Woo-Joo is sleeping in his bedroom in Would You Marry Me episode 2. He has a nightmare that he and his parents were in a car accident. He wakes up from the nightmare. He takes out the medicine from the drawer. He takes the pills. He remembers he saw someone at the scene of the car accident. He asked the person to save him. Me-Ri is in the living room. She receives a message from Woo-Joo who asks her if she went to see a doctor. She wonders if she should ask him a favor. Because his name is similar to her ex-husband’s name.
Me-Ri remembers Woo-Joo was nice to her. She thinks he’s a good person. She calls him because he just needs to show up at the awards ceremony. The two have a meeting at the cafe soon. Me-Ri asks Woo-Joo to play her husband. He tries to leave because he thinks she was kidding. But she stops him. She begs him because the case is related to her life. He decides to listen to what she says. He returns to his seat. She’s happy to thank him. She explains it to him that she and his husband planned to go to a department store. He thinks they want to go shopping. She denies it. She wonders if she needs to tell him that she won a lottery when she drinks.
Me-Ri asks Woo-Joo to come to the department store. He learns that he just needs to play her husband. She promises him that she will give him some money. But he asks her for one hundred million won. She thinks it’s too much. He brings up that she asked him for one hundred million won. She remembers that night. She explains it to him that she mistook him for someone because she was drunk. He thinks she wants to blackmail him. She admits that she does it for money. He learns that she found a fool who’s easy to be tricked. He thinks she shouldn’t live in such a way. He swears to let her pay the price if she does something evil. She realizes that he didn’t want to help her. She wonders why he acted that he wants to help her. He confesses it to her that he wants to make her unhappy. She complains it to him that he doesn’t know her heartache. But he thinks he doesn’t have to know it. Because he won’t help a con artist. He leaves the cafe.
Pil-Nyeon arrives at Myungsoondang. She reveals she plans to let Woo-Joo be the team leader of Marketing Team. Mi-Yeon is shocked after knowing it. She worries about her son Eung-Soo. She thinks her mother wants to drive away her son. But Pil-Nyeon claims that it’s just a demotion. Mi-Yeon says that she’s in anger. Pil-Nyeon brings up that Eung-Soo didn’t do his best. Mi-Yeon reminds her mother that people will think she favors her grandson. But Pil-Nyeon points out that she gave Eung-Soo a chance. She asks Han-Gu to take away his wife.
Eung-Soo laughs when he watches something in his father’s office. Mi-Yeon walks into the office. He asks her to taste their new product. She’s surprised that he doesn’t get angry. She mentions Woo-Joo is going to take his position. He reveals he plans to be a wet leaf. But she thinks he’s just a dog who was kicked aside. She reminds him that everything about him will be taken away by Woo-Joo if he cannot be accepted by his grandma. She beats him after knowing his son is so useless.
Han-Gu shows up. Eung-Soo asks his father to stop his mother. But Han-Gu asks his son to comfort Mi-Yeon instead. Mi-Yeon blames her husband for not saying something. She thinks her mother looked down their son because he did nothing. She persuades him to go against her mother one time because he has worked for the company for thirty years. But he points out that it will help his son grow up. It makes her angry. He comforts her that he’s going to make a reservation at the restaurant she likes.
Jin-Gyeong returns to her dormitory. She’s tired to lie in the bed. She gets a call from Woo-Joo. Her head is hurt when she gets up from the bed. She’s happy to pick up the phone. The two have a meeting at the hospital. Jin-Gyeong learns that Woo-Joo is going to begin his work tomorrow. She thinks he will be busy and his grandma will be happy. She mentions he didn’t come back during that period. He reveals he knows she would take care of his grandma. She points out that she cannot take care of his grandma all the time. Because she’s not the granddaughter-in-law. He mistakes that she has feelings for Eung-Soo. She’s furious to deny it. She asks him about the woman who was hurt by the cactus. She mentions the woman didn’t come to the hospital. He tells her not to care for the woman because the woman is fine. He guesses the woman’s head was hurt. Because she asked him to be her husband.
Jin-Gyeong guesses the woman has feelings for Woo-Joo. He denies it. He thinks the woman has her reasons. But he doesn’t want to listen to it. The little girl runs past Jin-Gyeong and Woo-Joo. She falls down and she cries. Woo-Joo notices the pendant on the little girl’s bag. He remembers the little girl gave him a doll at the hospital. He walks to the little girl with her bag. He tells her that the tiger will come if she cries. She stops crying. He returns the bag to her. She leaves with her mother.
Jin-Gyeong wonders where Woo-Joo learned the words. He reveals he learned it from his grandma. He mentions the pendant doll. She offers to buy him a pendant doll. But he rejects it. She remembers someone gave him such a doll. He took it to the United States. She asked him if it was given by his first love. He claims that the girl isn’t his first love. Because he doesn’t know her name. He guesses she’s doing well.
The landlady takes the workers to break into Me-Ri’s house in the evening. They want to measure the house. Me-Ri leaves her house. She goes to the playground. She sits on the swing. She gets a call from her mother. Her mother wants to know the date of her wedding. Because she wants to buy the plane ticket. Me-Ri plans to tell it to her mother that she divorced Woo-Joo. But she doesn’t know how to speak it out.
The next day, Woo-Joo visits Han-Gu in the office. Han-Gu is very happy when he sees Woo-Joo. Woo-Joo brings up that Han-Gu took cared of him when he was a kid. Han-Gu introduces Woo-Joo to the employees. Han-Gu runs into Eung-Soo at the elevator. He mentions the chairman is going to attend the meeting. He asks him to prepare it.
The meeting begins. Sun-Hee gives a presentation. She reveals she plans to launch the gift box. But Eung-Soo points out that they don’t hold the copyright. Se-Jung calls Song-Hee after the meeting. She wishes to get the copyright. But she’s told that she needs to pay fifty million won. She promises to give Song-Hee an answer after they have a meeting. Song-Hee asks Me-Ri if she wants to get fifty million won. Me-Ri denies it. She reveals she minds the phone in the morning. Two hours ago, Eung-Soo called Me-Ri. He asked her to raise the price if the people of Myungsoondang contact her.
Song-Hee thinks they shouldn’t trust a stranger. She worries that they will fail. Se-Jung reports to Woo-Joo that Merry Design Studio asked for a high price. He decides to change a design company. But she hands over the papers to him. She reveals they have paid 150 million won design fee. He asks her to contact the president of Merry Design Studio. He plans to meet the president.
Sung-Woo watches the video that Me-Ri won the lottery in his office. He’s furious to kick Sang-Hyun when Sang-Hyun claims that he will come up with an idea. He asks him to clean his shoes. Sang-Hyun returns to his office. He calls Mr. Kwon. He asks him to disqualify Me-Ri if her husband cannot come. Me-Ri is told about it soon. She remembers Song-Hee has a brother. She plans to let the guy play her husband. But she worries that Woo-Joo will come. She asks Song-Hee to contact her if Myungsoondang calls. She rushes out of her office.
Woo-Joo’s mother Eun-Sook and Woo-Joo’s sister Jin-Hwa eat noodles at home. Jin-Hwa feels it was a bit of a shame that Woo-Joo divorced Me-Ri. Because she loves the food of Me-Ri’s mother. But Eun-Sook doesn’t care for the food. Because the new girlfriend of her son is very rich. Woo-Joo calls his mother. She’s told that he plans to resign because Jenny wants to raise him. Jin-Hwa goes to throw away the trash. She sees Me-Ri who takes a present. Me-Ri enters the house. She meets Eun-Sook and Jin-Hwa. She expresses that she wishes to see Woo-Joo. Eun-Sook realizes that the girl wants to talk about rental fraud. She mistakes that Me-Ri wants to tangle her son. She thinks Me-Ri has no shame. She mentions she graduated from a third-rate university. Jin-Hwa adds that Me-Ri dropped out of the school.
Eun-Sook brings up that she taught her son a lot. She thinks Me-Ri just rented a house and the house was registered under her name. Jin-Hwa thinks it’s a scam. Me-Ri explains it to the two women that she could only secured the loan when the house was registered under her name. Eun-Sook thinks Me-Ri should resolve the problem on her own. She asks her not to bully her son. Me-Ri denies it. She claims that she came for the department store. But Jin-Hwa doesn’t want to listen to it. She thinks Me-Ri is a bad woman who took her brother to registered. Eun-Sook asks Me-Ri to leave her house. She offers to pretend not to know each other even if they meet. Me-Ri thinks Woo-Joo is like his mother who’s rude. Eun-Sook is furious to slap Me-Ri. But Me-Ri stops the madam’s hand. She threatens to tell people that her husband was fired because he tried to sleep with the Teaching Assistant.
Me-Ri leaves Eun-Sook’s house. She cries. She thinks she did a good job. She gets a call from Song-Hee. She’s told that she needs to go to Myungsoondang. Se-Jung gets a call from someone in the office. She reports to Woo-Joo that the president of Merry Design Studio is in the meeting room. He walks out of the office. He runs into Eung-Soo. Eung-Soo learns that Woo-Joo is going to go to sign. He asks him to leave the position if he cannot complete the task. Woo-Joo agrees.
Me-Ri wipes off her tears in the restroom. She leaves the restroom. She sees Woo-Joo. She avoids him. She thinks she mistook someone for Woo-Joo. But she meets Woo-Joo in the meeting room soon. She’s told that he’s the new team leader of Myungsoondang. She thinks it’s the chance heaven gave her. He persuades her to sign the contract with the previous price. She agrees. But she asks him to marry her. Because she knows he needs her help. He learns that she caught his weakness. He threatens to go to report her. She stops him. She explains it to him that she wants to do it because she won a lottery. She asks him to help her. But he refuses to do it because of his conscience.
Woo-Joo receives a message from Eung-Soo. Eung-Soo asks Woo-Joo to hand over the position if he fails. Woo-Joo remembers his grandma asked him not to make any mistake. Me-Ri shows Woo-Joo the wound on her arm. She worries that it will hurt if it rains. She takes over the contract from him. She signs it.
Woo-Joo and Me-Ri go to the department store. She comforts him that it will be over soon. She claims that she will answer the questions. The two enter the elevator. Me-Ri lets Woo-Joo wear the glasses. He worries that Woo-Joo-2 will come if he knows it. She reveals she plans to sell the house after she gets it. So nobody will know it. She promises to give him some money after she sells the house. But he doesn’t want to accept the dirty money. She mentions what she said that she was scammed. But he thinks everybody has a sad story. They wouldn’t scam like her. She explains it to him that she wants to be a good person. But her condition is terrible. He learns that she’s throwing a fit to him.
Sung-Woo is playing golf in his office. He’s told that Sang-Hyun didn’t cancel the Award Ceremony. He wonders how Sang-Hyun will explain it to his father. Sang-Hyun reveals he has reported to the chairman that it’s a Social Welfare. Sung-Woo thinks the idea is very good. Mr. Kwon meets Woo-Joo and Me-Ri. He thinks Woo-Joo married a good wife. He reveals he planned to disqualify Me-Ri. Me-Ri explains it to the guy that her husband just arrived at the airport. But he notices that Woo-Joo is different from the photo ID.
The secretary asks Mr. Kwon to review the press release. Woo-Joo finds out that he and Me-Ri will be on the news. Me-Ri persuades Mr. Kwon not to let them appear on the news. He rejects it after knowing she worries that her friends will ask her to buy them a meal. But he agrees to change her and Woo-Joo’s names. Woo-Joo goes to pick up a phone. He’s told that he contracted African encephalitis. Mr. Kwon reports it to Sang-Hyun. Sang-Hyun asks Mr. Kwon to let Woo-Joo wear a task.
Woo-Joo leaves after the Award Ceremony. Me-Ri waits for Sang-Hyun in the office. He shows up and he gives the house key to her. He’s told that her husband went to the hospital. They walk out of the office. They run into Woo-Joo. Sang-Hyun is told that Woo-Joo is healthy. He asks him to go to see the house with them.

Sang-Hyun takes the couple to the new house. Woo-Joo and Me-Ri are told that they cannot sell the house within three months. Sang-Hyun leaves the house. Woo-Joo suggests that Me-Ri shouldn’t move into the house because he worries that they will be caught by Sang-Hyun.

Woo-Joo leaves the house. He calls Me-Ri. He apologizes to her for throwing a fit to her. But he runs into Mi-Yeon and Eung-Soo. Woo-Joo explains it to Eung-Soo that he came to see a friend. Sang-Hyun shows up. He asks Woo-Joo about his wife. Mi-Yeon hears it. Me-Ri walks out of her house because Woo-Joo turned off his phone.
