Akira sees the abandoned city. The mysterious girl sees him as well in Dusk Beyond the End of the World episode 1. He’s hit by a falling stone. He realizes that it’s not a dream. He wonders if he lost his memory. He finds out that he came out from a Medical Capsule. A man and a girl show up. The man explains it to Akira that the ruin collapsed because of the earthquake. He came because he worried about him. The girl laughs after she noticed that Akira doesn’t wear pants.
The man covers the girl’s mouth. We learn that the girl is Idhi. The man apologizes to Akira. He thinks his daughter Idhi was rude. But Akira thinks it’s fine. He passes out then. The man Weir takes Akira away from the ruin. He puts him on a oxcart. They’re on the way to the village Hakdoate. Idhi worries about Akira. Weir mentions the lord wasn’t hurt. Akira wakes up. Idhi reports it to her father. Akira learns that Weir and Idhi saved him. He thanks them. He tells them his name.
Weir introduces himself and Idhi to Akira. Akira asks Weir about “Lord Omniscient”. Weir reveals “Lord Omniscient” is the god in his village. He tells Akira that he taught them all kinds of knowledge. So he was worshiped in the ruin. Akira had slept in the ruin before Weir was born. Weir was asked to manage the ruin by OWEL. He didn’t expect that Akira woke up.
Akira wonders what happened to Towasa. He has a headache. Idhi worries about him. Weir informs the two that they’re going to arrive at the village Hakdoate. Akira knows the place. He sees the tower. He remembers he and Towasa came to the tower before. Idhi suggests that Akira should take a break.
Weir takes Akira home. His wife is shocked after knowing he took the lord home. He explains it to her that he couldn’t leave the lord there. She agrees with what he said. She looks at Akira. She thinks the guy is the lord. Weir persuades her not to stare at the lord. Akira wakes up. He’s told that he’s at Weir’s house. He finds out that he recovered. Weir’s wife is happy with the good news. She promises Akira that they will try their best to entertain him.
Akira has dinner with Weir and the villagers. The villagers are shocked after knowing there was an impressive technology in the “Common Era”. They believe it because Akira is the evidence. Akira asks Weir how long he slept. But Weir doesn’t know it. He reveals they’re just the local residents who only have the right to browse history. Akira is surprised that Wei and his people need right to browse history.
Vogt reminds his brother Weir that they should deal with Akira as a relic. The villager agrees with what Vogt said. He thinks it’s not good if they don’t report it to OWEL. Akira is told that OWEL is the group that manages the world. He wonders what happened to Japan. Weir reveals Japan was dismantled by OWEL. People trust OWEL because it brought a peaceful world to them. Akira thinks the world is good.
Idhi asks Akira how old he is. He reveals he’s 18 years old. But he realizes that he should count the time he slept. Vogt persuades Weir to report it to OWEL again. But Weir rejects it because he thinks Akira just woke up. Vogt yells at Weir. He thinks Weir just wants to hear the story of the old days from Akira. The villager also persuades Weir to think about the risk of the whole village. Weir’s wife cannot stand it. She thinks the people are all cowards. She mentions Akira feels uneasy after he woke up. She volunteers to take care of the lord. She asks the people not to report it to OWEL. She disallows them to complain. Idhi joins her mother. She supports her. The baby cries. Weir’s wife carries her child. She asks Akira to relax at her house. Akira and Idhi sleep in the room. Akira cannot sleep. He goes to the roof. He sees other villages. He misses Towasa. He doesn’t know the mysterious girl is watching him. Vogt rides his horse out of the village.
The next day, Akira is trying to wash his face in front of a well. He swears to find the clue about Towasa. Idhi says good morning to Akira from her room. He wants to ask her a favor. She takes him to the market. He finds out that people used the coins to trade. The mysterious girl is in the market as well. She buys a pair of amulets.
Akira goes to the library. He leafs through the books. He doesn’t find any useful information. He figures it out that OWEL controls the information. He tells Idhi that he wishes to see the people of OWEL. But the girl is furious to express that she hates those guys. She complains it to him that those guys like to beat people up.
Akira and Idhi pass by the village. They see the people. Akira guesses the people are celebrating. Idhi is very happy after she witnessed it. She wishes to be a sharer. He notices that it’s a wedding. But the people are girls. Idhi doesn’t know what is wedding. She reveals it’s an Elsie.
Akira and Towasa were at home. He read her LC project. He thought it’s interesting that she was going to upgrade humans. He gave a ring to her. She was shy to ask him not to call her sister.
Weir’s wife Taverina finds Akira. She asks him to fix the tractor. He fixes the tractor. Cannith praises Akira when he shows up with the soldiers. Weir is shocked after he saw Cannith. Vogt points at Akira. He tells Cannith that Akira is the person he’s looking for. Taverina realizes that Vogt betrayed them. The guy claims that he had no choice.
Cannith introduces himself as the official of the area to Akira. Akira is arrested by the soldiers. He wonders why Cannith did it to him. Cannith tells Akira that he’s just an excavated artifact. He thinks he doesn’t have any human rights. He grabs his hand and he thinks he should undergo an examination. Weir tries to stop Cannith. But Cannith reminds Weir that he’s a traitor because he didn’t report Akira. He shoots his leg. Taverina notices that her husband was hurt. She comes to care for Weir.
But Cannith orders the soldiers to arrest Idhi. He explains that he wants to ask the girl some questions because she was the first one who found the relic. Taverina claims that she won’t let Cannith take away her daughter. But he threatens to kill her. Vogt is shocked after knowing Weir and Idhi are going to be taken away. But Cannith thinks he did nothing wrong.
Weir explains it to Cannith that he wanted to report it after Akira recovers. But Cannith thinks it’s just an excuse. He takes out a stun baton. He stabs Weir’s wound with the stun baton. Weir screams because of the pain. But Cannith is happy with it.
Akira, Weir and Idhi are on the train. Idhi worries about her father after he was hurt. He touches her head. He comforts her that he’s fine. Akira feels guilty. He thinks it was his mistake. The train comes to a stop. Cannith orders the soldiers to kill Weir and Idhi. Because the two saw the relic. Akira blames the guy. He thinks he’s not a human. Cannith reveals he does it for getting promoted. He tries to kill Idhi.
Akira doesn’t know what to do when he watches it. The mysterious girl shows up. She destroys the train. She beats Cannith. She throws him into a house. Akira thanks the mysterious girl for saving him. But he wishes to know who she is. She promises to help him as long as he listens to her request. He agrees to it. He begs her to save Weir and Idhi. She receives his order. She asks him to go to hide.

The soldiers try to shoot Weir and Idhi. But the mysterious girl makes a barrier. The bullets are blocked. She begins to kill the soldiers. Cannith uses one of the soldiers as his shield. He takes a Gatling gun. He believes that he will win. But she takes out a particle cannon. She kills him and she destroys the mountain behind him.

The mysterious girl completes her job. She joins Akira. He realizes that she’s not a human. She reveals she’s an android. Her name is Dusk. She mentions her request. She approaches him. He’s shocked when he mistakes her for Towasa. She asks him to marry her.
