Gen V Season 2 Episode 4 Recap: Bags

Justine hosts the show “Truth Bomb” in Gen V Season 2 episode 4. She plays Jordan’s speech. She thinks Jordan told people that she attacked Cate for protecting those Starlighters. She praises Cate for not playing the victim. She plays Cate’s video then. Cate claims that she was attacked by Starlighters. She guesses Jordan told a lie for the likes.

Gen V Season 2 Episode 4

Jordan watches the show when she’s with Marie outside Cipher’s office. She wants to take the fall alone. But Marie volunteers to take the fall with Jordan. She points out that those people let Jordan be the number one. So they should take care of it. Jordan doesn’t care for her ranking anymore. Because the school is so fake. She reveals she just wanted to tell the truth. She and Marie look at the doors of Cipher’s office. She wonders what those people will do.

Cipher opens the doors of his office when he scolds Cate. Cate ignores Jordan and Marie. She leaves in a huff. Cipher lets Jordan and Marie enter his office. The two kids see the man Seth Reed. He comes from Vought Marketing. Seth Reed mentions Jordan and Marie are top students in the school. But only one can be number one. So he wants the two to fight. Marie expresses that they won’t fight. But Cipher points out that Jordan and Marie don’t have a choice. He reminds Jordan that public hates her. He mentions she lied about Andre and she tried to protect the vicious Starlighters.

But Jordan claims that what she said is the truth. Cipher tells Marie that people want to see her beating Jordan. She points out that she doesn’t have the strength. She offers to let Jordan issue some sort of statement. But Cipher slams his desk. He yells at the two students that they don’t have a choice. He threatens to send them to Elmira with Emma. Jordan thinks it’s unfair to Emma. Because the girl did nothing wrong. Jordan realizes that Cipher won’t hurt anyone as long as she fights Marie. But Marie refuses to fight Jordan. But Cipher forces the two to fight in front of the entire world. Marie must win. Marie tells Cipher that she cannot beat Jordan. But he believes in her. He thinks she will be confident after she trains with him.

Jordan and Marie return to the dormitory. Emma is told that she will be sent to Elmira. She refuses to return to the place. Jordan promises Emma that she will help her. Emma asks Marie if Cipher knows she’s Odessa. She wonders why the guy wants to hurt Marie since she’s so important. Marie doesn’t know it. Emma complains it to Marie that Cipher always threatens them with Elmira when he wishes her to do something. Marie offers to let Cate push the guy. She mentions they don’t know Cipher’s powers. She believes that Cate can help them.

But Jordan doesn’t think Cate will help them. Because the girl is on Cipher’s side. Marie mentions Cipher scolded Cate. She guesses the girl isn’t loyal to Cipher. But Jordan and Emma worry that Cate will betray them again. Marie points out that it’s the only idea she can think of. She asks Jordan and Emma if they have a better idea.

Marie and Jordan visit Cate. Cate opens the door. She explains it to the two that she was forced to tell a lie. But Jordan doesn’t believe her words. She reminds him that he tried to kill her. She blames him for bragging about it in front of the entire school. Marie calms Cate down. She reminds Cate that they’re on the same side. She knows she hates Cipher like them. She offers to come up with a way to deal with the guy. Cate scares Marie that she’s going to go to report them. But Marie begs Cate to listen to what they will say. She promises not to tangle her if she doesn’t like their words. Cate lets the two enter her room.

Emma goes to see the Starlighters Harper and Ally. The two are told that Jordan and Marie are going to have a fight. Ally worries that the two will kill each other. Emma complains it to her new friends that Marie and Jordan thought Cate can stop Cipher. She knows the girl won’t help them. Ally agrees to what Emma said. She thinks Jordan’s speech was stupid. But Harper disagrees. She thinks Jordan was brave.

Emma asks Harper and Ally to stop the fight with her. She mentions their powers. But she doesn’t know what Ally can do. Ally reveals she’s not special. But Emma doesn’t believe it because Ally got into the school. Ally explains it to Emma that she’s there because her father paid for the library. She leaks that she can control her hair like Medusa. Emma thinks it’s cool. She wants to see it. But she’s told that the hair Ally can control isn’t on her head. She realizes something. She decides not to see it at this time.

Greg knocks on the window outside. Ally turns around. She sees her brother. She reveals her brother can fly. Emma decides to hide the stuff. But she’s told that Greg is a Starlighter as well. Grey enters the room from the window. He recognizes Emma because they got class together. He mentions she tried to fail Modesty Monarch’s class. He praises her.

Cate tells Marie and Jordan that she has never seen Cipher’s powers. Marie wonders if Cate read the guy’s mind. Cate reveals she tried it many times. But she failed. Jordan thinks they cannot deal with Cipher. Cate offers to find some dirty on the guy so that he will stop the fight. She believes that he’s hiding something. She reveals there’s a weird locked door in Cipher’s house. She suspects that there’s a machine behind the door. She guesses the machine is very important to the guy.

Marie decides to get into Cipher’s house. But Jordan worries that they will be caught. She comforts him that she will stall the guy. She mentions Cipher wanted to train her. She thinks Jordan and Cate will get plenty of time. He goes against it because he doesn’t know what the guy will do to her. She points out that Cipher doesn’t want to hurt her.

Jordan and Cate are outside Cipher’s house. Jordan watches the video of her and Marie. Cate wonders if Jordan shot a commercial for Vought. Jordan thinks those guys deepfaked her and Marie. Cate worries that Jordan will is reading the comments. She suggests that she shouldn’t do that. Because it’s brutal. Jordan notices a comment. The fan mentions Cate thought Jordan is a liar. Cate is furious to ask Jordan how many times she should apologize to her. Jordan offers to let Cate apologize to her one time. Cate apologizes to Jordan. But she mentions Jordan tried to kill her.

Jordan brings up that Cate slept with the Teaching Assistant. But they make up soon. Cate praises Jordan for what she said about Andre. She’s happy that she told the truth about Andre. Jordan notices that Cipher left. She thinks she and Cate can get into the house once Cate pushed the guard.

Jordan and Cate walk to the guard. Cate explains it to the guy that she left something in the house when she visited Cipher. She asks him to let her and Jordan enter the house. The guard rejects it. She touches his hand and she asks him to give her the keys. But he doesn’t listen to her. She has to get the keys on her own.

Jordan and Cate enter Cipher’s house. Jordan blames Cate for not confessing to them that her powers don’t work. He mentions the guard almost killed them. He opens the weird locked door. He and Cate get into the room. They find an old man who lies in the hyperbaric chamber. Jordan takes a photo of the guy. But the guy wakes up. Jordan and Cate run out of the room.

Marie goes to the training room to see Cipher. He sees nobody except Cipher. She wonders if she doesn’t need to fight anyone. Cipher tells her that the rival is herself. She wonders if other students will get private lessons like her. He claims that he only trains the student whose powers are worth his time. She realizes that he knows a lot about powers. This is why he was put in charge of the school.

The lesson begins. Cipher asks Marie to move the bag to the empty table. She needs to make sure that the bag won’t burst. Marie does it. But she fails. She’s asked to try it again. She throws a fit to Cipher. She thinks she cannot do it. He suggests that she should stop thinking and feel it. So she will connect with each cell in the bag. She wonders what will happen if she makes it. He reveals the miracles will appear. She moves all the bags to the table. He asks her if she felt it.

Harper takes Emma to the auditorium. She tries to help her use her power. But Emma refuses to give it a try. Harper persuades Emma that Ally only told them about her powers. She tells her that she and Ally believe in her. Harper expects Emma to go big. But she doesn’t see what she wants to see. They laugh.

Marie is asked to move an Elon. She refuses to do that because the Elon is a living thing. Cipher claims that they’re just bags. She worries that she will kill the animal. But he urges her to hurry up. She wants to say no. He knows she won’t because she wants to know about Odessa. She pretends not to know what he’s saying. He reveals the school was to produce her. He persuades her that she will be a powerful metahuman if she accepts his help.

Marie wonders why Vought wants to get a powerful metahuman like her. But Cipher doesn’t give her the answer. He asks her to levitate Elon. Marie pays attention to Cipher’s neck when she levitates the poor goat Elon. The goat bursts.

Emma returns to the dormitory. She sees Cate. She learns that she has to work with the traitor. She accepts Cate when Cate hands over the drink to her. Marie comes back. Jordan shows Marie the photo she took in Cipher’s house. Marie reveals she discovered that Cipher isn’t a Supe. She figures it out that they don’t know the guy’s powers because he doesn’t have any powers. She found no V in his system.

Marie persuades Cate to push Cipher. But Cate reveals her powers don’t work. It promotes Emma to wonder why the girl is there. Cate claims that she’s gracious and she forgave those bad girls. Marie wonders if Cate’s powers are gone. Cate denies it. She promises to come up with a way to fix it. Cipher sends a message to Cate. He asks her for a meeting up. Marie asks Cate to meet the guy. But Cate worries that Cipher will kill her. Marie reminds Cate that the guy doesn’t have any powers. She suggests that Cate should meet him somewhere public. She thinks the fight is a good place. But Cate should wear a wire.

Marie asks Cate to get Cipher to admit that he’s a human. She thinks it’s the secret Cipher is hiding. Cate points out that she will be searched before she approaches Cipher. She thinks she cannot find a way to set up the camera. Emma volunteers to do it. She reveals she has a crew.

Emma meets with Ally at the hotel. The fight is going to begin. Ally gives the wire to Emma. Emma tells Ally that her powers are good. She becomes small and she enters the drainage pipe in Harper’s help. Cate gets into the VIP room. Cipher is waiting for her. He comforts her that nothing bad will happen. But he cannot promise the same for Jordan.

Jordan and Marie are in the locker room. Jordan tells himself that he will be fine when Marie worries about him. She persuades him not to pretend to be tough in front of her. He mentions he got his powers when he was six. But he hid it. He reveals he had a nightmare that everyone screams at him. Marie points out that it was just a dream. But he thinks the dream comes true. She promises to support him because she loves him.

Cipher mentions Cate and her friend disturbed his father. He wants to talk about it. Emma reaches the toilet of Cipher’s bathroom. Cate explains it to Cipher that she did it because she was interested in him. She apologizes to him. She brings a good news to him that her powers came back. He’s happy with it. She tries to reveal that she knows something about him. But he stops her because he needs to go to the bathroom. Emma runs out of the bathroom after Cipher sat on the toilet. She tells Cate that she’s not fine. She sets up the wire.

Cipher returns. He wonders how Cate recovered. But the fight of Marie and Jordan catches his attention. Emma joins the Starlighters after she completed the task. They monitor Cate and Cipher since Emma has set up the wire. Cate tells Cipher that her powers got stronger after she recovered. She reveals she has known that he’s a human. She forces him to stop the fight. But he finds the wire.

Cate tells Cipher that she wasn’t kidding. She mentions he doesn’t have any V in his blood. So he’s not a Supe. He learns that it’s what Marie discovered. He invites Cate to watch the bloodbath with him. Marie kisses Jordan. Jordan turns into a girl. Marie asks Jordan if she feels better. But Jordan punches Marie. Cipher controls Jordan to wave at him and Cate.

Marie tries to stop Jordan. But Jordan attacks Marie. Marie realizes that Jordan is controlled by Cipher. Jordan beats Marie. Cate asks Cipher to stop. She worries that he will kill Marie and Jordan. But he ignores her. He asks Marie to fight it back. Marie levitates Jordan. But Jordan doesn’t burst. Cipher is happy because Marie made it. Jordan falls to the floor. She passes out.
