah-Jin will be over. She asks the girl to get on knees to her. But Ah-Jin has the pride. Le-Na slaps Ah-Jin. Ah-Jin brings up that In-Gang wanted to break up with Le-Na. Le-Na is furious to beat Ah-Jin. She stops when Jun-Seo shows up. She gets in his car. He takes her to leave the parking lot.
Jun-Seo and Le-Na are at a bar. She claims that she just gave the arrogant girl a lesson. But he thinks it wasn’t a lesson. She realizes that he’s the girl’s fan. Because he cared for Ah-Jin. Le-Na complains it to Jun-Seo that Ah-Jin always gives her a hard time. But she won today. He doesn’t believe she won. She invites him to come to the anniversary party of her company with her. Because she wants to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. She reveals Ah-Jin will attend the party as well. Ah-Jin returns home. She reads Jun-Seo’s book. Jun-Seo watches Ah-Jin’s interview at home. He learns that she wants to be a good actress.
The party begins. Mi-Ri walks to the stage to give a speech. But In-Gang feels uncomfortable suddenly. He goes to the room to take the medicine. But he cannot reach the pill. Ah-Jin shows up with a bottle of water. He takes the medicine in her help.
Ah-Jin returns to the party. She runs into Le-Na. Le-Na introduces her partner Jun-Seo to Ah-Jin. In-Gang shows up. He thanks Ah-Jin for helping him. Someone plays the video that Le-Na beats Ah-Jin at the parking lot. Hyang-I is nervous. She remembers she filmed the two at the parking lot after Ah-Jin fell into the trap.

Ah-Jin finds Le-Na. She thinks it’s very funny that the big star was exposed to beat the rookie. She asks her to get on knees to her. But she tells her that she was just kidding. She offers to get along well. Ah-Jin is in a good mood after she defeated the big star. But she runs into Detective Park who disguises as a waiter. He plans to get rid of her with the chance. He brings up that she ruined Jung-Ho’s life.

Le-Na follows Detective Park. She takes a photo of him. She sends the photo to her friend. She asks her friend to look into the guy. She doesn’t know Jun-Seo is behind her. Jun-Seo returns home. Ah-Jin is waiting for him. She runs into his arms. He hugs her. She asks him to help her get In-Gang.
