Woo-Joo is outside his house in Would You Marry Me episode 5. He smiles when he looks at Me-Ri’s childhood photo. He calls Me-Ri when she’s putting the side dish into the fridge. Woo-Joo-2 is walking at the airport. He calls Me-Ri. He tells her that he’s in Seoul. But she hangs up. He calls her again. She doesn’t pick up his phone this time. He understands it. Because he knows she has pride.
Me-Ri worries that the guy knows her secret. Woo-Joo calls her. She’s told that he found the wallet. She’s very happy after she knew the good news. He plans to come to give the wallet to her. But she wishes to take it when she has meeting at his company. She plans to leak that Woo-Joo-2 just called her. But she gives up the mind. Because she doesn’t want to bother him.
Woo-Joo returns to the house. He sees Pil-Nyeon in the garden. She doesn’t sleep because she’s not sleepy. She wonders where he went. He reveals he went to the garage. She asks him about the work. He comforts her that she can relax because he and his uncle can manage the company. He suggests that she should see a guy. She rejects it because she has a husband. She has him to take his girlfriend to see her. She reminds him that he has the duty.
The next day, Me-Ri goes out. She sees Sang-Hyun who just went out. She uses her bag to cover her face so that he won’t see her. But he recognizes her when he’s in the car. He calls her. She has to say good morning to him. He didn’t see Woo-Joo’s car. So he thinks the guy went to work. She explains it to him that her husband didn’t come back because he worked overtime last night. He wants to give her a ride. But she prefers to think about something when she walks. He offers to have a breakfast together. He mentions the coffee shop. She agrees.
Sang-Hyun visits Pil-Nyeon at Myungsoondang. She welcomes him. She introduces Han-Gu to him. She’s told that Han-Gu and Sung-Woo were classmates. Sang-Hyun explains it to Pil-Nyeon that the president didn’t come because he’s hospitalized. She thinks the guy should take care of himself. Han-Gu reveals Sung-Woo wished to eat the cookie of Myungsoondang. Pil-Nyeon asks him to pick the best cookie for the guy.
Woo-Joo is in the office. He’s told that Beaute Department Store decided to use the gift box of their company. He receives a message from Me-Ri who’s going to come to take the wallet. He gets a call from Han-Gu. Han-Gu asks Woo-Joo to come to the chairman’s office. Woo-Joo is outside the chairman’s office. He’s told that Sang-Hyun is in the office. He makes an excuse that he needs to go to restroom. He’s in the restroom. He gets a call from the secretary. He asks her to inform Han-Gu that he will be late. He leaves the restroom. He tries to flee. But Han-Gu stops him when he’s with Sang-Hyun. He introduces Woo-Joo to Sang-Hyun. Sang-Hyun learns that Woo-Joo is the team leader of Myungsoondang. He shakes hands with him. Han-Gu asks Woo-Joo to send Sang-Hyun off.
Sang-Hyun and Woo-Joo are in the elevator. Woo-Joo explains it to the man that he pretended not to know him because he worries that he would feel uneasy. He asks him to keep the secret. Sang-Hyun takes a look at Woo-Joo. He’s surprised that he’s fine because he heard that he worked overtime last night. Woo-Joo is confused. Because he didn’t work overtime. The elevator doors open. Me-Ri shows up. Woo-Joo steps out of the elevator. He explains it to his wife that Sang-Hyun came for a business. Sang-Hyun wonders if Me-Ri works at the company as well. She denies it. Woo-Joo explains it for his wife that she came to take the wallet. He gives the wallet to her. He brings up that he took his wife’s wallet in the morning. But Me-Ri stops him. She reminds him that he worked overtime last night. Sang-Hyun leaves. Me-Ri worries that the guy perceived it.
Me-Ri goes to a place with Woo-Joo. She’s told that Sang-Hyun is going to work with Woo-Joo. Woo-Joo thinks they should be careful. Me-Ri reveals she told that guy that he worked overtime when she was questioned. He blames her for not telling it to him. Because she made him caught off guard. She explains it to him that she didn’t expect that they would meet. He asks her to contact him after she runs into the guy. He thinks it’s not enough. He asks her to call him three times everyday. He offers to share each other’s itineraries. But she thinks they don’t have to do that. He scolds her. He thinks she caused the situation because she was naive. He mentions newlyweds contact each other 12 times everyday. But she points out that they’re not newlyweds. She thinks he’s too absorbed. But he claims that he doesn’t do it for himself. He complains it to her that he’s very busy. She laughs. He asks her to call him before she sleeps. She receives a message from someone. She’s told that the meeting is going to begin. She runs away.
Woo-Joo-2 returns home. His mother cooks for him. He likes the seaweed. He wonders where she bought the seaweed. She claims that she made the seaweed on her own. She wonders if he met Jenny’s parents. She’s told that he didn’t meet Jenny’s parents. Jin-Hwa asks her brother to introduce Jenny to her. Because she wants to buy the ice cream store. He’s furious to leave home. Woo-Joo-2 is at the playground. He doesn’t know how to explain it to his family. He remembers Jenny told him that she’s going to marry another man. Because the man is her fiance. He blamed her for not telling it to him. She pointed out that he didn’t see her about it. She learned that he was jealous. She comforted him that she can accompany him once her fiance leaves. He reminded her that he gave up everything for her. He blamed her. He asked her to make a choice between the man and him. She chose the man.
Woo-Joo-2 texts Jenny. He doesn’t know how to deal with her dog. She asks him to send the dog to house of her relative. He remembers Me-Ri told him that she likes him because he’s very handsome. He checks the photos of them. He thinks he’s her only man. He feels sorry.
Me-Ri is at the printing company. She thinks the papers are very soft. She orders some papers. She gets a call from Gyeong-Hwa. Me-Ri and Gyeong-Hwa go to a restaurant. They run into Woo-Joo. Woo-Joo learns that Me-Ri fell for her first love because the back of his head. He’s very happy because she still loves him. The three walk out of the restaurant after they ate noodles. Gyeong-Hwa gives Me-Ri a pot of cactus. Woo-Joo suggests that Me-Ri shouldn’t sit on the cactus. She remembers she sat on the cactus when she was drunk. She laughs. The cab arrives. Woo-Joo takes the cab to leave. Woo-Joo is in the cab. He remembers Me-Ri told him that the boy was her dream lover. He’s very happy. He takes a look at the wedding photo of them.
Jin-Gyeong sees Sung-Woo in the ward. She asks him to be discharged from the hospital. Because she knows he’s fine. She leaves the ward. Sang-Hyun intends to go to persuade the doctor. But Sung-Woo asks him to communicate with the dean. Jin-Gyeong gets angry when she’s outside the ward. She knows Sung-Woo is pretending to be sick. The senior asks her to be on duty for him. But she rejects it because she has an important date. She runs away.
Woo-Joo waits for Jin-Gyeong at a romantic restaurant. She shows up with a beautiful white dress. He mistakes that she went on a blind date. Because she intended to dress up. She claims that she was under pressure because he chose such a good place. He reveals the place was booked by his grandma. She’s a little disappointed. The two begin to eat the steak. He brings up that she applied her snot on his clothes after she was dumped. She thinks she did it because she was young. He mentions her another boyfriend the ice hockey player. She claims that she dumped the guy. He complains it to her that he failed the exam because she visited him and she cried. She offers to cover the shame things. She reminds him that she knows many girlfriends of him. She mentions those girls reported him after he made them angry. She reveals those girls thought he was selfish. She thinks he’s out in the blind date market. She tells him that his grandma didn’t ask him to go on a blind date because she knew it. She tries to confess her feelings to him. But he brings up that there was a girl liking the back of his head. She learns that he’s very happy because of the girl. She guesses that he ran into his first love on the road. He admits it. He reveals Me-Ri is his first love. She wonders if Me-Ri knows it. He denies it. She asks him why he didn’t go to look for Me-Ri. He confesses it to her that he went to look for the girl ever.
Woo-Joo was easy to find Me-Ri’s house. Because Me-Ri’s father was a famous taxi driver. But he was told that her father passed away for his case. So he was afraid to face her. Jin-Gyeong persuades Woo-Joo not to tell the truth to Me-Ri. Because Me-Ri’s father had an accident because of him.
Sung-Woo is in his ward. He finds out that Sang-Hyun appeared on the magazine cover. Sang-Hyun apologizes to his boss. But Sung-Woo praises Sang-Hyun. He puts some cash into his pocket. He reminds him that he’s just a dog of his family.
Jin-Gyeong returns to the hospital. She thinks she wasted the expensive meal. She remembers she persuaded Woo-Joo not to tell the truth to Me-Ri. She thinks she was a bad girl who hurt him. She plays the piano in the lobby. Sang-Hyun shows up after he was bullied by Sung-Woo. He sees Jin-Gyeong. He notices that she’s crying.
Woo-Joo goes to the temple to pay his respect to his parents. Eung-Soo and Mi-Yeon are outside the temple. Eung-Soo brings up that Woo-Joo likes Pork Cutlet and it’s his birthday. Woo-Joo and Pil-Nyeon are in the car. He takes a look at her. He finds out that she’s silent. He remembers he told his grandma that it was his mistake when they were at his parents’ funeral. Woo-Joo wasn’t happy after Eung-Soo took his toy. His father tried to persuade him when he drove. The truck hit the car.
Eung-Soo, Mi-Yeon and Han-Gu are in the car. Mi-Yeon is told that her mother doesn’t want to eat anything. Eung-Soo brings up that Pil-Nyeon cared Woo-Joo after Woo-Joo’s grandpa sent Woo-Joo to the United States. Han-Gu remembers the killer reported to him that he completed the task after he caused the car accident.
Me-Ri finds out that the cactus bloomed at home. She remembers Woo-Joo told her not to sit on the cactus. She takes some photos of the cactus. Woo-Joo is in his room. He remembers the family blamed him for his mistake. He cannot breathe. He tries to take the medicine. But he receives the cactus photo from Me-Ri. She wants to give him a birthday cake after she found out that it’s his birthday today. He wishes her to buy him a meal. She offers to have meal at home. He informs her that he’s going to come.
Me-Ri cooks at home. She has a video call with her mother. She asks her to teach her how to cook Octopus Kelp Soup. Young-Sook knows her daughter invited a man to her house. She hopes it’s the the team leader she met. Woo-Joo visits Me-Ri. He sees many foods. He learns that it was cooked by her. She claims that it’s just the food she ate. She explains it to him that she wanted to empty the fridge when he suspects her. She thinks she just heated the stuff in her house. She guesses he’s hungry. She asks him to taste the food. He tastes the Octopus Kelp Soup. She explains it to him that she would cook the soup when there was a guest visiting her. She thinks it’s good to his health. He understands it after she explained.
But Me-Ri tastes the soup on her own. She finds out that the soup is too salty. She receives a message from her mother. Young-Sook asks Me-Ri not to add salt into the soup because octopus is salty. Me-Ri blames her mother for leaking it too late. She gives an awkward smile. She feels sorry because she thinks she should have tasted the soup. But Woo-Joo says that it’s fine. He adds water into the soup. He tastes it again. He expresses that it’s delicious.

Me-Ri guesses that Woo-Joo drank many soups at home. She puts a piece of spare ribs into his bowl. He wonders why she entertained him in such a way. He asks her why she celebrated his birthday even his family wouldn’t do. She wants to know the answer as well. He reveals he hadn’t had kelp soup in a long time. He thinks he doesn’t deserve the soup because his parents died because of him. So he ate many foods to replace kelp soup. She cheers him up. She offers to eat a lot of rice so that they will have strength.

Me-Ri runs to the door. She sees two rainbows. She and Woo-Joo get out of the house to watch the rainbows. She asks him to make a wish. She reveals the two rainbows can help him fulfill his wish. He doesn’t believe it. But he finds out that she’s making a wish. He wishes her to fulfill her wish. Woo-Joo-2 arrives at Me-Ri’s house. Me-Ri hugs Woo-Joo after she tripped. Woo-Joo-2 witnesses it when Woo-Joo tries to kiss his girl.
