An armored vehicle goes to chase Eleven and her friends after those guy got into the Upside Down in Stranger Things Season 5 episode 8. Dr. Kay and the captain arrest the guard who let the truck pass. The guard claims that he didn’t do anything. The gate opened by itself. Dr. Kay realizes that the malfunction wasn’t caused by them.
Murray parks his truck. He opens the door of his truck. He asks those guys to hurry up because the dimension is going to crash down on their heads. Mike tells Eleven that the nightmare will be over if she gets off the truck. She gives him a hug.
Eleven and her friends are going to go somewhere. The captain watches them in the evening. He stops the soldier from contacting Dr. Kay. He wants to catch Eleven on his own.
Clarke and Erica are in the church after they helped Murray. Erica thinks those guys will be fine. Clarke feels good after he saved the world. But they see the armored vehicles. The soldiers get off the vehicles. They break into the church. They’re leaded by Dr. Kay. Dr. Kay sees the van Clarke and Erica used.
Vickie and Max are in the house. Vickie notices that something happened. She worries that the monsters came. She contacts Robin. She’s told that it was done by Robin and her people. Robin persuades Vickie not to be nervous. She and the group get off the truck. They look at the sky. They don’t see any evil planet. It’s a good news. The people begin to work.
Hopper takes Eleven and Kali into the lab. Eleven tells Kali that she’s fine. She remembers Dr. Brenner took her into the lab. He told her that those guys just watch her. But she screams in the container. Murray turns on the lights in the basement. Hopper notices what Murray is doing. He asks him to be careful of the C-4.
Eleven is going to jump into the container. She asks him to promise her that he won’t pull her out until Henry is dead. He agrees. But he asks her to flee with him after they warp up the matter. She promises it. He puts the wet suit on her. She jumps into the container. He sees Kali putting on the blindfold. He closes the lid of the container. He says goodbye to Eleven. The door of the container closes.
Will climbs the tower. He joins Mike. Mike apologizes to Will for not supporting him. He thinks he’s a fool. Will denies it. Mike thinks he’s Will’s best friend.
At the house, Vickie disappears. Max finds out that she can walk. Vickie goes to take food. She returns. She sees Max being in a daze. Max walks out of the house. She sees Eleven and Kali. Dustin and his friends climb to the top of the tower. They see the giant planet. Murray contacts Hopper. He informs him that the giant planet is descending upon their heads. He thinks they don’t have too much time. He hopes Eleven is close to Henry. Hopper turns around. He takes a look at Eleven. He cheers her on.
Max, Eleven and Kali find Vecna. Max offers to kill the guy. She thinks he’s weak. But Eleven tells Max that they cannot kill Vecna there. They need to get into Vecna’s mind. Max is told that it’s Eleven’s mind. Eleven grabs Vecna’s mind.
Max, Eleven and Kali get into the school. Max misses the place. Hopper sends a message to Eleven. He informs her that the Abyss is moving. Eleven and Kali ask Max to take them to Henry’s house. But Max needs to think about it. She sees Joyce and the guy. Max comes up with an idea. She reveals Hopper is sneaking a joint behind the door.
Dr. Kay takes the soldiers to break into the house Max and Vickie stay. But they don’t find the two girls. Because Vickie and Max hide well. At the top of the tower, Lucas finds out that the tower needle isn’t lining up with the rift. The tower will go down if the Abyss hits the needle. Dustin calls Hopper. He asks him to get Eleven to stop the planet in thirty seconds.
Max takes Eleven and Kali to the stage. Max asks Eleven to trust her. They get into Henry’s house. Eleven throws Henry out of the window. But the planet hits the tower. Steve falls off the tower. Fortunately, Jonathan saves Steve. Lucas brings a good news to Hopper that Eleven got Henry.
At Henry’s house, Max runs to Holly. Holly hugs Max. She’s moved after Max came to save her. Max promises Holly that she will save everyone. But Marry thinks Max is a monster. Max denies it. She claims that she can prove it.
Nancy and the people get into the Abyss from the tower. Nancy sees the world. She thinks they’re space travelers. Henry returns to the room. He finds out that the kids left. Eleven shows up. She tells the guy that it’s over. He’s told that the kids are with Max. The kids saw through his lies.
The kids are in the room to watch Henry. One of the kids wonders why Henry cannot see them. Max reveals Henry isn’t the only one who can use magic powers. Kali sits on the chair. She makes Henry not see the kids with her magic powers. Eleven tells Henry that the kids are very smart. He reminds her that he can find all the answers from her head. The kids see Henry turning into a monster. They realize that he’s the black thing. Max persuades the kids to flee with her. She tells them that Henry cannot destroy the world without their help.
Henry tells Eleven that he got stronger as well when he tries to hurt her head. She remembers Kali offered to kill Henry together. Henry senses Kali’s presence. He releases Eleven. He walks into the barrier that Kali set up. The kids run away from Henry’s house. Eleven blows Henry to the table. She orders Kali to take action. Kali runs into the room with a knife. She tries to stab Henry. But he disappears. She hits the table.
In the Abyss, Dustin and the guys are on the way to join Eleven. He believes that Eleven is fighting Henry. It promotes Mike to worry about his girlfriend. Will comforts his friend that Henry will be dead because Eleven is with Kali and Max. Steve thanks Jonathan for saving him. Jonathan expresses that he doesn’t want Steve to die even if he doesn’t like him. He thought they will need Steve. Steve isn’t surprised that Jonathan doesn’t like him. Because he was a jerk sometimes. Jonathan reveals he let Nancy go because they had problems. Steve confesses it to Jonathan that he knows he cannot get together with Nancy. Jonathan brings up that Steve asked Nancy to have six kids for him. They think Nancy is a special girl. They find Henry’s den. Will recognizes the place immediately. He reveals the kids are in the den. Nancy takes the people to walk to the den.
Max takes the kids to run in the forest. But Derek cannot run because he’s a fat boy. Max persuades Derek to keep going. Eleven and Kali show up. Kali reveals Henry disappeared. Max figures it out that the guy went to the real world. She believes that the guy will be back.
In the lab, the baby appears in front of Hopper. He mentions Hopper knew what will happen to Eleven. Hopper sees Kali and Eleven then. He learns that Eleven plans to disappear with Kali after they kill Henry. Henry reminds Hopper that Eleven will do that. Hopper is furious to ask Henry to show up when he holds a gun. He thinks Henry is a liar. Henry denies it. He reveals he has seen Hopper’s mind. He knows Hopper worries that he will lose Eleven after he lost a daughter. Henry shows up. Hopper shoots Henry. He goes to check if Henry is dead. He sees the bullet holes on the container. He finds out that he shot Eleven. He breaks the container for saving Eleven.
Eleven, Kali and Max disappear from the Abyss. Because Hopper broke the container. Hopper carries Eleven out of the container. He finds out she’s fine. She wonders what he did. Dr. Kay finds Max and Vickie at the house. The soldiers break into the basement. Dr. Kay sees the plan that the kids left.
In the forest, the kids think Max and her friends were taken away by the black thing. They’re anxious. Holly becomes the leader of the kids. She takes them to run to the cave. She knows Henry cannot hurt them once they get into the cave.
In the lab, Kali asks Eleven to take her to go back to Henry’s mind. She wants to save the kids. But Eleven reveals she cannot do it without the bath. She plans to go to the Abyss to kill Henry with her friends. But Kali thinks there’s no time. She believes that the two worlds will collide before they arrive. Eleven doesn’t think so. She knows it won’t happen once Holly and the kids get into the cave. She claims that she won’t give up. But Hopper has known the truth. He reveals Henry showed it to him. Eleven thinks her father fell for it after Henry tricked him. But he knows what Henry said is true. He asks Eleven to look at him in eye and tell him that she won’t take her life tonight. She refuses to give him the answer. She tries to leave with Kali. But Hopper reveals he won’t detonate the C-4 before he makes sure that Eleven comes back in Hawkins. Eleven wonders why Hopper wants to do that. Kali pulls out her gun. She wants to kill the man. Eleven reminds her father that Henry is alive as long as she’s alive. She wants to end the cycle. He agrees to end the cycle. But he doesn’t want to end it with the method. Because there has been so much pain. He mentions her mother and her childhood were taken from her. She has been attacked by terrible people. He tells her that he will help her have a kid. She thinks she deserves it. She tears up. Kali drops her gun after she heard Hopper’s words.
Murray contacts Hopper. He reports to him that some people came to the lab. Holly helps the kids get into the cave. But she finds out that Derek isn’t there. She finds Derek before the boy is caught by Henry. She takes him into the cave. She tells the kids that they’re safe.
Mike and Nancy are on the way to the den. He offers to share some of the firepower. He mentions they don’t know what’s inside the den. But she points out that he has firepower. He complains it to her that he only has three fire bombs. He asks for a gun. She gives the gun to him. But he’s told that they’re flares. Will senses that Henry is alive. He tells it to his friends. Henry overcomes his fear. He get into the cave. Holly is scared to take the kids to flee. Will sees it. He decides to stop Henry with his powers.
The soldiers break into the lab. Hopper takes Eleven and Kali to flee. But the two girls feel comfortable when the soldier does something to them in the helicopter. Hopper can only save one girl. He chooses Eleven. The soldiers catch Kali. They try to take her away. But Hopper comes back. He kills the soldiers. He tells Kali that he came back to save her. He’s hit by the captain.
Holly takes the kids into the mine. She tells them that what they will see isn’t real. It won’t hurt them. She asks them to look at her. Hopper and Kali are taken to the room. They’re beaten by the soldiers. The captain threatens Hopper that he will kill Kali if he doesn’t leak where Eleven hides. Murray throws the hand grenade to the helicopter. The helicopter is destroyed. The captain and the soldiers are caught in the blast. But the captain shoots Kali. Eleven shows up. She can uses her powers now. She kills the soldiers. She gets the captain to shoot himself. Kali’s belly was shot. Hopper goes to take the bandage. Kali dies.
Henry gets into the mine. He looks for Holly. She shows up behind him. She attacks him. His face is hurt. He pushes her away. He picks up her weapon. He tries to walk to her when she passes out. But he sees his memory. He’s scared. Hopper and Eleven walk out of the lab. Murray asks the two to praise him for destroying the helicopter. But He’s told that Kali is dead. Eleven plans to jump into the Abyss and kill Henry. She mentions Hopper raised her after he found her in the forest. She reminds Hopper that she’s not a kid anymore. She returns the bracelet to him. She tells him that she’s not Sara. She asks him to trust her.
Henry sees himself crying after he stunned the uncle. He opens the suitcase. He finds the black thing. He holds it. The black thing gets into his body. The uncle wakes up. He persuades Henry to resist it. Because it will consume all. Henry kills the uncle. He’s startled. He runs away.
Will sees it through Henry’s eyes. He tells Henry that he’s not a bad person. He figures out the reason why the Mind Flayer didn’t want Henry to get into the cave. Henry cries. He asks Will not to bother him. Will tells Henry that the Mind Flayer used him. He thinks he’s a vessel like him. He persuades Henry to help them fight the enemy. But Henry rejects it. He mentions the Mind Flayer showed him the broken world. Will asks Henry not to let the Mind Flayer control him. Henry denies it. He mentions he could resist. But he chose to join Mind Flayer.
Nancy and her team are close to the den. But the den turns into a giant monster. The monster attacks the team. Those guys are scared to flee. Eleven hits the monster with a rock before he eats her friends. She runs into the monster’s body. She fights Vecna. Outside the Mind Flayer, Mike offers to help Eleven. He mentions the hive mind works in both ways. They hurt Vecna if they hurt the Mind Flayer. But they need to spread out. Lucas sees the canyon. He wants someone to draw the Mind Flayer to the canyon. Nancy volunteers to do the job. She shoots the monster. Jonathan wants to go to help his girlfriend. But Robin stops the guy. She takes him away.
Nancy draws the monster to the canyon. He tries to eat her. But her friend burns him from the cliff. Dustin runs beneath the monster. He wants to take revenge for Eddie. He and Steve stab the monster. Vecna tries to kill Eleven in the Mind Flayer. But Will controls Vecna. Will is tough now. He saves Eleven. Vecna and the Mind Flayer are killed in the end. Nancy finds Eleven inside the Mind Flayer. She gives her a hug. She sees her sister Holly then. She saves her. Holly wakes up. The other kids are saved. But Vecna is alive. Joyce cuts off Vecna’s head in person.
Dustin and the team return to the Upside Down. He informs Hopper that everyone is safe. Hopper gets Murray to activate the bomb. The people return to the MAC. They’re arrested by the soldiers immediately. Mike notices that Eleven isn’t with them. Dr. Kay goes to look for Eleven. Mike mistakes that Eleven fled. He’s very happy. But he sees the girl. Eleven decides to kill herself. She knows it won’t end as long as she lives in the world. She says goodbye to Mike. She kisses him. The Upside Down is destroyed. Eleven disappears with the world. Mike tears up.
18 Months Later
Robin returns to the booth after Jimmy helped her. She mentions people were happy to walk into the cinema after the army left the town. Her partner Steve isn’t in the booth. The guy is teaching the kids to play baseball. Robin says that the town isn’t the town they knew. She guesses it’s changed because they’re changed.
Max skateboards outside. Lucas worries that his girlfriend will be hurt. He complains it to her that he doesn’t want to stay in the hospital with her. She notes that he’s different today. He brings up that they’re going to graduate. He shows her the clothes he wears. She thinks he’s hasty because it’s in two hours. He hugs her. He explains it to her that he did it because she’s pretty. She kisses him.
Dustin is at home. He smiles when he wears the academic gown. But his mother cries while she takes photos of him. He hugs her mother after he realized that she doesn’t want him to leave her. He comforts her that he will come back and call her.
Will is going to graduate as well. Hopper is very happy when he takes photos with Will and Joyce. But Jonathan messes up the lighting. Hopper gets angry. But he wants to give Jonathan a chance. Joyce gets a call from Karen. Karen is looking for her son Mike after the guy went missing. Joyce reports it to Hopper.
Mike sits at the monument. He misses Eleven. Hopper finds Mike. He tells the kid that his mother worried about him. He brings up that kids went missing ever in the town. Mike complains it to Hopper that he cannot walk the stage. Because he cannot lie. He brings up that he and Eleven planned to run to the Three Waterfalls. He thinks Eleven wasn’t saved because his plan wasn’t good. Hopper tells Mike that it wasn’t his mistake. He thinks Eleven made the choice. He persuades him to accept Eleven’s choice.
The graduation ceremony begins. The students sit down. Holly hints at her mother Karen that Mike came. Karen runs to Mike. She gives her son a hug. He explains it to her that he fled because he was flustered. She tells him that she’s so proud of him. Dustin gives a speech. He mentions he made friends at the school. He doesn’t want the order the principal set up. He takes off his robe for expressing his position. Everyone supports him except the principal. The principal is furious to threaten to punish the students.
Mike remembers something about Eleven. He runs to Dustin. He praises him for what he did. The girl invites Dustin to her party after she listened to his speech. Steve gathers with his friends at the tower. Steve becomes a teacher. Nancy drops out of the school. Robin has new friends. But she misses her old friends. They agree to have a meeting up at the house of Robin’s uncle every month.

Hopper dates Joyce at a restaurant. Hopper got a new job in New York. He invites Joyce to go to New York with him since the two kids grow up. He gets the singer to sing for her. He makes a proposal to her. She’s happy to put on the ring. They dance on the dance floor.
Mike, Will, Max and Dustin play a game at a house. Max wishes Mike continues to tell a story. Mike reveals Eleven isn’t dead. She fled in Kali’s help. Eleven walks in the mountains. She finds the Three Waterfalls Mike mentioned. Mike doesn’t know where Eleven is. But he believes that she found the happiness. Will, Max and Dustin believe it as well. They cry. Karen breaks into the basement. She informs the four kids that it’s time to eat the lasagna. Mike tries to leave the basement. But Holly comes with her friends. They play the game Mike played. Mike smiles when he looks at the kids. He closes the door. He leaves the basement.
