At the shogunate, the general tells the samurai that he’s going to increase staffing to the island in Hell’s Paradise Season 2 episode 4. He mentions it’s been two days already, nobody took back the immortal medicine. He believes that the next group will be great. After all, Shugen is in the group as well. The general also gets four top ninjas of Iwagakure and their followers, a total of fifty people. He thinks it’s a Treasure Ship to the previous group of people. The samurai thinks the general is very stupid. He thinks they have no reason to gather so many people for the task. He knows Iwagakure Chief has ulterior motives.
The people are on the ship. The samurai looks at the ninjas. He falls into deep thought. Shugen notices that the samurai has troubles on his mind. So he asks him about it. He thinks they should stay true to their mission even if they encounter difficulties. The samurai wonders if Shugen can control so many people. He mentions the two have no rank. Shugen comforts the samurai that the young person is Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru. Kiyomaru has no rank because he’s not an adult. His strength is number one or two in disciples. Another person is Yamada Asaemon Isuzu. As a girl, she’s highly skilled. She can wield a giant blade. She’s playing a role in shogunate. She has no rank because of the rules. Shugen says that they also have Jikka whose strength is beyond question. Jikka waves at the samurai. He claims that he’s a strong person. Shugen tells the samurai that they don’t intend to continue to be just managers. They want to try their best for the previous partners.
Kiyomaru knows the samurai has reservations. He offers to show him his swordsmanship. He pulls out his sword. Isuzu is startled by the kid. She’s sweating. She tries to stop him. He mentions the guy looked down on him because he has no rank. He turns around and he takes a look at her. He expresses that he’s in anger. He believes that he’s stronger than the samurai. But she worries that he will bring trouble. He gets into position. He tells the ninja that he can kill all people at the scene if he wants him to do that. But the ninja doesn’t care for it. Kiyomaru cuts the person next to the ninja. The ninja doesn’t move. Kiyomaru thinks it’s not funny at all. Isuzu turns sour. She puts his blade on Kiyomaru’s neck from his back. She thinks he shouldn’t be rude to the ninja. She asks him to sheath his blade. But he asks her to sheath her blade as well. He calls her female giant. She sheaths her blade.
The samurai watches the scene. He worries that those guys cannot complete the task. The ninja thinks they shouldn’t fight because of the case. He takes off his mask. He asks Isuzu not to keep them in mind. She sincerely apologizes to him. But he points out that ninja’s lives belong to their master. Yamada family is their master in the mission. If they suspect them, they can point someone. The person will disembark immediately or he will be killed on the spot with the reason of rudeness. The ninja wants to do it for showing loyalty to master. Kiyomaru points at the ninja. He wants to see his loyalty. The ninja receives the order from Kiyomaru. He leaves the rest to other ninjas. He sings a song. He pierces his neck with his blade. He dies on the ship. The female ninja shows up. She reveals ninja has no personal will or mind. It’s their duty as tools to exist. She asks Yamada family to trust them.
The samurai thinks it’s enough after he saw a ninja dying in front of him. He asks everyone to step down. But Isuzu admires the dead ninja’s awareness. Kiyomaru expresses that he doesn’t understand ninjas. The ninjas remember the chief gave them a mission. That is killing Gabimaru.
The chief gathered the ninjas at Iwagakure. He didn’t expect that Gabimaru would be sent to carry out the mission before the executioner killed Gabimaru. He told the ninjas that their lives are for the goal.
Kiyomaru persuades Shugen not to trust the ninjas. Shugen says that he didn’t trust the ninjas from the very beginning. He thinks Wandering Ninjas are criminals. He decides to go to look for the immortal medicine on their own. Kiyomaru brings up the criminals who have already landed on the island. Shugen orders the kid to kill the criminals once he finds them. He swears to take back all Yamada Asaemon. He tears up.
Jikka joins the samurai. He thinks the management was a struggle. He knows it will affect the task since the samurai needs to deal with so many weirdos. The samurai says that he has no choice. Because the general expected to achieve the goal as soon as possible. It’s a treasure ship with helpers to the previous group of people. Jikka thinks the samurai is kidding. He points out that the people on the ship aren’t helpers. It’s more death and chaos. It’s like a dream ship that carries errors. It’s laden with nightmares and calamity. The deceased will be more and more. There will be no one coming back.
The Additional Landing Party lands on the island. They encounter a giant monster. In the cave, Shion reports it to Gabimaru that Shugen took some people to the island. Those guys were chosen by shogunate. Sagiri believes that Shugen can control the death row inmates. Gabimaru wonders if Shugen will help them. Sagiri is quite certain about this. Because Shugen is the most skilled martial artist in Yamada family. His Practical Sword Techniques are first-rate. But Gantetsusai thinks it’s not enough if Shugen wants to survive on the island. Shugen needs the magic Taoism. Mei yells at Gantetsusai. She tells him that it’s not magic. Mei recovers after Houko sacrificed himself. She becomes a little girl again.
Shion guesses Shugen can sense Taoism. Shugen paid attention to Shion’s perceptual ability when they practiced martial arts together. Shugen is an extremely serious man. He was extremely eager to learn from Shion. He was the one who named the feeling as wave.
On the island, Shugen asks Isuzu to take his blade. She’s shocked. She wonders how he will fight without his weapon. Kiyomaru persuades Shugen that he will be eaten by the monster. Shugen claims that it’s the top blade that was given by the general. It symbolizes duty of blade user. So he won’t use it to hunt a wild boar. He kicks the monster. The monster is knocked down. Shugen reveals he learned the art from Fuchi. It can figure out muscle structure and strength from the outside. Using the knowledge can deconstruct and destroy body easily. The monster reaches out his hands to Shugen. He tries to catch him. But Shugen holds the monster’s hands. He says that he learned wave from Shion to deduce the structure of life. He pushes the monster away. He punches his head. The monster’s head is broken.
In the cave, Nurugai feels relieved after knowing Shugen is tough. But Yuzuriha remembers the guy. She mentions Shugen was the person in the incident. It promotes Gantetsusai to wonder if Shugen brought trouble. Sagiri denies it. She thinks it’s not really a hassle. She says that Shugen was just too harsh. Gabimaru is interested in it. Sagiri reveals she heard that the boss of the silver snake gang was arrested. He refused to leak the hideout of his subordinates even if he faced the blades. The officials didn’t know what to do. Shugen showed up at that time. He killed the boss’s subordinates in front of him. He forced him to confess. He killed twenty members of the silver gang. The general was very satisfied with it. He gave Shugen special clothing and a famous sword Fuributsu Kaneki. Shugen had a certain degree of influence since then. Gantetsusai laughs. He learns that the guy killed all criminals. He thinks Shugen was heartless. But Sagiri takes Shugen’s side. She explains it to Gantetsusai that Shugen was a good person. Shugen was nice to all disciples as well. Fuchi points out that Shugen is Sagiri’s first love. Yuzuriha and Nurugai look at Sagiri. Yuzuriha believes that there’s a story behind it. Nurugai asks Sagiri if she wants to marry Shugen. Sagiri claims that it happened when she was a kid. She admits that she admired the guy. She reveals she got the rank of Yamada family because Shugen helped her.
Shugen begged his master to give Sagiri the rank in the room. He shed tears. He threatened his master that he won’t be proud of his rank if he doesn’t recognize Sagiri’s martial arts skills.
Sagiri says that Shugen was a gentle person even if he was stubborn. On the island, Shugen kills a few monsters. Isuzu and Kiyomaru run to Shugen. Isuzu wonders if Shugen was hurt. She thinks they could take action if he gave them an order. He mentions shogunate’s order was strict surveillance and execution. He thinks he doesn’t have to let other stuff dirty their blades. He tells her to leave it to him. She’s shy. Kiyomaru brings up that Shugen’s eyes are terrifying even if Shugen smiles. Jikka shows up. He thinks Shugen is reliable.
In the cave, Sagiri tells the people that Shugen will help them after he knows the details. But Shion doesn’t think so. He tells her that she misunderstood the accident. Because it’s a sensitive topic even if in Yamada family. Shugen not only killed twenty gangsters. He killed the whole clan. He killed silver snakes and their families. Their relatives and their old parents. Even children. A total of one hundred people.
In the prison, the boss of silver snakes begged Shugen to forgive his baby. He thought he doesn’t have to do that. Shugen thought it’s tragic. But he had no choice. He told the guy that his sins will be taken over by his family. Evil deeds not only come from a person’s heart. It comes from the environment that they grew up. He hoped those guys become good people after they’re reincarnated.
In the cave, Shion says that he likes Shugen as a samurai. Shugen is also his friend. But he knows Shugen won’t forgive any death row inmate. Shugen won’t forgive any Asaemon who helped criminals. Shugen sees Yamada Asaemon Eizen’s body on the island. He’s shocked.
It flashes back. Eizen keeps Shugen after Shugen’s parents were killed. He believes that he will be in agony as General’s killer. Because he will face all kinds of sins. Shugen brings up that the people who killed his parents aren’t caught. He believes that he will cut off their heads on his own. He wants to get a blunt knife so that the murderers will suffer more. He wonders why Eizen didn’t shape the blade into a serrated edge. Eizen thinks it doesn’t make sense. Because he’s going to sharpen the blade. Shugen practices with Eizen. Eizen knows Shugen cannot forget the revenge. But Shugen will learn to face it after he studies in Yamada family. Eizen believes that the beautiful blade pattern will appear one day.
At present, Shugen breaks down after knowing his master is dead. Isuzu persuades the guy to keep moving forward. She wipes off her tears. She confesses it to him that she worries about the safety of others. He picks up his blade. He agrees with what she said. But he wants to recite sutras first. Isuzu and Kiyomaru join him. The female ninja Shija watches the three recite sutras. She thinks they’re weirdos. They’re peaceful to recite sutras on the island teeming with monsters. She wonders if Shugen is outstanding. She notices that Jikka is a weirdo as well. She cannot figure it out that his brain is thinking. But the danger of the island is good at dealing with Asaemon. She will catch the chance to achieve the goal. She believes that Gabimaru won’t die on the island.
Some ninjas are caught by the monsters. The monster chief orders to capture those guys alive. Shija is surprised that the monster chief can speak. She wonders if he’s another species. Jikka asks the monster chief to negotiate with them. The monster chief claims that he doesn’t have the authority. He thinks Jikka should talk with the immortals. The monsters throw the net to Shugen. They plan to catch him like they caught the ninjas. But Isuzu and Kiyomaru break the net. They claim that Shugen is reciting sutras. They team up and they kill a monster. Shija learns that the two are highly skilled in martial arts. She wants to join the group. She orders the ninjas to take action. She thinks the power of the individual cannot be Yamada family’s equal. But ninjas are a group. They can complete tasks by headcount. The ninjas kill a monster. Shija tells Jikka that it’s the fight style of low-level ninja.
Shugen completes his job. The monster rushes to him. He dismembers the monster. He swears to kill the creatures on the island in the most painful way. The chief monster also wants to kill Shugen. He thinks it’s a good idea to treat Shugen as a present. He knows he will become earth immortal if he takes the credit. He makes a light ball with his hands.
The chief monster is buried in the sand. He loses his former dignity. Shugen learns that the guy’s regenerative capacity reaches the limit. He asks him to answer him questions when he cuts him. Jikka offers to go back to report it since they found the new species. But Shugen is furious to reject it. He knows Jikka wants to go home. Because Jikka didn’t pull out his blade. Jikka points out that he cannot pull out his sword. But Shugen knows Jikka can do that. Isuzu calms Shugen down. She thinks he shouldn’t have a fight with Jikka. He agrees with what she said. He wipes the blood off his face. He apologizes to Jikka. It promotes Jikka to think that Shugen is very cute.
Shugen thinks it will tarnish the reputations of the family and Eizen if they go back without resolving the case. He tells the people that they should destroy the creatures on the island. They need to let people know that what will happen if they hurt the disciples of Yamada family. They need to get intelligence for it. Shugen tries to interrogate the chief monster. But Shija persuades him to leave the job to the ninjas.

Mei takes the people to the cliff. She can sense the abnormalities on the island. But she doesn’t know the identities of the newcomers to the island. She apologizes to Fuchi. Sagiri thinks they shouldn’t procrastinate. Shion offers to divide into two groups. One team goes to take the immortal medicine. Another team ensures escape routes. Yuzuriha wants to join the escape team. Gabimaru points out that every team will pass by the inside of Kotaku. She wonders why they don’t leave from the sea. Nurugai explains it to her that monsters are in the sea. Gantetsusai wonders if they have a plan to deal with the immortals. Shion reveals he had a talk with Mei. They thought they should use Taoism to deal with the immortals. Yuzuriha wonders if it can guarantee that they won’t die. She thinks it’s too dangerous to rush into the enemies’ lair. She says that it’s more practical that they leave the island and vanish without a trace. Shion agrees with what she said. He thinks they’re just some people who gathered together because of the situation. They cannot predict what will happen. Shion asks the guys to make decision on their own. The people need to get into the cave if they want to join Shion. Shion won’t question anyone’s position even if the person acts alone.
Shion gets into the cave. He thinks he should have thought about it. But Nurugai offers to take action together outside the cave. Yuzuriha has no objection as long as she can return home. She wants more scapegoats. Gantetsusai believes that they can beat down an immortal. Gabimaru tells Gantetsusai that cooperation is the most reasonable choice. Fuchi thinks they just need to perform duties. Sagiri wants to see it through to the end. Nurugai punches Shion’s belly. He asks Shion if he wanted to break up with her. Yuzuriha points out that there will be only one who can be granted a pardon even if they get the immortal medicine. Gantetsusai thinks they can talk about on the return ship. Shion feels relieved after all partners joined him. He offers to escape from the place. It’s their big chance since the situation is chaotic.
