In the Ballet Theater, Eleanor watches the ballet with Robert in Imperfect Women episode 2. She notices the ring he wears. She doesn’t know if the guy remembers that she was the first woman who met him. Many years later, she made him laugh when they were drunk. She knew he felt it as well. But Nancy walked over. She introduced Nancy to Robert. Eleanor mistakes the ballerina for Nancy. She’s scared. Robert receives a phone that Nancy lies in David’s arms.

Eleanor and Robert leave the Ballet Theater. They’re in a car. Eleanor tells Robert that it’s not Nancy when she holds his cell phone. She took David’s side. Because she thought it’s not reasonable. Robert points out that everyone sees it now. They have their ideas. She asks him to tell her how he feels. He’s upset after he saw the photo. He expresses that he still loves Nancy. He will try his best if his wife can come back. He thinks it’s crazy.
Eleanor and Robert arrive at Eleanor’s house. He thanks her for accompanying him. He mentions they went somewhere important to Nancy. She gets off his car. He drives away. She tries to open the door. Jordan shows up. He’s surprised after he noticed that she dressed up. She feels sorry. He claims that she could tell it to him if she had other plans. She explains it to him that she had previous plans to go to the ballet with a friend. Her phone was on silent. He thinks she doesn’t take him seriously. She reminds him that she has told him that she’s not interested in serious. He explains it to her that what he meant is she doesn’t respect him as a person. She disagrees. She tells him that it’s not an easy time for her right now. He points out that it’s not about tonight. He mentions she came over two hours after she said she would.
Eleanor suggests that they should go upstairs to talk about it. She offers to open a bottle of wine. He’s happy to follow her into the house after he heard wine.
The next day, Eleanor lies in the bed with Jordan. She gets out of bed. She goes for a morning run. She returns to her house. Jordan hands over the coffee to her. She reminds him that he will be late for work. But he thinks his boss will understand. He notices the painting on the wall. He didn’t know she was into fishing. She denies it. He tells her that he knows a great spot at Lake Gregory if she wants to learn it. But she urges him to go to the office.
At Mary’s house, Eleanor gives the chocolate to Mary’s daughters. Mary gets the girls to thank their aunt. Howard gets into the house with his son, Marcus. He scolds Marcus. Marcus asks Mary to tell her husband to cut him some slack. But she asks him and his father to leave. Mary apologizes to Eleanor. She promises her friend that she will have her full attention. But she needs to make some room.
The papers drop on the floor. Eleanor picks the papers up. She notices David’s photo on the papers. She asks Marry about it. Marry says that it’s nothing. But Eleanor knows it’s a police report when she reads the report. Marry claims that they’re public records. Eleanor says yes. But she wonders why Mary has the reports. Mary mentions David was arrested for robbery, not murder. Because of some random informant’s testimony. The news is trying to connect it with Nancy. Eleanor learns that Mary is spending a lot of time on the case. Mary disagrees. She thinks she’s not fragile.
Eleanor visits Robert. He reveals Kit wanted to do something for Cora’s birthday. He forgot about it. He’s trying to study what his daughter likes. Eleanor points out that Robert didn’t have to do it when he was with Nancy. But he wants to give it a try. Because it’s Cora’s first birthday after her mother passed away.
It flashes back. Nancy throws a birthday party for Cora. She introduces her daughter to the guests. Eleanor is very happy when she has fun with her friends. But she’s jealous while Robert hugs Nancy.
At present, Eleanor volunteers to help Robert prepare the birthday party. She mentions she attended many festivities of Nancy. But he worries that it will bother her. She claims that it’s not too much. Because it’s for Cora. She asks him to send her what he has.
Eleanor walks out of Robert’s house. She sees Detective Ganz. She mistakes that the detective came to buy in the neighborhood. Ganz says that she cannot afford it. She notices that Eleanor’s car is beautiful. She shows her the photo that she has seen in the news. She mentions Nancy looks relaxed. She thinks the lady was a socialite. Eleanor reveals Nancy had a different life before she met Robert. The life was tough. She lived in the trailer park. Her parents were terrible. Ganz knows it. She has looked into Nancy. She thinks Nancy isn’t match for Eleanor. Eleanor is unhappy after knowing Ganz is looking into the friendship of her and Nancy. Ganz denies it. Eleanor realizes that the robbery charge is just a trick. Ganz didn’t have question her if the police got any evidence from David. Eleanor wonders if Ganz is looking into someone else.
The next day, Eleanor goes for a morning run on the street. She notices that a car is tailing her. She’s furious to stop the car. She gets the cop to roll down the window. She asks him for his badge number. He claims that he’s not a cop. He works for Donovan.
Eleanor goes to the restaurant when the guy is picking up two girls. The two girls leave. Eleanor praises the guy. But she wonders why he used her story to get the girls to be interested in him. He thinks it’s a good story. He mentions he funded mother and her little charity thing. He claims that the story belongs to him as well. Eleanor thanks her brother, Donnie for funding her. He mentions his follower Winston said that she can sprint. She claims that she’s fine since Winston didn’t stalk her anymore. She persuades him to go home. But he doesn’t want to be her babysit. He tries to bring up their father’s death. But she stops him. She doesn’t want the man to be involved. He hands over the group photo of her and Robert to her. He says that he would have denied it if he didn’t have evidence. She claims that it’s two old friends grieving. But he points out that she and Robert look very happy. He knows his sister still has feelings for the guy. He persuades her to admit that Robert is her blind spot.
In the evening, Eleanor is at home. She receives a message from Robert. He tells her that the police are there. Those guys are tearing up the place. He asks her to come to his place. Eleanor drives to Robert’s house. She sees the police. Robert hands over the warrant to her. He tells her that the police had a warrant. The warrant is for some of Nancy’s things and their financial records. They wanted to know if Robert gained anything from killing his wife. They took his laptop. He was going to call Kit. But she would have called his father. His father would have turned it into a whole storm. Eleanor tells Robert that those guys are just doing their duty diligence. They won’t find anything. He knows she was right. He thinks it’s not the right time to throw a birthday party. But she disagrees. She thinks Cora deserves some normalcy. It’s what Nancy wanted.
The next day, Eleanor works with Jordan at the company. Eleanor receives a message from Robert. He reports to her that David was released. Eleanor asks Jordan to tell the police that she went to his house. She thinks they should be helpful. Marcus shows up. He tells Eleanor that his mother is at the police station.
At the police station, Eleanor tells Ganz that her attorney is on the way to the police station. Mary won’t answer any questions before the attorney comes. Ganz claims that they’re not arresting Mary. She needs someone to take Mary away. She reveals Mary has been harassing her officers. Mary submitted twenty public records requests last week. She crossed a line today. Ganz threatens Eleanor that she will use handcuffs next time.
Eleanor walks out of the police station with Marry. She wonders what her friend did. She thinks it matters a lot. Mary tells Eleanor that she threw a stapler at a wall. She thinks those guys wasted too much time on David. They didn’t look at any of her leads. She circled every single David in their college yearbooks. She found every David that Nancy follows on social media. She even found a William David who owns a flower shop. She mentions Nancy shut her out. But Eleanor thinks Nancy shut her out as well. Because the lady didn’t tell many things to her. Eleanor offers to have a very relaxed evening. She will get some takeout. She will brings it over for Mary and her family.
Eleanor finds Robert when the guy is playing tennis on the tennis court. He tells her that he would come there when he wanted to drink. She asks him if the police contacted him. He tells her that those guys dropped off some of Nancy’s boxes. But her brother contacted him. He was shocked when the guy called him. He tells Eleanor that Donovan asked him not to touch her. He thinks Donovan did it as a brother.
Eleanor finds Donovan at the swimming pool. She asks her brother what decade he thinks they’re living in. She wonders if he thinks it’s the dark ages where she cannot decide who she dates. She claims that she’s somebody who people look up to and rely on. She makes responsible decisions about what she does. He suggests that she should have a seat. So she will calm down. She brings up that he called Robert. He realizes that Robert leaked it to her. She asks him why he didn’t allow Robert to date her. He tells her that he sees it that she and Robert are like-minded people. But Robert’s family is problem. He believes that Robert’s family got David to be arrested. She tells him that Robert didn’t kill Nancy. Nancy were dead when Robert knew David. He learns that she told Robert that Nancy cheated on him. She wanted to help the man when he was going to call the police.
Eleanor eats with Mary’s family at Mary’s house. Marry’s daughter the little girl is surprised that her mother was in the jail. Mary claims that she has the right to do so. Howard wants the kids to help him clean the table. But they’re smart to run away. Howard tells Mary that their children were scared. He knows Nancy is very important to her. But her family is very important to her as well. But she cannot let it go. Howard thanks Eleanor for her help and the noodles.
Eleanor tells Mary that her husband has a right to be concerned. Mary reveals she found an address for David. She believes that the guy knows something about what happened. She tried to talk to Nancy. But Nancy didn’t answer her.
Eleanor and Mary visit David. The guy lets them in after they begged him. He reveals Nancy contacted him after she saw his work. She asked him to paint her scars. The scars came from an accident that she caused. But Mary knows it wasn’t caused by Nancy. Eleanor can tell that David and Nancy are close, according to the photo. He says that Nancy just stayed at the party for a while. He thinks the man Nancy brought wasn’t happy. The man was a white. Marry guesses the man was Robert. Eleanor disagrees. Because she thinks Robert didn’t see the photo. Mary tries to show Robert’s photo to David. But he’s furious to reject it. Because he was in a jail because of the case. He wonders where Eleanor and Mary were when Nancy suffered.

At Robert’s house, Eleanor notices that Robert isn’t fine. She follows him into his study. He tells her that his family leaked the photo. She asks him if he met the man. He denies it. Cora summons her father. Robert and Eleanor get into Nancy’s room. Cora blames Robert for throwing away her mother’s boxes. Eleanor comforts Cora that her father won’t do that. Cora throws a fit to Robert. Eleanor gets Cora to sit on the bed with her. She persuades her that she can put her mother’s stuff in a house. Cora takes Nancy’s handkerchief. She tears up in Eleanor’s arms.
Outside the house, Robert puts Nancy’s boxes into his trunk. He tells Eleanor that he doesn’t want to go to the house alone. They go to the house. They carry the boxes into the house. Eleanor cries in Robert’s arms after she realized that she was mean to Nancy. They sleep together. In the evening, Eleanor walks out of the bedroom. She finds the letter Robert wrote to Nancy. It seems that Robert knew Nancy slept with another man. Robert shows up. He asks Eleanor if she’s fine.
