Ah-Jin and her father are hurt in Dear X episode 4. They lie on the floor together. He asks her to save him. But she doesn’t want him to live. She reminds him that he was the one who turned her into such a person. She thinks it’s a punishment. She wants to use his death to compensate her. She takes off his woolen hat. She takes the hat to the bathroom. She cuts the hat into pieces with a pair of scissors. She throws the pieces into the toilet. She flushes it away.

The cops are in the house. They check the scene. Jung-Ho wakes up in his van when the cop knocks at the van window. He’s arrested. Ah-Jin wakes up in the ward. She tells the cop Dae-Ho that Jung-Ho killed her father Seon-Gyu. The cop Young-Soo interrogates Jung-Ho in the Interrogation Room. He thinks the guy killed Ah-Jin’s father. Because the baseball bat belongs to Jung-Ho. Jung-Ho explains it to the cop that he mistook the guy for a stalker. He mentions the guy who wore a woolen hat grabbed Ah-Jin by the throat. He rushed to the guy. He used the baseball bat when he fought him. He claims that he didn’t intend to do that. But the cop didn’t find any woolen hat at the scene.
Ah-Jin denies it when she’s asked about the woolen hat. The cop asks Jung-Ho if he fled after he hit Seon-Gyu. Jung-Ho remembers he tried to call the police after he beat down Seon-Gyu. But Ah-Jin cried to stop him. She revealed the person is her father. She let him go home.
Jung-Ho admits it to the cop that he fled from the scene. He explains it to him that he was flustered. He cries. He doesn’t understand why he did that. He thinks he was controlled by someone. He feels sorry for Ah-Jin. Young-Soo enters the ward. He gives the report to Dae-Ho. Dae-Ho wonders why Ah-Jin didn’t call the police immediately after her father was killed. She explains it to him that she passed out after her father hit her. He thinks she should have fled since she was hit. She claims that she’s very tired. He gets a call from Seung-Yong. He leaves the ward. She remembers Seung-Yong was going to sign a contract with Jung-Ho.
Dae-Ho calls Young-Soo out of the ward. Ah-Jin eavesdrops on the conversation. Young-Soo reports to Dae-Ho that Jung-Ho claimed that he acted in self-defense. Dae-Ho realizes that Ah-Jin wanted to kill her father. He offers to shape public opinion for helping Jung-Ho. He doesn’t know Ah-Jin is recording what he says with her cell phone. He leaves after he let Young-Soo watch Ah-Jin.
Young-Soo returns to the ward. He asks Ah-Jin to go to the police station with him. She wonders what will happen to Jung-Ho. He reveals the guy will be sent to prison. He leaves her ward. Dae-Ho gets in his car at the parking lot. He asks the reporter to make up a story that Jung-Ho committed manslaughter. Ah-Jin sees Seung-Yong giving Dae-Ho a box of cash from the window. She takes a photo of the two. Jun-Seo tails Dae-Ho to Ah-Jin’s house in the evening. Dae-Ho sneaks into the house. He finds the woolen from the toilet.
The next day, Ah-Jin is arrested at the hospital. She’s suspected to kill her father. Seung-Yong meets Jung-Ho in the Interrogation Room. He tells the guy that he will make people believe that he was wronged by Ah-Jin. But Jung-Ho worries about Ah-Jin. Seung-Yong reminds Jung-Ho that his life will be ruined if he’s sent to prison. He reveals the cop found a new piece of evidence. The cop planned to let the girl confess.
Do-Hee opens the door of the van. She reports it to Le-Na that Hyang-I turned herself in. She asks her to be careful when the cop asks her the questions. Le-Na worries about the surveillance footage. She’s told that Do-Hee has resolved the problem. Do-Hee helps Le-Na get off the van. She thinks the girl kept bringing trouble. She reminds her that she won’t live in the circle if she’s fired by the director.
Ah-Jin is taken to the police station. She sees Le-Na. Hyang-I tells the cop that the one who drove the car was her. But he doesn’t believe her. He gets a call from the chief. He lets Hyang-I and Le-Na leave. Dae-Ho takes Ah-Jin to the Interrogation Room. Do-Hee pays attention to the girl.
Dae-Ho shows Ah-Jin the fiber of the woolen hat that he found in her house. He thinks she told a lie. He claims that it’s a reasonable doubt when she thinks it’s just his conjecture. He mentions her father’s head was hit many times. But Jung-Ho only did it one time. So he suspects her.
Jun-Seo meets the secretary Soo-Hyuk outside the police station. Soo-Hyuk reports to Jun-Seo that Ah-Jin was arrested because she was suspected to kill her father. Jun-Seo decides to clear his sister’s name. He asks Soo-Hyuk not to let his grandpa know about it.
Young-Soo tries to interrogate Ah-Jin in the Interrogation Room. But she lets him summon the policewoman. Because she has her period. The policewoman is on the way to take Ah-Jin to the restroom. Ah-Jin asks the policewoman to check the recording and the photos in her cell phone. The policewoman finds Ah-Jin’s cell phone. She plays the recording. She knows what Dae-Ho did.
Dae-Ho and Young-Soo eat at a restaurant. Young-Soo brings up that there was a cop accepting kickbacks. Dae-Ho runs to his car. But he’s stopped by the internal affairs officer. The internal affairs officer searches Dae-Ho’s car. He only finds a box of drinks. Dae-Ho claims that he bought his mother the drinks. He returns to the Interrogation Room. He praises Ah-Jin. He tells her that he will make her be a murderer.
Jun-Seo returns home to have meal. His mother Ji-Sun brings up that Seon-Gyu is dead. He pretends to be shocked. She wonders why he returned home to have meal. She mentions he kept helping Ah-Jin. He thinks he did nothing wrong to see her. He points out that they and Ah-Jin aren’t related anymore.
Do-Hee meets Ah-Jin at the police station. Do-Hee offers to help Ah-Jin. But Ah-Jin knows Do-Hee wants to get benefits from her. Do-Hee mentions the cop wanted to force Ah-Jin to confess. Ah-Jin knows the guy wanted to do that because he doesn’t have any evidence. She claims that she’s innocent. Do-Hee reminds the girl that she can do nothing if she’s sent to the prosecution. She persuades her not to take the risk. She gives her some time to think about it.
Jun-Seo goes to the police station to turn himself in. He tells the cops that he was the one who killed Ah-Jin’s father. Ah-Jin is released. The cop reveals the stalker turned himself in. She’s surprised. She’s told that Jun-Seo killed her father. She walks out of the police station. She remembers she hit her father’s head with the bat. Because she hated him very much. Jun-Seo ran into her house. He was shocked after he witnessed it. She thought it’s over. She passed out. He checked her father. He found out that the guy was dead. He remembers Ah-Jin asked him what he can do for her. He took out the fibers of the woolen hat from the toilet. He put it into a black plastic bag. He cleaned the floor of the bathroom. He wiped away her fingerprints from the bat. He lifted the bar. He hit her father. He saw her carried into an ambulance.
The motel owner calls Young-Soo. Young-Soo is told about the exact time that Jun-Seo left the motel. He breaks into the Interrogation Room. He asks Jun-Seo why he told them a lie. He figures it out that the guy went to the motel after knowing Ah-Jin’s father was dead. He knows he did it for helping Ah-Jin. Jun-Seo claims that Ah-Jin is a poor girl. He’s taken out of the Interrogation Room. Young-Soo walks out of the Interrogation Room. He’s told that they will close the case with the truth that Jung-Ho killed Ah-Jin’s father. He gets angry. Because he wants to interrogate Ah-Jin.
Ah-Jin is taken to see the boss of Longstar Entertainment Mi-Ri. Mi-Ri is friendly to Ah-Jin. She knows the girl doesn’t have meal. She takes her to a restaurant. She reminds her that she cannot clear her name if she doesn’t own the power. She receives a message from the Police Chief. Dae-Ho is arrested after the internal affairs officer found the cash from his house.
Mi-Ri promises Ah-Jin that she will help her get the power. But Ah-Jin knows she needs to repay her boss. Mi-Ri asks the girl not to meet Jun-Seo again. Ah-Jin doesn’t understand why Mi-Ri wants her to do that. Mi-Ri reminds the girl that she will be very famous. So the past she buried will be exposed. Ah-Jin reveals she planned to cut ties with the guy even if Mi-Ri didn’t ask her to do that. The file of the murder case is taken away from the police station. Mi-Ri puts the file into her safe. She does it for controlling Ah-Jin. So the girl will be an obedient little dog of her.
Jun-Seo returns home. He sees Ah-Jin. He mentions she almost died. But she points out that she didn’t die and she broke free from the shackles. He wonders if it was the only plan she could choose. She thinks he wouldn’t agree if he knew her plan. He realizes that she used Jung-Ho to kill her father. She claims that she didn’t force the guy to do that. He yells at her. He mentions Jung-Ho risked his life to help her. He thinks she made the guy have no choice.

Ah-Jin looks at Jun-Seo. She wonders if he sympathizes with Jung-Ho. She claims that she only sympathizes with herself. She mentions she kept being beaten. So she doesn’t care for anyone. She thinks the torment is enough. He forces her to sit on the couch. He promise to make up for his mother. But she wants to get more. He cries. He begs her. He promises to give her the happiness. But she points out that he never protected her. She thinks he would kill her father early if he wanted to protect her. She asks him to tell Jung-Ho the truth. He thinks what she did won’t be forgiven. She tells him that she wouldn’t get anything if she lived like him. She asks him not to ruin her life. He hugs her from her back. He wants to do something for her. But she thinks he doesn’t understand her. She tells him that his kindness will hurt her. She says goodbye to him. Because she wants to be reborn at the peak.

Ah-Jin becomes a big star after she left Jun-Seo. Jung-Ho watches Ah-Jin’s movie in the prison. He doesn’t understand why it happened to him. He planned to be a baseball player. But he’s just a prisoner. Ah-Jin the girl he cared for is living a good life.
