The Water Magician: Episode 4 Recap

Ryo takes the class with other adventurers in The Water Magician episode 4. The teacher reveals they’re going to the fist floor of the dungeon. Amon is excited after he heard the good news. Ryo asks the teacher if there’s a teleportation function in the dungeon. He’s told that there’s no such a function in the kingdom. It promotes Amon to think that Ryo is very knowledgeable.

Ryo laughs. He reveals he just heard the function. The teacher takes the students to the dungeon. He introduces the double protective barrier. Ryo learns that the barrier was built for blocking the attack of the monster. Amon worries about it after he heard Great Tsunami. The teacher comforts Amon that Great Tsunami won’t happen immediately.

Ryo and Amon enter the dungeon with other rookies. Ryo helps Amon relax. The teacher lets the adventurers be free to move about because there’s no dangerous monster on the floor. Ryo senses the monster. He asks Amon to kill the monster when he uses the magic to hold the monster back. The ant appears. Ryo teaches Amon that he can kill the ant easily if he cuts off the ant’s head.

Ryo summons ice spikes to attack the ant. The ant cannot move. Amon catches the chance to defeat the enemy. He’s happy to tell Ryo that they made it. But Ryo reminds the boy that they should take away the core of the monster. Amon is surprised that they can do it. Ryo claims that they should earn money in the dungeon because they’re adventurers. He stabs the ant. He takes out the core.

Ryo and Amon return to the guild. Nils throws a party for celebrating the two entering the dungeon. He wishes to drink wine. Eto praises Amon for killing the ant. Amon is very humble to reveal that Ryo helped him kill the ant. He plans to explore the dungeon again. But he worries that he’s not strong enough. Ryo volunteers to join Amon because he wants to go to the third floor of the dungeon.

Amon is excited after he heard the good news. But Ryo minds the ant. Because it didn’t appear on the first floor before. Abel explains it to Ryo when he shows up. Ryo blames the guy for coming to bully a rookie. But Abel claims that he just helped a rookie. He introduces himself to the three boys. He asks them to get along well with Ryo.

Nils stands up. He expresses that he wishes to shake hands with Abel. Because he idolizes the hero. Abel shakes hands with Nils. He asks the boy to survive from the dungeon. Ryo wonders why Abel is still in the guild. Abel reveals he just came back. Rin and Lihya show up behind Abel. Rin isn’t happy after she found Abel. Lihya reminds the guy that he needs to report it to Guild Master. She suspects that he intends to flee.

Abel explains it to the lady that he’s teaching the rookies. But Rin lets Warren carry Abel away. She approaches Ryo. She stares at him. Lihya asks Ryo to lend Abel to them. Because they need to report it to Guild Master. Ryo lets Lihya deal with Abel because Abel is the chief of Crimson Sword. Abel blames Ryo for betraying him. Nils sees Abel off. He thinks the man is very handsome. Lihya and Rin are on the way to Guild Master’s office. Lihya thinks Rin was very rude. But Rin points out that she cared for Ryo because he’s a powerful magician. Abel believes that people will know Ryo’s strength one day.

Ryo and Amon explore the dungeon together. Ryo praises Amon after the boy killed some wolves. They take a break. Ryo thinks Amon’s swordsmanship is like Abel’s swordsmanship. He remembers Amon learned the swordsmanship from the former adventurer. Amon reveals his teacher learned the swordsmanship from the captain. Ryo tells Amon that he will be an outstanding swordsman like Abel.

Amon is surprised that Ryo knows swordsmanship very well. He knows Ryo is a magician. Ryo reveals there was a master accompanying him to practice swordplay. He wonders if Amon recovers. Amon claims that he’s fine. But Ryo asks the boy not to say so. He knows his combat style is prone to fatigue. Amon is lost after knowing Ryo thinks so. Ryo suggests that Amon should run to improve his endurance. He reveals Abel practiced swordplay in the morning even if Abel is a swordsmanship prodigy. Amon decides to work hard like Abel.

The next day, Ryo goes to the library. The Librarian recommends some alchemy books to Ryo. Ryo is outside the library. He sits on the bench. He decides to buy one of the books. The sky darkens. Solar eclipse appears. Ryo has a bad feeling that the world has changed. Someone attacks Ryo with fireball. Fortunately, he uses his water spell to block it.

The devil girl Leonore carries a fireball to walk to Ryo. She plans to kill the boy to resolve the matter. He figures it out that the girl is a devil. He realizes that he should run away from the space. He blocks her fireball with his ice wall. But she shoots him. She’s surprised that her wind bullet didn’t hurt him. She recognizes the robe he wears.

Leonore learns that she can only cut Ryo. She pulls out her sword. She fights Ryo. Ryo casts the water spell to her. But she avoids the attack. He realizes that she increased her speed with her wind magic. She recognizes his sword. She knows the sword belonged to Elf King. She tries to summon the fireball. But he puts it out with his water spell. It promotes her to think that he’s a monster.

Ryo hurts Leonore’s face. But she possesses a remarkable regeneration rate. The time is up. She has to leave. She tells Ryo that they will see each other again. Ryo goes to claim the bounty. He returns to the dormitory. He sees the adventurer Dan bullying his roommates. He gives the boy a lesson. Ryo takes his roommates to take bath. Eto heals Ryo’s wound on his shoulder. He thinks Ryo would be killed if the enemy hit his heart. Ryo reveals he managed to avoid it so that his heart wasn’t hurt.
