Chan chases his mother on the street in In Your Radiant Season episode 3. He asks her not to leave. But she leaves. In the house, Chan’s father intends to throw away Chan’s mother’s photo. Chan takes the photo. He begs his father to let him keep it. But his father robs the photo. He pushes Chan out of the room. In the art classroom, Chan’s father scolds the teacher for keeping Chan. He forces Chan to leave the classroom with him. At a school in the United State, Chan promises his father that he won’t draw. He begs him to let him stay in Korea. But Chan’s father ignores Chan.
Chan runs into his father Sunwoo Seok at a workshop. Sunwoo Seok follows Chan to his dormitory. He finds Chan’s mother sketch Chan drew. He tears up the sketch. He tries to beat Chan. Chan stops his father. Sunwoo Seok wants to know how he can get him not to draw. He leaves Chan’s room. Chan sits on the floor. He cries. He stands on the window. He expresses that he cannot find the reason to continue. So he decides to end everything. He tries to jump off the window. But Ha-Ran sends messages to him. It hinders him. She tells him that she took the first place with the pen he sent to her. He gets the chance to live after she hindered him.
Chan talks with Ha-Ran in the lab. He learns that she doesn’t like to eat eggplant. So he goes to the cafeteria to taste eggplant in person. He smiles for the first time because of her. He was trapped in his small world. But the world has grown larger. She liked to smile and she was shining. But she keeps crying and she always hides. He wants to be her chance. Making her be happy again. Because she was the stumbling block who made him live again.
At the restaurant, Chan runs to Ha-Ran. He tells her that he wants to be nice to her. But she rejects it. He explains it to her that he just wants to pay her for what she did to him. She doesn’t need it if it was because she gave him some clothes. She doesn’t want to be close to anyone. She returns the coat to him. She tries to leave. But he stops her. He tells her that he wants to get along well with her when he’s in Korea. It’s only three months.
Chan follows Ha-Ran. He points out that they will meet when they’re at work. She mentions his motto that living well not regretting it after coffin is closed. Not letting anyone be a special person so that anything won’t happen. It’s her motto. She will get along with him well. But she won’t be close to him. He persuades her to give him a try. He will disappear after three months. He learns that she doesn’t want to be his friend. He claims that he will make her want to be close to him. He hands over the medicine to her. He hopes she won’t cough. He runs away. Ha-Ran is in her attic. She tears up. Chan returns to the cafe. He watches the plant. He smiles.
The next day, Ha-Dam breaks into Ha-Ran’s room. She doesn’t see Ha-Ran. She finds her in the attic. She thinks she’s a bear because she sleeps in her cave. She asks her to come to the first floor. Because she has something to say to the family.
On the first floor, Ha-Dam announces that she’s going to get married. Ha-Young mistakes that Ha-Dam is pregnant. Ha-Dam denies it. She claims that she and her boyfriend have a pure relationship. She has known the boy since elementary school. His name is Yoo-Gyum. He’s a baseball player in the school. Na-Na blames the guy for flirting with her pure granddaughter. But Ha-Dam claims that the boy is pure as well. She was the one who made a proposal to him. Ha-Young questions Ha-Dam how she will live because she’s just a high school student. Ha-Dam comforts her sister that the boy will join New York Comet Team next year. Na-Na asks Ha-Dam if she plans to go to the United States with the guy. Ha-Dam denies it. She will study in the medical school in Korea. She plans to send the guy to the United States after she marries him. She won’t feel uneasy even if they’re not in the same nation. Ha-Young tells Ha-Dam that she doesn’t know what’s life. But Na-Na wants to see the guy. Ha-Dam promises to take the guy to see everyone after the game. She leaves. Ha-Young wants Ha-Ran to say something. Because Ha-Ran is the eldest daughter. But Ha-Ran asks Ha-Young to go to work. Ha-Young is surprised that Ha-Ran is so composed since her sister is going to get married.
At Nana Kim Atelier, Ha-Ran runs into Chan who carries four cups of coffee. She remembers what he said that he will make her want to be close to him. Kim Sol shows up with the clothes. Ha-Ran hides behind the clothes. Chan tells Kim Sol that he comes to give coffee to everyone. She tries to take the clothes to the fitting room. But she sees Ha-Ran. Ha-Ran is flustered to run away.
In the office, Chan drives coffee with the colleagues. He takes a look at Ha-Ran’s office. He asks the colleagues about the beauty. Jeremy reveals Ha-Ran disappears at the time everyday. He’s not interested in where she went. Seung-Gyu invites Chan to have lunch with them. But Chan rejects it. He runs away.
Ha-Ran walks out of the company. She runs into Genius. She says goodbye to him. She goes to a cafe. But she sees Chan with Genius outside the cafe. She tries to leave the cafe. But she bumps the waitress. Her clothes get dirty. She returns to the company. She has a meeting with Na-Na in the meeting room. She wants to quit the project. Na-Na wants to know the reason. Ha-Ran explains it to Na-Na that she thinks she lacks the necessary skills. But Na-Na stops her granddaughter. She asks her to prove it to her.
Chan takes Genius to Shim Coffee House. He doesn’t see Ha-Ran. He keeps buying things. He takes it home. Man-Jae asks Genius why Chan is so busy.
Tae-Suk is going to be off duty. But Ha-Young calls him. She asks him to save her. He goes to the store to pay the bill for her. She hands over the snack to him. She explains it to him that she didn’t pay because she didn’t take her cell phone. She mentions he picked up the phone at the company. She praises him. She gets a call from her friend Cai Yuan. She’s told that there’s a blind date. The guy saw Ha-Young’s photo. He asked Ha-Young’s friend to introduce Ha-Young to him. He said that Ha-Young is his type. Ha-Young says that she will only become friends with the guy even if she goes on the blind date. But she thinks it’s different after she saw the guy’s photo. She shows Tae-Suk the guy Cha Min’s photos. She asks him what he thinks. But he’s not sure.
The next day, Na-Na studies the role Chan designed at home. She remembers Ha-Ran wanted to quit. She wonders if the two got into an argument. Ha-Young walks out of her room. She tells Ha-Ran that she’s going to go on a blind date. Na-Na thinks the two are swindlers. She mentions Ha-Ran is flirting with Chan. But Ha-Ran is at home. Ha-Young claims that she didn’t trick Na-Na. She reminds Ha-Ran that she’s going to date Chan. She takes her away.
Ha-Young drags Ha-Ran out of the house. Ha-Ran thinks her sister acted impulsively. Ha-Young reminds Ha-Ran that Na-Na’s list not just Photographer Yoon. She asks her to hang out and return home. She thinks she can go to Shim Coffee House. Ha-Ran says that she cannot go to the coffee house. She decides to go to the company. Ha-Young reminds Ha-Ran that Na-Na will check entry and exit records. She gets a call from Cha Min. She runs away.
Ha-Ran tries to leave the cafe. But she sees Chan. She’s flustered to go to have a seat. But the man who sits with her asks her who she is. He claims that he has a girlfriend. She runs out of the cafe.
Ha-Ran designs a piece of clothing on the sand. She notices that Chan is playing football with the kids. She tries to flee. But she’s hit by the football. He apologizes to her. In the evening, Ha-Ran tries to leave the bus stop. But she runs into Chan. He tries to give the lemon to her. But he notices that she doesn’t cough anymore. She tries to walk away. But a motorcycle is heading toward her. He protects her. But they fall down together. Her hand is hurt. He tries to check her wound. But she rejects it. He plans to take her to a hospital. He reminds her that she’s a designer. She complains it to him that she feels uneasy because he pretended that they’re close. She couldn’t go to the coffee house because of him. She cannot avoid him all day. So she tells him that she hates it that someone gets into her normal life. She asks him not to make any variable. He understands it. He promises her that he will only stand beside her. He asks her to go to a hospital with him.
At the hospital, the doctor tells Ha-Ran that it’s a grade 1 sprain. Her connective tissue was irritated. She should try her best not to move her wrist within two weeks. The nurse puts on the wrist guard for Ha-Ran. She tells her that she can take it off after three days.
Chan waits for Ha-Ran in the hallway. He feels guilty. He and Ha-Ran walk out of the hospital. He apologizes to her. He doesn’t expect that what he did caused a big burden to her. He asks her to come to the coffee house. He volunteers to move out if she feels uneasy. He will pretend nothing happened at the company. He won’t make her worry about it. He opens the door of the taxi for her. She gets in the taxi. She leaves.
Ha-Ran returns home. She gets a call from Man-Jae. He mentions she didn’t come to his cafe. He worries about her. She explains it to him that she was very busy. She will come to the cafe again after she takes care of it. She hears Chan’s voice. She remembers Man-Jae told her that Chan is a good guy. But Chan decided to move out because of her.
At Shim Coffee House, Man-Jae notices that the plant is sick after he moved into the coffee house. He thinks he needs time to adapt to the sudden changes. Chan worries that the plant cannot adapt it all the time. Man-Jae tells Chan that the plant will die. Chan helps Man-Jae clean the window.
Yoo-Gyum leaves the school. He’s on the way to see Ha-Dam. But a car is driving toward him. Ha-Dam runs out of the convenience store. She looks for her boyfriend. He waves at her. She sits on the ground. He runs to her. He asks her what happened to her. She cries. She brings up that she just heard the clang over the phone. He explains it to her that he went to help when someone was in danger. The person he helped is fine. He promises her that he won’t make her worry about him. He mistakes that she dislikes him. But she tells him that she likes him more than before. She reveals her grandma asked her to take him home. He’s flustered. He wonders if he needs to change his shoes. But she asks him to go to eat something with her. She’s hungry after she ran over.
Ha-Ran arrives at the office. Chan is performing magic. He makes a lot of candy. Ha-Young wants to learn the magic. He comforts her that he will send the video to the group after the meeting. Ha-Ran returns to her office. She draws the curtains.
Ha-Ran has a meeting with Chan. She wonders if she overreacted it that he’s going to be close to other teammates. Na-Na asks Chan to choose some danqing materials for the role. He reveals he plans to visit some palaces for studying danqing. He will take a lot of photos. She asks Ha-Ran to go with Chan. She thinks she should do something since she wants to prove it. Ha-Ran claims that she needs to discuss fabrics in tomorrow’s meeting. She needs to go to the factory. Na-Na asks Ha-Ran to send Jeremy to the factory. Jeremy volunteers to go to the palace. But Na-Na glares at him. Chan wants to change the day for Ha-Ran. But she rejects it. Because it’s work. He asks her to give him some time about his moving out. He didn’t tell it to Man-Jae. He leaves the meeting room.
Tae-Suk walks out of his office. He sees Ha-Young receiving flowers. He learns that Cha Min bought her a meal, and he gave her flowers. The language of the flower is that she’s pretty. She cannot have lunch with the colleagues because she needs to see the guy. Tae-Suk meets the client at the hotel. He sees Cha Min giving the flower to the girl. He recognizes Cha Min immediately because he saw his photo ever.
Ha-Ran waits for Chan outside the palace. The guy shows up with hanbok. He explains it to her that he heard that he can get into the palace for free as long as he wears the clothes. They walk into the palace. They take some danqing photos. Many people take photos with Chan. Because he wears the king’s clothes. He goes to get changed. Ha-Ran leaves after someone called her. Chan comes back. He finds out that Ha-Ran is missing. Someone calls her.
Chan finds Ha-Ran in a pavilion. She whips away her tears. She offers to leave. But he believes that something happened. She reveals she heard that someone called her. She followed the voice. She found the woman. But the woman wasn’t her mother.
Ha-Ran was very happy when the woman called her. Chan remembers Ha-Ran called him when he was in the ward. He knows her feelings. She apologizes to him. She thinks she acted overly sensitive. He did nothing wrong. But she was mean to him. She knows she was bad and rude. She wants to change herself. But she doesn’t want to do. She says that it’s very hard to her that being close to someone. She doesn’t want to experience it anymore that losing someone without any preparation. But it happened again. So she ran away in advance. Because she will break down if it happens the third time. It won’t happen at least if she doesn’t have someone in her heart. She built a protective net for protecting herself. But she’s trapped into the protective net. Ha-Ran and Chan realize that they didn’t take their bags. They run away.
At Nana Kim Atelier, Tae-Suk runs into Ha-Young in the elevator. She tries to invite Cha Min to the company. But Tae-Suk informs her that Na-Na is summoning her. She mistakes that she did something wrong. She visits Na-Na. But Na-Na isn’t in the office.
Ha-Ran and Chan are on the way to the company in the evening. They run into the kid Dong Jiu. The kid asks Chan to show him his football skill. Chan does it. The kid is happy to leave. Chan receives a message from Jeremy. Jeremy asks Chan about playing bowling. Ha-Ran thinks Chan is a capybara. Because he can only be satisfied after he’s close to everyone. She leaves.

Chan stops Ha-Ran. He wants to make it clearly. He tells her that he approached her because he wants to save her. He was the one who wanted to die. But someone saved him. So he wants to do the same thing to her.
Ha-Ran buys Chan a drink. She throws the drink at him. She brings up that he couldn’t drink the drink because of her. She tells him that she wants him to teach her how to run away from winter. She agrees to let him be nice to her. He shakes hands with her.
