He guesses Choubei got the distorted Taoism after Choubei came to the island. He mentions the External Elixir flower can turn human into elixir. He learns that it was Rien’s smoke screen. Rien reveals he wanted to conduct reconnaissance. But he planned to see it with his eyes. He says that it was beautiful. He wants to take Choubei back to the city for studying. Choubei gets angry. He tries to punch Rien. But he reaches the limit. Rien persuades Choubei not to force himself. He worries that he will die. He stuns him.
Choubei is in a space. He tells Touma that he will come back. Because he’s different from his father. He tears up. He thinks it will be broken. Choubei wakes up. He finds out that he’s in a bed and his hands are tied up. The room is bright and beautiful. He wonders where he is. Rien shows up. She thinks Choubei’s body is very precious. She reveals Taoisms blended together during the elixir process. But the Taoism of the human won. She thinks it was a miracle. She tells Choubei that he’s the key man of her research. She takes off her clothes. He’s surprised that she’s so excited. She denies it. She reveals it’s sleeping art. She’s going to let her Taoism and his Taoism cycle. So she can master the details. It also can help him recover his weak Taoism. Every Taoism has different attributes. They’re Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. The attributes can affect each other. The sleeping art doesn’t work if there’s an incompatibility between partners. She wonders if he has a preferred style. He admits it to her that he wants to get something. He asks her what the island is and what’s their goal.
In the cave, Fuchi learns that the island and the immortals were created by someone. The person was the famous alchemist who came from the mainland. He studied immortal method, according to the thoughts of immortals. Taoism thinks everything is composed of Qi. The alchemist found the way to control Qi on the island. He let Qi of all creatures integrate. He did it for chasing the goal of immortality. The immortals were born from it. It merged the Qi of human and plant. It turned into hermaphrodite. Because Yin and Yang are in harmony. The immortal can enhance Qi on his own. Creatures would lose Qi because of activities and time. But those immortals has practiced for a thousand years. So humans cannot defeat them. Taoism is the only way to kill the immortals.
Yuzuriha wonder why the supermen are trapped on the island. Fuchi reveals the training sessions of Breathing Techniques and Yoga in Taoism can make a human’s body reach immortal state. It’s Internal Elixir Art. On the other hand, physical constitution or cultivation, the methods that everyone can be immortality. For example, trying to make immortality medicine. It’s called External Elixir Art. The immortals are making such a thing.
Yuzuriha realizes that the immortals are making immortality medicine. She’s surprised that the medicine exists in the world. Fuchi says that those guys are studying it. The Elixir they mentioned is the prototype. They collected humans like bees. They sucked their lives that are Taoisms. They took away the lifespan.
Fuchi tells his teammates that the immortals need Elixir to extend lifespan. Their Taoisms cannot achieve self-sufficiency. They will die if they lose too many Taoisms in a short period of time. Yuzuriha points out that the immortals have enough Elixirs. She wonders what they will do once they come up with the immortality method. Mei guesses the immortals want to fulfill the alchemist Jofuku’s last wish. Jofuku served the First Emperor of Qin during the Qin Dynasty. He studied immortality. He took three thousand boys and one hundred artisans to Eastern Sea. Nobody has seen him since then. There’s a tale that he’s somewhere on the island. He continues his research.
In the garden, Rien hugs Choubei. She reveals the place is for creating immortal life. He learns that the monsters were artificial. She admits it. She says that each one has an experimental purpose. The existence of Tree People is for observing the lives of the immortals. Because Tree People lack a strong sense of mortality. So Kitchen God’s goal is for teaching them morality.
Rien and the immortals are just artificial creatures. They were merged by Grandmaster’s Taoism and Flowers. They’re single lives. But they’re independent and separate. Choubei is surprised that it was achieved so easy. But she says that it wasn’t easy. Taoism is the source of everything. It’s like dusk filling the world. Shaping all things that exist. Air is just a form Taoism. So controlling Qi means controlling rules in the world. But it’s very hard to control life. So Choubei’s Taoism is so precious. Choubei learns that Rien wants to study him so that she can turn everyone on the island into immortality medicine. She denies it. She says that she wants to do it to everyone in the nation. She completes the preparations. She only lacks the perfect elixir. She agrees to accept him as one of their partners if he cooperates. She won’t turn him into elixir. He’s shocked. He wonders what’s the wise choice. He knows he cannot defeat her with his current state. He cannot flee as well. He throws Rien to the bed. He agrees to do the sleeping art for mastering Taoism. But he doesn’t want a girl to be on top of him. She comforts him that she will be gentle to him. She wraps her arms around his neck. He tells himself to get used to the situation. He attacks her. She’s very happy when she’s under the attack. She thinks his Taoism is great.
In the cave, Yuzuriha learns that Jofuku is the origin of all things. Mei passes out. Her arm turns into a wood. Fuchi catches her. He wonders what happened. She reveals her body isn’t complete. She would become a wood once she uses Taoism. She cannot recover on her own. Yuzuriha offers to recover Taoism like Gabimaru. Mei rejects it. It’s too little and it’s not enough for circulation. Because her core was destroyed by Rien.
