Little Maximus is on the way home in Fallout Season 2 episode 2. His father gets a bottle of water at home. He tests the water. He finds out that there’s no trace of rads. He and his wife are very happy. He gets her to drink the water. He thinks there’s a lot of clean water down there. He tells her that they don’t have to worry about the rationing. They can grow more crops. He offers to have another kid.
Little Maximus and his father walk to the caravan. But his father finds a nuclear bomb. His father asks him to go home immediately. His father tries to dismantle the bomb. But he fails. He’s scared to run away. He returns home. He lets Little Maximus hide in the cabin. Little Maximus’s parents are killed by the bomb. Hank completes the job. He tells Little Lucy a story.
Maximus and his colleague wear the suits to break into a place. They find the stuff after killing some monsters. Maximus asks the colleague to keep the stuff. He plans to go to join the vertibird. Maximus takes the vertibird. He lands the Sky Fortress. The people of Brotherhood of Steel call him knight. Maximus reports it to the chief that they encountered some monsters. But he took care of it. He hands over the stuff to him. He wonders what it is. The chief reveals it’s the key to their new home. He mentions Brotherhood was broken into some rival chapters. But they have the strength to unify them. Because they own the mightiest arsenal. He shows Maximus the arsenal. He bewitches him that they will make the fallen world better. He calls him son. Maximus turns around. He sees the chief off. He smiles. He mistakes that he found back the fatherly love he lost. He doesn’t know his new father is a demon.
Lucy and The Ghoul are on the way to Las Vegas. Lucy takes out a kettle. She drinks the water inside the kettle. The Ghoul wants to drink water. He’s rude to grab the kettle from Lucy. She’s furious to scold him. She reminds him that his family might be alive. She thinks they will be disappointed if they know what he did. He takes a look at her. She figures it out that he wants his family to like him. He ignores her. He keeps moving forward. She follows him. She persuades him that a little bit of kindness will be of great help to him. She brings up that Charles Dickens wrote a book for it. She can tell the story to him if he’s interested in it. But he’s not interested in it.
Someone asks Lucy and The Ghoul to help her from the hospital. Lucy hears the cries for help. She wants to do something. But The Ghoul tells the girl that empathy is like mud. You lose your boots in that stuff. Lucy explains it to the guy that she thinks they shouldn’t ignore it since they heard the scream. But he points out that those guys have been screaming for 200 years. She reminds him that those guy will stop screaming if he helps them. He reveals he was stupid like her before the war. But she gets into the building. He has to follow her.
The Ghoul thinks they’re wasting their time when he and Lucy walk in the building. But Lucy doesn’t think so. She claims that what they’re doing is right. They find the girl who needs medicine. The Ghoul recognizes the girl. He knows she’s a tunic. He thinks she and her people came from a distant place. Lucy tells the girl to ignore The Ghoul. She reveals she only has one stimpak. The Ghoul thinks what Lucy does is wasting resources. He tells Lucy that the person doesn’t deserve the saving. She ignores him. She gives the water to the girl.
The Ghoul finds another tunic. He tries to help him up. But he kills him. He eats him. He thinks it’s his dinner. He tries to approach the girl. But Lucy stops him. He vomits suddenly. He walks to the body. He checks his back. He sees something. He pulls out his gun. Two scorpions appear. They attack Lucy and The Ghoul. Lucy and The Ghoul kill the enemies.
A big crab gets into the ward. He eats the scorpion. He attacks The Ghoul. The Ghoul kills the crab. He was hurt. He asks Lucy for a stimpak. But the girl was stabbed by the crab. She needs a stimpak as well. Lucy only has one stimapk. She chooses to save the girl. Because she knows The Ghoul won’t die. She takes the girl to leave the hospital.
In Vault 31, the people wake up after Norm thawed them. The guy wonders why they all woke up. He mentions their plan was waking up people one by one. Norm informs the people that the plan was changed. The girl Claudia believes that it’s Reclamation Day since Norm thawed them. Norm admits it’s Reclamation Day. But he brings a bad news to the people that Bud is dead. The people are shocked after knowing it. Norm comforts them that they should remain calm. He mentions they need to come up with an idea to leave the place. The people are anxious after knowing they’re trapped. Claudia finds out that her crackers disappear. She guesses someone ate it.
At Vault Tech, Hank tries to control the rats with the machine. But the rats are dead. Maximus takes the people of the Brotherhood of Steel to get into Area 51. They begin to work. Maximus becomes the leader of the group. They find a fridge and they ruin a car. The knight thinks Maximus has an evil plan. So he asks Maximus about the plan. Maximus doesn’t leak it. But he asks the knight to clean himself. The knight brings up Lucy when Maximus is wiping his suit. But Maximus gives up the girl because he has a duty to fulfill. The knight reveals Quintus called for the meeting. But Quintus didn’t tell the Commonwealth. He believes that Quintus is breaking chain of command. He reminds Maximus that Commonwealth won’t let Quintus seize power without a war. He wonders if it’s what he wants. Maximus takes Quintus’s side. He wants to stop the tragedy.
The chiefs of other chapters come to Area 52 to attend the meeting. They worry that Commonwealth will defeat them if they rebel. Quintus comforts the chiefs that he has the power of the cold Fusion diode. It can power airships and suits. He believes that they can win as long as they’re united under a common banner. But the chief thinks it’s Quintus’s banner. She changes her mind soon after Quintus showed her the nuclear bombs.
Lucy is on the way to take the girl home. Lucy reveals she plans to go to Las Vegas. But the girl thinks Lucy shouldn’t go to the place. She worries that she will be hurt. She disappears. Lucy sees some people carry torches. She has bad feelings.
Back to Vault 31, Norm tries to get the people to obey his orders. But they don’t know him. They only respect Bud. Norm convinces those guys. They begin to divide the work among themselves. At Vault Tech, Hank thaws a person Steve. He decides to conduct experiments on a living person since his rat experiments failed. He kills Steve. But he won’t give up. Because he has many living people.
Lucy walks in the dark. She’s scared. She’s surrounded by some strong men. She tries to use her superior negotiation skills to talk with those guys. In Vault, Norm leads the people to open the ventilation duct of the vault. They find a ladder. Norm takes the people to get out of the Vault. They see the sea. Norm thinks it’s beautiful.

In Area 51, there’s a suit fight. Maximus isn’t interested in the fight. He tries to leave. But the strong man stops Maximus. He wants to challenge him. Because he heard that he killed Moldaver. Maximus doesn’t plan to fight the guy. But Quintus wishes Maximus does it. He wants to tell other chiefs who’s the boss. Maximus tries to go to wear his armor. But the man stops Maximus. He wants to fight hand-to-hand.

Maximus is beaten badly in the beginning. Because he’s not ready for it. But he lets the man taste his fist. The man takes out a knife. He tries to attack Maximus. But Maximus kills the man with the knife. His friend leaves in disappointment. A helicopter appears. The man Paladin gets off the helicopter. He introduces himself as a person of Commonwealth. He brings up that those guys are having a meeting. But he wasn’t invited. Quintus laughs to welcome Paladin. But Paladin is interested in Maximus.
