The girl Me-Ri is interviewed at a company in Would You Marry Me episode 1. She gives a presentation. She plans to promote cab at the celebration. Her idea is very good. But the interviewer doesn’t respect her. So she has a fight with him.

Me-Ri goes to the printing company. She talks with her employee Song-Hee over the phone. Jenny is told that Me-Ri failed after she brought trouble. Me-Ri comforts Song-Hee that she won’t let her starve. Because she’s her only employee. But Song-Hee doesn’t think so because they didn’t get any case this month. Me-Ri wonders if they didn’t get any case on the social media. Song-Hee walks into the office. She checks her computer. She finds out that they have two cases. One of the cases is helping a coffee shop design logo. The coffee shop asked for the previous design. Me-Ri offers to give the tea design to the company. She plans to go to the department store later.
Me-Ri asks the owner of the printing company to reduce the saturation of her packaging. He points out that nobody will notice it. She claims that she won’t sell it to her customers if she thinks it’s not right. Me-Ri goes to the department store. She gets the ring from the salesgirl. She texts her boyfriend Woo-Joo. She asks him when he will be over.
Woo-Joo is kissing a girl in a room. He tries to take off his clothes. But he receives the message. He tells a lie to her girlfriend that he’s having meeting. She cheers him up after knowing he needs to work overtime. Me-Ri returns home. She complains it to her mother Young-Sook that she doesn’t want to hold a wedding ceremony. She mentions her mother-in-law asked her to hold the wedding ceremony at a hotel. Young-Sook takes her in-law’s side. She thinks the madam did it for her face.
Young-Sook is told that Me-Ri came to her new house to pack stuff. She doesn’t know Woo-Joo moved into the house. Me-Ri realizes that her fiance didn’t call her mother. She brings up that she and Woo-Joo cannot live in the house without her mother’s help. But Young-Sook claims that she gave Me-Ri and Woo-Joo money for letting Woo-Joo be nice to Me-Ri. She asks Me-Ri not to remind her fiance that he didn’t pay the rent. She thinks the man will lose his face. Me-Ri claims that she’s a good wife like Young-Sook. She wants to repay her mother. But she steps on something.
Me-Ri finds out that what she stepped on was a woman’s earring. She finds a woman’s hair from the bed. She meets Woo-Joo at a cafe. He shows her the photos. He brings up that he took the photos when he played golf with the investor. But she knows Sweet-Jenny 97 liked each of his photos. She asks him who is the girl. He reveals the girl Jenny is his colleague. She wonders if he slept with the girl. He denies it. But she throw the girl’s earring to the table. She asks him to explain it why the earring appeared on the bed. She shows him Jenny’s photo that Jenny wears the same earring. He explains it to her that he took his colleagues to visit the house after they went to study. He keeps the earring.
Me-Ri points out that the only colleague who went to study with Woo-Joo was Jenny. She shows the photo that Jenny is at the pool villa. She knows her fiance slept with the girl because it was a two-day, one-night trip. She threatens to go to his company to catch the mistress. He claims that he’s the Adam who ate the forbidden fruit. He thinks he did it because he was tired. He brings up that she argued with him because of the wedding. She yells at him that the wedding isn’t only her case. She claims that she was busy as well. He thinks he’s jerk. He slaps himself. But she refuses to let it go. He reminds her that she will be a divorced woman if she breaks up with him. He thinks she will feel wronged. He persuades her that Jenny is just a passerby. He grabs her hand when he thinks he and the girl are over. But she shakes off his hand. He receives a message from Jenny. She asks him to come to her house when she wears a beautiful dress.
Me-Ri sees Jenny’s photo. She stops Woo-Joo when he tries to put his cell phone away. She claims that she will suspect him all her life if she doesn’t check his phone. But he steps on her hand when he tries to delete the photo. She divorces him. She throws coffee at him.
The man Woo-Joo is on the plane at the airport in New York. They guy wishes to switch seats with Woo-Joo. Because he wants to sit with his mother. But Woo-Joo rejects it. The grandma thanks Woo-Joo after they arrived in Korea. We are told that Woo-Joo did it because he heard the man planned to sell his mother’s house. He tells the grandma not to trust anyone. Woo-Joo leaves the airport. He gets a call from his grandma Pil-Nyeon. She wishes him to come home because she picked a lot of pumpkins. But he rejects it because he wants to take a vacation.
Me-Ri and Woo-Joo get divorced. They leave the court. Me-Ri mentions she didn’t think about it when Woo-Joo asked her to marry him. He points out that her mother wouldn’t pay the rent if they didn’t get married. She’s furious to ask him if he married her for her mother. He denies it. He wonders if her mother said something. He’s told that she didn’t dare to tell it to her mother. She asks him to take away his stuff. Because she plans to sell the house. He asks her to forget him. He runs to his new lover who’s waiting for him at the airport.
Me-Ri is on the bus. She sees the couples on the street. She wonders if someone can break up with panache. She goes to play baseball. She thinks she and Woo-Joo’s relationship is broken. She remembers the guy loved her ever. She thinks she can live well without him. She cries.
Woo-Joo is going to leave the house. The house owner stops him. She gives him a piece of cornbread. He promises to bring a piece of bread when he visits. He reveals his family owns a bakery. Pil-Nyeon is interviewed at the bakery Myungsoondang. She runs her business well. Me-Ri is at home. She finds out that she didn’t submit the divorce agreement for Woo-Joo. She puts the agreement into her bag. The cop visits her. She goes to the police station. She’s told that the landlord she signed with was a fake. She needs to move out of the house and she cannot take back her rent.
Me-Ri walks out of the police station. She contacts Woo-Joo. She wishes him to help her because she knows his uncle is a prosecutor. But he refuses to help her. He asks her not to contact him because they’re not related anymore. Me-Ri drinks at the restaurant. She agrees with what Woo-Joo said that they’re not related. But she points out that she didn’t submit the divorce agreement.
Me-Ri gets a call from her mother. Young-Sook wants to send the fish and cucumber to her in-laws. She asks Me-Ri that if her in-laws changed her address. Me-Ri asks her mother not to send it. She tears up when her mother mentions her shoulders. Me-Ri feels guilty. Young-Sook mistakes that her daughter grew up.
Woo-Joo drives on the street. He hits the drunk Me-Ri. He gets off his car. He sees her. He wants to take her to the hospital because he thinks she was hurt. But she claims that she’s fine. So he gives his number to her. She checks the number. She learns that his name is Woo-Joo that is her ex-husband’s name. She mistakes him for her ex-husband. She punches him. She blames him for not picking up her phone. She tells him that running away cannot resolve the problem. He claims that he’s not the guy who runs away. It makes her laugh. She asks him to take the duty. He mistakes it for the settlement payment. He wonders how much she’s going to ask for. She asks him to pay her one billion won. He thinks she’s unreasonable.
Me-Ri beats Woo-Joo. She asks him to repay her mother’s money to him. He’s confused. He returns to his car. But she gets into his car. She fastens her seatbelt. He gets off his car. He tries to drag her out of his car. She kicks him. He manages to let her leave his car. He tries to leave. But she jumps on him and she covers his eyes. He shakes off her. She cries to blame him for making her be a divorced woman. He reminds her that she’s sitting on a cactus. She screams.
Me-Ri is sent to the hospital. The doctor Jin-Gyeong takes out the cactus spines for Me-Ri. Jin-Gyeong walks Woo-Joo at the hospital. She tells him that the girl is fine. She reminds him that she handled it because of him. He thanks her. He reveals she was the only person he thought about. She blames him for not calling her. She knows he came back one month ago. He wonders how she knew he came back. She reminds him that her father is the attending physician of his grandma. She wonders if the woman is his girlfriend. He denies it. He reveals he hit the drunk woman. She asks him to buy her a cup of coffee since she gave the woman a treatment. He agrees. But he sees Me-Ri. He runs away.
Woo-Joo gives Me-Ri a ride. She claims that she could take a cab. She explains it to him that she did it because she mistook him for someone. He opens the window of the roof because she reeks of alcohol when she speaks. He stops his car on the bridge because she wants to vomit. She gets off his car. She sees the sunrise. She thinks it wants to send a message to her. But her stomach growls. She offers to buy him a breakfast. But he rejects it.
Woo-Joo drives Me-Ri home. She wants to pay the fare. But he drives away. She enters her house. She lies in the bed. The president of Beaute Department Store Sung-Woo holds a raffle. He plans to let the nephew of mayor win the lottery. But he makes a mistake. Me-Ri gets a call from Mr. Kwon. She’s told that she won the lottery. She’s asked to provide marriage certificate. Mr. Kwon reports to Sang-Hyun that Me-Ri meets the requirements. But Sang-Hyun asks Mr. Kwon to delay the award ceremony. He’s told that Me-Ri’s husband cannot attend the ceremony because the guy is overseas. He goes against it.
Mr. Kwon calls Me-Ri. He threatens her that she will be disqualified if her husband doesn’t come. He claims that it’s the rules. She contacts Woo-Joo. She reveals she won a lottery. She wishes him to come back. But he blocks her number when he has fun with Jenny. Me-Ri is on the rooftop. She looks at the Beaute Palace. She complains that she cannot get the palace. Another Woo-Joo calls her. He asks her if he went to see a doctor. She tries to text him. But she sees his name Woo-Joo. She figures it out that the people of the department store won’t know who she takes. Because they didn’t see him.
