Woo-Hae hugs Je-Yeon at the coffee shop in My Youth episode 2. He tells her that he missed her. She stops him from leaving. She asks him to buy her a drink. The two are on the way to the restaurant. They talk about the flower. Je-Yeon buys bouquet of flowers. She leaves. Woo-Hae runs into his father. His father asks him to take care of the little girl Nu-Ri. He flees. Woo-Hae wants to go to chase his father. But the little girl holds his hand.

Woo-Hae takes Nu-Ri home. He cooks the ice cake soup for her. He allows her to call him brother because he’s older than her. She shows him the painting. He learns that she doesn’t know how to speak Korean. Woo-Hae works in the store. He tells Geon-No that he decides to raise Nu-Ri. He returns home. He helps the little girl study. She puts a doll in his arms when he falls asleep.
Woo-Hae works for a motel. The motel owner asks him to call her sister. He returns home. He runs into the guy Seok-Joo. Seok-Joo reveals his mother planned to marry Woo-Hae’s father. He asks Woo-Hae to play the victim when his mother visits him. But Woo-Hae rejects it.
Seok-Joo returns home for taking his notebook. He runs into Woo-Chan. He brings up Woo-Hae. He leaves the house. A beautiful lady Pil-Du visits Woo-Hae’s store. She buys a pack of cigarettes. Woo-Hae learns that she’s his father’s fiancee. She helped him arrange a better school. He doesn’t thank her and he’s rude to her. She doesn’t get angry because she got his father.
Woo-Hae goes to a new school. He falls asleep in the classroom. Je-Yeon recognizes him when the teacher calls him. Seok-Joo wakes Woo-Hae up. He tries to have a talk with Je-Yeon. But she doesn’t like him because he concealed a knife in his smiling. She finds out that Woo-Hae left. She asks Seok-Joo about him and Woo-Hae’s relationship. But he mentions what she said that she doesn’t know him. She gets angry. Woo-Hae works at the restaurant. Geon-No celebrates Woo-Hae’s birthday. But Woo-Hae blows out the candles without making a wish.
Woo-Hae takes Je-Yeon to Geon-No’s restaurant. He begins to work. He notices that she’s talking with someone over the phone. He learns that the girl is very busy. She takes a look at him when he’s cleaning the table. She remembers the teacher asked her to give the aspiration form to Woo-Hae.
Je-Yeon finds Woo-Hae’s house. She waits for him until he returns with his sister in the evening. She gives the aspiration form to him. She’s hungry. So he cooks noodles for her. She tastes the noodles. She finds out that it’s delicious. Nu-Ri falls asleep. Woo-Hae carries his sister to her room. Je-Yeon learns that Woo-Hae wishes to be a rich man.
Je-Yeon and Woo-Hae wait for the bus at the bus stop. She suggests that he should sleep in the school. So he can graduate. He thinks she’s the only person who cares for him except Geon-No. It promotes her to wonder who’s Geon-No.
Geon-No helps the customers check out. But his hand is hurt by the cactus. He asks Woo-Hae to take away the cactus. But Woo-Hae thinks Geon-No was too careless. He brings the food to Je-Yeon. Because she only ordered drinks. A fire suddenly breaks out at the restaurant. Je-Yeon carries a fire extinguisher. So she puts out the fire with the fire extinguisher. Woo-Hae holds a bottle of water when he looks at Je-Yeon. He thinks they could resolve the problem with the water. But Geon-No asks Woo-Hae to clean the restaurant. Because Je-Yeon is Woo-Hae’s friend.
The classmates spread the rumor that Woo-Hae entered the motel. Je-Yeon scolds the classmates. Woo-Hae meets with the teacher in the office. She suggests that he should choose a special school. He walks out of her office. Je-Yeon is waiting for him. She learns that he doesn’t plan to go to college. She follows him. He gives her a lollipop. He tells her that it’s the dessert. She’s very happy.
Je-Yeon finds Woo-Hae. She notices that he’s eating a bread. She persuades him to eat nutritious meals in the school. But he’s broke. He reveals he slept in the infirmary. She asks him to give the star stickers to his sister. He asks her about her dream. Because she’s a shining person in his mind. She’s shy to push him over. The Vice Principal slaps Woo-Hae after knowing the boy went to the motel with a girl. He gives him a punishment.
Je-Yeon worries about Woo-Hae. So she follows him to the motel. She runs into Seok-Joo. Woo-Hae shows up. Seok-Joo tells Woo-Hae that Je-Yeon wondered why he came to the motel. He leaves. Je-Yeon gives a drink to Woo-Hae. She cheers him up. He reveals he worked for the motel.
Woo-Hae returns home. Woo-Chan is waiting for his son. He tells Woo-Hae that his aunt will repay the debts for them. He wishes him to live with them. But Woo-Hae brings up Nu-Ri. Woo-Chan plans to send the little girl to orphanage. Woo-Hae gets angry. Woo-Chan reminds his son his illness. But Woo-Hae prefers to die.
The next day, Woo-Hae helps Nu-Ri tie her hair. She asks him to take her to the amusement park. They arrive at the amusement park. She asks him to buy her an ice cream then. He goes to buy ice cream. He returns and he finds out that she’s missing. He manages to find her. She hid in the restroom because she knew he suffered because of her. He cries to hug his sister. Woo-Hae is outside the motel. He looks at the star in the sky. The motel owner reveals the star he’s looking at is an artificial satellite.
Je-Yeon leaves the restaurant. She sees the artificial satellite. Woo-Hae asks her not to leave. Because she doesn’t pay the bill. He tries to take her wallet. But she walks away. Woo-Hae walks into the classroom. He sleeps on the desk. Je-Yeon finds him. She sleeps on the desk like him. She looks at him. He wakes up and he greets her.
Je-Yeon accompanies Woo-Hae to the bank. He receives some money from Pil-Du. He tells Je-Yeon that he doesn’t want to use the money for his pride. But she persuades him to use the money. She offers to go to the bookstore. The two go to the bookstore. They find out that his book has been published. She buys one of his books. They go to the park. She takes out a pen and two wish wristbands. She gives the wristbands to him. She asks him to sign his name in the book. She flatters him when he signs it.
Woo-Hae is told that Je-Yeon likes sea. He remembers a conch climbed on his hand when he was on the beach. Je-Yeon offers to go to see the sea. They get on the bus. She shares a song with him. They arrive at the seaside. He buys her a bouquet of flowers. They run to the beach. Je-Yeon and Woo-Hae walk along the beach. She confesses her feelings to him. She tries to kiss him. But he blocks her mouth. He tells her that he’s not a good boy. She’s furious to throw away the flowers. She leaves the beach.
Woo-Hae takes the flowers home. Nu-Ri comforts her brother. Woo-Hae reveals he likes the girl. The next day, Je-Yeon goes to the school. The classmate informs Je-Yeon that her family is over. Je-Yeon leaves the school in the evening. Her mother comes to pick her up. Je-Yeon and her mother are in the car. She cries after her mother admitted that their family will be over.
Je-Yeon cannot study. She goes to the motel to see Woo-Hae. The lady asks the boy to enter the motel. Je-Yeon mistakes that Woo-Hae told a lie to her. But she’s told that the lady is the owner of the motel. She yells at Je-Yeon because she thinks he used his boss’s money. He suggests that she shouldn’t waste her time on him. She blames him for not kissing her.
Je-Yeon kisses Woo-Hae. He asks her not to come to see him. She promises it and she’s angry to leave. He tastes the drink that she gave him. He finds out that it’s sweet. Je-Yeon eats the ice cream at Woo-Hae’s restaurant. She drinks with him because she thinks they grew up. He brings up the show she invited him to attend. He’s told that she went to a college. But she needed to receive a scholarship. She’s drunk. Woo-Hae carries Je-Yeon to the taxi stop. He agrees to attend her show. They sit on the bench on the beach. They look at each other under the setting sun.
