Ha-Ran and Chan agree to be friends in In Your Radiant Season episode 4. But Chan remembers the explosion. He goes to see the doctor immediately. He tells him that the sound came from outside the lab. But he doesn’t know what it was. He doesn’t know why he recalled the explosion. The doctor guesses there was the second trigger point. He believes that Ha-Ran is the second trigger point. Because Chan saw her again. She triggered something. It promoted Chan to recall another fragment of the past.
Chan thinks it’s not reasonable. He brings up that he remembered everything in Boston when he met Ha-Ran. He believes that it was all. Because it’s the aftereffect that was caused by the explosion. He didn’t hear any visuals and sounds since then. The doctor proposes a hypothesis that there’s a blank in Chan’s memory that Chan doesn’t discover. Chan is a different person now. The doctor can tell that Chan tried his best to change himself in the past seven years. It would form a defense mechanism if his will was strong that he wants to abandon his past. He might have covered the uneasy memory. There’s a part in his heart yet to be revealed.
At Shim Coffee House, Chan washes the window outside. He wonders if the sound was the signals from the past. Ha-Ran grabs the nozzle from him. She helps him wash the window. He takes a look at her. He remembers the doctor said that Ha-Ran is the key that can open the part that was closed.
Ha-Ran notices that Chan wasn’t happy after he saw her. She claims that she mustered her courage to come. He squirts water at her. He tells her that he will have a water show as long as he’s happy to see someone. Man-Jae comes back with Genius. He’s surprised that Ha-Ran came so early. She reveals she wanted to drink the coffee that he makes. He takes her into the coffee house. Chan remembers the doctor persuaded him not to stay with Ha-Ran if he doesn’t want to be in agony because of the past. Lock is safer than key for protecting the current him.
Chan runs into the coffee house. Man-Jae hands over the coffee to Chan. He notices that the plant recovers. He thinks he did a right thing to take the plant out. Chan wants to stay with Ha-Ran even if he will be shattered to pieces again. Because he likes like that because of her. Ha-Ran notices that Chan is looking at her. He remembers he told the doctor that he will shoulder it no matter what the blank is. He doesn’t care for what will happen as long as she can become happy. He won’t let his presence touch her wound. He will try his best for her.
Ha-Ran is off duty. Chan waves at her in the taxi. It startles her. He learns that she didn’t make an appointment. He asks her to get in the taxi. Na-Na sees Chan and Ha-Ran getting in the taxi together. She asks Tae-Suk to continue to watch the two.
In the evening, Chan takes Ha-Ran to the riverbank to eat fried chicken. He takes out many pens. She mistakes that he wants to open a stationery store. He claims that he likes to give people pens. He thinks she will choose a pen that is suitable for her. He reveals he won’t be in Seoul for two weeks. He brings up that they promised to be close. He thinks he should do something before he leaves. He asks her to keep the things to do list for him. He offers to go to the places together after he comes back. He goes to take fried chicken.
Ha-Ran hears the couple mentioning the dive bridge. She remembers she saw the fireworks at the bridge when there was a traffic jam. Chan gives the fried chicken to the people by the river. He takes Ha-Ran away. He offers to go to eat charcoal-grilled meat. She agrees to his plan. But she asks him to explain the bikes. He tells her that they’re going to ride their bikes across the bridge. But she wishes they will stop there. He mistakes that she cannot ride a bike. She denies it. He tells her that it’s not shame at all that she cannot bike. He tries to go to return the bike. But she stops him. She compromises. She agrees to bike.
Chan offers to make a bet that the one who’s late buying a meal. She tries to reject the bet. But he bikes. She has to join him. She sees the beautiful fountain. She asks him to buy him a meal. Because she won.
The next day, Ha-Dam runs into Ha-Ran and Ha-Young at home. She asks the two not to late because her boyfriend is going to come. Ha-Young expresses that she wants to give the two kids a lesson. But Ha-Dam walks away. Ha-Young asks Ha-Ran if Ha-Dam will get married. Ha-Ran isn’t sure.
Ha-Dam goes to the school when the pretty girl So-Ra is asking Yoo-Gyum for his number. So-Ra tells the guy that she’s interested in him. But he’s not interested in her at all. He has a girlfriend. Ha-Dam shows up. She believes that something happened. But Yoo-Gyum denies it. So-Ra learns that Ha-Dam is Yoo-Gyum’s girlfriend. She walks away. Yoo-Gyum tells his girlfriend that he saw So-Ra for the first time. He won’t see So-Ra in the future. But his friend tells him that So-Ra is good. She’s the trainee of the idol group. Yoo-Gyum covers his friend’s mouth. He takes him away.
Ha-Ran works in her office. She takes out the pens Chan gave her. She chooses one of the pens. She gets a call from Na-Na. Na-Na is going to give a lecture on women’s clothing. But she only took men’s clothing. Outside the company, Ha-Ran tries to take a taxi with the women’s clothing. But there’s no taxi driver wanting to give her a ride. Chan shows up with his car. He volunteers to help Ha-Ran. But his ear is affected by the sound. He almost hits the food delivery driver. The food delivery driver leaves after Chan gave him some money. Chan goes back to the car. He comforts Ha-Ran that he has taken care of it. But she worries that he was hurt. She regrets for letting him give her a ride. He grabs her hand. He tells her that nobody was hurt. But he cannot give her a ride. He hints at her that there’s a taxi in front of them.
Ha-Ran goes to Shim Coffee House. She apologizes to Chan. She thinks she shouldn’t have gotten into his car. She guesses it was because of the ear. He hands over the tea to her. He reveals Ben was hurt because of him. He couldn’t handle it when the siren blared on his left. He didn’t give ride to anyone since then. But he did it today. He was nervous because it was his first time. He apologizes to her. He knows she’s the person who fears something might go wrong. But he let her experience it. She tells him that his method works to her. She reveals she has bad memories of the dive bridge. She mistook that she only has sad memories of the place. But she smiled there. She guesses the sad memories will be covered one by one. She was scared in the car. But he calmed her down soon. She would flee again if it was the her from a few days ago. But she won’t do it anymore. She won’t hide in her cave before the trial version ends. She asks him not to feel guilty. He admits it to her that he was afraid of it. He worried that she will back away again. He worried that he will ruin everything. She asks him to teach her. She promises him that she will try her best to study.
Ha-Ran tries to leave the coffee house. Chan asks her not to worry about that one of his ears cannot hear. He mentions she stood to his right after she knew the secret. He thinks she doesn’t have to do so. She explains it to him that she did so because she wasn’t close to anyone. He mentions she doesn’t like to eat eggplant. He thinks she doesn’t have to be deliberately. She confesses it to him that she doesn’t dare to eat oyster as well. Because it tastes like snot. She’s saying something he doesn’t know. She thinks she should do so for being close to him. He stamps on her hand. Because she did something right. But she wants to know a secret from him next time. He can leak something little.
In the evening, Ha-Dam takes Yoo-Gyum home. He holds a bouquet of flowers. She thinks his clothes and hairstyle are good. His face is good looking as well. But he’s nervous. She tells him that he just needs to be himself. He’s not nervous anymore. He holds her hand. But she’s nervous. He asks her to trust him. He offers to perform well together.
Na-Na walks out of her house. She welcomes Ha-Dam and Yoo-Gyum. Yoo-Gyum and Na-Na recognize each other. He saved her from the street. She has dementia. She gives him a hug. She asks him to pretend that he saw her for the first time. Because Ha-Dam doesn’t know about it. Ha-Dam notices that Yoo-Gyum is crying. He explains it to her that he’s very happy after he saw her grandma.
Yoo-Gyum and Na-Na are going to have dinner. Ha-Dam calls her two sisters. But they don’t pick up her phones. Yoo-Gyum decides to come after the two sisters are there. He flees. Ha-Dam mistakes that her boyfriend ran away because her grandma didn’t talk to him. She blames Na-Na. She wonders if it’s funny that she’s going to get married.
Ha-Ran and Ha-Young come home. They run into Ha-Dam. The two apologize to the girl when they make excuses. Ha-Dam understands their plight. She tells her two sisters that it’s fine. But Ha-Young can tell that Ha-Dam is in anger. Ha-Dam asks the two not to talk to her. Because she’s enduring it with her rationality. She tries to leave. But she turns around. She asks the two if they’re jealous that she will marry earlier than they do. She’s furious to yell at them. She leaves the house.
Ha-Young breaks into the house. She asks Na-Na why Yoo-Gyum left so quickly. Na-Na explains it to her two granddaughters that the guy felt uncomfortable. She leaves. Ha-Young notices that Na-Na is sick. Ha-Ran wonders if the lecture made Na-Na tired. Na-Na returns to her room. She remembers she didn’t know where she should go after Yoo-Gyum saved her. He asked her to cross the street with him.
Ha-Ran waits for Ha-Dam outside the house. Ha-Dam returns. She wants to cry. Ha-Ran stops Ha-Dam. She apologizes to her. She offers to invite Yoo-Gyum again. But Ha-Dam shakes off Ha-Ran’s hands. She returns to her room. Ha-Ran is outside her sister’s room. She tries to knock at the door.
The next day, Ha-Young gets a call from Cha Min at Nana Kim Atelier. He wants to have lunch with her. She’s happy to accept his invitation. Tae-Suk overhears it. He tells Ha-Young that Na-Na is looking for her. She brings up that she went to see Na-Na. But Na-Na was off duty. She wonders why he keeps playing a prank on her. He explains it to her that Na-Na wants to see her today. She has to go to see Na-Na.
Ha-Young walks into Na-Na’s office. She brings up that Na-Na is looking for her. But Na-Na denies it. She asks Ha-Young not to interfere with her work. Ha-Young wonders why Tae-Suk kept tricking her. Na-Na asks Ha-Young to talk to herself outside. Ha-Young leaves Na-Na’s office. Na-Na puts a key into a box.
Ha-Ran doesn’t cover her office like before. It startles Jeremy. Ha-Ran has a meeting with Chan. He tells her that the apparel team needs to go to Gyeongju with him. Na-Na wants to join the group. But she remembers her disease.
Ha-Dam runs into Yang Changmu at the supermarket. He asks the guy about Yoo-Gyum. He reveals Yoo-Gyum left. He brings up that Yoo-Gyum had an appointment with Ha-Dam. Ha-Dam remember she found Yoo-Gyum at the school. She asked for a meeting up. But he said that he and Yang Changmu had an appointment. She calls Yoo-Gyum. She asks him if he’s with Yang Changmu. He admits it.
Ha-Dam walks on the street in the evening. She sees Yoo-Gyum. She calls him. But he ignores her. He gets into a hamburger restaurant. He meets a girl. Ha-Dam remembers Yoo-Gyum met So-Ra ever. She gets into the restaurant. She asks Yoo-Gyum if he’s happy with it. She blames him for meeting So-Ra. But she sees Ha-Ran and Ha-Young.
Ha-Dam learns that Ha-Ran and Ha-Young waited for her boyfriend at the school. Ha-Young shows Ha-Dam Yoo-Gyum’s photo. She claims that they knew the guy because he’s very famous. Ha-Dam figures it out that her two sisters threatened Yoo-Gyum. So he told a lie to her that he’s going to meet Yang Changmu. Ha-Ran tells Ha-Dam that she asked Yoo-Gyum not to leak. She and Ha-Young wanted to apologize to the guy. Yoo-Gyum thinks Ha-Ran doesn’t have to apologize. Because he left early. Ha-Young asks Ha-Dam who’s So-Ra. Ha-Dam pretends not to understand what Ha-Young says. She begins to eat. Yoo-Gyum takes a look at his girlfriend. He worries about her.
It flashes back. Yoo-Gyum visits Na-Na. They have a meeting up. He persuades her to tell her illness to her family. But she rejects it. Because she needs to work. She asks him to keep the secret. Because her three granddaughters need her.
The next day, Tae-Suk meets Cha Min at the parking lot. He asks him to tell the truth to the girls he’s dating. But Cha Min is arrogant to reject it. So Tae-Suk throws Cha Min’s cell phone into the water. Chan walks out of Shim Coffee House. He tries to get in his car. But Ha-Ran volunteers to drive the car for him.
Chan and Ha-Ran are on the way to Gyeongju. He thinks she came because she worried about him. She admits it. He becomes a professional when he talks about his work. It’s raining. The windshield wiper stops. She cannot see the road when she drives. He grabs her hand. He guides her to reach the rest stop. She notices the scars on his arms. He covers his scars immediately.
Chan contacts the car rental agency. The employee of the car rental agency comes. He checks the car. He needs to take away the car. Because the car needs to be fixed. He will send another car to Chan tomorrow. Chan and Ha-Ran are taking shelter from the rain. She puts her scarf on him. He reveals someone will help them.
Kim Sun drives her car to the rest stop. She picks up Chan. He introduces her as his grandma to Ha-Ran. Kim Sun takes the two to her house. Kim Sun makes Ha-Ran some tea. She persuades her to empty herself. Chan volunteers to make Ha-Ran a cup of coffee. But she prefers to drink tea. She drinks the tea. She finds out that the tea is delicious. Chan reveals his grandma is a ceramic artist. Kim Sun invites Ha-Ran to her studio.

At Nana Kim Atelier, Ha-Young gets a call from Cai Yuan. Cai Yuan apologizes to Ha-Young. Ha-Young tells her colleagues that she was cheated by a man. Jeremy persuades her to let it go. But she wants to ruin the man. Ha-Young waits for Cha Min outside his company. She kicks his nose. Ha-Young returns to Nana Kim Atelier. She runs into Tae-Suk. She’s surprised that he took a taxi. He reveals he sent his car to get fixed. She remembers Cha Min told her that he destroyed the guy’s rearview mirrors. She realizes that Tae-Suk was the guy. But Tae-Suk refuses to confess. He makes an excuse that Na-Na is summoning him.
Kim Sun takes Ha-Ran and Chan to her studio. Chan goes out to pick up a phone. Kim Sun tells Ha-Ran that Chan lost his mother. Chan returns to the studio. Kim Sun tells him that Ha-Ran went to the restroom. She can tell that he has feelings for the designer. But he says that Ha-Ran is the girl that he cannot fall for.
Kim Sun says goodbye to Ha-Ran and Chan at the rest stop. She ties her scarf around Ha-Ran’s neck. She drives away. Ha-Ran and Chan are in the car. They check the windshield wiper. Ha-Ran asks Chan why he cannot like her. He catches the chance to ask her if he can like her.
