Nobody expects that the fat uncle is the most powerful killer Taro Sakamoto in Sakamoto Days Episode 1. He could challenge the whole mafia alone. You shouldn’t judge him by the looks of getting fate in middle age. His close-quarters combat art is still sharp even if he has been retired for many years.

Sakamoto not only can catch bullets with his chopsticks but also he can turn any gun into scrap iron. All villains fear him and all killers worship him. But he walks into a convenience store after he was off duty. He falls for the salesgirl after he just took a look at her.
Everyone goes against it. But Sakamoto marries the girl and they have a baby. The heartless killer becomes a fat uncle. He and his wife run a convenience store in the town. He thinks he can continue the life. But a boy breaks the peace.
A kid visits Sakamoto’s store. He uses his brush to draw on the glass door. He claims that Sakamoto needs to give him a bottle of juice if he hits the target. The bad kid agrees on his own. But the ink drops from his schoolbag when he picks up the arrow.
He stains a customer’s pants. The customer is out of his mind. He grabs the little boy’s collar and he wants to give him a lesson. The scene startles Sakamoto’s wife. She asks her husband to help the little boy. Sakamoto appears in front of the man. He carries a pencil and he stabs the man’s neck.
Fortunately, it’s just Sakamoto’s illusion. But the man sees his death at that moment. He runs out of the store. Sakamoto doesn’t know what he thought has been aware by another yellow hair boy. The boy is Shin Asakura. He was Sakamoto’s follower before.
Shin is a superman who can read others minds. He came to the store for persuading his boss to be killer again. He thinks a top killer shouldn’t stay in the little store. But Sakamoto rejects Shin. Shin doesn’t understand it. Sakamoto was a killer god who made everyone fear. But he loses his style and he eats the no nutrition instant noodles.
Shin takes out a cigarette and he tries to calm down. But Sakamoto cuts off Shin’s cigarette. He reminds the guy that it’s not a place to smoke. Shin takes a look at the eyes that are full of killing intention. He’s sweating. He has a feeling that he will be killed by his previous boss. Fortunately, the neighbor who passes by helps Shin.
Shin mistakes that the neighbor wants to give a murder task to Sakamoto. But the neighbor just wishes Sakamoto to trim leaves for him. Shin watches on Sakamoto. He finds out that he just took care child for the neighbor. He thinks Sakamoto became a villager after he concealed his identity.
But young Shin cannot understand Sakamoto’s thoughts. He thinks Sakamoto is ridiculous. But he returns to his car and he thinks about Sakamoto’s looks. Sakamoto is handsome even if he’s fat. Shin wishes to team up with Sakamoto. The boss calls Shin. He asks him if Sakamoto agreed to work for him or not.
The boss sent Shin to kill Sakamoto. But Shin thinks Sakamoto won’t be a threat to the gang. Because Sakamoto is fat like a ball. But the boss doesn’t think so. Sakamoto left the gang on his own. It breaks the killer group’s rule. So there’re a lot of people wishing to take action even if Shin doesn’t take action. Shin has to hang up. He decides to take action because he doesn’t want others to kill his idol.
The next day, he goes to Sakamoto’s store. He finds out that only Sakamoto in the store. He takes action immediately. He’s a fool. He installs a silencer for his gun in front of Sakamoto’s wife. He can only be supporting rule with his IQ.
Shin walks into the store. He doesn’t shoot Sakamoto immediately. He chooses to say something like the killer on the TV. He tells Sakamoto that he wants to say goodbye to him before he leaves the town. He takes out his gun. But Sakamoto just spits out a candy. He throws an ice cream to Shin at the same time.
He hides behind the shelf when Shin reacts. Although Shin has super power, he cannot read Sakamoto’s mind because they’re in distance. Sakamoto begins his counterattack in the end. He opens a bag of candies and he makes a slingshot with a rubber band.
He shoots Shin with the candies. Sakamoto is actually the king of killer. The candy is more powerful than bullet. The food in the whole store can be his weapons. Shin eats up the ice cream. He decides to adjust his state. But Sakamoto doesn’t give any time to Shin. He appears behind him and he kicks him. It makes Shin pass out.
Shin wakes up. He sees the bandage on his body. Sakamoto’s wife and his child show up. Shin is actually on the second floor of the store. They’re waiting for Shin to have dinner. Shin mistakes that Sakamoto wants to poison him to death.
He claims that he did a lot of poison training. So he eats it. He’s moved after he tasted the food. He learns the reason why Sakamoto gained so much weight in the past five years. The food is delicious and warm. He never had the feelings in his killer career.
Shin tears up because he was moved. He understands the real reason why his big brother retired. The number one in the world isn’t important anymore because he has gotten the ordinary and warm moments. Shin decides to leave after he had dinner.
Sakamoto invites Shin to visit him next time when he sees him off. Shin returns to the group on his own. He’s scolded by the boss because he didn’t complete the task. Shin doesn’t talk back. He gets on knees to his boss. He asks him to forgive Sakamoto. Because he thinks Sakamoto has found his home.
But the boss thinks Sakamoto broke the rules of the industry. Because the guy gave up his duty. He thinks he shouldn’t keep the guy. Shin takes out his gun and he gets a gun on him. He wants to die for Sakamoto. Because he doesn’t wish to point the gun at the one he worships.
The boss doesn’t expect that Shin did so. He promises to forgive Sakamoto as long as Shin dies. He actually wants to kill Shin and Sakamoto. But he forgets Shin’s sense super power. The boss is exposed. He asks his followers to kill Shin.
Sakamoto opens his hidden room. There’re many weapons in the room. But he only chooses a stun gun. Meanwhile, Shin kills many killers with his mind reading super power. But his bullets are limited. He decides to rush out of the building. But the killer shoots him.
Shin is surrounded by the killers. Sakamoto appears with his stun gun. He stuns the killers who surrounded Shin. His coming startles the boss. The boss gives an order to his followers killing Sakamoto. Unfortunately, Sakamoto is too fast.
He takes out his weapon and he breaks down the rival’s gun. Catching bullet with bare hands is just little thing. Shin is shocked after he witnessed the scene. He wonders if it’s the real power of king of killers. Sakamoto found Shin because he set up a bug in Shin’s gun.

He did it for knowing the real location of Shin. Shin tries to thank Sakamoto. But Sakamoto throws an apron to Shin. Shin gets a chance to work with Sakamoto. But they’re just ordinary people in the store.
