Four years ago, Tang Lici and Liu Yan have a meeting in the Peach Woods of Zhoudi Tower in Whispers of Fate episode 2. Tang Lici tries to explain it to Liu Yan when the guy plays the lute. Liu Yan brings up that Fang Zhou taught them and Zhu Mei the skills under the flowers. He thinks the days were pretty good. But Fang Zhou is dead even if the flowers are there. Zhu Mei went missing after Fang Zhou passed away.
West Wind Swordsman
Liu Yan offers to play the song again because it was written by Tang Lici. But Tang Lici thinks Fang Zhou’s classic songs are better than his song. Because he made it for fun when he was a kid. Liu Yan thinks it’s the best song he listened ever. He begins to play. Tang Lici drops his tea cup. He plays his zither as well. The peach blossoms drift in the breeze. The scene is very beautiful. But Liu Yan attacks Tang Lici suddenly. Tang Lici spits blood. He’s surprised when he looks at Liu Yan. Liu Yan sheds a tear. He thinks only the song is match for the death of Tang Lici. He and Tang Lici have a fight. The pavilion collapses because of the powers of the two.
Liu Yan flies to the roof of the pavilion. He strokes his lute. Tang Lici descends from the air. He stands on the lake. One of his hands holds the zither. He spits blood suddenly. He realizes that Liu Yan put a curse on him. Liu Yan thinks he wouldn’t make it if Tang Lici didn’t meet him with the injury. He’s furious to tell the guy that he wants to chop him into pieces. He uses the sound wave to attack Tang Lici. Tang Lici summons a water dragon. But he gives up the mind when Liu Yan rushes to him. He spins his zither. It makes some water columns to attack Liu Yan. Liu Yan steps back. He’s not hurt. He hits the lake with his lute. He makes a giant wave. Tang Lici makes a giant wave as well. He closes his eyes when Liu Yan rushes to him.
Liu Yan takes Tang Lici ashore. He grabs him by the throat. Tang Lici’s flute falls to the ground. Liu Yan takes out his sword. He stabs Tang Lici in his stomach. He yells. He draws his sword. He releases Tang Lici. He has a headache. Tang Lici picks up his flute. He’s weak to call Liu Yan. Liu Yan turns around. He cuts Tang Lici and his flute. The flute is cut off.
We return to the present. Tang Lici walks into his room with the pouch. He learns that Liu Yan plans to kill him again since he got him involved in the murder case of Hao Mansion. He decides to take a look if his friend can kill him again.
We go to Yang Mansion. Yang Shangqing asks Lady Zhong and Chi Yun to release him. Because Tang Lici was the culprit. Lady Zhou thinks it’s very dangerous since the evil guy showed up in the world. But Chi Yun knows Yang Shangqing pretended to be silly. He asks him why he wanted to kill Mr. Hao. Yang Shangqing tries to confess. But he’s killed by the dart. Chi Yun goes to chase the assassin. Lady Zhong finds a little porcelain vase on the ground. She opens the vase. She sees a pill. She smells the pill. She learns that it’s Ape Ghost Nine Hearts Pill.
Tang Lici walks out of Golden Leaf Temple. He remembers the Abbot believed that he will reach the other shore. He smiles. He’s serious to tell Liu Yan that he’s going to come to look for him. Chi Yun chases the assassin in the forest. He blocks his way. He claims that nobody is his rival in agility techniques. The assassin tries to flee. Chi Yun casts his rings to the guy. But a big wild-goose blocks the rings. Chi Yun figures it out that the guy comes from Wild-Goose Sect. The wild-goose helps the assassin flee.
Lady Zhong chases Chi Yun to the lakeside. She wonders where the guy went. A Shui waves at Lady Zhong on a ship. Lady Zhong boards the ship. She wonders why A Shui is on the ship. A Shui reveals Tang Lici took her there. She mentions what the gentleman said that they would encounter Lady Zhong. Lady Zhong and A Shui enter the cabin. Tang Lici tells Lady Zhong that she cannot reach Chi Yun because the guy is the cloud in sky. She wonders why he and A Shui came. He claims that they should take the victim since they’re going to hunt the murderer. He reveals the person she wants to look for is ten miles away from them. He thinks they should choose the water path.
She’s surprised that he has known it. She points out that the guy isn’t ordinary fighter. He thinks the person won’t go missing because Chi Yun is there. He thinks they can reach the guy. He casts a jade bead to the switch. The system begins to work. She wonders why he believes that Chi Yun will come to their side. He claims that he just knows the destination of the murderer. She figures it out that he knows who’s the murderer. He takes the feather. He reveals he got the information because his personal affairs. There’s a clue pointing to the place. Half a year ago, West Wind Swordsman Feng Chuanxiang went missing in the Lingering Little Cottage. There were only the footprints of Feng Chuanxiang at the scene. There were two people living in the Little Cottage. The roommate went missing as well after the swordsman went missing. The answer is on the Wild Goose Feather.
Tang Lici tells Lady Zhong that it’s not ordinary Wild Goose Feather. He hands over the feather to her. She takes a look at the feather. She finds out that the feather comes from the carrier wild goose of Wild Goose Sect. He thinks the murderer would go to the west if he doesn’t want to get the sect involved. He guesses the murderer will encounter them even if the guy flies to the east. She thinks it’s impossible. A Shui asks Lady Zhong about Wild Goose Sect. Lady Zhong reveals the people of Wild Goose Sect were bandits. But they were recruited by the previous dynasty. They became the officers who guarded Wild Goose Gate. They were good at training wild goose. Ten years ago, the world was in a chaos. Sword Meeting leaded the top fighters to raid Yique Yinyang. Wild Goose Sect provided a great deal of key intelligence. The chief Jiang Feiyu had a terrible temper. But he protected his disciples. So the disciples valued loyalty and friendship. A Shui learns that Wild Goose Sect is a good sect. Tang Lici points out that Yang Shangqing came from a good sect as well. Lady Zhong puts the little porcelain vase on the table. She reveals she got it from Yang Shangqing. She tells Tang Lici that her master asked her to go down the mountain for the case. He takes a look at the porcelain vase. She mentions the evil pill went missing after Yique Yinyang passed away. He reveals he cared for the evil pill as well. Because he left the temple. A Shui persuades Lady Zhong not to worry about it. She invites her to eat the biscuits with her.
Chi Yun fights the assassin on the plain. He takes off the assassin’s task. He kicks him. He asks him to confess it to him who sent him to kill Yang Shangqing. The assassin wishes Chi Yun not to force him. He takes out the little porcelain vase. Chi Yun mistakes that the assassin is going to take the poison. He tries to stop him. The assassin takes the pill in the end. His eyes are red. Chi Yun realizes that the assassin didn’t take poison. He casts the rings to the assassin. The assassin rushes to Chi Yun. He cuts him. Fortunately, Chi Yun evades the attack.
Tang Lici knows Chi Yun is in danger. He flies to the assassin. He deals him a severe blow. He’s dashing to land. He tells Chi Yun that he has regressed. But the guy claims that he didn’t give it his all. The assassin climbs out of the pit. He rushes to Tang Lici. Tang Lici fights the guy. He makes him get on knees to him. Lady Zhong recognizes the assassin when she watches the fight with A Shui on the ship. The assassin is Jiang Cheng who’s the young master of Wild Goose Sect. He’s a good guy. He’s the best friend of West Wind Swordsman. The two helped the weak in Flower Brook. They were called Flower Brook Couple Heroes. Lady Zhong wonders why the guy turned out like that.
Tang Lici chants the incantation. Jiang Cheng drops his sword. He comes to his senses. He wonders if someone was hurt. Chi Yun tells the guy not to pretend it. Jiang Cheng claims that he doesn’t remember it. Lady Zhong joins the group. She calls Jiang Cheng. But he avoids her. He denies his identity. She reveals she saw him and West Wind Swordsman in Central Sword Meeting. She thinks she isn’t wrong. Chi Yun decides to take the guy to Wild Goose Sect. He thinks the people of Wild Goose Sect can explain it for Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng picks up his sword. He tries to kill himself. Tang Lici saves Jiang Cheng. But his hand is hurt by the sword. A Shui worries about Tang Lici. She checks his wound in his hand. She finds out that it healed itself. She looks at him with suspicion. She takes out her handkerchief. She dresses up his wound. She persuades him not to move because he was hurt. He takes over the broken sword from Chi Yun. He guesses Jiang Cheng worried that what he did would damage the reputation of Wild Goose Sect. Chi Yun thinks the people of Wild Goose Sect are dirty. Jiang Cheng stops Chi Yun. He thinks he knows nothing about it. But Chi Yun claims that he doesn’t have to know it.
Tang Lici brings up Ape Ghost Nine Hearts Pill. Jiang Cheng is startled to step back. He thinks he didn’t mistake Tang Lici for someone else. Tang Lici tells Jiang Cheng that he’s not the person. He gives him a treatment when the poison has an attack. He guesses he doesn’t want to die because he has a mission. He takes him away because he knows he wants to have a talk alone.
Chi Yun, Lady Zhong and A Shui are on the way to look for Tang Lici. Lady Zhong asks A Shui about Tang Lici’s injury. A Shui comforts Lady Zhong that the gentleman will be fine after she applies some medicine on him. She asks Chi Yun about the pill because their faces were changed when they talked about it. Lady Zhong reveals it’s the stuff that Yique Yinyang used for manipulating people. Chi Yun tells A Shui that the pill can help people get stronger. The pill was treated as supplement in the beginning. But those guys found out that they were set up soon. A Shui wonders what happened. Lady Zhong explains it to the girl that people will go mad if they don’t take the pill all the time. So the people who control the pill control the lives of those guys. Yique Yinyang controlled the whole world with the method.
Tang Lici and Jiang Cheng go to the lake. Jiang Cheng reveals he visited Feng Chuanxiang after he had a fight with his father. They lived in the Flower Brook Mountain. They practiced martial arts. His martial arts advanced. He mistook that he made it because Feng Chuanxiang accompanied him to practice. He didn’t expect that the guy took the evil pill. He added the pill into the food and he gave it to Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng knew the truth. He asked Feng Chuanxiang why he did it. Feng Chuanxiang refused to leak it. He asked Jiang Cheng to trust him. Jiang Cheng doesn’t need Feng Chuanxiang’s help at all. He doesn’t want to advance in such a way. He refused to take the pill. He asks Feng Chuanxiang to help him suppress the toxicity of the pill. But it was too painful. Half a year ago, Feng Chuanxiang went missing. Jiang Cheng went to look for his friend. But he failed. So he took the pills Feng Chuanxiang bought. He wanted to track down where Feng Chuanxiang bought those pills. He found Yang Shangqing.

The Wild Goose flies in the sky. Chief Jiang is told that his son is in the reed marsh. Chi Yun, Lady Zhong and A Shui arrive when Jiang Cheng dies. Tang Lici finds the insect. Lady Zhong sees the wild gooses in the sky. She guesses the people of Wild Goose Sect treated them as the murderers. Chi Yun persuades Tang Lici to be careful. Because he heard the Wild Goose Formation is famous.
Chief Jiang is furious to order the wild goose to attack Tang Lici and his friends. Tang Lici confesses that he was the one who killed Jiang Cheng. He agrees to be interrogated in Wild Goose Sect. The wild goose ceases his attack. Tang Lici and his people are surrounded. Tang Lici reveals Chi Yun is his accomplice.
Liu Yan plays lute in the pavilion in the evening. The guy shows up. He reports to Liu Yan that he has completed the task. He wonders why he didn’t kill Tang Lici. Liu Yan thinks it’s not funny if he killed Tang Lici. Because Tang Lici is a monster. The beauty lands from the air. She joins the guy Hua Wuyan. He greets her. He calls her Lady Hong. Lady Hong hugs Liu Yan. She persuades the chief not to let the guy die easily. He grabs her arm. He claims that he can kill Tang Lici the second time since he killed the guy ever. He asks her to give him an idea how to kill the guy. She offers to let the guy die after he’s scolded by people. He thinks it’s a good idea.
Chi Yun and Tang Lici are locked up in the cages. Chi Yun claims that he was wronged. He thinks Wild Goose Sect is a terrible sect. Tang Lici asks Chi Yun not to speak. Because his ear hurts. Chi Yun blames Tang Lici for getting him involved. Tang Lici explains it to the guy that he didn’t want to be alone. He takes out the insect. Chi Yun wonders why Tang Lici takes the stuff. Tang Lici reveals it’s his enemy’s insect. He thinks nobody could do it expect the guy. He thinks Chi Yun to think about the guy’s plan. Chi Yun figures it out that the guy framed Tang Lici. Tang Lici thinks Chi Yun is right. He knows nobody can prove his innocence.
Chi Yun sees two large pots. He realizes that those guys are going to boil him and Tang Lici. He persuades Tang Lici not to carve the wood. He asks the guy to come up with a way. But Tang Lici refuses to do that because he doesn’t want to leave the cage. Chi Yun thinks Tang Lici is sick.
Lady Zhong takes A Shui to persuade Second Uncle Jiang. But he scolds her. He reminds her that Jiang Cheng is the only son of Chief Jiang. He doesn’t believe that Jiang Cheng would take the pill. She explains it to him that Tang Lici helped Jiang Cheng suppress the toxicity. She thinks A Shui can testify. Chief Jiang stops Lady Zhong. He thinks she knows nothing because she didn’t lose a son. He’s furious to walk away.

The sword power appears. Lady Zhong guesses it’s Feng Chuanxiang who has been missing for a long time. Feng Chuanxiang appears after he put out the fire. He asks Chief Jiang to leave the case to him if he trusts him. He summons Jiang Cheng’s wild goose. He asks Chief Jiang for Tang Lici. But Chief Jiang needs to think about it.
