Yuji washes the blood off his hands in a room in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 episode 1. He jumps off the building. He tries to flee. But the monster doesn’t forgive Yuji. He turns into a guy Yuta who holds a sword. He tries to stab Yuji with the sword. Fortunately, Yuji grabs the sword. His eye isn’t hurt.
In Zen’in family, Naoya is on the way to go to see his uncle. He wonders if Maki is dead. The lady suggests that Naoya should worry about the master. She reveals Maki is dying. Naoya doesn’t care for Maki at all. He mentions the girl is pretty. But she has a bad temper. He thinks Maki’s sister Mai did a good job. Mai knows she’s a girl even if she likes to put on a brave face.
Naoya arrives at his uncle’s room. Ogi scolds his nephew for his late. Naoya apologizes to Ogi. But he thinks he doesn’t have to come. He points out that he will be the next head of Zen’in family. He mentions his brothers are all useless and his uncle is unremarkable. He thinks Jinichi is ugly.
Ogi and Jinichi try to kill Naoya. Naoya asks the two to forgive him. He reminds them that his father is going to die. The lawyer walks into the room. He informs the three that the master Naobito passed away. He reads the will of Naobito since those guys are there.
Naoya is told that Megumi will be the new master of Zen’in family, according to the contract. He’s angry to walk out of the meeting room. He blames Ogi and Jinichi for letting a kid be the master. He wonders what Megumi is doing. The lady doesn’t know. She heard that Megumi is searching Yuji in Tokyo. Yuji is the vessel of the powerful Curse Ryomen Sukuna. Naoya decides to kill Megumi and Yuji.
Yuji sits on the stairs in a building. Choso finds Yuji. He asks him about his injuries. Yuji reveals the injuries recover except the one that was hit by the black flash. He guesses it was affected by Sukuna. He can feel that Sukuna’s power gets stronger. Choso persuades Yuji not to care for him. He asks him to return to Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School. Yuji tells Choso that he doesn’t care for him. He mentions Sukuna is using Megumi. He killed many people. He cannot stay together with his friends anymore.
Yuji wonders if Choso minds it. He reminds him that he killed his brothers. Choso has forgiven Yuji after knowing it was an accident. He thinks his brothers would do the same thing if they were Yuji.
Yuji and Choso walk out of the building. Yuji fights the curse spirits. He draws the spirits to Choso. Choso kills the spirits with one hit. Yuji knocks down the giant spirit. Choso finds out that Yuji could control his power well. He praises Yuji. He thinks he’s his brother. Yuji complains it to Choso that he kept saying so. But Choso doesn’t plan to stop. He wants Yuji to recall it. He believes that there’s suture on the forehead of Yuji’s father.
Naoya shows up. He complains that Megumi doesn’t come. Yuji is told that Naoya plans to kill Megumi. Naoya attacks Yuji suddenly. Choso tries to help Yuji. But he’s beaten by Naoya. Choso and Yuji team up. Naoya cannot hurt them. He realizes that he underestimated the two. He believes that he can win as long as he speeds up.
Yuta shows up. Naoya recognizes Yuta. He knows Yuta is the executioner of Yuji. He speaks out Yuta’s name. Yuji remembers Yuta is a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer like Gojo. Yuta doesn’t know who Naoya is. Naoya introduces himself as Maki’s cousin to Yuta. He tells Yuta that their goal is the same. He was asked to kill Yuji.
Choso knows they’re not Yuta and Naoya’s rivals. He persuades Yuji to flee with him. He knows Naoya is a speed type sorcerer. He volunteers to hold the guy back. Naoya comforts Yuta that he won’t obstruct him. He asks him not to report it to his boss after he murders Yuji. Because he wants to use Yuji to make someone show up. Yuji worries about Choso after knowing Choso plans to hold Naoya back. But Choso thinks he will be fine. He reminds Yuji that Yuta and Naoya want to kill him. He persuades him to run away from Yuta. He knows Yuji will die if he fights Yuta.
Naoya feels regret for telling Yuji and Choso that he wants to kill Megumi. Choso does it for making Yuji not fight human. Yuta agrees to leave Choso to Naoya.
The fight begins. Yuji tries to flee. But Yuta follows Yuji. Choso uses Blood Manipulation to help Yuji. But it’s seen through by Naoya. Naoya needs time to use Blood Manipulation again. So he cannot hurt Naoya. Naoya reminds Choso that he will die. Choso doesn’t plan to let Naoya live. Because Naoya hurt his brother.
Yuta tries to cut Yuji in the theater. But Yuji dodges it. Yuta fights Yuji. He knocks him out of the theater. He mentions he’s not a strength type. Yuji points out that strength isn’t important at all. He knows Yuta has a great cursed power. He finds out that the guy strengthens his body with the cursed power. It makes up for the shortcomings of strength.
Yuji knows everyone does it. Yuta reveals his cursed power is more than Gojo. But Gojo has the Six Eyes. So he doesn’t have to spend cursed power. Yuji knows Yuta is a powerful rival. But he doesn’t want to lose. He grabs a knife from a car. He breaks off Yuta’s sword. Yuta figures it out that he shouldn’t deal with Yuji with ordinary methods. Because Yuji is Gojo’s student. Yuji is hurt. But he thinks he can run away. He tries to flee. He’s caught by the cursed spirit Rika. Yuta walks to Yuji. He stabs him with the broken sword. He apologizes to him.
Megumi goes missing after Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. Yuji begins his journey to look for his best friend. He believes that Megumi is controlled by Sukuna. He knows Sukuna will lead his friend astray. He takes action with Choso. Choso was Yuji’s enemy. He suspected Yuji killed his two brothers. He gave Yuji a hard time ever. But Choso is loyal to Yuji. He has a hunch that Yuji is his brother. But Yuji doesn’t accept the brother. But it doesn’t stop Choso from protecting Yuji. He’s ready to sacrifice when he faces the formidable foe Naoya.
Naoya believes that he will be the next head of Zen’in family. He looks down on Ogi and Jinichi. He pays price for his contempt. The two support Megumi to replace Naoya. Naoya realizes that his position will be taken away by Megumi if the guy comes back to Zen’in family. He decides to take the initiative. He knows Megumi is looking for Yuji in Tokyo. He goes to Tokyo for killing the two. But he only finds Yuji. He cannot kill the boy because Choso guards Yuji. Naoya is very luck. Yuta shows up when the fight reaches a stalemate. He makes a deal with Naoya after knowing they have the same goal.
Yuta is sent to kill Yuji. He’s a powerful sorcerer. He catches Yuji when Naoya takes care of Choso. But his intention is unclear. Because he says sorry to Yuji when he stabs him. It seems that he wants to make Yuji’s enemies believe that he killed Yuji. But he’s actually there to help Yuji.
Yuji is helpless in the episode. He lost his teacher Gojo. He would have a good chance of winning if Gojo is there. Gojo was sealed by Geto in season 2. He cannot leave the barrier. But the knowledge he taught Yuji is in the boy’s brain. Yuji makes a final stand even if he’s killed at the end of the episode. He proves that he’s a good student. Gojo will feel gratified if he knows what Yuji does.
The story of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 hasn’t unfolded yet. We all know that Yuji will come back to life in episode 2. Because the boy is the key role killing Sukuna. Episode 1 makes the death of Yuji for creating suspense. But we aren’t silly. The anime underestimates our intelligence like Naoya underestimated Yuji and Choso.

Megumi doesn’t show up in the entire episode. But everything is about him. Naoya wants to find Megumi and kill him. Yuji wants to find Megumi and save him from Sukuna. Megumi might hide somewhere with Sukuna. I don’t believe that Megumi will turn evil since he’s a good boy like Yuji. Yuji resisted Sukuna ever. Megumi can do the job as well. Because he’s stronger than Yuji.
