Will kneels on the ground after he killed the monsters in Stranger Things Season 5 episode 5. He remembers Vecna told him that he chose the kids because they’re weak. His mother Joyce gives him a hug. She wonders what happened. Mike reveals Will is a sorcerer before Will explains it to Joyce. He praises Will for making it. Will mentions Vecna kidnapped the kids. Mike has known it that Derek, Mary and Glenn were taken away. But he’s told that Vecna kidnapped other kids as well. Those kids failed to escape from Hawkins.
Will regrets that he didn’t help the kids. It was too late when he took action. Vecna gets the twelve kids now. Will thinks they failed. A helicopter appears in the night sky. Will, Joyce and Mike pay attention to the helicopter. They flee.
The Demogorgon leaves the two kids to Vecna. Vecna blocks the kids’ mouths with two pipes. He transports a certain substance into their mouths. The twelve kids wake up in the field. Henry knows they don’t know how they came to the place. He tells the kids that he saved them before they were caught by the Demogorgons. He takes them to his home. It’s their home now. He tells them that they will be safe as long as they don’t get into the forest where the monsters live. He knows they want to know when their friends will join them.
Henry gathers the kids in a room. He tells a brutal truth to them that an evil darkness is spreading in the whole world. He takes out a book. He explains it to them that the darkness is like the black thing that they read in the books. He brings up that the black thing threatened Meg’s family. He thinks the darkness is threatening them as well. He reveals he came up with a way to defeat the darkness. The girl reacts. She asks the guy how he will defeat the darkness. It makes other kids look at her.
Henry stands up. He walks in the room. He reveals he discovered another world that is far from Earth. The world is like their world. It’s a good world without darkness and monsters. He reveals he chose them because they’re like Meg who has power in her brain. He believes that they can awaken the powers as long as they work together. He plans to draw the new world to their planet. He needs the kids’ powers. He bewitches them that the light will expel the darkness. They will be heroes.
Holly raises her hand when she has a question. She wonders if Henry is going to take more special kids there. Henry knows other kids don’t know Holly because they just came to the world. He explains it to them that Holly was the first one he chose. She was left there alone. He comforts them that he won’t leave. He asks them to go to take a break. Because they need to work tomorrow. The kids applaud. They look at Henry with hope. Nobody notices that Holly is nervous.
The metal door is cut open. The people get into the room where Kali stays. The captains mentions the soldier said that nobody left the room. The soldier sticks to his story. Because he received the report from the security guard. The captain learns that the soldier thinks those guys disappeared like Houdini. The soldier isn’t sure. The captain orders the soldiers to go to check the whole building. He leaves the room with the soldiers. Dr. Kay notices that Eleven’s hand is moving. She goes to touch the girl’s hand. But Kali disappears.
Kali wakes up in a car with Eleven and Hopper. Kali reveals she lost it before they’re far away from the building. Hopper comforts the girl that those guys cannot reach them before they’re far away enough. He praises her for her trick. He mentions what she taught Eleven. But she thinks she’s a bad influence.
Will, Joyce and Mike find Lucas in a cave. Mike notices that Lucas is serious injured. But Lucas claims that it’s just a scratch. Joyce is anxious to ask Mike for the first aid. He takes out a box of medicine from his bag. Lucas lifts his clothes. Will sees the injury. He thinks it’s not bad. Joyce dresses Lucas’s wound. Mike makes snide remarks that Lucas can leave a couple of cool scars. Lucas feels guilty that he didn’t protect the kids. But Will knows Lucas tried his best. He praises him for his swing. Lucas is surprised that Will saw it. He learns that Will killed the Demogorgons.
Lucas is on the way to leave the cave with the people. He thinks Will is a wise. Mike doesn’t think so. He thinks Will is a sorcerer. Lucas agrees with what Mike said. He thinks Will changed the game. He tells Mike that they got another Eleven. Will disagrees. Because he doesn’t have powers. He just stole Vecna’s powers. He needs to be close to hive mind for making it. Lucas worries that Vecna will come back. Will doesn’t think so. He mentions Vecna got the kids. He has enough vessels. Will reveals Vecna plans to reshape the world. Mike hopes Will’s theory is wrong. Joyce hears the word the first time. She’s interested in it. Lucas reveals November 6th was the day all it started. It will be the day it ends. Mike is the first one who leaves the cave. He helps Lucas. Because Lucas was injured. Will tries to climb the ladder. But Joyce stops him. She reveals she plans to get into the hive mind. She thinks her son can deal with Vecna. Will is moved to nod after knowing his mother trusts him.
Hopper arrives at the place where Will, Joyce and Mike stayed. He thinks it’s a miracle that those guys survived. He makes a joke. Eleven scolds the man. She thinks he won’t go home after he finds Vecna. She knows he lied to her. She mentions he didn’t allow her to take part in his crawls. She figures it out that he planned to kill Vecna on his own and die. He claims that he didn’t have a choice because she couldn’t fight. She brings up the bomb. He explains it to her that the bomb was for a fail-safe. She reveals she saw his plan in his eyes. She’s sad when she talks to him.
Kali stops the two of them from arguing. She reminds them that their friends are in the church. She takes them into the church. The four boys enter the lab for looking for the generator of Vecna’s shield. They believe that they couldn’t find Holly because of the shield. Steve asks Nancy to go upstairs with him. But Nancy rejects it. Steve has to team up with Henderson.
The kids have fun in Henry’s house. The girl is going to wear a new dress in the room. She wishes Holly can give her a suggestion. But Holly’s mind isn’t on the dress. She tells the girl that the dress is good to brush her off. The girl sees that Holly acts weird. Holly explains that she did it because she ate too much cake. She makes an excuse. She leaves the house. She meets her friend in the forest. She believes that Henry plans to destroy Earth. She thinks they should leave Camazotz. But her friend worries that Henry will catch them soon. She catches the boy Derek. Holly is furious to tell Derek that he’s a fool. But he doesn’t think so. He mentions there were many people liking him. He reveals he heard that the two girls want to flee. But they need to wait until Henry leaves. Derek brings up Vecna. The girl is surprised because they didn’t talk about Vecna. Derek reveals he and Mike are best friends. He speaks out other people’s names then. He says that they tried to save the others. But they failed. So he came. He thought he shouldn’t trust anyone. But he noticed Holly’s expression when Henry gave a speech. He realized that Holly is the guy’s hater. So he followed her into the forest. Derek wants to leave with Holly and her friend. The girl goes against it. She mentions they cannot flee as long as Henry watches them. Holly thinks Derek can help them escape. She suggests that Derek should give up the delightful style. He smiles after he heard her words.
Joyce gathers the people at home. She reveals she plans to get her son to defeat Vecna with the hive mind. She offers to build another telemetry thingy. They can find Eleven, Jonathan and the others with the telemetry thingy. Those guys can track on Vecna. But the problem is that Mike doesn’t know how to build the telemetry thingy. He reveals the stuff was built by Dustin. He thinks they can study it together. But they don’t have time. The girl comes up with an idea. She mentions Dustin isn’t with them. But they can ask the guy’s mentor Mr. Clarke to make the stuff for them. Lucas has a better idea. He offers to heat Will up and activate the particles. He mentions the particles in the Demogorgons are the same. There’re 50,000 watts flowing through the tower. He thinks they can use the tower. Joyce chooses both plans.
Back to the lab, Steve and Dustin go downstairs. Jonathan finds a ball. He mistakes it for the shield generator. Dustin gets angry. He decides to go to search the basement on his own. Jonathan and Nancy team up to search the shield generator upstairs. Jonathan thinks Dustin’s plan isn’t good. But Nancy doesn’t want to give up. He notices that she’s in anger. He guesses he offended her. He mentions her tone when she speaks to him. She explains it to him that she does so because he’s ridiculous. He realized that he was ridiculous downstairs as well. She wonders if what he means is he that he and Steve played the macho crap. He brings up that she hesitated when Steven invited her to leave with him. She points out that she suggested that they should stick to the usual. But he insists on thinking that she hesitated. She’s furious to yell at him. She claims that her sister is missing. He yells at her back. He reminds her that they should be in a team. She realizes that he plans to resolve the relationship problems in Hawkins Lab. He denies it. He expresses that he wishes she will be honest with him. She asks him if he’s honest with her. He admits it. But he hesitated. She walks away. He finds a door. He tries to open the door. But he breaks the lock. He hits the door with his body. It promotes her to come back. He bursts through the door in the end. He sees the stairs. He realizes that Dustin was right.
Hopper is outside the church. He contacts Nancy and Jonathan. But the two don’t answer him. Kali and Eleven sit in the church. Kali knows Eleven came to look for Henry. But Eleven found her. She guesses Eleven is disappointed. Eleven apologizes to Kali for not finding her early. She learns that Kali knows everything about Henry. She asks Kali to help her kill Henry. She thinks they can live if they do so. But Kali thinks it’s just a dream. She remembers those guys took her to the lab after they killed her friend. Dr. Kay took blood from Kali in the lab. Kali managed to run away from the room. But she regretted it soon.
Derek gets into the forest. The kids go to report it to Henry. Holly and her friend talk about how to escape Camazotz in the forest. Robin and Will set up the tower. Robin reveals she confessed her feelings for Steve. Holly and her friend walk out of the forest. They reach the field. They find a door. They get into the door. Holly is told that it’s just a memory of her. She sees herself watching the TV. She reveals she didn’t encounter Henry. But her friend points out that it doesn’t mean Henry wasn’t there. Henry shows up outside the window. Holly reveals she encountered Henry in the library after the school. Her friend pushes away the books. They see Holly reading a book in the room. Henry shows up. He introduces himself to Holly.
Dustin returns to the room. He finds out that Steve just threw away the Rubik’s Cube. He guesses the guy was playing. Steven claims that he followed the orders. He figures it out that Dustin didn’t find the shield generator. Because Dustin is in anger. It proves that Dustin is wrong. Steve is very happy. Dustin blames Steve. He thinks he’s selfish. Steve badmouths Dustin’s friend Eddie. Dustin is furious to have a fight with Steve. Because Eddie saved his life ever. Steve walks away. Dustin finds a room. He gets into the room. He finds the drawing on the wall. He’s shocked. Nancy and Jonathan explore the hallway. They see some bodies.
Back to the church, Kali tells Eleven that those guys gave her blood to the pregnant women. It caused them to be sick. Kali reveals she and Eleven’s bloods came from Henry. Dr. Kay wants to catch Eleven. Because she wants to take more blood. Eleven cannot accept the truth after Kali thought they won’t have good endings.
Henry catches Derek in the forest. He notices the map Derek dropped. He asks the boy who gave the map to him. He threatens him that he will kill his family if he lies to him. Holly sees the terrifying memory that her mother was killed for protecting her. She’s scared. Her friend comforts her that it’s a good sign that they’re going to go home.
The experiment is successful on the tower. Will regains his power. He goes to Henry’s house. He finds the kids Vecna kidnapped. He learns that Max and Holly fled. Henry is looking for the two girls. Holly and Max find the exit. They try to leave from the exit. But the exit is closed. Henry shows up. He turns into Vecna. Vecna tries to kill Max. But Will stops Vecna. He controls Vecna’s body. He helps Max and Holly flee. Vecna kicks Will out of his body. Will passes out.

Nancy and Jonathan go to the roof. Nancy sees something in the sky. Jonathan throws a pipe to the sky. He sees the black magic. He contacts Dustin. He informs him that they found the shield generator. Dustin is anxious to ask Jonathan not to do anything. But Jonathan doesn’t hear it. Nancy shoots the shield generator when we’re told that they will die.
