This is the recap for The Double: Episode 2. Xue Fangfei tells the chief that she will be Jiang Li from now on. She mentions Jiang Li has never left Good Women Hall within ten years. She thinks people forget the looks of Jiang Li. The chief wonders what Xue Fangfei wants to get.
Xue Fangfei Becomes Jiang Li
Xue Fangfei reveals she thinks she can enjoy the glory if Jiang Li’s parents remember Jiang Li. Tong Er hides behind the wall. She takes the scissors. The hall chief walks out of Jiang Li’s house. The girl follows her. She blames Jiang Li for not getting up from bed. But she gets slapped.
The hall chief tells the girl not to care for Jiang Li. She leaves. Tong Er and Xue Fangfei bully Jiang Li under the pear tree. Tong Er attacks Xue Fangfei. She blames her for taking Jiang Li’s identity. Xue Fangfei stops Tong Er when she persuades her. She reminds her that those people who sent Jiang Li to Good Women Hall won’t be sad.
But Tong Er thinks Prime Minister Jiang will take Jiang Li’s side. Xue Fangfei pushes Tong Er away. Xue Fangfei reminds Tong Er that Jiang Li’s stepmother will get a good reputation if Jiang Li is sent back. Tong Er cries. Xue Fangfei admits to Tong Er that she needs Jiang Li’s identity. She tells her that she’s going to explain it for Jiang Li. She plans to let those people see how they leave the bad reputation.
Xue Fangfei walks out of her house. Tong Er wonders why Xue Fangfei came out. Xue Fangfei reveals she wants to help Tong Er pick firewood. But Tong Er mentions what the hall chief said that Xue Fangfei cannot leave the yard. Xue Fangfei sees the girl beaten after the girl lighted the lantern.
Jiang Li wonders why the girl couldn’t touch the lantern. Tong Er reveals the only one who can touch the lantern is the hall chief. Xue Fangfei takes a look at the lantern. The hall chief shows up when Xue Fangfei embroiders the insole. She praises her for her embroidering skills. She reveals she’s going to tell everyone that she’s Jiang Li.
Xue Fangfei sees the hall chief lighting the lantern. She notes that she changed the perfume. Xue Fangfei intends to go out in the evening. Tong Er stops Xue Fangfei. She reveals there’s a tall female ghost outside. Xue Fangfei follows the tall female ghost.
Xue Fangfei Plans to Let Madam Liu Save Her and Tong Er
The hall chief meets with the girl. She reveals Madam Liu is going to come. She lets her make sure that Xue Fangfei and Tong Er don’t come out. Tong Er and Xue Fangfei overhear it. Tong Er realizes that the Madam Liu is Liu Yuanfeng’s wife.
She reveals Madam Liu is Madam Ye’s good friend. She adds that Madam Liu gave a hairpin to Madam Ye. Xue Fangfei sees Madam Liu from her room when Madam Liu visits Good Women Hall. The hall chief takes Madam Liu to her room. Xue Fangfei wakes Tong Er up in the evening. She thinks Madam Liu can help them leave the place.
Tong Er points out that Madam Liu cannot take them away with Jiang family’s order. Jiang Li lets Tong Er give the hairpin to Madam Liu. She thinks Madam Liu will come if she sees the hairpin. But Tong Er worries that the hall chief will betray them. Xue Fangfei reveals the hall chief used Yilan Perfume which the couples use.
Xue Fangfei remembers the maid Hai Tang prepared the Yilan Perfume for her because Shen Yurong didn’t visit her. She tells Tong Er that the lantern wasn’t hung high when the hall chief didn’t use the flirting perfume. She reveals she tailed the hall chief and she saw her seeing the man in Helin Temple.
Xue Fangfei hands over the whip to Tong Er. She lets her wipe her because Jiang Li has injuries. Tong Er cries to whip Xue Fangfei. Xiao Heng chases Young Master Qin in the woods. Young Master Qin disappears after he reached Good Women Hall.
Young Master Qin Kidnaps Xue Fangfei
Xue Fangfei walks into the hall. She finds Young Master Qin. She reminds him that he will be caught if he stays there. She lets him go to the woods of the back mountain. He tries to flee from the window. But Xiao Heng’s followers are waiting for him.
Young Master Qin kidnaps Xue Fangfei. He threatens to kill her. But Xiao Heng lets the guy do it because he will become a murderer. Xiao Heng’s follower tells Young Master Qin to let them catch them. But Young Master Qin plans to die with the beauty. Xiao Heng decides to fulfill the guy’s wish.

Tong Er gets on knees to Madam Liu. She hands over the hairpin to her when she asks her to save Jiang Li. Madam Liu takes a look at the hairpin. She lets Tong Er take her to see Jiang Li. Jiang Li persuades Young Master Qin to give up.

She reminds him that they cannot say nothing when Xiao Heng catches them. She thinks they can survive if they confess. She reveals she’s his partner. Xiao Heng learns that the two are partners. He tells Young Master Qin to kill Xue Fangfei. Young Master Qin cuts Xue Fangfei’s neck. The bodyguard catches the chance to fight with him. Xue Fangfei’s veil drops. Xiao Heng sees her face. The bodyguard takes down Xue Fangfei. He asks Xiao Heng to take a look at the beauty because he thinks she looks familiar.
Xiao Heng remembers he saw Xue Fangfei on the street. He was told that she’s the top 1 talented woman in Country Huai. She left because she heard that he was ruthless. Xiao Heng touches Xue Fangfei’s chin with his fan. He thinks she’s Ms. Xue. She claims that he mistook her for someone. He agrees with what her said. Because he knows Xue Fangfei is dead. He doesn’t believe that she would be a bandit in the mountain.
Young Master Qin asks Xiao Heng not to trust Xue Fangfei when he’s caught. Xiao Heng stuffs the guy’s mouth with an orange. Young Master Qin is taken away. Xiao Heng promises Xue Fangfei that he will release her after he interrogates her. But she thinks he looked down on her. She claims that she would sell smuggled salt even if she’s the person of Chastity Women Hall. She thinks he should take her because she knows more than Young Master Qin. He learns that she’s begging him to lock her up. He thinks she’s interesting. She reminds him that he cannot torture her at the place.
Madam Liu knocks at the door of the room. She asks Xue Fangfei if she’s in the room. Xiao Heng realizes that the beauty would star another dress if he didn’t enter the room. He grabs her chin. She tells him that he will know the truth as long as he took her to the capital. She promises to sing it as long as he ties her up and takes her out of the house.
The door is opened. Tong Er finds out that her lady is tied up. She tries to approach Xue Fangfei. But she’s stopped by the bodyguard. The bodyguard claims that Xue Fangfei is the criminal of Duke Mansion. Madam Liu asks Xiao Heng what happened. He explains it to her that the woman is the accomplice of the criminal. So he wants to take her back. Madam Liu thinks there was a misunderstanding. Tong Er introduces Madam Liu to Xue Fangfei. Xue Fangfei is very happy after knowing Madam Liu is her aunt. She tries to walk to the madam. But she’s stopped by the bodyguard. She asks Madam Liu to save her. She claims that she was wronged. Madam Liu promises to help Xue Fangfei. She thinks Xiao Feng should inform the chief of Chastity Woman Hall before he takes away Xue Fangfei. Xue Fangfei asks her aunt to go to beg the chief. Madam Liu leaves.
The chief is sleeping in her bed in the evening. The man climbs onto her bed. He kisses her. She wakes up. She pushes the man away. She questions him why he came. He explains it to her that he came because he hung the lantern. He rides her and he tries to sleep with her. But she rejects it because there’s a guest. She asks him to leave. He comforts her that he confirmed it that there’s nobody outside.
Madam Liu breaks into the chief’s room when the chief is sleeping with the man. She lets the servants arrest the chief and her boyfriend. The two are taken to see Xiao Heng. The chief claims that she was wronged. But Madam Liu doesn’t believe the woman’s words. Because she witnessed it. She orders the servants to take away the two.
Xiao Heng decides to take away Xue Fangfei. But she passes out in his arms. The bodyguard reminds Xiao Heng that the girl was hurt. Xiao Heng asks the bodyguard to prepare a room for Xue Fangfei. He asks another bodyguard to interrogate Tong Er. Tong Er passes out.
Madam Liu takes care of Xue Fangfei in the room. Xue Fangfei wakes up. Madam Liu wonders where Xue Fangfei got the injure. She figures it out that the whore tortured Xue Fangfei. She takes out the hairpin. She reveals she knew she suffered after she saw the hairpin.
