Fire Force Season 3 Episode 14 Recap: With The Sun at His Back

Nine years ago, Benimaru and Konro look at the sky in the yard in Fire Force Season 3 episode 14. Benimaru tells Konro that he likes moon more than sun. Konro thinks Benimaru is making an excuse for not using the sun. He reminds him that he will be scolded by the boss if he says such words again. He reveals red moon is a double-edged sword that can only launch when there’s a trustworthy sun. It’s an art that is irresponsible.

Fire Force Season 3 Episode 14

Konro tells Benimaru that he can shine brightly on his own. He asks him to turn the sun into his weapon. The door opens. The boss announces that the training begins. The boss Hibachi Shinmon is the former Fire Chief of the Asakusa firefighters.

The flame person runs on the street in the evening after he made the fire. The firefighter Foien freezes the flame person. He mentions the flame person often appears. Another firefighter Karim thinks it’s the effect of catastrophe. Suddenly, an earthquake struck.

The sixth pillar and the seventh pillar appear in the two bays. The sixth pillar will be taken care by the army. But nobody takes care of the seventh pillar. Shinra persuades the members of the 8th Special Fire Brigade to take action in the meeting. Because the seventh pillar is close to Asakusa. He’s reminded that the people of the 8th Special Fire Brigade are rebels. Someone wishes Benimaru does something. But Benimaru thinks it’s the empire’s job. He watches the news. He sees a flame person appearing at the seventh pillar. He recognizes the guy. The guy was his boss Hibachi. Benimaru realizes that he was played by his boss. He decides to attack the seventh pillar. He doesn’t allow anyone to take action. Because the guy is his rival.

Yuuichirou and Ooguro face the sixth pillar in the bay. Ooguro believes that Yuuichirou gets used to it. But Yuuichirou says that he hates strong guy. He thinks the second Special Fire Brigade will take care of it. Gustav leads his army to prepare for the fight. Behind him are armored vehicles. Ooguro heard the 7th Special Fire Brigade will take care of the seventh pillar. So they don’t have to handle it. Ooguro wants to end the fight quickly so that they will get overtime pay.

In the open sea of Sumida Bay, Benimaru finds the giant Hibachi above the seventh pillar. He asks him why he came back. Hibachi says that he wants to break the empire. He fights Benimaru. Konro takes Hibana to the beach to watch the fight. He confirms that it’s the former Fire Chief. He reveals Hibachi loved Asakusa more than anyone.

Hibachi knocks Benimaru away. He thinks he’s useless. He wonders what he learned from him. Benimaru reminds Hibachi his downfall. Hibachi claims that his downfall is a part of Asakusa firefighters.

It flashes back. Hibachi scolds Benimaru in a room. He thinks he’s a fool. Benimaru yells at Hibachi. He thinks he just had a fight with someone. Hibachi points out that the problem is why Benimaru fought. He kicks him. Outside the house, Benimaru complains that Hibachi beat him after Hibachi told him not to fight. Konro shows up. He learns that Hibachi gave Benimaru a lesson. He heard that Benimaru beat the guy in the shopping street. Benimaru admits it. He reveals the guy made him unhappy. Konro thinks Benimaru shouldn’t have joined the fight. Benimaru reveals the guy wanted to have a fight with him. The two had a fight in the middle of the road. Benimaru thought the guy blocks his way. Konro believes that Benimaru will become stronger than him. But Benimaru claims that he’s just a fool. Konro tells Benimaru that he will get anything. Because he’s powerful. He mentions what Hibachi said that they shouldn’t misuse their strength because it will bring good or evil. He wants Benimaru to be a graceful man.

In the evening, Hibachi meets Konro in the room. He guesses he said something he shouldn’t say to Benimaru. Konru admits it. He reveals Benimaru thought he doesn’t gain Hibachi’s approval. But Hibachi thinks Konro spoiled Benimaru. He says that it means that Benimaru lacks the capability if he doesn’t understand it after he was beaten. Konro learns that the chief wants to raise Benimaru into a monster. Hibachi mentions they shoulder the mission to take someone’s life. He thinks only Benimaru can do that.

The next day, the flame person shows up on the street. Hibachi decides to take action. But the kid doesn’t want Hibachi to do that because the flame person is his mother. He claims that his mother did nothing wrong. He begs Hibachi not to murder his mother. But Hibachi rejects it. Benimaru hugs the kid from his back. So the kid won’t hinder Hibachi. The kid yells at Benimaru. He thinks he should know his feelings. Hibachi kills the flame person in the end.

Hibachi and Benimaru return home. Hibachi brings up that they killed 9569 people. He shoulders the responsibility that killing 278 people. He will continue to kill people. Asakusa is his town. But it won’t last forever. He asks Benimaru how long he will keep running away. He wants him to be prepared for shouldering the life of the deceased to live. He asks him to leave the place.

Benimaru masters the skill the sun. Hibachi sees the sun on the street. He’s very happy. Because he has a heir. But the kid stabs him from his back. The kid claims that he did nothing wrong. He thinks he just did the same thing as Hibachi. Hibachi agrees with what the kid said. He thinks he would be killed since he killed people. The kid doesn’t understand why everyone admires Hibachi. He thinks he doesn’t have right to take away someone’s life. Hibachi doesn’t understand it as well. He mentions ordinary person cannot be the chief of firefighters.

At present, Benimaru blames Hibachi for dying easily. They use some skills when they fight. Hibana watches the fight. She notices that the fight affected the oceans. Konro reveals Hibachi was very strong. But Hibachi couldn’t tie with Benimaru. Konro realizes that everyone is still afraid of Hibachi. He reminds Benimaru that he has regrets. He persuades him to let Hibachi witness what he has shouldered since Hibachi died.

Benimaru claims that he won’t be heartless to drive Hibachi back since Hibachi intended to come to the real world. He uses fire moon to strike Hibachi. Hibachi is under Benimaru. He uses Crimson Moon to blow Benimaru. But Benimaru is the son of flame. Everyone flame in the world takes his side. Hibana is sweating. She wonders why the guy is so strong. Konro tells her that there’s no reason. He sees the Asakusa firefighters. Those guys came to support their young master.

Hibachi thinks Benimaru is a monster like him. Benimaru bows to Hibachi. He reports it to him that he took over the position from Konro after he passed away. He reveals he came to fight him. He promises him that he won’t bring shame upon his name. He invites him to witness his fire art. Hibachi learns that Benimaru wants to kill him. Konro leads the firefighters to cheer on Benimaru. Benimaru uses the sun. Hibachi is killed. He thinks the art isn’t bad before he disappears.

Benimaru lands on the ground. He tells Konro that he sent Hibachi off. He reveals Hibachi treated him as a fool til the end. But it proves that Hibachi agreed with Benimaru. Konro tears up. He thinks Hibachi and Benimaru were stubborn.
