At Shells Town 153rd Marine Base, the pirates are attacking the base in One Piece Season 2 episode 1. The two marines are fleeing because the pirates were too strong. The female marine trips. The male marine helps her up. He tries to take her to run away. But she’s hit by the bomb. She notices that someone is coming to her. The person is a female pirates. She thinks the two marines are pitiful. The male pirate agrees with what his partner said. She steps on the female marine. She laughs. She notices that the male marine is trying to flee. She wonders why they came to the base.
Robbin joins the two pirates. She tells the female pirate Miss Valentine that they came for due diligence. In the building, the fled marine orders the two marines to guard the door. She reports it to Commander Ripper that the pirates have gotten into the base. Ripper pulls out his swords. He orders the marines to guard the place. Robbin breaks into the hallway. She sneers at the marines. She thinks they have a lot of arms. She uses her skill Doce Fleur.
An arm shows up from the marine’s chest. It grabs another marine. The marine is stunned. Robbin walks to Ripper. He gets the marines to charge. But the marines aren’t Robbie’s rivals. She’s easy to approach Ripper. She controls the marine to shoot Ripper. She asks him where they put the body.
Robbin and her team find the body. The teammate thinks they need another Mr. 7. Robbin is disappointed that the agent was killed and he rejected the invitation of Baroque Works. Miss Valentine guesses Mr. Zero won’t be happy. Robbin figures it out that Roronoa Zoro did it. She decides to find the guy. The marine confesses it to her that the guy fled to the Grand Line with his captain. Robbin finds Luffy’s wanted. She smiles.
On the ship, Sanji needs to cook. He grabs the pepper from Usopp. Usopp blames Sanji. Because he was using the pepper. Sanji educates Usopp that they have their own tools. He brings up that he didn’t throw his rubber band into souffle. Usopp brags his pepper bomb to Sanji. But Sanji hopes the bomb can be eaten. Because he’s running low on supplies. Usopp realizes the problem. He and Sanji decide to go to talk to Nami.
Sanji brings the lunch a sauteed black pepper octopus to Nami. She praises him. But she notices that there’s not too much pepper in the octopus. She reveals she found the best route into the Grand Line. It’s not too far off, but there’s dangerous traversal ahead. She points at the map. She says that the waterway cuts through the Red Line. Usopp claims that he’s not the navigator. But he can see that the open ocean is safer. It connects right to the Grand Line. Nami feels relieved that Usopp isn’t a navigator. She tells him that the area is a Calm Belt. Once you enter the Calm Belt. The ship cannot move. She threatens him that the place is a breeding ground for sea kings. He decides not to go to the open ocean. Because sea kings hate him after he killed their clansmen. Sanji offers to go to Loguetown. Usopp thinks it’s a good idea. But Nami points out that Loguetown is the largest Marine hub. She decides to look for some islands. Sanji tempts the girl that she should go shopping. Usopp persuades Nami not to be fooled. But she thinks shopping is a good option.
Usopp joins Zoro when the guy is working out with the dumbbell. He asks him to help him stop Sanji and Nami from going to the Marine hub. He thinks it’s a bad idea. Because he and Luffy are on a wanted poster. Zoro drops his dumbbell. He tells Nami that it’s a good idea to go shopping. He needs two more swords so that he takes her side. Sanji remembers Mihawk gave Zoro a lesson with his sword. Nami is proud after Zoro joined her. But Usopp refuses to admit defeat. He wonders where Luffy is.
Luffy is sitting on the statue. He hears Usopp’s summoning. He goes downstairs. He tries to grab the food from Sanji. But Usopp stops Luffy. He persuades him to manage the members, otherwise they will die. Luffy doesn’t know what Usopp means. Zoro tells Luffy that they need to go to another place. Luffy claims that they need to go to the Grand Line so that they will find One Piece. Nami expresses that they want to go to the Grand Line as well. But they need to go shopping in Loguetown. Luffy tells the members that he doesn’t want to die. But Zoro needs two swords. Luffy agrees to the plan after Sanji hinted at him that they can buy some ingredients. Nami tells Luffy that the town is where Gold Roger was killed. She knows he wants to go to see it. He’s excited. The ship is on the way to the Marine hub after the captain gave an order.
In Loguetown, Garp visits Roger in the prison. Roger praises Garp for catching him. He wonders when’s the next parade. Garp tells Roger that they prepared a special seat for him. He doesn’t like to argue with him. What he likes is that he defeated him in the Grand Line. The two laugh when they talk about the past. But Roger coughs. He knows Garp is a good person after he fought him. He asks him to find his son and protect his son. He thinks his son shouldn’t suffer because of his sins. Garp brings up that he’s going to lead Roger to the gallows. But Roger believes that his friend won’t do the same thing to his son. He knows his son’s dawn is going to begin.
Straw Hats arrive in the town. Luffy wants to go to see the execution platform. But Nami asks Sanji to buy food with Luffy. She’s going to go to the fashion district. She knows Zoro needs swords. But the guy needs money as well. He asks Nami for some money. He claims that he buys swords for everyone. It promotes her to hope another girl joins their team. She asks Zoro for 300 percent interest before she gives the cash to him. She teaches him not to haggle.
Captain Smoker drives his three-wheeled motorcycle to the town. He asks the marines to fish his haul out. The marine is surprised that Smoker caught Koze of the Yes Pirates. Smoker tells the marine that Koze’s partner was very unfortunate. He didn’t come back to the town. Smoker tells Koze that no pirate escapes him. He asks the marine where Tashigi is. The marine reports it to Smoker that he hasn’t seen Tashigi. Smoker orders the other two marines to throw Koze in the brig.
Nami and Usopp are shopping on the street. Usopp buys himself a pair of glasses so that the people in the town won’t recognize him. Nami is interested in the Atlas of the East Blue. She reveals she had the book ever when she was a kid. He persuades her to buy it. But she rejects it. Because she prefers to draw her own maps. He reminds her that she will remember where she started if she owns the book.
On another street, a girl bumps Zoro. He mistakes her for Kuina. The girl thanks him for helping her. She volunteers to help him after she noticed that he’s lost. But he claims that he doesn’t need her help. He walks away.
Zoro walks into the store. He tells the store owner that he wants to buy some swords. But the store owner is interested in Zoro’s sword. He persuades him to sell the sword to him. He tempts him that he will pay 200,000 berry. The girl breaks into the store. She says that she recognizes the sword. It’s Wado Ichimonji. She tells the store owner that the sword is worth tens of millions. Matsu is in anger after his favorite customer Tashigi ruined his business. She came to take her sword. He asks her to pay 300 berry. She remembers it was 200 berry last week.
Zoro grabs his sword from Tashigi. She suggests that Matsu is the best candidate if he wants to sharpen his sword. He asks her to pick some swords for him since she’s an expert. She’s excited to accept the task. But he finds the Sandai Kitetsu. She persuades him not to buy the sword. She reveals it’s cursed. Matsu agrees with what Tashigi said. He refuses to sell the sword to Zoro. He worries that Zoro will be hurt. But Zoro is confident that his will is stronger than the sword’s curse. He lets the sword fall. But it doesn’t hurt him.
Luffy and Sanji are at a meat store. Luffy finds a blue-finned elephant tuna. Sanji orders the fish. Inside a phone booth, Usopp talks with Kaya over the phone. He shapes himself as a powerful captain. Nami watches the guy outside the booth. She guesses the girl misses him as well. But the guy bumps her. She catches the chance to steal his wallet. He’s furious to take back his wallet when she treats him as a thief. He claims that he’s the boss in the town. She suggests that he should choose a fool. But he doesn’t take his advice. He walks away.
Usopp comes back. He sees the thief. Nami tells Usopp that the thief is just a rookie. She notices that the air pressure changed. She guesses the storm is coming. But he doesn’t feel any rain. She teaches him that a storm isn’t just about rain. They need to go to look for other people.
At the weapon shop, Matsu takes out the sword Yubashiri. He introduces the sword as the best sword at his shop. But Zoro expresses that he doesn’t have much money. Matsu gives the sword to Zoro for free. Because he’s the swordsman he respects. Zoro thanks Tashigi for helping him. He leaves the shop.
In the evening, Luffy asks the people where the execution platform is. But nobody answers him. He bumps the thief. The thief Bartolomeo is nice to Luffy. He volunteers to take him to the execution platform. Luffy arrives at the platform in the guy’s help. He takes a look at the platform. He asks Bartolomeo about his dream. But Bartolomeo never thought about it.
Buggy shows up. He asks Luffy if he missed him. Buggy is furious to scold Luffy after Luffy mispronounced his name. He mistakes Bartolomeo for a Straw Hat. He persuades him to join them. Luffy introduces Bartolomeo as a famous person. But Bartolomeo tells Buggy that he’s nobody. He’s not related to the pirates. He tries to leave. But Buggy stops Bartolomeo. He expresses that he wants to see the audience. He’s confident that he’s going to defeat Luffy there. He summons his honey bunny.
The girl Alvida shows up. She claims that she’s not Buggy’s honey bunny. Luffy recognizes Alvida. He asks her about her ship. She complains it to him that he burned it. He says goodbye to her. But she doesn’t allow him to leave. He learns that she wants to beat him there. He attacks her. But she’s not hurt. She reveals she ate the Slip Slip Fruit. It will slide off no matter what he throws at her. She claims that she’s the Captain Iron Mace Alvida. She lifts her spiked club. She knocks him into the tent. Luffy feels dizzy after Buggy put the seastone bracelets on him.
Smoker walks on the street. The marine reports it to the captain that pirates appeared at the execution platform. Smoker orders the marines to surround the area. But the little girl gets his pants dirty with the ice cream. He gives some money to the little girl so that she can buy more ice cream. Tashigi shows up. Smoker reminds her that she messed up the buttons on her jacket. He takes her away.
Nami and Usopp arrive at the square. They don’t see Luffy. Usopp notices that Zoro got new swords. Zoro returns the money to Nami. But she asks him to pay her the interest. He reveals someone gave the swords to him. She tells him that they need to go back to the Merry. Because the storm is coming. Sanji shows up with the fish he bought. But he lost Luffy. Zoro tries to fight Sanji. Nami stops Zoro. She reminds him that they need to find the captain.
In the tent, Alvida decides to sentence Luffy to death. Luffy tries to speak. But Buggy stops Luffy. He’s the guy’s lawyer. He tells the people that Luffy should be killed. Straw Hats are looking for Luffy outside the tent. Luffy hears Sanji’s voice. Buggy orders Alvida to go to take care of Straw Hats.
Outside the tent, Usopp defeats Alvida with his pepper bomb. Smoker and Tashigi arrive. Tashigi notices that the pirates and Straw Hates are having a fight. She wants to join the fight. But Smoker goes against it. He wants to reaps the benefits. She discovers that Zoro is a pirate.
Buggy takes Luffy to the execution platform. He asks him to speak out his last wish. Luffy tells the people that he will be King of the Pirates. Buggy tries to kill Luffy. But he’s struck by lightning. Luffy takes over his hat from Bartolomeo. Nami asks the people to flee with them. But Smoker informs the people that they’re under arrest.
Zoro tries to flee with Luffy. But Tashigi blocks his way. He defeats her. But he doesn’t kill her. She’s furious to tell him that he’s not worth of the sword. Luffy and Sanji encounter Smoker. Smoker is too powerful. Luffy and Sanji are defeated. Smoker tries to kill Luffy. But Luffy’s father stops Smoker. He takes him away.
Luffy and Sanji return to the ship. Luffy doesn’t know who saved him. At the bar, Tashigi is drinking. Robbin finds the marine. She gives the Wings to her. She disappears. Smoker shows up. He tells Tashigi that he wants to make sure that there won’t be another Gold Roger. He asks her to go to hunt Luffy with him. The next day, Straw Hats arrive at the entrance of the Grand Line. Luffy is full of fighting spirit.
