Sam is sleeping in the house in Task episode 3. Maeve and Robbie are in the car outside the house. Maeve doesn’t understand why Robbie did it. She mentions she tried her best to stay away from those guys. He points out that those people killed his brother. She agrees to what he said. She thinks they should stay away. But he blames those people for showing up at the memorial service and hugging her. He emphasizes that Jayson shook his hand with the same hand he used to kill Maeve’s father.

Robbie complains it to Maeve that he had to nod and thank Jayson for his coming. He reminds her that they knew what Jayson did to her father. So he wants to take the guy’s money. He wants to use the money to have a better life. But she argues with him. She thinks it’s not a reason. She tells him not to act like a martyr. She mentions he let the kids’ father be a murder and a kidnapper. But he denies it. She knows Jayson will kill him before he’s sent to the prison. He points out that Jayson won’t know it was him. But she thinks the guy will find it out.
Robbie is furious to hit his chest. He wishes Jayson to come and shake his hand. He swears to give the guy a lesson this time. Maeve lets her uncle look at her. She reminds him that he had a life. But he disagrees with what she said. He complains it to her that he stank like other people’s trash. He came home but his kids asked him when their mother will come back. He couldn’t give an answer. Robbie is tired of that life. He tears up.
Maeve offers to take Sam to the police. But Robbie needs a few days. She thinks it won’t change. Because they need money. He believes that they will have a million dollars. He knows he got himself into trouble. But he asks her to let him take care of the kids. He reminds her that she’s his only family. He tries to wipe away her tears. But she avoids it. She gets off his car.
Tom drives to his office in the morning. He has a meeting with his boss Martha and the team. Martha complains it to Tom that she’s like a fool. He tells her that she’s not a fool. He reveals they’re combing through 500 tips. He believes that they will know the group soon. It promotes her to wonder what they know. He lets the agent Lizzie explain it to Martha. Lizzie brings up Kenny Pollard. She reveals the guy served two years at Rexler Correctional for attacking a night clerk. He’s been employed at Swain’s Tree Surgery in Upper Darby for the past six months. Lizzie contacted the foreman. They agreed to have a meeting with all the employees.
Grasso shows up. He says good morning to Martha. But she scolds him because he’s late. He explains it to her that he was late because of the coffee at the coffee shop. But she’s not interested in it. Tom reveals the DEA called with some intel. He asks the agent Aleah to state. Aleah says that Central had a tracker lock on a car. The car owner is the drug runner named Cosmo Giles out of Pittsburgh. An informant leaked that Giles picked up a major shipment from a group of bikers. Aleah knows they were Dark Hearts.
But Martha disagrees. She mentions Dark Hearts never stole drug. Aleah points out that those guys weren’t after the drugs. The meet was set for midnight, but it got pushed back. The crew went into the house. They believed that they would pick up the money. Martha learns that those people knew there would be a drug deal. Tom admits it. He believes that there was an informant inside the gang working with Dark Hearts. Martha wonders how much product those guys took away. Aleah reveals it was twelve kilos of pure fentanyl.
Perry and Jayson visit Freddy in the kitchen at a restaurant. Perry notices that someone is going to get married. Freddy reveals it’s his oldest daughter Camila. Perry wonders if the girl chose a good man. Freddy complains it to his friend that the man is terrible. The man has two kids with another woman. He doesn’t have a job and he has zero ambition. But Freddy’s daughter believes that the man is Prince Charming. Perry feels relieved that he doesn’t have a daughter to disappoint him.
Freddy takes Perry and Jayson into his house. Jayson asks Freddy to help them resolve a problem. Freddy realizes what Jayson means is the Halloween crew that knocked off Jayson’s houses. He asks him to give him a reason to help him. Jayson claims that he controls the pipeline. He agrees to give the city to Freddy. He complains it to Freddy that the raids made the distributors lose product.
Perry worries that the distributors will join their competitors if they don’t give them the product. He reminds Freddy that his market will be affected as well. He asks him to inform them if someone wants to sell the drug to him. But Freddy is only interested in the benefits he’s going to get. Jayson promises to give Freddy 25 percent wholesale. But Freddy asks for 50 percent. He reveals he bought a new set of teeth after he made some money. Freddy was beaten by two bikers when he went shopping with his wife. He lost six teeth. He had 5,000 dollars in his pocket. But the bikers weren’t interested in it. They beat Freddy because they didn’t like the way he talked.
Sam feeds the chicken Gertie the watermelons. Robbie watches it. He receives a message from Cliff. Cliff offers to swim together in the evening. Maeve opens a box in her room. She sees the group photos of Robbie and her father. Robbie takes Cliff to the lake. Eryn gives Robbie a hug. She tries to give Cliff a hug as well. But he rejects it. He asks her not to approach him. She wonders why he rejected her. He complains it to her that he got blood on his hands because of her. She explains it to him that she didn’t know Jayson was out. But he thinks it was her job to know the information.
Eryn claims that she couldn’t have known it. Cliff blames her for not knowing the kid in the house. He throws a fit to her when he thinks she fooled them. Robbie calms Cliff down. He lets him go to take a walk. Eryn tells Robbie that Cliff is a liability. But he takes Cliff’s side. He explains it to her that Cliff is scared. He mentions every cop in the tri-state area is looking for them. She claims that she didn’t trick them. She mentions what he said that he wanted a bigger score. He agrees with what she said. But he didn’t want a pile of fentanyl and a six-year-old kid. She thinks it wasn’t her mistake. She asks him about the kid. He reveals the kid is fine. He asks her to help him move the stuff.
Eryn persuades Robbie not to move the stuff. She heard it from Jayson that he met with Freddy. She knows Robbie will be caught if he sells the product. But Robbie claims that he needs the money. She brings a good news to him that Jayson is going to be killed. She reveals Perry came. She thinks their plan is working. But he doesn’t care for the plan. She brings up their goal. She reminds him that Jayson killed his brother. He points out that his brother was killed because he slept with her.
Eryn is furious to beat Robbie. She claims that she loved Billy. Robbie gives the poor woman a hug. She cries in his arms. He explains it to her that he needs the money for his kids. She feels sorry because she knows he cannot move the drugs. She asks him not to do anything before she gives him a message. She leaves. Cliff comes back. He realizes that they’re on their own. He complains it to Robbie that Eryn got what she wanted. Robbie takes a look at Cliff. He asks the guy if he knows someone who will buy the drugs. Cliff nods.
Tom meets with Hank. Hank finds out that the bullets belong to one of the Dark Hearts. Tom and Grasso go to the bar to look for Jayson. They see Perry. Tom shows Jayson the footage. He mentions Jayson had a fight with the Vipers. But Jayson thinks it’s not related to Deric Nance’s house. Perry joins Tom. Tom reveals they got a ballistics report that confirms that the gun that was used to kill Warren Clarke and Joanne Nance was the same one that killed two Vipers. He thinks Perry knows he got a leak. He mentions Perry’s drug houses were raided. He thinks they will find the kid Sam as long as they find the owner of the gun.
But Perry doesn’t want to find the kid. Tom asks Perry who went to Reading with him. Perry laughs. He claims that he doesn’t remember it because it was seven years ago. He reveals he even doesn’t know what he ate. Tom thinks it’s not funny because he just asks for the list of the bar members. Jayson tells Tom and Grasso that they’re a joke. Grasso realizes that the two won’t help them. Jayson claims that they will find the kid on their ways. Perry asks Tom and Grasso to leave the bar. Tom and Grasso leave. Perry asks Jayson who was there that day in Reading.
Maeve is with Sam by the lake. Sam asks the deer not to stay on the road. Because he worries that they will be hurt. Maeve plans to teach Sam after knowing he cannot swim. She carries him. She mentions she went to a party with the girls. But everyone was swimming except her. Her father threw her into the pool. She learned to swim. Sam begs Maeve not to do that to him. She laughs and she puts him into the water. She teaches him how to float. She tells him that he needs to turn himself into a starfish. He thinks she’s a better teacher than her father when he floats.
Emily visits Ethan in the prison. She gives him a hug. She notices that he got his hair cut. But he thinks it’s too short. She wonders if he’s making any friends. He denies it. He reveals he was mostly alone. He asks her about their father Tom. She brings a good news to him that their father is working again. She reveals Tom asks about him all the time. But he doesn’t believe it. Because Tom didn’t enter the prison when he gave Ethan the clothes. Emily wonders if Ethan tried on the suit. He reveals he didn’t do that because he got all skinny. She asks him about the sentencing. He doesn’t have any feeling. He mentions he had to accept it no matter what the judge says. He thinks it was his mistake.
Cliff and Robbie visit Shelley. But Shelley doesn’t want to see Cliff. He asks her if Ray Lyman is at home. Ray shows up. He takes Cliff and Robbie into his house. He goes to take some beers. Shelley reminds Ray that he needs to take part in the game. But he scolds her.
Ray meets with Cliff and Robbie outside. Cliff leaks that he wants to move some dope. He promises to cut Ray if Ray helps them. Ray wonders how much dope Cliff has. Cliff reveals he has twelve kilos. Ray laughs. He wonders where Cliff and Robbie got the dope. But Cliff refuses to leak it. He asks Ray if he can move it. Ray denies it. He brings up Freddy. But Robbie rejects it. Ray realizes that the two stole the dope. He thinks the only option is Lee Whitehead. He doesn’t know the guy well. But Shelley grew up with Lee Whitehead. Ray heard Lee Whitehead was close to Colombians. He thinks Colombians won’t miss the chance. But they need to see the product.
Aleah and Lizzie meet with Denny at the cafe. Denny wants to get some assurances. He wonders how he will get 25,000 dollars. Aleah promises to give the money to Denny once he helps them catch the kidnappers. He realizes that the kid’s life isn’t important. Denny reveals Peaches bragged to him that he made some money through hitting the houses. He guesses the houses were drug houses. He tells the two agents that Peaches worked for Cliff. Aleah wonders how Cliff knew the houses. Denny guesses the guy knew it through looking into the trash.
Aleah calls Tom. She reports to him that the one who robbed the houses was Cliff. She sends Cliff’s address to Grasso’s cell phone. Tom decides to contact Central and have SWAT stage nearby. Aleah wonders if they need a search warrant. Tom thinks they don’t need the stuff. They gather in front of Cliff’s house. Aleah hands over the telescope to Tom. He checks the house with the telescope. She reveals someone broke into the house. He’s told that SWAT will arrive in 15 minutes. But he doesn’t want to wait.
Tom and the agents enter Cliff’s house. They encounter two robbers. Tom asks Lizzie to help him when he fights one of the robbers. But she hesitates. The robber hits Tom’s head. He catches the chance to flee. Lizzie goes to chase the robber. Aleah catches another robber. We find out that the robber is Shelley. So another one must be Ray. They heard it from Cliff that he has dope. So they came to steal it. Lizzie teams up with Grasso. They catch Ray. Tom’s head is bleeding. He experiences hallucinations. He mistakes Aleah for his wife.
Cliff and Robbie arrive at Cliff’s house. They see the police. Cliff doesn’t know what to do. Perry shows up at Donna’s bar. He dances with his girlfriend Donna. He wishes to know it from her who’s the mole. She reveals Shane’s wife told her that Shane acted different. She wonders if he thinks Shane is the mole.
Tom is taken to the hospital. But he refuses to accept any additional medical attention. The doctor reminds Tom that he suffered a Grade 2 Concussion. She doesn’t allow him to drive. She wonders if there’s someone who can take the guy home. Aleah promises to drive Tom home. The doctor allows Tom to leave after she heard the good news. Tom joins Grasso. But he stares at Lizzie.
Tom is told that Shelley was beaten by her husband Ray ever. He asks Aleah to go to accompany the lady so that she will talk. Tom walks into the Interrogation Room. He brings up that Ray tossed him downstairs. He wonders why he went to Cliff’s house. Ray claims that he was playing a prank on Cliff. But Grasso knows it’s a lie. Tom reveals he has known that Cliff stole the drugs from a Biker’s house. He thinks Ray went to Cliff’s house for the drugs. Grasso hints at Ray that he will have a bad ending if his wife confesses. But Ray doesn’t believe that his wife will betray him.
Aleah meets with Shelley in the room. She tries to talk with the lady. But Lizzie breaks into the room with some snacks. Aleah tells Shelley that she knows her feelings. She shows her the scar on her head. She reveals her husband knocked her into the corner of the kitchen island. Shelley confesses it to Aleah that Cliff visited them. The guy wished them to help them move the drugs.
Tom returns to the Interrogation Room. He tells Ray that he has known that he agreed to help Cliff move the drugs. He promises to drop the conspiracy charges. But Ray needs to confess who’s the other person. Ray doesn’t know the other person. But he reveals how he contacted Cliff.
Robbie and Cliff return home. Robbie tells Cliff that they’re going to go to Canada. But Cliff worries that he cannot reach Canada. Because the police got his face. Robbie brings up Bartos. He reveals the guy drove a route up through Manitoba. Cliff gets a message from Ray. Ray asks for meeting up at the park tomorrow. Robbie decides to go to the park. Because he doesn’t trust Ray.
Lizzie and Grasso are off duty. Lizzie thanks Grasso for saving her. She offers to go to the bar together. He wonders if she’s asking him out. She denies it. He agrees to get a drink with her. Lizzie and Grasso are at the bar. She confesses it to him that she froze when Ray went after Tom. He comforts her that she’s a good person. But she runs into her former colleagues. The colleagues mock her. She’s not happy. Grasso leads the cops to give Lizzie a toast.

Tom returns home with Aleah. His daughter Sara is told that he took a bad spill when he cleared a house. Aleah asks Sara not to let her father drink. But Tom gets the drink. Sara wonders why Tom is back in the field. He explains it to her that Kathleen needed someone to fill in. He claims that he didn’t have a choice. She apologizes to him about yesterday. She brings up that she and Emily were close. Emily returns home. She hears Tom tells Sara that he doesn’t wish Ethan to come back. Tom reveals he cannot forgive Ethan.

Tom has a dream that he and his wife decide to adopt Emily and Ethan. He wakes up when Joe visits him. Joe reveals the one Jayson killed was Billy. He shows Tom a photo. There’s a car in the photo. The car appeared after Tom and his team left. The car belongs to Dark Hearts. Joe suspects that there’s a mole in Tom’s team.
