Thaddeus drinks at the brewery in Fallout Season 2 episode 3. He praises the kid Lois after she did a good job. He scolds the kid Bobby when he’s dozing off. He cheers everyone on. He mentions they only worked 12 hours. They need to work 10 more hours. He suggests that Perry should take off the gloves. So the meat on his palms can grab the bottle. Perry opens the cap. He’s happy to tell his boss that he did it. Thaddeus tells Perry that he will get calloused hands as long as he keeps it up.
Thaddeus notices that Trudy doesn’t work. He asks her to explain it to him why she doesn’t make money for him. She reveals Lois was mean to her. Lois thought Trudy is like a ghoul. But Thaddeus thinks there’s nothing wrong with being a ghoul. He points out that he’s a ghoul. He reveals Perry is a ghoul as well. Thaddeus has a meeting with the kids. He asks them to remember that they’re very lucky to be there. He reveals he witnessed many terrible things outside. He mentions they have a good roof and a well-defended perimeter. The kid asks the boss about the water. Thaddeus thinks they can drink the soda. He tells everyone that the place is pretty good. Because nobody forces them to do push-ups.
Lucy and the girl are taken to the military camp. The girl is killed because she didn’t protect the soldiers. Lucy meets the leader of the army Caesar. The soldier calls her The Profligate. He reveals they’re talking about who gets her first night. She cannot stand it. She thinks first night is the dregs from the Middle Ages. She thinks those guys crossed the line even if she respects their traditions. She points out that she’s not a virgin anymore.
Lucy is tied up. The soldier reveals they’re at war with The New California Republic, The Khans and The Brotherhood. But they need to conquer the traitors in the legion first. Lucy discovers that there’re two Caesars. The soldier reveals the founder of the empire is dead. They have been at war for deciding the heir. The founder wrote down the name of his heir. He put it into his divine pocket. The false Caesars and his followers shoot at the soldiers when they try to take the note back every time. Lucy volunteers to help the soldier. She thinks the task is very easy because she was trained. The soldier smiles. He nails her to the cross. She reminds him that the place is America. She persuades him to be a good person. But it doesn’t work.
At the hospital, The Ghoul dresses his wound. It’s a hard time to him after Lucy betrayed him. Fortunately, the dog accompanies him. It flashes back. The Ghoul is at home. He notices that his wife just cried in the kitchen. She reveals she couldn’t put Jenny’s teddy into the Keepsake Box. She explains it to him that it’s for the Vault. She doesn’t want to leave anything behind. She holds their family photo. He reveals he needs to go to attend Charlie’s party.
The Ghoul attends the party. He asks Charlie about Robert House. Charlie reveals the guy is building the weapons system in Vegas. The Ghoul wants to do something to stop Robert House. But Charlie reminds The Ghoul that everyone in the party killed people ever. The woman Diane Welch gives a speech. She introduces herself as the congresswoman for the District of Glendale. She brings up that she rejected the corporate funding. She thinks America cannot afford any more corporate influence.
The Ghoul goes to the restroom. He runs into Robert House. Robert House asks The Ghoul if he’s getting any awards. The Ghoul denies it. He says that he just came to accompany his friend. Robert House knows The Ghoul’s friend is Charlie. But The Ghoul doesn’t recognize Robert House.
At present, the chief of the chapter decides to quit after Paladin came. Because she doesn’t want to rebel. Quintus brings up that their found rebelled after he was affected by the God. But the chief doesn’t believe in God. She asks Quintus to give the Cold Fusion relic to the Commonwealth. She leaves the meeting room. Maximus volunteers to kill Paladin. But Quintus goes against it. He mentions they will be killed if they cannot get the help of the other chapters. He kicks Maximus out of the tent.
Maximus runs into Paladin outside. Paladin thinks the elder cleric is bringing trouble. He tells Maximus that only he can be the leader. He wants to have a talk with him. He knows Maximus is an outstanding person like him. Maximus agrees to have a talk.
The Ghoul finds the camp of Caesar army. He sees Lucy suffering with his spyglass. He teases the girl. But he finds out that there’re two Caesars. He realizes that the war is going to begin. He decides to save Lucy even if he doesn’t like the girl. But he needs her. He doesn’t want to deal with two Legions at the same time. He thinks they need the reinforcements. So he visits the New California Republic.
The Ghoul gets into the office. He runs into his buddy Victor. The Ghoul came to look for Robert House. But the guy isn’t there. The Ghoul believes that Robert House has some plans. But his plans need the stuff the Cold Fusion. The Ghoul tries to leave the office. But Victor reveals the Rangers are in the hills.
Maximus boards the helicopter with Paladin. Paladin begs Maximus to help him get the relic. He reveals the world is about to end if he cannot get the stuff for the Commonwealth. He discovers some robots in the desert. He thinks they should protect the wasteland.
The Ghoul is in the hills. The captain Rodriguez shoots him. The Ghoul mistakes that those guys are welcoming him. But he’s beaten down by the ranger. Rodriguez stops the ranger from hurting The Ghoul. She mentions The Ghoul is their friend. Rodriguez and the rangers cannot reach the reinforcements. She asks The Ghoul to help them. But he rejects it even if he got the medicine from her. Because everyone is dead.

Maximus and Paladin break into the base. They work together and they kill a robot. They become good friends after they completed the task. The Ghoul visits Caesar. He tells him that he’s going to leak where the people of New California Republic hide. Lucy is released after The Ghoul betrayed New California Republic. Lucy and The Ghoul leave the camp of the Legion. He doesn’t know if what he did is right. She doesn’t understand it until she hears the explosion from the camp. She doesn’t morally blackmails him. She thinks those guys deserve it after she suffered in the camp.
Paladin and Maximus get into Thaddeus’s brewery. They find Thaddeus and the kids. Paladin tries to kill them. Because he thinks they’re monsters. But Maximus murders Paladin for saving those people. Thaddeus recognizes Maximus. He’s told that there will be a war because of what Maximus did.
