Idol I: Episode 11 Recap

Ra-Ik takes a look at the earrings at Se-Na’s house in Idol I episode 11. He tells Se-Na that he has known who came to his house. He gets a call from Young-Bin.

In Jae-Hee’s ward at the hospital, Jae-Hee blinks when the doctor talks to him. It means that he can hear what he says. The cop Nam-Sik asks the guy if he comes to his senses. Ra-Ik and Se-Na arrive. Jae-Hee asks Ra-Ik why he’s in the ward. He asks him about Hye-Joo. The doctor says that the patient needs to rest. He asks the people to get out of the ward.

Bo-Sang and Young-Bin walk out of the ward. They don’t understand why Jae-Hee wanted to see Hye-Joo. Bo-Sang guesses Ra-Ik knows something. Ra-Ik and Se-Na are in the car. Ra-Ik drives the car. Se-Na feels relieved after knowing Jae-Hee woke up. He brings up the earrings. He reveals he and Hye-Joo customized the earrings together many years ago.

It flashes back. Hye-Joo is happy to show Ra-Ik the couple earrings in the car. He thinks it’s very beautiful. They put the earrings on each other. Ra-Ik takes off his earring when he breaks up with Hye-Joo. He puts it into the safe.

At present, Se-Na and Ra-Ik are on the way to Se-Na’s house in the evening. Se-Na guesses the evidence the police took away is Ra-Ik’s earring. She wonders if it’s related to the sound of electronic lock they just heard if Hye-Joo got into his house. She persuades him to report it to the police. He agrees to her plan. He points out that they have come this far for the truth. He asks her to get into the house. She agrees. She tells him to be careful when he returns home.

Se-Na is at home. She gets a call from Chung-Jae. He asks her to come downstairs. He reveals he wants to show her something. She walks into his house. He shows her the footage that someone was in the garden when it was raining. But they cannot see the murder’s face. Se-Na guesses the murder was Hye-Joo. She reveals the lady went to Ra-Ik’s house. He points out that Hye-Joo and Ra-Ik agreed to have a meeting outside. But Jae-Hee wanted to see Hye-Joo after he woke up. Se-Na thinks it’s a piece of circumstantial evidence. Chung-Jae decides to look into it. Se-Na thanks him. He claims that he does it because he hates Ra-Ik. He believes that Ra-Ik will disappear from Se-Na’s life if he helps Ra-Ik clear his name. He might have a chance at that time.

The next day, Se-Na goes to the police station. She gives the evidence to Nam-Sik. He confesses it to her that he thought it’s weird that Jae-Hee wanted to see Hye-Joo after Jae-Hee woke up. He wants to investigate from the clue. But Byung-Gyun insisted on suing Ra-Ik. Byung-Gyun said that they shouldn’t change the suspect with only Jae-Hee’s testimony. He thought it cannot prove that Hye-Joo is related to Woo-Seong’s murder case, even if Hye-Joo is related to Jae-Hee’s case. Se-Na points out that the police sued Ra-Ik because they thought Ra-Ik is related to Jae-Hee’s case. Nam-Sik agrees with what she said. But Byung-Gyun wants to sue Ra-Ik. Nam-Sik guesses the guy does it because his pride.

Byung-Gyun arrives at the hospital. Nam-Sik reports it to the prosecutor that Jae-Hee is in the ward. Jae-Hee insisted that he only wants to confess to Byung-Gyun. Byung-Gyun gets into Jae-Hee’s ward.

It flashes back. Jae-Hee has a fight with Bo-Sang over the phone in the room at the hotel. Hye-Joo calls him. She asks for a meeting up. So he goes to see her in the evening. He mentions they haven’t seen each other for three years. She says that she just returned to Korea not long ago. She asks him what happened. She worries about him and Ra-Ik after she saw the cover. She asks him if he’s fine. But he says that he doesn’t know what happened. She learns that he came to the place because it’s near the place where they performed for the first time. He tells her that he misses Woo-Seong. He mentions the prosecutor has treated him as a criminal. She doesn’t believe that he would do that. She knows his heart is very soft. But everyone suspects him. She brings up that he went to Ra-Ik’s house. She guesses everyone misunderstands him because of the reason. She believes that everyone will know that he’s innocent soon. He wonders how she knew that he went to Ra-Ik’s house. She makes an excuse that she knew it because she saw the news. She offers to go to have dinner. She asks him to drive his car to show her the way. She will drive her car to follow him. She volunteers to buy him the dinner.

At present, Jae-Hee tells Byung-Gyun that he didn’t tell anyone that he went to see Ra-Ik. He wonders how Hye-Joo knew it.

It flashes back. Jae-Hee gets into his car. He contacts Ra-Ik. He asks him to come to his place. But Hye-Joo knocks at the car window. She urges him to drive. He passes out in the car. Because he drank the coffee she gave him.

At present, Jae-Hee reveals he doesn’t know what happened since then. He thinks it’s weird that Hye-Joo asked for a meeting up. He explains it to Byung-Gyun that he leaked it to him because he told him that the prosecutor will judge it even if he didn’t commit a crime. He mentions what he said that there’s no absolute truth. But Byung-Gyun was wrong. There’s only one truth. Jae-Hee says that he never wrote any suicide note. He didn’t try to kill himself as well. He persuades Byung-Gyun to see the truth clearly. He shouldn’t turn the innocent person into sinner.

Se-Na works in her office at the law firm. She reads the paper that Chung-Jae gave her. She discovers that Hye-Joo has a mental illness. She gets a call from Ra-Ik. Ra-Ik is at the hospital. He mentions the police and the prosecutor came to the hospital. He wants to know if she knows it. Ra-Ik wants to visit Jae-Hee. But Jae-Hee’s case is related to him. So he cannot do that. He wonders if he needs to tell it to the prosecutor if Hye-Joo is related to Jae-Hee’s case. He mentions what Hye-Joo said that she’s going to leave Korea. He hangs up when Young-Bin shows up.

Young-Bin meets Ra-Ik at the hospital. Young-Bin reveals Jae-Hee is recovering. Ra-Ik apologizes to Young-Bin. He thinks everything was because of him. He hurt them. He didn’t know Jae-Hee was suffering. He didn’t know what Jae-Hee experienced as well. Young-Bin asks Ra-Ik not to say so. He thinks they didn’t understand his feelings as well. He guesses Jae-Hee felt sorry for Ra-Ik as well. He wonders what happened that night. He wishes they get Woo-Seong’s cell phone. He brings up that Woo-Seong liked to record. He believes that they will know the truth if Woo-Seong left any clues.

In Prosecutors’ Office, Byung-Gyun remembers Jae-Hee asked him to look into Hye-Joo. Se-Na visits him with the evidence. He throws the evidence to the table. He thinks it cannot prove anything. She brings up that he met Jae-Hee. Jae-Hee confessed that he met Hye-Joo before the accident. She thinks everything was weird. He denies it. She thinks he knows the path he’s choosing is wrong. She reminds him that the innocent person will be wronged all his life if he buries the truth. She knows what the life is. She wonders if he will feel perfectly justified after he pushes the person into the Abyss of Misfortune. She wonders if he can shoulder the pressure all his life. Time is running out. Because Hye-Joo is going to leave the nation. She persuades him not to live like his father. She hands over Hye-Joo’s medical diagnosis to him. She leaves the meeting room.

Ra-Ik returns to the dormitory in the evening. He receives a message from Hye-Joo. She informs him that she’s going to leave. Byung-Gyun works in his office. He takes a look at the medical diagnosis. He cannot make the decision. He remembers his father told him that the suspect killed himself in the prison.

It flashes back. Byung-Gyun runs into Se-Na at the school. She claims that her father isn’t murderer. His father knew it. But he drove her father to the brink. She mentions his dream is to become a prosecutor. She wishes he becomes a prosecutor. So he will witness her fixing everything.

At present, Byung-Gyun contacts Nam-Sik. Ra-Ik calls Hye-Joo when she’s at the airport. He asks her if she came to his house when Woo-Seong had an accident. She denies it. She doesn’t know who told it to him. She tells him that what they said isn’t truth. The police stop Hye-Joo before she boards the plane.

Se-Na visits Ra-Ik. She expresses that she just worried about him. He gives her a hug. It promotes her to ask him what happened. He shakes his head. He tells her that he missed her very much. She mentions they promised to contact later. But he kept not picking up her phone. He drags her into his house. They’re in front of the laptop. She learns that Woo-Seong’s cell phone synchronizes with the cloud space. He guesses someone took away Woo-Seong’s cell phone because there’s something in the cell phone. But he cannot log in the system.

Hye-Joo is taken to the police station. Byung-Gyun yells at her. He asks her to confess it to him that where she was when Jae-Hee was in a car accident. She claims that she went home after she took part in the company event. She asks him to check the CCTV to confirm it. She learns that he didn’t get the CCTV. He claims that they got the more conclusive evidence. That’s Jae-Hee’s testimony. He reveals Jae-Hee woke up yesterday. She feels relieved. Jae-Hee said that he had an accident after he met Hye-Joo. Hye-Joo was photographed at the scene. Her earring was found at the scene as well. Byung-Gyun wonders how Hye-Joo will explain it. She reminds him that Jae-Hee accused her because her statement will be unfavorable to Jae-Hee. She claims that she gave the earring to Ra-Ik on her own that night. She got angry because she and Ra-Ik had a fight. She thinks it’s better to him that the murderer isn’t her.

Byung-Gyun walks out of the interrogation room. He runs into Jong-Chul. Jong-Chul scolds Byung-Gyun. He asks him to release Hye-Joo immediately. Byung-Gyun refuses to do that. He mentions Hye-Joo is the prime suspect and they have evidence. He wonders if Jong-Chul has covered the truth with brute force. He asks him to teach him how to pretend not to see the truth. Jong-Chul reminds Byung-Gyun that Hye-Joo will be released soon. He thinks what he does is throwing a tantrum. He swears to stop his stupid mistake no mater what price he needs to pay. Byung-Gyun learns that his father wants to hinder him for his success. He thanks him for making his last struggle disappear. He claims that he will follow his own path. He will go against him until the very end.

At Cheon Un Law Firm, Se-Na is told that the secret of Woo-Seong is in the CD of Golden Boys. She calls Ra-Ik at the parking lot. She asks him to go to her house. At Se-Na’s house, Se-Na plays the CD. She reveals her fan friend told her that Woo-Seong hid his secret in his songs. Ra-Ik listens to the songs with Se-Na. Se-Na finds the word “Milestones”. She guesses it’s the password. But Ra-Ik remembers Woo-Seong wanted to convey certain information to their fans. He speaks out the word “remind”. Se-Na logs in Woo-Seong’s cloud space with the password. Ra-Ik plays the recording.

It flashes back. Woo-Seong talks with Bo-Sang over the phone in Ra-Ik’s house. He claims that they will leave him. Hye-Joo visits Ra-Ik. Woo-Seong puts his cell phone on the table. The cell phone begins to record. Hye-Joo gets into the house. She looks for Ra-Ik. Woo-Seong stops Hye-Joo. He tells her that Ra-Ik is sleeping. He thinks she’s not changed. She tells him that he’s sucking Ra-Ik’s blood. She slaps him. He persuades her to forgive Ra-Ik. Because Ra-Ik doesn’t love her anymore. She grabs a knife from the table. She decides to kill herself. Woo-Seong tries to stop Hye-Joo. But she kills him. She pulls out the knife from Woo-Seong’s body. She goes to Ra-Ik’s room. Ra-Ik falls asleep in the bed. She cleans up the bloodstains on the floor. She goes to the bathroom to wash the blood off her hands. She notices that her earring is missing. She goes to look for the earring. But Jae-Hee rings the doorbell. She doesn’t open the door. He leaves. She grabs Woo-Seong’s cell phone. She leaves Ra-Ik’s house as well. Jae-Hee calls Woo-Seong when Hye-Joo flees in the garden. Hye-Joo turns off Woo-Seong’s cell phone.

At present, Ra-Ik tears up after knowing what happened. Se-Na grabs his hand. She reminds him that he and Hye-Joo’s relationship will be exposed if they release the recording. But he insists on doing it.

The next day, Hye-Joo is sent to the prison. Byung-Gyun meets Se-Na outside. He reveals Hye-Joo took the sedative from the hospital and she drugged Jae-Hee. He guesses Hye-Joo planned to wrong Jae-Hee to be the murderer. She thanks him. She knows he was under tremendous pressure when he let Hye-Joo stand in the courtroom. But he thanks her for helping him be a star prosecutor. He feels sorry for her father’s case.

Ra-Ik and Se-Na visit Woo-Seong at the cemetery. Ra-Ik gives the flowers to Woo-Seong. He visits Hye-Joo in the prison. He asks her why she killed Woo-Seong. She tells him that everything was because of him. She didn’t go to the United States after she broke up with him. She went to the mental hospital. She tried to kill herself several times. But he smiled on the screen. She thinks she wouldn’t go to his house if he wasn’t heartless to push her away. She wishes he hates her. But he rejects it. He says that he won’t waste his time on hating her. He doesn’t understand why she took away the knife. He thinks he would be murderer if she left the knife at his house. He tells her that it’s not love.

One year later, Se-Na returns home to watch Golden Boys’ interview. Ra-Ik asks his fans to be healthy. Se-Na smiles when she looks at him.
