Dou Shuo returns home after he killed the rebels in Doctor X: Mafia in White episode 7. At the hospital, Won-Jin washes her hands outside the operating room. She remembers she stopped Sang-Beom from killing himself on the roof. Yun-Sik joins her. He guesses she saw the guy. He heard that he was aged. He had myocardial infarction. He said on the golf course that history would judge it. Then he took golf cart to leave.
Yun-Sik asks Won-Jin did Sang-Beom do so because he knew Dou Shuo would come? She denies it, and she asks him if he wants to change an anesthesiologist. She can find the anesthesiologist for him. He explains it to her that he says so much because he’s nervous.
In the ward, Sang-Beom is mad. Tae-Gyeong gives Sang-Beom a shot. Tae-Gyeong and Su-Jeong walk out of the ward. Tae-Gyeong guesses Sang-Beom dreamed about something. He hasn’t had a good sleep. Su-Jeong thinks Hui-Suk should know her feelings. Hui-Suk takes out the food.
Su-Jeong has meal with her colleagues. Hui-Suk invites Tae-Gyeong to eat it. He says he has no appetite. But Su-Jeong begins to eat. Won-Jin guesses the food was given by Jae-Gyeong. Hui-Suk nods. She puts the Crab Roe on Won-Jin’s spoon. She gets Won-Jin to taste it. Won-Jin says it’s delicious. Tae-Gyeong wishes Sang-Beom eats it as well. Hui-Suk says Sang-Beom will be sent to another floor if his condition has improved. But the hospital had a meeting. They talked out transferred him to another hospital.
Won-Jin is surprised that the hospital wants to give up Sang-Beom. Su-Jeong finishes eating. She tries to leave. But Hui-Suk tells Su-Jeong that Jae-Gyeong is going to come. Jae-Gyeong thinks it’s too cruel. He wants to take Sang-Beom home.
Jae-Gyeong arrives at the hospital. Tae-Gyeong picks up Jae-Gyeong. Jae-Gyeong walks into Sang-Beom’s ward when Sang-Beom is mad again. Jae-Gyeong reveals Sang-Beom’s brother was killed by the guy on the helicopter to protect Sang-Beom.
Su-Jeong is hurt by the glass shards after someone broke the window. She returns the notebook to Sang-Beom. She knows he did so because he wanted to die. She explains it to him what she means is the surgery. He lives for his death.
It flashes back. Su-Jeong tells Sang-Beom that he will die if she fails. At present, Jae-Gyeong asks Sang-Beom is it true that he agreed to have the surgery in order to die? Su-Jeong tells Sang-Beom that it’s impossible if she operates on him. She’s sure to succeed. As long as there’s a hope, he cannot run away.
Outside the hospital building, Su-Jeong and the colleagues drink yogurt on the bench. Won-Jin asks Su-Jeong how did she know Sang-Beom wanted to die? Su-Jeong says she knows the look in the guy’s eyes. It sounds like he’s saying his brother must be the one who survived. Hui-Suk asks Su-Jeong to give up. Sang-Beom doesn’t want to undergo the surgery, and Jae-Gyeong wants to take him home. They tried their best. If it continues, he will fall apart.

She believes that there will be a chance as long as she takes it out of the guy’s brain. She remembers Hui-Suk told her that there was a bullet in Sang-Beom’s brain.
Su-Jeong runs into Chang-Soo. He thinks she doesn’t have to watch the patient because he’s going to be transferred to another hospital. She pretends not to know Chang-Soo. She walks away. Bon-Pyeong smiles.
The next day, Su-Jeong pinches Seong-Jin’s ear. She wakes him up. She visits Sang-Beom. He bows to her. Seung-Gwon is taken to the rehearsal room. He asks Seong-Jin and Su-Jeong to explain it to him. The doctors act together, and they let Sang-Beom see the truth that his brother wasn’t the only one who protected him.
Sang-Beom returns to his ward. Tae-Gyeong gives Sang-Beom a haircut. In the locker room, Su-Jeong remembers Sang-Beom told her that it was too heavy. In the ward, Sang-Beom wants to listen to Fantasy when he’s undergoing the surgery. His brother liked the song very much. Won-Jin runs back to her office. She finds the CDs.
Sang-Beom is on the way to the operating room. He remembers Su-Jeong told him that she will let him go home with his brother. In the operating room, Won-Jin plays the music. Su-Jeong gets in the operating room. She announces the surgery begins.
In the dream, Sang-Beom meets his brother at the cemetery. They take a bus together. They eat ice cream in the park. They sing at a KTV in the evening. They play the video game on the street. Sang-Beom buys his brother a suit. They have dinner at a restaurant. He carries him home. The next day, Sang-Beom has breakfast with his brother. His brother asks him to take care of himself well. He strokes his hair. He leaves when Su-Jeong takes out the bullet.
Su-Jeong walks out of the operating room. She’s surrounded by Chang-Soo and the doctors. They want to know if it’s the bullet. She throws the bullet at Tae-Gyeong. He catches it, and he runs away. The doctors go to chase Tae-Gyeong.
Su-Jeong turns around. She finds out that Seung-Gwon doesn’t leave. He says he approved the surgery because of the bullet. She says she has never said it’s a bullet. He knows there’s a sample box in her pocket. He thinks it’s the bone fragments. Everyone will see through her life soon.
Su-Jeong meets Won-Jin in the locker room. She gives the sample to her. She tells her that Hui-Suk will wait for her at Gate 3. They walk out of the locker room. But they run into the doctors. Won-Jin doesn’t expect that Su-Jeong would stay to be on duty. The doctors go to chase Su-Jeong.
Tae-Gyeong runs out of the hospital. He sees Won-Jin. She can tell that he practiced running. Hui-Suk shows up. Won-Jin gives the sample to Hui-Suk. Hui-Suk wishes Su-Jeong will help him earn big money. She drives away. Tae-Gyeong takes out the bottle. The bottle is empty. Won-Jin learns the reason why those guys were mad. But Tae-Gyeong says the bottle is full of Su-Jeong’s compassion for her patients. And it’s her true heart.
Won-Jin figures Tae-Gyeong talked to Seong-Jin a lot. The guy is good at saying something like that. Won-Jin asks Tae-Gyeong not to be close to Seong-Jin. Tae-Gyeong mentions Su-Jeong called his name for the first time. Seong-Jin shows up when he’s excited to call Won-Jin. She wonders why did the guy come? Tae-Gyeong reveals Seong-Jin wanted to throw a party after the performance. Won-Jin runs away. Seong-Jin chases her.
Su-Jeong watches Sang-Beom in the ward. Hui-Suk texts Su-Jeong. She tells her that she won’t get pocket money if she was wrong.
The next day in Sang-Beom’s ward, Sang-Beom’s brother disappears. In the meeting room, Chang-Soo blames Su-Jeong for not telling them that it wasn’t a bullet. But Seung-Gwon thinks Su-Jeong did nothing wrong. Chang-Soo asks Seung-Gwon is he taking Su-Jeong’s side. Yun-Sik says Su-Jeong made a mistake, and she lied.
It flashes back. Su-Jeong thinks those guys wouldn’t pay for Sang-Beom’s surgery if they knew it wasn’t a bullet. She tells Seung-Gwon that she’s not interested in controlling the world.
At present, Yun-Sik is told that Sang-Beom disappeared. Su-Jeong goes to look for Sang-Beom. At the press conference, Seung-Gwon takes the blame after Chang-Soo and Ho-Seok brought the trouble.
