Perry and Jayson follow Tom’s voice. They find Robbie in Task episode 6. But they see the FBI agents. Perry orders to retreat. But Jayson shoots Robbie. Robbie catches the chance to flee. It makes the FBI agents and the Dark Hearts engage in a gun battle. Jayson wants to get the dope. So he goes to chase Robbie. Perry has to ask the follower to go to get the trucks. Tom trips when he chases Robbie in the forest. Robbie saves Tom before Tom is killed by the gangster.
Robbie takes Tom to return to the cabin. But Tom points his gun at Robbie when Robbie is checking the situation outside. But Robbie knows the agent won’t shoot him because he knows Tom has no bullets. He wonders why Tom didn’t stay at the lake like he told him to do. He thinks he ruined his plan. Kathleen encounters two gangsters in the forest. She hides behind a tree so that she’s not hurt. Robbie discovers that Perry and Jayson are approaching the cabin. He lets Tom hide in the cabin. He flees.
Perry enters the cabin. He spots Robbie who’s trying to run away. He tries to shoot him. But Tom knocks Perry’s gun out of his hand. The two have a fight in the cabin. Robbie wants to go to save Tom. But he sees Jayson. Jayson shoots Robbie when Robbie flees. Kathleen tries to shoot the gangster. But she’s shot in the shoulder. Aleah and another agent save Kathleen. Aleah informs her teammates that Kathleen was hit. She wishes one of them to go back to the car and get a call out. Lizzie volunteers to do the job. Because she and Grasso are going to return to the bridge. But they’re seen by the gangsters who are going to go to get the truck. The gangster asks his accomplice to go to get the truck. He takes another gangster to go to get Lizzie and Grasso.
Jayson chases Robbie to the riverbank. Robbie knows Jayson wants to get the dope. So he throws the dope into the river. Grasso and Lizzie encounter the two gangsters. Grasso shoots one of the gangsters. But Lizzie’s ear is affected by his gunshot. He asks her to stay there. He goes to chase the gangster.
Robbie looks for Jayson in the forest. Jayson shows up. He stabs Robbie. The two have a fight. Tom stuns Perry in the cabin. He leaves the cabin with Perry’s gun. Robbie tries to strangle Jayson to death. But Jayson stabs Robbie’s belly with his knife. He tries to kill Robbie. But Tom shows up with a gun. Jayson has to flee. Robbie lies on the ground after he was stabbed. Tom helps Robbie up. They run through the forest.
Grasso joins the gangster. He asks him to go to get the truck. But the gangster wants to kill Lizzie. But Grasso threatens to kill the gangster. The gangster has to leave. Grasso goes to look for Lizzie. But the girl is pointing her gun at the gangster. The gangster agrees to drop his gun. But he tries to shoot Lizzie. Lizzie has to shoot him. Grasso runs to the gangster. He finds out that the guy was hit in the chest. He tries to save him.
Perry leaves the cabin. He joins Jayson. The two see Grasso and Lizzie. Grasso lets Perry and Jayson hide. Lizzie receives an order. She goes to the bridge for the ambulance. Grasso fails to stop the girl. He lets Jayson and Perry leave. He goes to chase Lizzie. Aleah takes Kathleen to a safe place. Kathleen screams because of the pain. She allows Aleah to leave for the ambulance. Sheriff arrives with the police car after he got a call for backup. Tom helps Robbie out of the forest. He puts the guy into the police car. Perry and Jayson get into the truck in the end. They flee.
Lizzie runs to the bridge. She gets into the car. She calls an ambulance. But she’s hit by Jayson and Perry’s truck. Aleah shoots the truck. She kills one of the Dark Hearts. But truck speeds away. Grasso carries Lizzie. He tries to wake her up. He cries because he knows he’s going to lose her. Tom carries Robbie in the police car when they’re on the way to the hospital. Tom asks Robbie to hang in there. Robbie sees his daughter Harper and his brother Billy. He passes away.
Grasso and Aleah is resting in the room at the hospital. Tom brings a good news to them that Kathleen just came out of surgery. The lady can go home tomorrow morning. Grasso wonders if Tom informed Lizzie’s family. Tom reveals Lizzie’s ex-husband is going to come to take her belongings. He comforts Grasso that it’s not his mistake. The Special agent in charge Dale and the agent Marcus show up. Dale reveals they’re going to set up interviews for Grasso, Aleah and Tom. He explains it to Grasso that any officer-involved death automatically triggers an investigation. But Grasso points out that he doesn’t work for the Feds. Marcus reminds Grasso that the incident occurred while he was under the employ of the Bureau. So Grasso should be managed by them. Dale announces that the assignment with Task is finished. But Aleah thinks the Task isn’t finished. Because they don’t catch Jayson and Perry who killed Lizzie. Dale reveals the task is being handed over to Safe Streets. Sam is under the supervision of Child and Youth Services. He thinks Aleah’s assignment is over.
Tom returns home. He drinks with his two daughters. He reveals his colleague Lizzie was killed when she carried out her mission. Sara is shocked. She feels relieved that her father left the team. Tom wonders when Andy will get into the town. Sara reveals she and Andy are separated. She says that the guy asked for a divorce. He wonders what happened. She goes to smoke. Because she’s not ready to tell him about it. Tom realizes that Emily might know something. He’s told that the girl just found out yesterday.
Aleah returns to her office. She finds out that the agents are packing their stuff. She realizes that those guys are looking into one of their teammates. She leaves after she took her stuff. Grasso returns home. He feels guilty after Lizzie was killed because of him. But his accomplice Mike asks him to forget the girl. Because the agents are looking into Grasso. He worries that he will get involved if Grasso is exposed.
Tom meets Maeve at the police station. She cries after knowing her uncle is dead. He reveals Jayson killed her uncle. He believes that the guy will be caught soon. But he still doesn’t find Cliff. He asks her about the last time she saw Cliff. She reveals the guy was going to go to Wissahickon Park to see someone. He leaks that they contacted Cliff via Ray’s cell phone. They arranged a meeting up. The place is Bailey Park. Maeve doesn’t know it. She guesses Cliff changed his plan. Tom mentions Robbie told him that he has a plan. He asks Maeve about her uncle’s plan. She reveals Robbie planned to go to Canada with Cliff.
Tom reminds Maeve that they met before at the shopping center. She confesses it to him that she brought Sam there when she found out who he was. She tried to turn Sam in. Tom realizes that Maeve was the one who phoned in the tip. She admits it. She reveals she tried to leave the kid at the Val-U-Corner. But he was in the car when she returned to her car. Tom wonders why she didn’t tell the truth that night. She says that she was scared. She worried that Harper and Wyatt would be taken away if she got arrested. She thought the two kids would be on their own. She knows she was very stupid.
Tom goes to see Anne. He asks her about what she thinks when she’s watching Maeve in the room. She plans to have a decent shot at conspiracy. But he points out that they cannot get 12 jurors to agree to any of that. She mentions the girl admitted to phoning in the tip and lying when questioned. He thinks Maeve was just afraid of leaving behind the two kids she’s already raising. He mentions she’s a 21-year-old woman, she has no criminal past. He claims that he’s putting her on the stand if he’s the defense.
Emily bikes home. The guy is waiting for her. He tangles her. But she doesn’t want to talk with him. Because her nephew is going to leave. But she agrees to go out with him. She joins Sara after Sara’s son left her. She gives her a hug. Sara cries in Emily’s arms.
Tom visits the director of the juvenile detention facility. He wonders why Sam is in the place. He thinks the kid should be sent to Covenant House. The director reveals the place shut down because of funding. Tom walks into the room. Sam is playing with building blocks. Tom learns that the kid likes chicken very much.
Maeve is released. The cop escorts her home. Harper and Wyatt cry after they saw Maeve. Maeve comforts the two kids. Emily and Sara laugh when they watch the TV together in the living room. Tom takes Sam home. He introduces the kid to the two ladies. He asks one of the ladies to take care of Sam. He goes to prepare dinner. Sara and Emily ask their family to explain it to them. He asks them to shut the door so that Sam won’t hear it.
Sara and Emily are told that Sam is the missing boy. Sara tells Emily that the concussion of their father is worse than they thought. Tom scolds Sara. But Emily takes her sister’s side. Tom reveals he’s going to adopt the kid because the kid doesn’t have a home. Sara thinks her father is a good person. But she reminds him that their life is a mess. But he points out that their mother would support him if she saw the kid. Tom takes Sam to Ethan’s room. The kid sleeps in the bed. He asks Tom to accompany him.
The next day, Tom visits Kathleen with the Edible Arrangement. She eats the fruit. She reveals she’s going to retire. He wonders why OPS is investigating Task. She thinks the investigating is needed because Lizzie was killed when she carried out the missing. He points out that the laptops shouldn’t have been taken away. He mentions he couldn’t get into the office. She reminds him that his assignment is over. But he knows she conceals something from him. She reveals she looked into Grasso and she found out that the guy is a mole of the Dark Hearts. Tom gets angry after knowing the truth. But he’s asked to let OPS handle it. He brings up Jayson and Perry. Kathleen comforts Tom that the two will be arrested soon.
Jayson and Perry hide in the house in the forest. Perry catches a fish. Jayson calls the gangster. He’s told that they didn’t find Eryn. He returns to the house when Perry is killing the fish. Perry blames Jayson for making another call. Jayson tells his friend that he wants to find Eryn. He doesn’t believe that the woman would give up the kids. Perry persuades Jayson to go to take a break. Because they’re going to go to look for the bag.

Tom visits Grasso in the evening. Tom brings up that Lizzie wouldn’t die if they caught Cliff in the park. He reveals he had a talk with Maeve. He knows Robbie and Cliff planned to go to Wissahickon Park. But they went to Bailey Park to arrest Cliff. Grasso believes that Maeve got confused. Because she’s a kid. But Tom talked to the ranger in the park. The camera captured Cliff’s car. Tom shows the photo to Grasso. He asks him why Cliff went to Wissahickon Park. He mentions he did the same thing when he was in another Task force. He persuades Grasso to confess because he thinks it’s the only way to save him. But Grasso refuses to confess because he knows Tom doesn’t have any evidence. Tom swears to let the guy pay the price before he leaves his house.
Tom returns home. Aleah is waiting for him. She complains to him that she was told to be on leave when she wanted to take back her gun. She enters the house with him. She reads the papers. She learns that Grasso is the problem. Perry and Jayson look for Robbie’s bag by the river. Perry finds it. He informs Jayson about it. It makes Jayson come to Perry. Shelley visits Maeve. She gives a bag to her. She reveals Robbie asked her to give it to her. She leaves. Maeve opens the bag. She sees the cash. Perry and Jayson open the bag at the same time. They only find some books. The drugs aren’t in the bag. Robbie laughs when he swims in the lake.
