Maomao and the maids feel cold at the Garden Party in The Apothecary Diaries episode 6. Maomao wants to do something. She offers to make a tent. She and Guiyuan peek at the party. She thinks the consorts will be enemies. Guiyuan introduces Empress Dowager to Maomao. Maomao notes that Empress Dowager is young. She learns that the lady gave birth to two princes. Yinghua has a fight with the two maids of Consort Lihua. Guiyuan and Maomao join Yinghua.
Consort Lihua’s maids mock Maomao. They think Maomao is ugly. Yinghua cannot stand it in The Apothecary Diaries. She wants to beat the two arrogant girls. Fortunately, Yinghua’s friends stop Yinghua. Maomao is surprised that the girl didn’t recognize her. She remembers she got along well with the girl in the Crystal Pavilion. She makes a horrible face. The girl is scared to take her friend away. Yinghua turns around. She worries about Maomao. But Maomao claims that she’s fine. She wants to change warm stones for her friends. Her friends are moved. They figure out that Jinshi cared for Maomao because Maomao is a good girl.
Maomao Receives A Hairpin from Consort Lihua
The agent battle of Consort Lishu and Consort Ah-Duo’s maids begin in The Apothecary Diaries. Guiyuan reveals Consort Lishu was Consort Ah-Duo’s mother-in-law. But she married Emperor. Maomao is shocked after knowing Consort Lishu was a nine-year-old mother-in-law. Maomao takes over the baby Princess Lingli from Hongniang. Lishu passes by. She looks down on Maomao. Maomao sees Lishu off. She notes that the consort wore a peach color dress for fighting Consort Gyokuyou. Hongniang praises Maomao for giving her the warm stone. She leaves. Maomao turns around. She finds out that Consort Lihua’s maids are cold. She walks to them with the warm stones. She tries to give the stones to them. But they’re scared to flee.
Maomao joins her friends. Yinghua thinks Maomao is a good person. Lihaku gives a hairpin to Maomao. He smiles to say goodbye to her. But she thinks he’s a big dog. Lihua thinks the hairpin is too shabby when she shows up with her maids. She puts her hairpin on Maomao. She reveals she came to the place to doing it. Lihua’s maid is shocked. Lihua leaves with her maids. Guiyuan worries that Gyokuyou won’t be happy.
Maomao Is Poisoned But She Enjoys It
Maomao begins to taste the soup for Emperor. She notes that another lady isn’t happy with the job. She wishes to eat a pufferfish. The waitress serves Maomao a bowl of shredded raw fish. Maomao knows Emperor likes the food very much. She eats it. She notes that Lishu is scared when she eats the food. She figures it out that the consort cannot eat fish. But Lishu has to eat it up in front of Emperor. Lihaku’s colleague asks Lihaku to take a look at the lady who tastes the food. Lihaku sees Maomao. He recognizes her.
He sees her joyful face after she ate the food. He mistakes that the dish is delicious. But she reveals the dish is poisonous. She runs away. Jinshi arrives at the banquet. He hears someone calling for help after the minister passed out. He sees Maomao running away. He finds her soon. She wishes him to be good luck. But he scolds her and he thinks she’s good luck instead. She realizes that she smiled when she enjoyed the poison. He takes her hand and he wants to take her to see a doctor.
Maomao claims that she has spit out the poison. She thinks she’s fine. She confesses that she wanted to drink it. So the toxin would be over her body. She asks Jinshi to give the rest soup to her. It promotes him to think that she’s a fool. But she claims that it’s a motivation. He sighs and he reveals someone passed out after he drank the soup. She wishes to know who was the fool. Jinshi reveals the person is a minister. He thinks the banquet was a mess because of the guy.

Maomao takes out an emetic. She asks Jinshi to let the minister use it. He knows it’s a poison. He’s furious to grab the medicine. He takes Maomao to walk forward. She pays attention to his new hairpin. She wonders if eunuchs would receive hairpins. She figures it out that he didn’t appear at the banquet because he was dating a man.
Someone Wants to Murder Consort Lishu
Maomao arrives at the clinic. She takes the medicine and she finds out that the medicine is very useful. Jinshi asks her who poisoned Gyokuyou. But she asks him to take Lishu to the place instead. Lishu visits Jinshi with her maid after the man summoned her. She’s very happy that he summoned her. But she’s told that the one who wants to see her is Maomao. Lishu is shocked after she saw Maomao. She begins to scratch her arm. Maomao lifts Lishu’s sleeve. She sees a lot of rashes on the consort’s arm.

Maomao knows Lishu cannot eat fish. She reveals she cannot eat buckwheat as well. She knows Lishu’s belly isn’t good. She prepared laxatives for her. Lishu is surprised that Maomao knows it. Maomao threatens Lishu’s maid. She gives a book to her. She asks her to take care of her lady well. Lishu and her maid leave Jinshi’s place. Jinshi wishes to know what happened. But Maomao refuses to leak it. He figures it out that someone wanted to kill Lishu. Maomao walks out of Jinshi’s office. She sees Lishu and her maid. She feels tired. Gaoshun thinks the book in episode 5 is related to the cause. Jinshi wonders who was the culprit.
