At BS Food, Yoon-Seong walks out of the company building in Our Universe episode 8. He follows Hyun-Jin with a smile. He notices that she’s excited. But it’s raining suddenly. So he walks to her with an umbrella. She wonders why he’s there. He tells her that he has liked her in the past seven years. He doesn’t want to watch her from behind her.
In the house, Tae-Hyeong puts the candle into the cake. He teaches Woo-Joo that he should applaud after Hyun-Jin comes back. He calls Hyun-Jin. She tells him that she will be late. He mistakes that she needs to work overtime. She denies it. She reveals she has an appointment. He remembers Yoon-Seong asked his goddess out. He realizes that she’s with Yoon-Seong. She takes a look at Yoon-Seong. She admits it.
Hyun-Jin and Yoon-Seong eat steak at a restaurant. Yoon-Seong tells Hyun-Jin that she doesn’t have to give him an answer immediately. He confesses it to her that he wanted to make a more perfect moment. But he worried that he will hesitate. He offers to date three times if she’s not sure. He asks her not to treat him as her boss. Just treating him as a man. She agrees.
Yoon-Seong drives Hyun-Jin home. He holds the umbrella for her after she got off his car. She agrees to date him after the presentation report. But she wants to treat him to something delicious this time. He tries to give his umbrella to her. She claims that she has an umbrella at home. But he thinks his umbrella is larger. She can hold the umbrella with Woo-Joo. She accepts the umbrella. Hyun-Jin returns home. She goes to Tae-Hyeong’s room. She finds out that the guy falls asleep. She remembers Yoon-Seong’s confession.
The next day, Yoon-Seong and Gyu-Jung leave the office. We go to a cafe. Yoon-Seong tries to tell a story of his friend to Gyu-Jung. Gyu-Jung is surprised that the team leader has a friend. Because he thought he’s a workaholic. Yoon-Seong says that his friend has a worry. Gyu-Jung learns that it’s an emotional counseling. He likes to do emotional counseling. Yoon-Seong’s friend confessed his feelings to the girl he likes. But the girl felt uneasy. Gyu-Jung guesses the girl doesn’t want to get together with the man. It’s possible that she might nervous. Yoon-Seong prefers the latter. But Gyu-Jung thinks it’s not a good sign. He wonders if the girl treats the person as a man. Yoon-Seong reveals his friend felt rather uneasy because the girl was easy when she was with another man. She didn’t do so to his friend. Gyu-Jung guesses the girl wanted to make a good impression on the person. Yoon-Seong wonders if it’s a good thing. But Gyu-Jung cannot promise it. Yoon-Seong learns that Gyu-Jung is playing him. Because the guy told him that it’s a good sign. Gyu-Jung explains it to Yoon-Seong that everyone is different.
Se-Yeon and Hyun-Jin have meal at the restaurant. Se-Yeon mentions what she told Hyun-Jin that Yoon-Seong has feelings for her. She thinks she’s very lucky. She thinks it’s her peak because two men confessed their feelings to her. She persuades her to date Yoon-Seong first. But Hyun-Jin felt really awkward when she faced Yoon-Seong. Se-Yeon thinks it’s not a big deal. She mentions Hyun-Jin opened her heart to Tae-Hyeong. But Hyun-Jin couldn’t confess to Yoon-Seong because of a minor matter. Hyun-Jin asks Se-Yeon not to compare her in-law with Yoon-Seong. She thinks she and her in-law saw each other’s good side and bad side. She guesses she could be herself because of the reason. But she couldn’t do it in front of Yoon-Seong. Because he’s too perfect. Se-Yeon thinks Hyun-Jin’s heart will find the answer soon.
Hyun-Jin returns home. She brings up that she saw Tae-Hyeong sleeping with Woo-Joo yesterday. He explains it to her that he did it because she came back very late. He wonders if she had a great time. She denies it. She asks him if he was waiting for her. She notices that he’s going to eat the noodles. She thinks he should have dinner. She tries to take the dish from the fridge. But she sees the cake. He tells her that the cake is for her. She’s surprised. Because it’s not her birthday. He mentions what she said that the presentation report is very important. She suffered a lot for preparing it. He heard that she won. He wanted to hold a party for her. She learns that he prepared a surprise. She thinks she would go straight home if he leaked it. She finds out that it’s a chocolate cake. She expresses that she likes chocolate cake. He gives the fork to her. She tastes the cake. She tells him that it’s delicious. He congratulates her, although it’s late. She thanks him. She thinks the vast majority of the credit goes to him. But he thinks he did nothing. She notices that he’s eating the noodles. She asks him to share some with her. She admits it to him that she came back after she was full. But she wants to have something spicy after eating sweets. He offers to cook a bag of noodles for her. But she rejects it. She only wants to take a bite. So he gives the noodles to her. She tastes the noodles. She finds out that it’s delicious. She thinks he’s good at cooking noodles. She tries to tie her hair. But he stops her. Because she said that she only takes a bite. She thinks he’s so cold-hearted. She wants to take another bite.
The next day, Tae-Hyeong goes to Ae-Ja’s house to pick up Woo-Joo. But he sees Gyu-Tae. He tries to take Woo-Joo away. But Gyu-Tae gives him a box of pear juice. The pear juice can help enhance Woo-Joo’s immunity. Woo-Joo drinks the pear juice at home. Tae-Hyeong remembers Ae-Ja praised Gyu-Tae. He asks Woo-Joo if he likes his grandpa. Woo-Joo admits it.
Hyun-Jin gets off the bus in the evening. She gets a call from Tae-Hyeong. He asks her to come home to take care of it. She returns home. She sees the insurance agent. She and Tae-Hyeong are told that they can get one hundred million won insurance compensation.
Hyun-Jin makes an excuse to go to buy diapers. She cries outside. Tae-Hyeong finds her. He brings up that she didn’t take her wallet since she wanted to buy diapers. He knows she’s sad. She blames the death insurance. She tears up. He hugs her to comfort her.
The next day, Hyun-Jin is in her office at BS Food. She’s going to go to Geluo Supermarket. But she doesn’t know which meal kit she should choose. At the company, Yoon-Seong reports to CEO that Geluo Supermarket signed the contract with them. CEO decides to choose the employee who can be regular.
The employees are off duty. They get into the elevator. But the elevator is too crowded. Yoon-Seong protects Hyun-Jin.
The next day, Yoon-Seong takes Hyun-Jin to a mountain. She’s with him in a pavilion. She looks at the landscape. She thinks it’s beautiful. He brings up that she stared at the screen. He wanted to heal her mind and body. She knows he trusted her and he gave her the chance. She thanks him. He claims that he can do anything for her as long as it’s for her. They go for a bike ride. They take photos together. He prepares a meal for her. She tastes the seaweed rice roll. It’s delicious. She gets him to taste it. She asks him why he joined BS Food. She thinks he could get a better job, according to his qualifications. He says that food is the key opening the door to his memory. She remembers it’s her words. He tells her that he feels the same way. He wants everyone to like cheap and delicious food.
The next day, Se-Yeon brings a good news to Hyun-Jin that she’s going to become a regular employee at BS Food. She heard it from the HR colleague. Hyun-Jin is moved. She sees Yoon-Seong. She gives Se-Yeon a hug. Yoon-Seong has a meeting with the team in the meeting room. Se-Yeon and Hyun-Jin are off duty. Se-Yeon offers to have a party. But Hyun-Jin needs to return home to take care of Woo-Joo. Se-Yeon reminds Hyun-Jin that she was cold to her. Tae-Hyeong persuades Hyun-Jin to go to the party with her friend. He thinks she should relax. Se-Yeon invites the guy to go to the party with them. She tells him that Hyun-Jin is going to be a regular employee. He blames Hyun-Jin for not telling it to him. Seung-Taek offers to go grab a beer. Hyun-Jin agrees.
Gyu-Tae and Woo-Joo eat grilled meat at Du-Sik’s house. Gyu-Tae notices that Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyeong don’t come home. Du-Sik reveals the two called him. They will be back late.
Hyun-Jin, Tae-Hyeong, Se-Yeon and Seung-Taek drink at a restaurant. The three congratulate Hyun-Jin. Hyun-Jin is very happy. Se-Yeon doesn’t know Seung-Taek. He introduces himself as Tae-Hyeong’s soulmate. She says that she’s Hyun-Jin’s soulmate as well.
Hyun-Jin keeps drinking. Tae-Hyeong worries that she will be drunk. Se-Yeon tells Tae-Hyeong that Hyun-Jin won’t be drunk in front of others. Hyun-Jin drank up the wine that the seniors gave her in the school. She returned home and she was drunk after she made sure that everyone returned home. Hyun-Jin admits that she was so before. Seung-Taek believes that Hyun-Jin is a good drinker. He clinks glasses with her. She denies it. She says that getting drunk makes her weak. She wants to rely on someone if she’s weak. Her bad side will be exposed once she relies on someone. She doesn’t like it. Se-Yeon reveals she has known Hyun-Jin for ten years. But she never saw the girl crying in front of her. But Tae-Hyeong says that Hyun-Jin never concealed herself. Se-Yeon is surprised that Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin drank together and they slept. Hyun-Jin is startled. She asks Se-Yeon not to be flamboyant there.
Tae-Hyeong and Hyun-Jin leave the restaurant. They walk on the street in the evening. Hyun-Jin feels a bit queasy. Because she ate too fast. She thinks she has indigestion. Tae-Hyeong gives her a treatment. He gets a call from someone. He takes Hyun-Jin to run.
At Du-Sik’s house, Woo-Joo is allergy after he ate the strawberry. Gyu-Tae helps Woo-Joo take a bath. Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyeong arrive. Hyun-Jin doesn’t know it when she’s asked if Woo-Joo is allergic to strawberries. Everyone praises Gyu-Tae. Because Gyu-Tae was the one who found out that Woo-Joo is allergic to strawberries.
Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyeong take Woo-Joo home. Woo-Joo falls asleep. Gyu-Tae decides to leave. Hyun-Jin thanks him. He asks her to take Woo-Joo to see a doctor if the kid feels uncomfortable. Tae-Hyeong notices the wallet Gyu-Tae left. He opens the wallet. He sees the family photo inside the wallet.
Outside the building, Tae-Hyeong runs to Gyu-Tae. He stops him. He hands over the wallet to him. He asks him why he carried the photo. He says that he was motivated when he saw the photo. Tae-Hyeong thanks his father.
Tae-Hyeong tries to sleep in his room. He remembers Gyu-Tae asked him to give him a chance. Hyun-Jin walks into the room. She gives Tae-Hyeong a cup of milk after she noticed that he was distraught. He says that he cannot sleep. She offers to not be able to sleep together.
The next day, Hyun-Jin takes Woo-Joo to a hospital. The doctor sees Woo-Joo. She comforts Hyun-Jin that the kid is only allergic to strawberries. Hyun-Jin takes Woo-Joo to leave the hospital. She buys him a snack. They run into Gyu-Tae when they’re on the way home. Gyu-Tae tells Hyun-Jin that Tae-Hyeong thanked him. She’s surprised. Gyu-Tae expresses that he wants to be a good father. He asks Hyun-Jin to help him.
Tae-Hyeong cleans the house at home. Hyun-Jin and Woo-Joo return home. Hyun-Jin tells Tae-Hyeong that she wants to buy Gyu-Tae a meal. She mentions Woo-Joo likes his grandpa as well. She claims that she won’t force him to join them. He agrees.
Gyu-Tae is outside Hyun-Jin’s house. Du-Sik sees Gyu-Tae. He wonders why he’s there. Gyu-Tae explains it to Du-Sik that Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyeong invited him. Du-Sik asks Gyu-Tae why he doesn’t get into the house. He thinks he’s suspicious. He rings the doorbell. Hyun-Jin opens the door. She lets Gyu-Tae in.
Gyu-Tae has dinner with Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyeong. Hyun-Jin takes Woo-Joo to go change the diaper. Tae-Hyeong asks Gyu-Tae why he abandoned him. Gyu-Tae explains it to Tae-Hyeong that he wanted to contact him. But Tae-Hyeong wasn’t there when Gyu-Tae returned home. Gyu-Tae heard it from Woo-Jin that Tae-Hyeong wanted to cut ties with the incompetent father. He didn’t want to be a father who only becomes a burden. He reminds Tae-Hyeong that he would get involved because he owed a lot of money. He pays it off now, otherwise he wouldn’t visit him. He apologizes to him. He wants to make up for what he did. He asks him to leave Woo-Joo to him. After all, they’re a family.
Tae-Hyeong drinks alone in his room after Gyu-Tae left. Hyun-Jin is outside the room. She remembers Gyu-Tae badmouthed Woo-Jin. She remembers Woo-Jin persuaded her to make up with her sister. He said that he cares for his brother.
The next day, Du-Sik walks out of the convenience store. He runs into two cops. He asks them about the thief. The cop reveals the thief claimed that he didn’t steal Hyun-Jin’s house. Hyun-Jin goes to the insurance company. The insurance agent tells Hyun-Jin that another guardian is interested in the insurance. Hyun-Jin returns home. She runs into Gyu-Tae and Woo-Joo. She’s surprised that Gyu-Tae went to pick up Woo-Joo. He explains it to her that he did it because Ae-Ja had back discomfort. He wants to drink a cup of water.

In the house, Hyun-Jin tries to get water for Gyu-Tae. But she finds out that he’s looking at the room. She admits it to him that nobody lives in the room. She realizes that he’s the guardian the insurance agent mentioned. She tries to ask him about something. But Tae-Hyeong returns home.
Gyu-Tae walks out of his dormitory. He talks with someone over the phone. He promises him that he will get money this time. Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyeong go out. But Hyun-Jin forgot to close the natural gas valve. Gyu-Tae sneaks into Hyun-Jin’s house. He finds the seal for the insurance. But Hyun-Jin returns home. She hears the sound coming from the room. She opens the door of the room. Gyu-Tae takes a glass cup. He tries to hit Hyun-Jin.
