Gen V Season 2 Episode 2 Recap: Justice Never Forgets

Marie records a video in Gen V Season 2 episode 2. She tells people that she wishes to return to the school. But she cannot go on. Because she knows what she’s saying is a lie. She thinks the school is a bad place for her. But Emma points out that Marie needs the school. She persuades her friend that Vought won’t kill her as long as she’s famous. She brings up Cate. But Marie doesn’t want to hear the name. Emma thinks they should carry out the plan together.

But Jordan disagrees. He thinks they should flee. Emma points out that they will be sent to Elmira. He thinks it’s not a problem for Marie. Because she can run away again. Marie claims that she wouldn’t flee if she knew Andre would die. He blames her for abandoning them. She falls silent. Emma begs Jordan to let her complete it. He walks away. Marie agrees to it after Emma convinced her.

Marie and Emma complete the video together. They post it online. The students in the school see the video. They’re shocked. Marie meets with Dean Cipher in his office. He feels happy that she returned. He knows she stayed in the motel. She thanks him for accepting her. It makes him laugh. He knows it’s not her true feelings. He believes that she wants to kill him immediately. He reveals he knows she saw him at Elmira. It promotes her to wonder what he did at the place.

Dean Cipher knows Marie feels guilty because of Andre’s death. He thinks it wasn’t her mistake. He claims that he doesn’t know why the boy fled. He mentions Andre’s condition. He reveals Andre is like his father whose neural micro tears when he used his powers. So he died when he moved the big door. Marie doesn’t believe Dean Cipher’s words. So he takes out Andre’s medical records from his drawer. He hands over the medical records to her. She checks the records. He allows her to keep the papers. Because he thinks it will help her. She agrees to it. She tries to leave his office. But he stops her. He asks her to watch Jordan and Emma. He reveals Cate was attacked. But she’s alive and she’s in the hospital. Marie is surprised. She learns that Cate is still in a coma. Dean Cipher promises to inform Marie once Cate wakes up.

Sam watches the news that Cate was attacked in the lobby. He sees Emma. Jordan offers to flee after knowing Cate is alive. But Emma plans to kill the girl for resolving the problem. But Marie goes against it. She thinks it’s a premeditated murder. Emma agrees to what Marie says that it’s a bad behavior. But she thinks it’s the only way to save them. Marie worries that Dean Cipher has known what they did. Jordan doesn’t think so. He mentions they were arrested. He comes up with another reason to run away. But Emma wants to go to look into the Odessa project. She mentions Starlight cared for the plan. Jordan thinks Emma is crazy. He asks Marie to judge it. But she’s silent. It promotes him to think that she’s crazy as well.

Cate is in a coma in the ward. The doctors take care of her. Sam walks into the ward. The doctor stops him when she tells him that he cannot enter the place. But he claims that he got the permission from Dean Cipher. He asks the two doctors how the girl was hurt. He’s told that Cate was found in Weehawken.

Sam has a seat. He tries to talk with Cate. But she grabs the doctor’s hand. She blames those guys for abandoning her. She mentions Emma. The doctor is affected by Cate. She stabs another doctor’s eye. Some doctors break into the ward.

Dean Cipher takes Anderson to his office. He feels honored after knowing Anderson decided to return to the school. He shakes hands with the man. He feels sorry for Andre’s death. He mentions Anderson and his son’s condition. He gives the key to him.

Modesty Monarch teaches her students in the classroom. Emma is one of the students. Modesty Monarch asks the students to make a video about Cate being attacked. Emma tries to leave the classroom. But Modesty Monarch stops Emma. Emma claims that she doesn’t have any platform. She thinks the class isn’t suitable for her. Modesty Monarch reminds Emma that she has the ability to motivate boys. But Emma isn’t interested in it. She tries to leave. Modesty Monarch reveals Dean Cipher wished Emma to take the class. She reminds Emma that those fans are her family.

Marie records another video. She blesses Cate. She returns to the dormitory when Jordan is reading Andre’s records. Marie reveals the records were given by Dean Cipher. She thinks it was the psychological tactics of the guy. Jordan tells Marie that Dean Cipher told a lie to her. But Marie knows what the dean said is true. Jordan learns that Andre killed himself when he moved the door. She gets angry when she thinks Andre was a fool. She blames Marie for not letting her know about it. Marie apologizes to Jordan. But Jordan doesn’t accept Marie’s apology.

Stacy breaks into the dormitory. She introduces herself to Marie. She reveals the dean asked her to take care of Marie. She vomits suddenly. She puts her vomit into a bottle. She claims that it’s honey. She gives the schedule and the student ID to Marie. She reminds Marie and Jordan that they need to attend the Hero Optimization Seminar.

Marie and Jordan go to the Hero Optimization Seminar. Dean Cipher welcomes the students. He tells them that they were chosen because they’re special. Marie wonders why they’re special. He asks her about her powers. She reveals she can control blood. But she doesn’t know the details. Dean Cipher tells the students that he’s going to help them know how their powers work. He reveals the class is over once they press the button. But they need to defeat the superhero Vikor. Vikor shows up with a hammer. He begins to attack the students. Jordan hits the button before Vikor kills Marie.

Dean Cipher comes back. He announces the time of next class. Marie gets angry because Vikor just broke the student’s spine. But he thinks the boy will recover. He claims that he doesn’t have the duty to take care of the babies. What he wants to do is to push their powers. Dean Cipher tells the students that they will level up when they’re under the pressure.

Rufus puts pressure on the girl in the cafeteria. He shows her the Starlight poster. He thinks she was the culprit. Emma cannot stand it. She scolds the guy. He leaves. Emma is told that the girl is fine. She takes the medicine. Anderson shows up behind her. He thinks they need a talk.

Anderson takes Emma to his office. She calls him Professor Polarity. He doesn’t care for it. He thinks what she said is right that he shouldn’t drink at home. He wants to do something for his son. She gives him a hug after knowing they have the same idea. She apologizes to him for misunderstanding him. He brings up what she said that the dean was at Elmira. She admits it and she suspects the guy. She reveals the dean has a plan. He swears to kill the dean and ruin the school. She knows he’s in anger. But she thinks he should calm down. She suggests that he should know the dean’s plan first. But he complains it to her that the only one who didn’t leave Elmira was his son. But she asks him to show his talent. He agrees to it. He asks her about the Odessa project. She reveals the project was leaked by Starlight. He guesses it’s very important.

Marie and Jordan return to the dormitory. Marie complains it to Jordan that the class was terrible. She mentions Jordan saved her. She thinks Andre wouldn’t die if she didn’t left. But Jordan knows she should have saved Andre. She knew it was a bad idea when the boy wanted to save them. But she didn’t stop Andre. Jordan tells Marie that it was her mistake. But Marie knows Jordan couldn’t stop Andre. Jordan laughs when she mentions Andre tried to break the record. She tears up and she tells Marie that she misses the boy. She thinks she scolded Marie for making herself feel better. Marie comforts Jordan when she tells the girl that she won’t lose her. They sleep together.

Anderson takes Emma to the archives. He asks her to follow his lead. They enter the archives. Anderson recognizes the guard Kyle. He brings up that they had a meeting at the Vought Summertime Club. But Kyle tells Anderson that it doesn’t work no matter what he says. He reveals their last meeting is at the casting office. It’s Emma’s turn. She tells Kyle that she’s his fan. She mentions his show. She still remembers his line on the show. He takes her and Anderson to the archives because she made him happy.

Sam joins the Brotherhood. He’s told that Emma went to Weehawken. Sam is shocked. He doesn’t believe that Emma would do that. Emma and Anderson look for the Odessa project in the archives. Emma guesses the project is in the hidden room. Anderson opens the door of the hidden room. They walk into the hidden room. Emma finds Odessa project soon. She grows larger suddenly.

Jordan and Marie lie in the bed. Jordan wishes to have a date with Marie. Marie kisses Jordan. Emma is on the way to return to the dormitory. But she bumps Sam. He has known she was the one who attacked Cate. He asks her to confess. He brings up that Cate let the doctor leak her name. She pretends not to know it. But he mentions she and Marie appeared after Cate was hurt. He emphasizes that Cate saved them from Elmira. He thinks she shouldn’t have done that. She reminds him that Cate killed Andre. She thinks the girl brainwashed him and his brother. She tells him that he will face it one day.

Marie and Jordan see the fireworks outside the window. They walk out of the dormitory. They see the crazy students. They’re told that Dogknott killed one of the starlights. Marie recognizes the boy because he bought her the snack. She realizes that it was her mistake. She thinks the victim was killed because she and Jordan didn’t do anything. Emma shows up. She asks Marie to take a look at the papers when she claims she knows what’s Odessa project. Marie checks the papers. Emma tells Marie that Odessa is her. Cate wakes up in the ward. She sees the bodies of the doctors. Dean Cipher enters the ward. He tells Cate that he killed the doctors.
