Ah-Jin and Jun-Seo run into Jung-Ho on the street in Dear X episode 3. Ah-Jin sees Jung-Ho catching a thief for the police. She smiles when the guy leaves. Ah-Jin meets Jung-Ho at his cafe. Jun-Seo learns that Jung-Ho was a baseball player. He suspects his lover. Ah-Jin brings a good news to Jun-Seo that she will work next week. But he thinks it’s too early to work. He rented a house for her. He gives the address of the house to her. But she rejects it because she wants to go back to her house. He reminds her that her father will come to ask for money. She plans to give money to her father. So he won’t beat her.

Jun-Seo returns home. He tells her mother Ji-Sun that he’s going to move out. She gets angry because she knows he does it for Ah-Jin. She yells at him. She thinks the girl isn’t a part of his life. He points out that he cannot give up Ah-Jin because of what she did. He mentions she chose to ignore it when Ah-Jin’s father hurt Ah-Jin. She drove the girl to the street in winter after the girl’s father was sent to prison. She claims that she did it for raising him. He persuades her not to make an excuse. He thinks she’s just another abuser to Ah-Jin. She gets on her knees to him. She begs him. But he leaves home with his suitcase.
Ah-Jin is very popular after she worked at Jung-Ho’s cafe. Mi-Ri is interested in the girl after she saw the girl’s photos in her office. She shows Do-Hee the photos. Do-Hee recognizes the girl because Ah-Jin rejected them when they tried to sign a contract with her.
Ah-Jin’s colleague Yoo-Sik offers to delete the photos for Ah-Jin. But she rejects it because she wants to promote their cafe with the chance. He figures out the reason why their boss likes Ah-Jin. Ah-Jin notices that Jung-Ho is watching the video. Yoo-Sik reveals Jung-Ho can end the game once he uses his bat. Jung-Ho was hurt in a game. He couldn’t return to the field since then. Ah-Jin says that she wouldn’t watch the video if she’s Jung-Ho. But Jung-Ho praises the person who ruined his life. He treats him as his friend.
Seung-Yong visits the cafe. He shakes hands with Yoo-Sik when he brings a good news. Yoo-Sik tells Ah-Jin that Seung-Yong is going to sign with Jung-Ho. Ah-Jin and Jun-Seo are on the bus in the evening. He tells her that those guys are her Guardian Spirits. Someone calls Jung-Ho at the cafe. He asks him for Ah-Jin’s number. Jung-Ho refuses to leak it because it’s personal information. The guy enters the cafe for looking for Ah-Jin. But he’s driven out of the cafe by Yoo-Sik.
Jun-Seo visits his grandpa for mourning his father. His grandpa claims that he won’t give him any money after he helped him move out. He learns that he couldn’t kill an ant. He thinks he’s like his father. Ah-Jin gets off the bus. She’s tailed by the stalker. He runs to her.
Jun-Seo leaves his grandpa’s house. He calls Ah-Jin. He finds her cell phone on the street. He sees her hitting the stalker with a brick. She blames him for his late. She yells at him. Shen mentions what would happen to her. He worries about her. He wants to take her to see a doctor. But she asks him what he can do for her. He promises to do anything for her. But he cannot kill people for her. She learns that he wants to let his conscience decide the bottom line. She comforts him that she never expects him to do that. She thinks she would ask him to kill her father if he has the guts. The stalker lies on the ground. He begs Jun-Seo to save him. Jun-Seo promises to call an ambulance for the guy as long as he keeps the secret.
Ah-Jin returns home. She receives a message from her father Seon-Gyu. The guy finds the money she prepared for him. He calls someone. He plans to sell her for the money. She approaches him. But he grabs her by the throat. He tries to throw her off the roof. He reminds her that she’s over if he dies. He releases her. He asks for double the money next month. He leaves. She laughs.
Jun-Seo runs into Seon-Gyu on the stairs. Seon-Gyu suggests that Jun-Seo should stay away from his daughter. Because he knows Ah-Jin will ruin his life. Jun-Seo finds Ah-Jin on the roof. She asks him to beat her. He rejects it because it broke his heart when he witnessed her being beaten. She reveals she doesn’t want to hurt him because she doesn’t want to lose him. She hugs him. He knows she’s terrifying because she was hurt before. He promises her that he will take care of it.
The next day, Jung-Ho notices that Ah-Jin’s neck was hurt at the cafe. He asks her what happened. She claims that it’s just a minor scrape. He asks her to use him because he’s very strong. He’s told that her father works the night shift.
Jun-Seo films Seon-Gyu when the guy walks out of the Women’ Restroom. Seon-Gyu just put a pinhole camera in the restroom for filming his daughter. Jun-Seo gets the evidence. He goes to chase Seon-Gyu. The two have a fight. Seon-Gyu mentions he wouldn’t be sent to the prison if Jun-Seo didn’t call the police. Jun-Seo asks Seon-Gyu to forgive Ah-Jin. But the crazy man claims that Ah-Jin belongs to him. He passes out after Jun-Seo grabbed him by the throat. Jun-Seo tries to kill the man with a brick. But he gives up because of his conscience. Ah-Jin sees it. The cops arrive. Jun-Seo is arrested.
Jun-Seo, Ah-Jin and Seon-Gyu are taken to the police station. Ah-Jin tells the cop that Jun-Seo is a stalker. Jun-Seo claims that Seon-Gyu is a bad guy. He tries to take out the evidence from his cell phone. But Ah-Jin has taken away the evidence. Seon-Gyu is happy to leave the police station after knowing his daughter is preparing some money for him.
Ah-Jin asks the cop to let her and Jun-Seo have a talk. Because they were brother and sister before he tailed her. She visits Jun-Seo in the cell. He doesn’t understand why she helped her father. She thinks it won’t change even if he made the guy be a petty criminal. He mentions what he said that he will take care of it. She points out that he didn’t break the guy’s head with the brick. She thinks he’s not her father’s rival.
The next day, Ah-Jin works at the cafe. Jung-Ho and Yoo-Sik notice that the girl’s head was hurt. Ah-Jin reveals she and the stalker had a minor conflict. Jung-Ho volunteers to take Ah-Jin home. Because he worries about her. Jung-Ho and Ah-Jin are in the car in the evening. He gives her the personal defense spray. She wonders if he regrets for helping the unrelated individuals. He denies it. He wants to follow his conscience. He thinks it’s the result that he makes even if he’s hurt in the end. She wishes he will never change. She thinks he’s a good person. He laughs after he earned her praise.
Ah-Jin and Jung-Ho arrive at Ah-Jin’s house. He plans to rent a house for her. He tries to leave. But she’s startled by the rat after she opened the box. He sees a stalker. He goes to chase the stalker. But the stalker runs away. Jung-Ho takes out the bat from his car. He puts it at Ah-Jin’s door. He texts the girl. He informs her about it after she washed her hands in the bathroom.
Yoo-Sik sees a stalker tailing Ah-Jin at the convenience store. He remembers the guy visited the cafe for looking for Ah-Jin. He’s taken away by his friends. Ah-Jin messes up her house. She texts her father. She asks him to come to her house. She reveals she has prepared the money for him.
The next day, Ah-Jin goes to the cafe. Mi-Ri is waiting for Ah-Jin. She asks the girl to be an actress of her company. The Ah-Jin rejects it even if she plans to be an actress. Because she wants to resolve the problem first. Mi-Ri asks the girl to contact her. She promises her that she will give her the best treatment. Mi-Ri leaves the cafe. Jung-Ho wonders why Ah-Jin rejected Mi-Ri. Ah-Jin claims that she likes her job. Yoo-Sik thinks Jun-Seo’s girlfriend is going to be a big star. But Ah-Jin denies her and Jun-Seo’s relationship.
Jung-Ho enters the kitchen. He asks Ah-Jin that if she was fine last night. She reveals she slept at her friend’s house. She saw the mess when she returned home. She guesses someone broke into her house. She didn’t tell it to Jun-Seo because she knew he would worry about her. She plans to move out tomorrow. So she needs to hang in there tonight. Jung-Ho asks Ah-Jin to live in his house. Yoo-Sik returns to the cafe when it’s raining outside. He reports it to Jung-Ho that he saw the stalker at the convenience store. Ah-Jin cuts her hand in the kitchen.
Jung-Ho calls a cab for Ah-Jin. He asks the driver to take the girl to his house. But the girl goes home for taking something. She texts Jung-Ho. She informs him about it. Ah-Jin returns home. Seon-Gyu is waiting for her. He asks her for the money. She promises to give him the money. But she asks him to put on the woolen hat. She tells him that it’s a present. She puts on the hat for him. She cries to hug him.

Seon-Gyu takes over the bag from Ah-Jin. He finds out that there’s no money in the bag. He gets angry. She laughs to tell him that she won’t give the money to him. He beats her. He doesn’t know she called Jung-Ho. Jung-Ho picks up the phone when he leaves the cafe. He hears someone is beating the girl. He drives his car to Ah-Jin’s house. Ah-Jin knows she needs to hold her father back so that Jung-Ho will come. She uses the pepper spray to attack her father. Her father is furious to step on her hand. She unplugs the device of the light in her house. The house is dark.

Jung-Ho arrives at Ah-Jin’s house. He grabs the bat from the door. He enters the house. He sees a man bullying Ah-Jin. He hits the man with the bat. He flees from the house. He doesn’t know the girl hit the man after he left. Jun-Seo witnesses it. He thinks the God took Ah-Jin’s side. Ah-Jin walks out of her house. She calls the police. She asks them to come to save her father. She laughs.
