A truck drives on the road in the evening in Landman Season 2 episode 4. It hits the car at the rig. There’s a person in the car. Ariana drinks alone outside the bar. She sees her colleague walking out of the bar. The guy joins her. He wonders how much money she got. She checks her money in her pocket immediately. He persuades her to go to the office to check the money. She wonders if she needs to tip the bartenders. He admits it. He expresses that he wants to see her. She rejects him because she needs to take care of her baby.
Ariana drives home. She sees Cooper falling asleep outside her house. She gets off her car. She walks to him. She wakes him up. She asks him to explain why he’s at her house. He reveals he came to take her coat. She wonders why he didn’t take the coat because he has the house key. He mentions she kicked him out of her house. So he didn’t do that. She mentions he slept on her porch like a stalker. She wonders if what he did is right. He claims that he called her. But she didn’t pick up his phone.
Cooper follows Ariana into the house. He gets his coats. He mentions she works at the bar. He thinks the place isn’t good. She mistakes that he needs the coat for a meeting. But she’s told that her grandma passed away. She feels sorry. But he thinks it’s fine. Because he and his grandma aren’t close. He thinks he should hold a funeral for his grandma. He reveals the funeral will be in Panhandle. She goes to get changed. She mentions he accompanied her. She thinks it’s her turn. He mentions what he said that he and his grandma aren’t close. It promotes her to think that he doesn’t want her to go to the funeral. He confesses it to her that he needs her. He’s told that she didn’t want him to leave.
Cami visits Monty at the cemetery. She brings the wine to him. She shows him the ring she found. She confesses her feelings to him. But it’s too late. He’s gone. Rebecca is going to board the plane. She gets a call from the cop. She’s told that her truck hit a car. The driver is dead. She thinks it’s not a good news.
Rebecca sits with the guy Charlie on the plane. Charlie doesn’t mind it because it’s not his plan. The captain suggests that Rebecca should fasten her seat belt because it’s pretty windy. She accepts the suggestion. She reveals she’s afraid of flying. The plane takes off. She wonders what it is. She didn’t experience it before. Charlie reveals it’s called a TRT standing takeoff. They do it when there’s a headwind. Rebecca learns that she will feel jolt. She screams it happens. Charlie comforts the lady that they won’t die. He persuades her to grab his knee. He laughs after she was fine. The captain shows up. He brings a bad news to Rebecca that she will experience the jolt again until their descent. Charlie hands over the drink to Rebecca. She tastes it. She’s told that it’s vodka and watermelon juice. She worries that she will be hangover. He thinks the hangover will be gone by noon because he’s an oilfield worker.
Tommy and Angela are on the way to the funeral. Angela finds out that the music stops. She figures out the reason why she wanted to leave her husband. She’s excited to talk with her daughter about the song. But she notices that Tommy’s followers are serious. Tommy points out that they’re going to go to attend a funeral. But Angela wants to be happy on the road. He scolds her. But she’s tough. She thinks they will just bury another person. Nate laughs. Angela mistakes that the guy supports her. But he denies it. She calls him Neil instead of Nate. She asks him to explain his name for her. He tells her that he likes the song she just sang.
Cooper arrives at the funeral home with Ariana. Norris notices the girl. He thinks Ariana isn’t Cooper’s sister. She shakes hands with him. She feels sorry for his loss. But he reveals he lost his wife years ago. He just came to say goodbye to his wife. He lets her sit down. He thinks his grandson doesn’t deserve the pretty girl. She laughs. She claims that she’s not Cooper’s girlfriend. He mentions she accompanied the man she doesn’t like to the funeral. She confesses it to him that she did it the first time. He thinks she’s smarter than his grandson. Tommy and his people show up. Norris welcomes Angela and Ainsley. But he’s rude to Tommy’s men. He knows his son doesn’t like his mother at all. They agree to bury the old lady. So they will resolve the problem.
Norris takes the people to attend the funeral. The priest asks Norris to give a speech. But Norris refuses to do that. Because he doesn’t want the priest to hear his words. The people go to the restaurant to have lunch after the funeral. Norris orders two hot dogs. He reveals he doesn’t have a home because it was burned down. Ariana thinks they should talk about the dead. She persuades Tommy to say something. Tommy reveals his mother beat him after he saved her from the bathtub. He thought he was bullied because his father was too weak. He returned to the town to celebrate the death of his mother. Tommy leaves the restaurant. Norris reveals he thought his wife was beautiful when she chased the rainbows. He expected to see the rainbows again. But it never came back.
Angela joins Tommy outside the restaurant. She persuades her husband to go to say goodbye to his father. She thinks he didn’t hear the rainbows story. But he has heard it. So he refuses to say goodbye to his father. Ariana and Cooper give Norris a hug. Tommy asks Cooper to come to his house. Because he thinks they need a talk. Ariana tells Cooper that she understands him after she experienced it. Those guys leave Norris’s place. The plane is going to land. But Rebecca isn’t afraid of the jolt anymore after she drank.
Cami wakes up at home. She decides to sell the house. She meets Danny and his wife at a restaurant. She wants Danny to help her drill the well. But he refuses to work with her. Because she’s woman. He claims that he’s a snake. He wants to eat other snakes. She’s not his rival. He wants to meet Tommy. Because he’s an eagle.
Cooper takes Ariana home in the evening. She thinks he’s a good person. She invites him into her house. She teaches him to make her forgive him after she kicks him out of her house. He realizes that he can do nothing without her help. She lets him get her. Because he’s a suitable boyfriend.
The oilfield worker Jerrell is sent to the hospital after the accident. He finds out that he cannot see anything after he accepted the treatment. He’s anxious because he cannot work if he doesn’t resolve the problem. He summons the doctor when his boss tries to comfort him.
Tommy returns home. He sees his daughter Ainsley crying when she watches the movie in the living room. He wonders what happened. She mentions he saved her grandma. But her grandma kicked his face. She wants to give her grandma a lesson. He comforts her that his mother wouldn’t go to heaven. He explains it to her that his mother hurt him because she lost her daughter ever. He’s surprised that she cried for him. He gives her a kiss. Tommy returns to his room. His wife persuades him to be nice to his father. She thinks his father knew his mistake. He agrees to do something for his father. But he wants to know her plan. She closes the door. We hear his roar. It’s obvious that he’s dissatisfied with the plan.
The next day, Rebecca wakes up in Charlie’s room. She learns that the guy slept with her last night when she was drunk. Charlie shows up. He expresses that he was very happy when he touched Rebecca. He allows her to use his bathroom. Because he belongs to her. He suggests that she should use the aroma therapy pod before she takes a shower.
Tommy visits Norris. Norris is surprised that his son came to see him. Tommy reveals he did it for flattering his wife. He asks his father to go home. He reminds him that he won’t get second chance. Norris wants to go home. But he thinks he doesn’t deserve it. Because his son was hurt because of him. But Tommy thinks it’s not important. Because his father is aged. He decides not to dwell on the past.
